encountering
🌑
It was the first time that it had struck him, really. The first time it struck him in a way that all other moments, small moments of realisation, struck him too. He couldn’t quite remember what his ‘mission’ had been about, but he had to keep an eye on someone Orochimaru wanted to interrogate. It could be considered spying. A waste of his training time, he’d considered it.
He followed a man, slightly older but not bad looking, into a bar and got funny looks when he’d ordered something that was not sake. What had he ordered? Cold tea, water? He didn’t remember. He remembered getting silly looks and realising this was not just a cafe. A bar, he’d thought at first. Still wrong to a certain degree.
He remembered the man walking up to someone and, before sitting down, kissing another man on the lips. The other man —more of a boy, still — laughed at the peck and pulled him back down, grabbing the other by the neck and pulling him in for a deeper kiss.
Sasuke — stupid — stared at them and realised that the boy must have been around the same age as him. He watched as their tongues touched even when their mouths were already separating. The boy looked happy to get kissed and ready to tease. He looked weak but boyish. Somewhat tall. Blonde. Fucking hell.
“You know that it’s impolite to stare, right?” The man behind the bar said, sliding his drink towards him. He’d almost forgotten he was supposed to act like he wasn’t spying on the older man. By staring at him he was doing quite the opposite.
He took his drink. Shrugged.
“Don’t be shy. This is not the place to hold back. You’re a handsome kid, you can probably just walk up to someone and ask to go home with them. Hell, I’d take you if I wasn’t working. You’re a pretty boy.”
“No. Not necessary.”
“What? You’re not going to tell me you're straight, right? I won’t believe you with that look on your face.”
“I won’t.” He said it without thinking. Later he realised that it had been the smart thing to say. It was what any good spy would have said in a gay bar. It was what had kept him on the low. Being a young gay boy, staring because he wanted to figure things out. That. The truth was that he hadn’t thought anything before saying it. He’d drank his non-alcoholic drink, feeling numb, and then he’d gone back to his hideout. Where he’d dreamed.
Everything came together, right.
Struck him all at once, sure.
He dreamed of being on a mission and sleeping on the ground with Naruto, his heart beating loudly. He dreamed of getting riled up when his old friend wanted to beat him up, wanted Naruto to give him everything he had — every ounce of attention — until one of them was laying face first on the ground, with the other one sitting on top.
He remembered realising that not all of that had been about fighting.
That there’d never been another fight that had made his heart beat like that. It had been stupid to think so. If he imagined himself, coming into a bar, and kissing such a bright smiling face — his heart was beating exactly the same way.
🌕
He’d just been waiting. Well aware of what Jiraiya was doing inside. He wasn’t exactly sneaky about it either. Maybe he should have gone off somewhere, to eat or to train by himself, but he was getting impatient. He wanted to get stronger. He knew Sasuke wasn’t doing bullshit like waiting outside of brothels, but here he was, outside of a brothel, having spent his last money on some ice cream and eating it in the early spring sun. Once he learned how to ignore the giggling inside of the building and his own impatient heart, it was pretty nice.
The sun.
Travelling together with someone and meeting new people.
It wasn’t nice like being around his own friends, though. Then again it wasn’t like having his own friends felt the same since Sasuke had left— it felt empty.
“Boy?” A girl looked around the corner, giggling. He guessed she was his age, maybe a little bit older. She was pretty. Her hair was a dark shade of brown and she had really pink lips. He guessed that that was pretty on a girl. “Do you want to come inside for something to drink?”
His ice cream was finished by now, the air a little chilly when a cloud passed in front of the sun. He nodded and grinned at her. “Thanks, yeah.”
The girl took him by the hand. Instead of offering him a seat inside of the main room, though, she pulled him towards one of the private rooms with her. The older women giggled and waved at her before she closed the door behind them.
Oh. Oh Shit. He wasn’t completely sure what people did here but he knew enough. Enough to know that he should not be here. “I— oh— I don’t have any money.”
The girl laughed. “That’s okay! I— don’t laugh at me okay — I just thought you were very cute. It’s a slow day today and I like you.”
“You like me?” How could she like him? She didn’t know him. He’d just sat outside, staring off into space and being, well, impatient.
She hit his shoulder playfully, her laugh quite bright. “Silly, I mean that you looked handsome. I’ll let you touch me.” He realised that the pink on her cheeks was make-up. He imagined lifting his hand to touch her cheek. He imagined himself kissing her. He imagined doing everything she wanted — lifting her dress, and then, well.
Suddenly he felt more impatient than he had done before.
He wanted to train. He wanted everything to go back to the way it was. He wanted his life back. He wanted Sasuke back. He didn’t want to be here. He didn’t want to feel close to somebody else.
“Thank you for the offer.” He got up. “I’ll just wait outside instead, though.” He looked at the door, then back at the girl. “No offence, you are a very pretty girl.”
She pouted. “Then why?”
“I don’t think I can, sorry. I’ll — I’ll go now. Bye. Thank you.” He opened the door and made his way back through the brothel. Ignoredall the surprised eyes on him. The pretty girl followed behind him, confused, until her colleagues stopped her.
He made his way outside as fast as he could.
Heard them yell at each other excitedly, asking what was up. What the hell was wrong with a young boy if he didn’t want sex. Saying she was out of his league anyway.
“He said he couldn’t!” The girl said.
Naruto looked down at his feet. Was that crazy then? It wasn’t like he never thought about it, about love or sex. It wasn’t like he never wanted to. It just felt— well, wrong.
“He didn’t want to? With you? Don’t be sad. He must have been gay, that’s what it must have been. Those people do exist, you know! You can’t always tell.”

🌑
Lost? Was that what he was? He didn’t have anyone near him that he loved, that was for sure. Losing his goals. Losing himself. God, fucking Naruto with his bright blue fucking eyes always saying that he forgave him. Come back. Come back. You’re my best friend. Sasuke wanted to kill him sometimes.
Not actually. Not anymore.
Actually, he had never.
It was just that he’d never met anything so fucking stupid. No one that riled him up as much.
Was he lost for being alone then? For not coming back the way Naruto had wanted him to? He didn’t want to see any of them. He couldn’t be Naruto’s fucking friend. He couldn’t be with Naruto either, even if he had the chance. Naruto deserved so much better. He’d drop every single thing for him again. Again and again. He’d done so every single time.
“You’re really hot.” The man on the other side of the room had taken off his clothes. Sasuke just stood there, realised that if he wanted to get fucked, he had to take off his clothes too. How had he gotten here again?
He shrugged his blouse off, his missing arm — his stump — standing out. People ignored how messed up he looked. It wasn’t often that he wished he still had both of his arms. Now all he could think about was how he’d lost it. Blown to bits without a hint of regret. “Even with that stump of yours.” The man said, pulling his hardening cock.
Was Naruto really the stupid one?
“Don’t talk about it.”
The man laughed. He was his type, he guessed. Broad shoulders, a bit more tanned. Light brown hair but it would do. Cocky. Or, confident, as some people would call it. “Any other requests, princess?”
Sasuke looked him up and down. “Don’t kiss me. Don’t look into my eyes. I want to be on my stomach.”
The man watched him in disbelief. “For real?”
“Or you can fuck right off.”
The man laughed, linking his fingers around the hem of Sasuke’s underwear and then pulled it down. “Okay, get on your stomach then. You’re lucky you’re hot. ”
Sasuke breathed in, feeling the cold fingers on his skin, feeling his cock harden a bit. He was ready for this. It was about time. This man was broad, cocky, laughed about nothing in particular — he would do. As he was pushed into the pillow, though, he imagined himself losing to Naruto in a fight. It made him feel safer. Warmer. Being pushed into the cold hard ground instead of this soft mattress.
It had happened before. He’d enjoyed the feeling of giving up. Giving in.
He’d realised that later. That he wasn’t losing or giving up. He was giving in. To Naruto. “Rougher.” He moaned out.
“Ah— you’re so—.”
“Shut up.”
🌕
Sasuke was back but he was distant, still. Naruto often wondered why he even returned. He wasn’t reporting to anyone, he was just showing his face. To Naruto, mainly. On most visits he didn’t even check in with Sakura or Kakashi, no matter how often Naruto tried to convince him.
At least he’d agreed to getting drinks this time. On some nights, they’d just sit in Naruto’s apartment, Sasuke reading some book and Naruto doing fuck all. Now they were at a bar, busy but cosy enough. Naruto heard himself talking and wondered if Sasuke even cared about all these simple stories. About people he’d met, missions he’d done, all of his friends who were dating, breaking up or getting married.
Sometimes Sasuke smiled, or laughed, though.
It set his heart on fire.
So he joked. He joked as much as he could until Sasuke laughed or hit his shoulder with a satisfied look. He wanted this moment to never end, even if it was awkward from time to time. He wanted them to have enough time so no one — not even Sasuke — would notice them getting closer and closer together until they were touching. Shoulder to shoulder. Damn, he wished he could touch Sasuke without a fight.
“Sas— do you want another—”
Before he could finish his sentence another man leaned over the bar, touching Sasuke’s shoulder and grinning smugly. “Can I get you a drink?” The man asked.
Sasuke sat back, seemingly not bothered. Seemingly used to this. Naruto watched them and felt — well, helpless, young. Sasuke didn’t shove the man away. Instead, he asked: “Was that really what you came to ask me? I don’t like wasting time.”
Used to it. There was no other way to describe that reply. Sasuke didn’t seem surprised that it was a man coming up to him. Girls did so too — always hanging around Sasuke, wanting to date him, but he’d never seen Sasuke reply in kind. Not like this.
Had that been it?
Had Sasuke not cared about all those girls because he was gay? Naruto had thought Sasuke just had other things on his mind. That he didn’t care. Naruto had thought Sasuke was, simply put, much better than all of them. Completely out of their league.
“Not wasting time.” The man nodded, grinned. Asshole. “I like that. Coming home with me?”
Naruto watched them. He watched Sasuke, but Sasuke wasn’t looking at him. Instead, Sasuke took a swing of his drink, finished it, and then got up. Still not looking at him, he said: “Naruto, I’ll see you tomorrow.”
It took Naruto a while before his brain had caught up. As soon as it had, though, Naruto jumped out of his chair and followed the two. He called after Sasuke, stopped them in his tracks.
“You are not going with that dude.” He said, because fuck thinking before speaking. To hell with that.
Sasuke turned to him. Challenging, as always. “Why not?”
“Are you that drunk? You’re not going with some random—”
“What is it to you, Naruto?”
He couldn’t answer that. He knew friends allowed the other to go out with someone. He knew that some people had sex after drinking. He knew good friends would be excited for each other, even.
As soon as he thought about Sasuke kissing this random stranger, though, his vision turned black. He couldn’t stand it. He was going to tear this entire village down before letting Sasuke leave.
“What the hell is your problem? You are not leaving. Sasuke, damn it.”
The man looked at Sasuke, mumbled a soft: “That your boyfriend?”
“No,” Sasuke answered him. “He’s not my boyfriend, so I wonder what the hell his problem is. Are you being homophobic, that it? Is that where you draw the line?”
“Shut up.”
“So you are?”
“I'm not fucking homophobic, Sasuke, for god’s sake. I don’t know. I’m just sure you don’t want this—I don’t know, Sasuke— I— ” He didn’t know what else to say. He was pretty sure Sasuke did want that. Which meant Sasuke had sex with men. Which meant he was picked up and touched all over. Which meant he didn’t know Sasuke as well as he thought he did.
Which meant Sasuke was gay.
He was just jealous. Any fucking idiot could tell. He hoped Sasuke couldn’t, but his chances weren’t too great on that one.
Sasuke sighed loudly. “Okay. Whatever. I’m leaving.”
The man nodded happily. “Okay, let’s go.”
Sasuke glared at him. “Not with you.” He turned towards Naruto, but didn’t quite look at him. “See you.”
Is what he’d said.
He hadn’t seen Sasuke after that, though. He’d been gone for weeks. Sasuke had left the village and no one knew exactly where he’d gone. When he came back, he acted like nothing had happened. Naruto couldn’t, though. Naruto realised that if he wasn’t going to touch Sasuke — if he wasn’t going to love him properly — some other dude would. So he would. Whatever it took.
That didn’t mean he was confident. Quite the opposite. He was scared.
Scared and inexperienced.

🌑
They were back to normal, he guessed. It wasn’t clear what normal had been for them, but this seemed familiar. So, normal. Naruto had asked him to spar, so they were on the training grounds furthest from the village — trying not to blow Konoha up again.
Naruto was breaking a sweat, he could feel himself starting to as well. No big jutsus, but they were going all out. He didn’t quite know how to explain how insane he felt every time Naruto landed a blow. How crazy did someone have to be to like that ? As long as he was being touched.
He was a desperate fool.
It had been forever. He didn’t remember the last time he allowed himself to lay down in someone else's bed. Every time he thought about picking someone up, Naruto's voice rang in the back of his mind. His jealous, jealous words. Naruto was a moron, so he might not even know he’d been jealous, but Sasuke knew what jealousy looked like.
He felt it every time someoneshot heart eyes at the village hero.
Today there was something off about Naruto though. It wasn’t that he was distracted, not exactly. He eyed Sasuke more like an eagle. Unlike himself. It felt weird, to see those bright blue eyes hold anything but openness. “Distracted?” Sasuke asked, blocking one of Naruto’s blows. He was getting tired. They’d been fighting for what seemed like hours.
“No.” Naruto kicked him to the face, Sasuke blocked.
“Break?”
Naruto grinned. Cocky. Confident. God, he made Sasuke lose his mind sometimes. “No.”
As he said it, he landed a hit and then swooped Sasuke to the ground. “Fuck—” Sasuke gritted out. He felt himself hitting the floor of the forest, grass and sand. Naruto took his one arm and restrained him.
“Are you distracted?” Naruto asked him, pushing him further into the ground.
Sasuke didn’t care to lie. He huffed. “Yeah.”
“Thinking about someone else?”
Sasuke looked back at Naruto. Focusedon him alone. Giving in. Right. Losing and giving in. “No.”
Naruto pressed him further into his headlock. Sasuke felt the skin of his face against the small stones, Naruto’s sweating body on top of him. Heavy. Breathing loudly.
“You’re still angry about that.” Sasuke mumbled.
“ You’re having sex with random people.”
“Mhm—” He guessed he wanted to rile Naruto up. He wanted him jealous, angry. “And?”
“Bastard.” He felt Naruto soften his grip, simply letting himself weigh down on him. Then, to his surprise, his horror, like an absolute dream, Naruto nuzzled his nose into Sasuke’s neck. He breathed out heavily, his heart beating loudly.
He let go of Sasuke’s arm, slowly pushed his hand underneath Sasuke’s shirt instead. Cauloused, sweaty fingers on his skin. His skin that hadn’t been touched in fucking forever. Had never been touched like this.
“Naruto?”
“Can I?” He asked it hoarsely, desperately. As if he wasn’t the only one for him. As if he wasn’t allowed to do anything he wanted. Every single thing. It was his.
Sasuke wanted to tell him; no one else. He wanted to tell him; we can do this every morning. He stayed silent. Instead, he looked up at Naruto, sweaty and with his hair hanging in front of his eyes, and he nodded. He nodded with his heart in his throat.
As soon as he had, Naruto licked his neck, clumsily but hurriedly pulling his own and then Sasuke’s pants down. He let his forehead lean in Sasuke’s hair, breathing against his ear. Sasuke closed his eyes, felt those warm sweaty hands travel from his hip, to his tight, to his ass.
“Sasuke—” Naruto mumbled out. Sasuke wanted him to be loud. To say his name over and over again. He wanted them to scream each other’s name. Naruto’s hard on pressed against Sasuke’s leg. He watched wide eyed as Naruto spit into his hand, his heart skipping a beat.
He’d never seen Naruto like this.
Clouded eyes. Like there was only one thing he could think about — him. Or like he couldn’t think about anything at all. Too frustrated. Too Jealous. Jealous, horny and covered in dirt.
“Careful.” He hissed. Then, softer: “Been a while.”
Naruto slowed his pace down for a second, took that moment to softly kiss Sasuke’s temple. “Okay.” With his lips on Sasuke, his voice low, he spread his saliva onto Sasuke’s asshole, slowly pressing his index finger in and then — licking his earlobe.
Seconds later, impatient as ever, a reckless and clumsy idiot, Naruto pressed into him. Sasuke felt himself being ripped open around Naruto’s cock, and somehow couldn’t help but enjoy it. This is what he’d wanted. God, this was Naruto on top of him. Naruto slowly pushed in deeper, hoping Sasuke would loosen around his dick. Sasuke cried out loudly, obviously in pain, but he didn’t give a fuck. “Sorry—” Naruto mumbled, still pushing him down and pumping into him. Idiot.
Still dressed, sweaty, dirty— Naruto’s lips kept finding his skin. Never his lips, but every spot on his neck and jaw. Sasuke closed his eyes, moaned. He wanted to say Naruto’s name. Instead, just so Naruto knew he wanted this , he pushed up his hips and turned them for Naruto to fuck him deeper.
“Oh fuck, Sas—” Naruto grabbed him by the hair. “Fuck— Ah shit.”
“Mhm—” he turned his face towards Naruto, painful with Naruto pulling his hair so tightly, and looked into his eyes. He couldn’t say he loved him. Not now. Sasuke was sure that Naruto was— that he was jealous. Worried about losing him. Frustrated and confused.
But right now Naruto was looking into his eyes and fucking his brains out.
“Naruto, fuck—”
The second they held each other’s gaze, Naruto started cumming, fisting Sasuke’s hair and pressing him further into the ground. Sasuke looked away, trying to focus on the feeling of Naruto on top of him, inside of him, while it lasted. He’d be coming back to this. Every single person after this would be compared to and imagined in this moment. Every single night, he’d think about it.
Naruto fell still, slowly letting himself fall off of him. Sasuke, not daring to look at Naruto yet, not able to pull his clothes on because this idiot came inside of him, laid still. Naruto reached out, pushing his chin to make Sasuke look at him.
Those wide blue eyes were back. Open. Genuine.
Sasuke had a hard time matching these innocent eyes to the person fucking him in the dirt because of his own jealousy. He’d known Naruto had many sides. He’d seen them before. Naruto had surprised him over and over again, with his passion and possessiveness.
“Come to me, next time,” Naruto said.
This was new.
🌕
Naruto really wished he knew how to cook anything other than ramen. He made it as special as he could — he’d placed the instant ramen in a pan, cracked an egg, poured it into his nicest bowls — but it was ramen nonetheless. Sasuke was sitting on his couch, reading a book. He’d been here for a little while, but he’d been quiet. They hadn’t seen each other in weeks and Naruto hadn’t thought about anything but him. He wanted to tell Sasuke just that.
Maybe he’d never thought about anything but Sasuke. It was quite obvious, now that it all came together. These days, though, he’d thought about how Sasuke sounded when being fucked. He thought about how soft his eyes had turned, looking up at him. He thought about how easily Sasuke had given in. Naruto hoped that Sasuke had given in because it was him, not because he wanted a quick lay.
Been a while, he’d said. Had that been true? Was that still true now that he’d been away for these long weeks? Maybe it didn’t matter. Sasuke was sitting on his couch now. He was reading one of his stupid books here. Naruto could tell him how he felt. He had to.
Naruto put the bowls onto the table in front of them, watched as Sasuke closed his book, looked at him surprised. “I’m getting a bowl today?”
“Shut up!”
“Fancy.” Sasuke picked up his bowl of ramen, acting like everything was normal again. Naruto was not feeling very normal.
“I— Sasuke…” Sasuke glanced at him, nodding for him to continue. “I’m sorry for last time.”
Sasuke put his bowl back down, frowned. “You’re sorry?”
“Yeah. I— I could have asked you on a proper date!” His heart was beating so loudly. What the hell was he even saying? “I could have said that I like you and asked , but instead I— I don’t know— I—”
“Fucked me in the dirt.”
Naruto swallowed. “Yeah, I kind of forced—”
“You think you can force me?”
“I mean, no.”
“And you did ask, for fuck’s sake.”
Naruto looked at his hands. Sasuke was right. He had asked, before doing that. He knew Sasuke could have thrown him off any time. He hadn’t. He’d heard how Sasuke moaned underneath him like he’d loved it. He’d seen how Sasuke had turned so fucking sweet when looking into his eyes. He knew that Sasuke had moved his body so that Naruto could fuck him harder and deeper.
He knew those things. He hadn’t stopped thinking about them.
“You asked a lot.” Sasuke mumbled. “Asked if I was okay with you touching me. Asked me, I guess, not to go home with other people—” Sasuke looked at him like he was challenging him, once again. “And I was. Okay with it, I mean. And I didn’t leave with anyone again. Anything else?”
Naruto felt his body move towards Sasuke. He was in love with him. He’d never been so sure of anything in his entire life. “Yeah. I mean, yeah. Are we dating?”
“Wrong question.”
“Are you gay?”
Sasuke snorted as if that was a stupid question. He put his legs onto the couch and pressed his toes underneath Naruto’s legs. Comfortable. Teasing. “I am. Are you?”
“Maybe. Come on— are we dating?”
“Try again.”
“Can I fuck you again?”
Sasuke laughed. Laughed. He was doing something right, at least, if it made Sasuke happy. He wanted Sasuke to laugh all the time. He wanted them to roll around in bed and laugh and fuck and laugh some more. He wanted them to be lazy and cuddle. “You can… if you get this right.”
“Come on! Why are you teasing me?”
“I’m teasing you?” Sasuke shot back. “You’re teasing me.”
He was going to make Naruto break his brain. That wasn’t new, though. “Did you leave with that man to make me jealous?”
“Yeah, I did.”
“You seemed— I don’t know, used to it.”
“I’m not a virgin, Naruto.” Sasuke looked at him, moving his toes against his legs and making his heart skip a beat or two. “Does that make you upset?”
“Yeah.” Naruto honestly said. “I want you to be mine.”
He wanted Sasuke here. He wanted to eat their ramen together. He wanted to fall asleep together. He wanted to lift Sasuke onto his cock right here on the couch. He wanted to smell like him. He wanted to leave stains. Fuck. He never wanted him to leave again. He’d waited for so long.
“Close. What did you want to ask?”
Ah. He was an idiot. God, he was an idiot. It all came together. All the questions. Every single moment they’d been together. He wanted Sasuke to be his. And he was pretty sure that Sasuke wanted that too. That tease.
Naruto took Sasuke’s feet in his hands and pulled until Sasuke was laying with his back on the couch, his legs on either side of Naruto. Sasuke was smiling.
“Asshole. Be mine?”
“Ding ding. You got it.”
Naruto grinned. “That’s not an answer.”
“I’ve always been yours,” Sasuke laced his legs around Naruto’s neck, pulling him down, “but yes.”
On his knees, he pressed his lips to Sasuke’s mouth. To the smile on Sasuke’s lips. He kissed that smile softly, not wanting it to go, until Sasuke pulled him in, kissed him deeper. He loved him. He knew that for sure.

🌑
Naruto was doing paperwork. Had he been here all night? Sasuke had just gotten up — early, at dawn — and Naruto was still sitting on the couch looking at his boring paperwork. Slowly, he walked out of their room. Naruto was too tired to even notice him coming in. Sasuke was wearing one of Naruto’s ugly orange sweaters and he felt torn between making Naruto a cup of coffee or giving him something better.
Naruto glanced up. “‘S it morning?”
Sasuke slowly walked up to his lover. “Mhm.”
He didn’t want to make breakfast or coffee, he wanted his attention. It had been days . Busy days. Understandable, but still, hadn’t Naruto said to always come to him?
Slowly, he climbed onto Naruto’s lap. Naruto looked up at him with wide eyes. The bags underneath them did nothing to dim the brightness of them. He laid his stupid documents next to him, making more space for Sasuke to sit. “They are making you work too hard,” Sasuke complained.
His lover — getting him, always matching his energy — immediately said: “Bet you can make me work harder.”
“No.” Sasuke pressed Naruto’s back against the couch. “Just lay back.”
“Sas—”
“Don’t do anything.”
Slowly, Sasuke slipped out of his underwear. He wrapped his hand around Naruto’s cock, pulling it between his own legs. His own hard on growing against their limbs. It took seconds before Naruto was hard enough. He felt impatient. Lazy and impatient as he let himself sink onto Naruto’s cock. He moved slowly, letting himself get used to the feeling.
Naruto grabbed his hips tightly, slowly pressing his hips upward until he couldn’t go any deeper, his fingers sinking into Sasuke’s skin. “Oh fuck— Sasuke, you know that I love you right? God, you feel so good. I— oh god.”
He grabbed a fist of Naruto’s hair and slowly let himself bounce in Naruto’s lap. Naruto opened his mouth, letting Sasuke slowly kiss him open mouthed and, against his lips, moaning out.
“Oh— please— ah, you feel so— god, Sasuke.” Naruto grabbed him by the neck and pressed their noses, their foreheads together. “Ah sorry I’m so loud, I just, ah—”
Sasuke rolled his hips, wanting nothing more than for Naruto to be loud. Louder. To say his name over and over again. For him to wake the neighbours. To laugh. To talk. To ask him for everything. Pretty please. To moan. “No, I like it.”
🌕
He was tired. He was tired and feeling like he was on cloud nine. Sasuke was sitting next to him on their big carpet. Casually, like he hadn’t just made his brain melt. These days they sat on the carpet a lot. They’d bought it together, matching it to old furniture Naruto didn’t even want to keep. It made him love all of his furniture like he loved that stupid soft carpet.
Sasuke had brought him coffee, like a fucking saint, and complained about how much sugar Naruto put into it. Naruto never wanted this to end. Wished for it on the daily.
“You know,” Sasuke mumbled. “I thought me being in love with you would be one sided forever.”
“Hm?” Naruto sipped his coffee slowly, then let his hand fall onto Sasuke’s tight. “Why? I thought I was pretty obvious about being obsessed with you.”
Sasuke moved a little closer to him, playing with the fingers Naruto had put on his tight. “Being obsessed is different than being gay. You were always straight. I felt stupid.”
“I don’t know if I was.” Naruto grabbed onto Sasuke’s hand, interlacing their fingers. “I’ve had a few moments that, I don’t know, made me doubt that. There was always doubt. Everything about love and sex was full of doubt for me.” He smiled softly to himself. “Until you came back, teasing me.”
“Did I confuse you?”
Naruto laughed, softly. “Yeah. Yeah you did but you also made me really sure at the same time.”
“About your sexuality?”
Naruto shrugged, looking at their interlocked hands. He’d never been so sure about anything in his entire life. “No. I’m not sure about that. Not even now. ” He slowly brought his and Sasuke’s interlocked hands to his lips. Instead of kissing them, he laid his nose on Sasuke’s knuckles. “You made me sure about you. About you and me.”
