(Edit: This was supposed to be a toxic ship through and through, but then I fell more in love with the characters and things just happened!)

Chapter 1: Chapter One

Chapter Text

“So, like, you never had a boyfriend before?”

The tips of Cady’s ear became hot and pink at Karen’s question. She wasn’t embarrassed by that fact, it was just… intimidating to feel so out of the loop when surrounded by the Plastics, especially there, in their natural habitat, their territory—Regina’s room.

At the shake of her head, Karen insisted, “Not even a girlfriend?”

Cady noticed Regina observing her through the vanity mirror with an air of detached curiosity, but before she could answer, she heard Gretchen coming to her aid.

“Karen! As feminists we should not slut shame or prude shame women!” Gretchen smiled softly at Cady, adding quietly, “But it is a little weird…”

“I mean, it was just me and my mom in Kenya. I’ve had crushes on some village boys, b-but they– hm, it never worked out.”

“Have you even kissed anyone before???” Karen asked, sounding genuinely concerned for her new friend.

Cady glanced at Regina from the corner of her eye, fidgeting with her folded hands on her lap, disliking having all their attention zeroed in on her.

“Mm…”

“Gretchen, Karen.” Regina as she retouched her makeup. “Time for you to go.”

The two immediately got up from Regina’s bed and Cady followed suit.

“Did I say your name, Cady?”

Cady froze, sharing a look with Gretchen who was obviously having a hard time getting a handle over her feelings—she wanted to ask Regina why Cady didn’t have to go, but she feared questioning her.

Sitting back down, Cady waved her friends goodbye and promptly started fidgeting with her hands again. She watched through the mirror as Regina applied her favorite strawberry lip gloss, not bothering to say a word to Cady, letting her stew in her own awkwardness.

When Cady could not handle the silence anymore, she motioned to the door, “I-I can go–”

“If I wanted you to go, I’d have told you to go.” Regina’s tone was even, bordering on annoyed. “Cady,” she sighed, finally standing from the vanity, slowly stepping toward her bed, her eyes locked on Cady’s. “Do you like being my friend?”

Regina was so close, towering over her, forcing Cady to tilt her head up to be able to look her in the eye. The question felt like a trap; the words spoken too sweetly, blue eyes too earnest and too innocent-looking; but what else could Cady say but, “Of course I do!”

The smirk she got in response had Cady swallowing hard, her heart beating faster. “Now…” Regina placed a finger under Cady’s chin, keeping her head tilted up, “you wouldn’t want to embarrass me, would you?”

Heat spread over Cady’s cheeks and she shook her head, unable to look away from Regina.

“Good girl.” Regina’s smirk stayed firmly in place as she reveled in the control she had over her little prey. “I can’t have you walking around school not knowing how to kiss. What kind of friend would people think I am if they found out? Worse, what would they think of me if you kissed someone at a party and you totally sucked at it?”

Regina let her words sink in Cady’s mind, making sure her tone conveyed the perfect amount of urgency and care so panic would start to coil in Cady’s guts.

She watched with rapt attention as Cady reacted exactly as she wished; her brows furrowing, her cute, innocent eyes turning desperate. It was time to deliver the final blow.

“I can help you.”

“How?”

“I happen to be a very good kisser. I can teach you.” Regina offered as if it was nothing, as if it was a simple act, like lending her a pencil or something.

“W-Would you do that for me?” Cady asked, wondering if Regina was being sincere about any of it, but… Aaron had dated her, Regina knew what it was like to kiss him and he must have liked it enough to stay with her until he found out about her cheating.

“You’re my friend, of course I would.” Regina said what she knew Cady needed to hear. “Relax,” she instructed, keeping her eyes on Cady’s as she began to lean down ever so slowly.

Finding it already hard to breathe or think, Cady asked, “What should I do?”

“Follow my lead.” With an easygoing smile, Regina swept a strand of loose hair behind Cady’s ear, cupping her neck. “And enjoy.”

Cady’s eyes fluttered shut and she felt as if she were in a movie—soft lips brushed against hers with no rush or impatience; there was only softness, tenderness, and heat . Regina’s kiss made her feel like a princess, it pulled her in, it enchanted her, making Cady forget all about Aaron. Instead, her mind was filled with thoughts of softness, pink, and the taste of strawberries.

That is, until the moment she felt Regina’s hand threading in her hair, grabbing a handful of it and pulling it firmly. Electricity shot from the base of her skull straight between her thighs, and there was no stopping the pitiful little moan that bubbled up from deep within Cady, surprising them both.

Veni, vidi, vici, bitch, Regina thought, the thrill of the conquest sending a shiver down her spine, but she strategically chose not to comment on it—she needed Cady to feel safe, she needed her to stay pliable and open for her plan to work—instead, Regina rewarded the noise by nipping at Cady’s lower lip, earning her a sweet little whimper.

Pulling back to inspect her work, Regina smirked again. Cady's pupils were blown, her cheeks flushed red, her lips swollen; but the cherry on top was seeing Regina's own lip gloss smeared  on Cady's lips—she was leaving her mark, staking her claim—Cady was hers even if she didn't know it yet.

“Okay, now you can leave.” She said, abandoning Cady on the bed in favor of reapplying her lip gloss back at her vanity.

The poor girl looked so confused, Regina almost pitied her.

“Um… uh…” Cady swallowed hard, closing her eyes and squeezing her thighs as she tried to ignore how she ached for something she wasn’t completely sure of. “Was I… was it good?” She asked, hating how badly she doubted herself, hating how badly she wanted Regina to praise her.

Finding Cady's eyes through the mirror, Regina read Cady like an open book. “I said you could go now.”

“Right…” Cady got up, wondering when her heart had started to hurt, but as she reached the bedroom door she was stopped by Regina calling her name.

“Yeah?”

“You're a quick learner.”

Cady grinned shyly, her treacherous heart having already forgotten the pain it was feeling a mere second ago.

“I might teach you another thing or two.” Regina smirked, letting the promise linger in the air. “Just keep this between us.”

“I won't mention it.” Cady blushed, completely disregarding any warnings her mind was trying to give her in favor of riding the high of Regina’s kiss. “I-I’ll see you around.”

  Veni.

          Vidi.

                     Vici.

                              Bitch.
