Jisung wants to blame Jeongin for this, but at the same time, he knows it was not his fault. It’s not Jeongin’s fault his birthday is close to Valentine's. It’s not Jeongin’s fault that his boyfriend is a hopeless romantic and loves over the top gestures. It’s also not Jeongin’s fault that all of their friends in their friendship group are in a relationship except for Jisung.

Therefore, this must mean that Hyunjin is also to blame for Jisung’s current predicament… and maybe himself, just a little.

So, Jisung is in a slight internal crisis as Jeongin’s birthday is on the 8th of February and Hyunjin wants to throw the biggest weekend holiday getaway to celebrate his birthday. And that would be perfectly fine on its own, but this is Hyunjin we’re talking about— so it couldn’t just be a normal birthday weekend.

And what other holiday is coming up that Jisung has purposely tried not thinking about?

Valentine’s Day.

Yes, the bane of Jisung’s existence and the most beautiful holiday for hopeless romantic Hyunjin. Jisung decides it’s time to tell them exactly what he thinks.

“A couple’s holiday? Really?” Jisung holds out on the last syllable to try to get his point across, crossing his arms as they sit in the corner booth of the small diner.

“Hey, it's not our fault you still haven't found Mr. Right,” Jeongin replies.

“This is your chance, you just gotta find someone and offer them the Valentine's Day trip of a lifetime. An all-expenses paid trip to Jeju, what could go wrong?” Hyunjin adds on, reciting the words like he’s giving prose— like Jisung will actually find the love of his life with this offer.

“Yeah, so I can find some guy that wants to take a random trip with a group of seven other strangers and convince him to fall in love with me?”

“I think you're underestimating what people will go through for a free trip to Jeju, little Jisungie.”

“I’m older than you Innie-yah!” Jisung defends himself.

“Tell that to your growth spurt,” Jeongin replies at the same time Hyunjin says, “Talk to your height about that.”

Jisung rolls his eyes at the way both Hyunjin and Jeongin's eyes widen at their unintentional syncing of insults— only to watch Hyunjin grab Jeongin by the collar and smash their lips together in what Jisung thinks is a bit too violent for the cheap university diner they’re currently sitting at.

Jisung brings his hands up to his face as he sinks further down into the booth to hide himself from the obnoxious display of affection he’s got a front-row seat for.

“Can you please not tongue each other for at least five minutes in my presence?” he mumbles into his hands and lets out an exaggerated sigh.

The pair finally break up as Jisung throws a chip at them smacking Hyunjin on the cheek who snaps his head towards Jisung to glare at him for having the audacity to do that.

“Hey hey, what’s with the chip on Hyunjin violence this time?” Felix’s voice breaks through their mild staring competition, walking up to the table and sliding into the booth next to Jisung.

“Jisung needs a date for the trip next month.”

“Oh yes, so exciting! I’ve already got all the cute matching outfits for Channie-hyung and I to wear,” Felix claps his hands together, “I’m sure you’ll find someone, Sung-ah.”

“Jisung-hyung, don’t you worry, we’re sure there’s someone who wants your little body,” Jeongin adds on between the fries he’s started eating.

“Jeonginnie please, I’m not that small.”

“It works out for you though, makes you easier to manhandle. Isn’t that what you're into?” Felix cuts in, nudging his shoulder with an exaggerated raise of his eyebrows.

Jisung sputters at the words. Fuck drunk admitting all his kinks to Felix all those months ago, he’s never going to live this down.

“Please shut up.”

“I’m sure you’ll find a date,” Felix goes for the encouraging note, “I mean you could definitely find a boyfriend before the trip, let alone just a date for it!”

Agreements and some fake exaggerated ‘of courses’ come out from the couple across from them. He knows that despite the teasing between them, they only want what’s best for him. Their words of support lift his spirits just a little bit more.

Jisung knows he’s not bad-looking. There are many people who are into his cherub-like cheeks and doe eyes, along with a pretty good body. However, he guesses it is his own fault for hiding his assets under baggy clothing and oversized hoodies.

Who can fault a guy for being comfy?

Someone must be into his laid-back style— just he hasn’t found them yet, and that’s not Jisung’s fault.

How bad can it be to find someone for Valentine's Day? He’s got a month. New year, new me?

Jisung can work up the confidence to ask someone out for a Valentine’s weekend trip to Jeju. Maybe even get a boyfriend at the end of all of this.

Easy.

‧₊˚🍊༉‧₊˚.

Definitely not easy.

It’s a week before they fly off to Jeju, and Jisung is still very much single, and very much alone. All attempts were either chickened out or politely declined.

Is this the life I have to live? Destined to be alone?

How can he face the rest of them? He had a month and no one wanted him.

Am I going to have to seventh-wheel my friends all holiday?

Not that it’s usually a problem, but on a romance-themed holiday for Valentine's, he can’t help the anxious feeling building up in his chest.

Dragging his feet towards the elevator,  he makes his way up to Changbin’s dorm in hopes that the elder will pity him and let him mope over how alone he’s going to be. It’s a week till they fly off next Thursday and he hasn’t found anyone— there’s no way he’s going to find someone willing and available a week before the trip.

He bangs his fist on Changbin’s door— the man taking way too long to even open the door, much to Jisung’s dismay. He leans his forehead on the door, balancing his weight against it, not in the mood to deal with anything right now, letting out a deep breath.

Changbin’s probably out with Seungmin, his boyfriend, of course. In love. Of course.

Jisung is about to give up waiting on Changbin’s door when it suddenly opens, causing his body to go crashing forward straight into the firm muscle of someone's chest.

He feels quick hands grabbing his waist before he can fall onto the floor, Jisung’s hands automatically latching onto broad shoulders.

Oh, this is humiliating. Please let this person not know who I am.

“Nice to see you again, Jisung.” A smooth voice answers Jisung’s inner question.

Fuck— he forgot Changbin has a fucking roommate— not to mention the fact that his roommate is hot as fuck senior Lee Minho, who he has just collapsed into.

Oh god, oh god, please let the Earth swallow me whole.

Jisung knows his cheeks are going up in flames, thoughts of embarrassing himself in front of this man and at the tight grip the other has on his waist right now— totally not making him spiral.

Jisung unconsciously tightens his grip on Minho’s shoulders, causing Minho to follow as he feels the slight squeeze of the hands on his waist. He gulps before looking back up at Minho.

Wrong move.

Alarm bells ring in Jisung’s head. He’s too fucking close to the beauty of Minho’s face that he can clearly see the few moles scattered around Minho’s pretty skin.

“Hi Hyung,” he croaks out.

Jisung pats himself on the back for the lack of stuttering as he talks to the very senior he’s had a crush on for a year. Not that they’ve interacted much, despite having almost the same friendship group— one that he’s been ignoring because the odds of them ever happening seem like zero to none.

Finally fighting through the static in his brain from simply being in Minho’s presence, Jisung pushes himself up, letting Minho’s hands drop from their perch on his waist.

“I didn’t think I’d have a pretty boy falling for me this early in the morning.” Minho casually replies.

“P-pretty?” Jisung can’t help the stutter that stutter comes out at this instance, his brain going haywire at the word.

Minho doesn't answer him, just looks him directly in the eye, smirk playing on his lips. He looks way too hot for someone with messy hair, wearing just a white shirt and sweatpants. He casually shrugs his shoulders as if he hadn't made Jisung's brain run wild with a single word.

“Pretty sure Changbin stayed over at Seungmin’s last night, so he’s not here. Guessing that’s who you’re looking for,” Minho continues as he turns and makes his way to the kitchen. “Want to stay for breakfast Jisung-ah?”

He clenches and unclenches his fists at his sides. This is a bad idea, he’s supposed to be wallowing in self-pity about his forever single and alone status. Not give himself false hope, as the man of his dreams makes him breakfast.

But Jisung also has a weakness for pretty boys— which Jisung apparently counts as to Minho now.

Leading them to where they are now, sitting across from each other on the small dining table placed next to the kitchen, Jisung scarfing down the eggs and bacon Minho had graciously provided him with this morning.

“Ahh, I need to visit my parents next week. They live close by, but I need to see Soonie before his check-up.”

“Soonie?” Jisung questions.

“My cat, he lives with my parents though, so I miss him a lot. Well, all of them.”

“More than one cat?”

“Yeah, three actually.” A soft smile forms on his face, making the sharp features of his face soften just a little more.

“You're a cat person oh my god, I should’ve seen this coming. What are their names?”

Minho’s eyes seem to sparkle at the question, pure giddiness in his smile as he pulls out his phone to show Jisung various pictures of the three cats.

“This is Soonie, the oldest, and then there is Doongie, his nose is orange compared to Soonie. Then there’s the baby of the group, Dori.” Jisung watches the smile on Minho’s face grow at each picture, he’s so—

“Cute.”

Shit. Didn’t mean to say that aloud.

“Yeah, they are, they’re my children for real.” Minho turns his grin to him.

Thank god.

This misunderstanding worked in his favour, though he won’t deny that all the cats are cute, it’s just that Jisung has an apparent weakness for an angular jaw, sharp-nosed that must have been carved by a worshipper of Hephaestus, pouty lips that just look soft to touch. Jisung’s mind is in deep.

“I’ll probably go home to spend time with them for Valentine's, my true loves. Only ones who get me, though it now sounds like I’m going to be alone and just spend Valentine’s Day with my parents, hah.” Minho looks sheepish by the end of his rambling, a pretty tinge of red coming up on the tips of his ears.

Alone. He’s alone on Valentine’s Day.

“Date me!” Jisung blurts out.

“Well, that’s very direct,” Minho looks slightly surprised as he replies, but there’s a small smirk gracing his features. “Has this got anything to do with this big Valentine’s weekend getaway Changbin hasn’t stopped talking about?”

Jisung opens his mouth to reply, but Minho continues before he has the chance to.

“Apparently it’s got a room each for all four couples,” Minho raises an eyebrow at him, “Don’t you have a special someone to go with, Jisungie?”

Jisung buries his head in his hands in shame. A small whine leaves his pursed lips that he prays Minho does not catch, but he can’t deny the warmth that pools down into his gut at Minho’s teasing words.

“No one.” He finally mumbles out.

“So you need a boyfriend? Well, I think I know-”

Sitting up suddenly Jisung cuts him off, “Fake date me. Please, hyung, we can prove to Hyunjin that I’m not so unwantable and I can stick it to them that I can really get a date!”

The thought of someone other than Minho being his date for this trip makes his heart sink suddenly.

“So your solution is to fake date… to prove that you can get a date?” Jisung can hear the skepticism in Minho’s tone, and opts to defend himself by simply pouting in his direction.

“Please?”

Minho valiantly holds his gaze for a few seconds before a smile escapes his lips.

Fuck yes.

Jisung can hear the early celebration poppers going off in his head. If there’s anything he’s learnt by spending time with Chan and Changbin is that it works almost every time.

‧₊˚🍊༉‧₊˚.

So this is where Jisung is. Standing outside the airport, luggage in hand as his friends all stare at him.

Maybe he celebrated a bit too early earlier in the week.

“You know you didn’t have to lie if you didn’t find anyone Jisung-ah, we love you anyway.” Chan’s voice breaks through the silence of everyone's stares.

Jisung knows Chan means well, but the words send a spike through his heart.

“He’s on the way guys, he said he had to do something last minute so that’s why he’s late.” Jisung’s voice trails off, and he can hear the way his voice feels fake. The others must hear it too.

He and Minho decided to not tell anyone who his boyfriend was until the day of the flight as some sort of surprise, but now Minho is late and is not answering his messages— Jisung feels anxiety starting to crawl up his skin.

He knows that’s what they’re all thinking. That this boyfriend is all a figment of Jisung’s imagination, for him to keep some dignity a week before the flight— that he wasn’t actually able to find someone to take, let alone a whole boyfriend.

God, I’m such an idiot. Why would someone as hot and cool as Lee Minho want to pretend to be his date, even with the free holiday?

But before Jisung’s mind can spiral further, he hears Changbin’s voice cut through his thoughts, “Minho-hyung? What the fuck are you-”

Minho cuts him off with a simple, “Sorry baby,” directed at Jisung— who finds himself suddenly spun around to face a red-faced Minho. He swiftly pulls him in with a light hand on his waist, placing a chaste kiss on the swell of his cheek before pulling away and shoving a small bouquet full of wildflowers in his hands. “Didn’t check the time when saying goodbye to my children. Plus, I had to pick these up.”

His cheeks flush at the action, the pet name making his heart skip a beat, but he attempts to regain some sort of composure, straightening back up to look at Minho’s face as he introduces him.

“Uhh, I’m sure you all know him, this is my boyfriend, Minho-hyung.”

Unsure of what he’s going to see, Jisung takes a deep breath before looking up to see the reaction on his friends’ faces. He sees the exaggerated widened eyes from Hyunjin, whilst Jeongin pats him on the back, and at least a little more subtle look of surprise on Seungmin’s face.

Unexpectedly, despite Changbin’s remark of surprise at first, he, Chan, and Felix either share a pleased grin or a knowing smirk— which brings up many questions and slightly terrifies Jisung, but he chooses not to continue pestering the anxiety that has receded for the time being. Instead choosing to focus on the comforting warmth radiating from the spot where Minho’s hand is placed on the small of his back.

Jisung looks down at the wildflowers and presses his face into them inhaling the light flowery scent, a smile on his face as he looks back up at Minho, only to see him already watching back.

“Let’s get to our flight, yeah.”

Jisung feels bad at having to stuff the flowers in his bag, but he can’t wipe the smile off his face each time he thinks of them tucked away in his backpack. He’s got the window seat next to Minho, looking out at the airport as the plane starts to make its way towards the runway.

He glances over at Minho, who has been surprisingly quiet after getting on the plane.

Instead of the calm confident expression Jisung is expecting, he sees the clench of Minho’s jaw, the light tension lines, his body looks stiff and it hits Jisung— he’s scared.

What do I do? What should I do? What makes him happy? What made him smile?

“Cats, right?” Jisung blurts out of the blue, interrupting the silence between them.

Minho turns towards him, a curious look on his face, but when Jisung looks down he can still see the way his knuckles have turned white from the grip on the armrests, gripping onto them like his life depends on it.

“Hmm?”

“Cats,” Jisung clears his throat quickly, “you mentioned you have three cats right? Soonie, Doonie, and uhhh- Dori?”

“Heh, yeah,” Minho lets out a light chuckle as he looks down at his lap quickly— Jisung catches the slight upturn of the corner of his lip before Minho looks back at him, “People don’t usually remember that.”

How dare someone forget the names of his cats?

Jisung frowns at the thought. He’s just about to interrogate Minho, to ask who he should go over and have a stern talk with, when he feels a light pressure between his eyebrows. Minho had let go of one of the armrests to smooth out the creases between Jisung’s brows.

“What are you frowning like that for?” Minho teases lightly, though Jisung can hear the slight strain in his tone still, trying to put up some facade of ease, but Jisung can still see the tension in his shoulders.

“Your cats are too cute for people not to remember their names.”

Minho’s face breaks out in a small genuine smile, “You’re so right, Jisungie.” But he looks back down at his lap, not continuing the small talk, Jisung looks out the window to see that the plane has finally made its way to the runway. The captain's voice comes in through the speakers for flight attendants to strap in and get ready for takeoff.

The plane starts to rumble, the sound of the engine rattles the plane, the seatbelts alert ringing in his ears. Minho has placed his hands on his lap and Jisung watches as Minho clenches and unclenches his fists, hands clearly itching to grip onto something, something to keep him grounded.

Jisung thinks about some of the things that calm him when he gets overwhelmed.

Silence— not an option.

Being alone— impossible at the moment.

Someone holding him— potentially?

Jisung tentatively reaches over the armrest to carefully slip his fingers through Minho’s clenched fist, unraveling Minho’s fingers to clasp their hands together.

Minho looks up, questioning for a second, and Jisung thinks he must have made some serious mistake. He’s just about to wrench his hand back and plan how he’s going to somehow jump out of this plane as soon as possible, when Minho squeezes his hand back and keeps their hands locked together in a tight grip.

The plane starts propelling itself forward, increasing in speed, eventually lifting off the group with a swooping feeling that enters Jisung’s gut as they rise. Their hands still intertwined, Minho’s grip squeezing harder— a little too tightly to be comfortable, but Jisung can take the pain as long as it eases any burden on Minho’s mind. He simply runs his thumb along the back of Minho’s hand in some kind of soothing gesture.

The tension in Minho’s shoulders is still there, but Jisung watches as they ease slightly as Jisung continues to caress the back of his hand. They sit together peacefully in relative silence, but Jisung notices that Minho is avoiding looking at him, his gaze always directed towards his lap or to the back of the chair in front of him.

Is there something on my face? Maybe he’s shy holding my hand?

Jisung himself warms at the thought. He looks around then out the window, and watches as they fly through bright white clouds, he doesn’t look further down knowing that if he sees how far away the ground actually is will make his heart go into a slight panic.

Oh.

Jisung instantly closes the window, cutting off the light but shielding them from the view outside.

Minho finally looks up at him, “Heights, not a big fan.” he whispers into the air between them.

“It’s okay, I’ve got you hyung.” Jisung squeezes his hand one more time.

The smile Minho gifts him makes all his efforts worth it.

‧₊˚🍊༉‧₊˚.

Much to Jisung’s dismay, Minho and he did have to let go of each other once getting off the plane and making their way through the airport.

They made light conversation on the short flight, Jisung enjoying the random places they seemed to go, switching between topics with an ease he’d never really felt before.

It didn’t help that Jisung missed his touch already— he felt the ghost of Minho’s grip in his, the slight pressure, the warmth. Minho seemed to also be some kind of mind reader as, despite their being hands apart, he was never too far behind. A guiding hand on his waist or the small of his back, a tap on the shoulder when it was his turn to pick up his luggage. Minho was a constant presence that Jisung felt he could lean back and fall and Minho would be there to save him at a moment's notice.

Snap out of it. Fake boyfriend. Minho is your fake boyfriend.

It’s only the first day and Jisung wasn’t sure how long he would last like this. Minho was already checking each box of the man of his dreams. He would surely turn into a puddle by the end of the day.

Minho had pulled him aside quickly whilst picking up their suitcases, offering an apology for the unexpected cheek kiss, which had Jisung blushing all over again.

“Oh, it’s okay hyung. It was nice… I mean, it’s more convincing right?” Jisung whispers back.

Minho just nods back with a grin, “It was nice, yeah,” and proceeds to place a quick kiss on his cheek before running away to help Jeongin struggling with all of Hyunjin’s suitcases.

Leaving Jisung standing there, hand on his cheek at the spot Minho’s soft lips had just left a hot spark.

Definitely not going to survive this weekend.

‧₊˚🍊༉‧₊˚.

Changbin and Seungmin were put in charge of sorting out the car situation, which led them here, standing in front of two small jeeps. The cars were a perfect size for their four-night getaway.

One game of rock, paper, scissors later, and the couples for each car were decided. Chan, Felix, Changbin, and Seungmin in one, which means Jisung and Minho are paired with Hyunjin and Jeongin.

Oh God.

Not that Jisung doesn’t like sharing a car with Hyunjin and Jeongin, in fact, he loves when they squeeze in together belting out their favourite songs together in the car, but Jisung only has to glance at the mountain of suitcases and bags placed on top of each other on Jeongin’s trolly to know something ain’t going to fit.

Jisung watches as Jeongin and Minho attempt to assemble the suitcases into the small storage space at the back of their vehicle, bags stacked precariously on each other. Everyone looking back and forth between the full boot and the few bags left of the trolly.

“Hyunjin, I swear to god, why the fuck did you bring a month's worth of baggage for this four-night trip?” Jisung questions.

“Hey, you can never pack too lightly when you’re packing for love. My Innie has something special in store for him.” Hyunjin gives him a wide smile, a knowing look passed Jisung’s way.

Jisung spies Jeongin grinning, a sly smile plastered on his face, wiggling his eyebrows.

“Oh god, I actually don’t want to know, please.” Jisung lets out before helping Minho finish loading the bags in the boot and backseat of the car.

Jisung finally lets out a sigh of relief, making his way to the passenger seat.

“What are you doing?” Hyunjin asks as Jisung puts his hand on the door.

“Going to sit in the car?”

“But that’s my seat.” Hyunjin gives him a playful grin.

“Hey, but it’s your bags taking up like, half the car.”

“Too bad. Birthday boy rules.”

Jisung sighs again, begrudgingly accepting the flimsy reasoning, and sulks his way towards Minho. “We’re in the back.”

“I’m sure we’ll survive.” Minho gives him an encouraging grin and a supportive pat on his ass that he doesn’t try to think too hard about.

So, Jeongin drives— as it is officially his birthday weekend, he gets dibs— which means the driver and passenger seats are occupied by the couple, and as at result, Jisung and Minho will be squished together in the back.

Be normal.

The suspension of the car is high, so Minho has to use the step before climbing in and pushing himself up against the bags stacked up on the right side of the backseats. Jisung can see the way there’s barely any space left for him to sit, not that his ass is that fat or anything, definitely not the size of Chan’s– Jisung knows the can’t be all-natural, he must find out his gym routine sometime— but it’s not necessarily small, Jisung will give himself that.

A hand reaches out to help him into the car and Jisung eagerly grasps at the opportunity to hold Minho’s hand one more time. He looks up at Minho and he sees his inquisitive gaze, obviously debating whether or not they’ll be able to fit comfortably. Jisung places his foot on the bottom step before Minho pulls him into the car, squishing them together in the small space.

They eventually find some somewhat comfortable position after playing some game of Tetris with their bodies and the luggage— having Minho leaning back against the back of the seat, thighs pressed tightly together to ensure that Jisung has a little bit of space to place his body at the edge of the backseat.

Everything seems to go fine in the beginning, Jisung is just distracted by the hard line of Minho’s thigh pressed against his. Observing the way the way the fabric of Minho’s jeans stretches tightly over the muscle as if it’s straining against the fabric. He can’t help but look down at his own thighs in comparison, significantly smaller in size, and Jisung just knows that he doesn’t have the firm definition he feels pressed up against his own soft thigh.

Jisung lets out an audible gulp.

It’s not until they get further away from the airport, heading towards the other side of the island where their beachfront villa is located, that the roads become uneven, with small potholes, and cracks in the road. Despite Jeongin’s decent driving, the movement of the car gets Jisung shuffling around, getting uncomfortable in his place right on the edge of the seat pressed up against the door. He tries not to wiggle around too much, knowing he must be bothering Minho too to some extent.

He hears a low exhale escape Minho’s lips after a while and Jisung stills. God don’t piss him off, please.

But instead of any complaints coming from Minho, all he says is a quiet, “C’mere.”

All of a sudden, there’s a tight grip around Jisung’s waist before he finds himself lifted and placed on Minho’s lap, letting out a small yelp that he will deny he ever let out if anyone brings it up.

Jisung is too stunned to even respond properly, eyes wide as he turns back to look at Minho, who simply shrugs and nods back towards the driver's seat, signaling him to face the front— which Jisung simply follows as verbal or not, Jisung has always been good at following orders.

Small holes and bumps in the road make him bounce slightly in Minho’s lap. Jisung can’t hear anything but the ringing in his ears. Hyunjin and Jeognin’s conversion lulled into a quiet hum almost inaudible to him at this point. All he can focus on is that the firm muscle of Minho’s thigh he’s now completely placed on top of, perched on Minho’s lap like a prized possession.

Sharp exhales leave his mouth at each bump in the road, each time the car jostles his body against Minho’s firm thighs. Jisung reaches forward to hold onto the back of the driver’s chair, to hold on to some form of sanity. He doesn’t even want to start to think about what’s going on in Minho’s head right now.

His face burns— he can’t help each sound that escapes his lips. Mortified, that’s all he can think.

Hyunjin dares to turn around in his seat to look back at the pair with a quirk of his eyebrow, “Having fun back there?”

Jisung just about stops himself before he lurches forward to choke Hyunjin for the situation he has put him in.

Curse Hyunjin and his stupid bags, curse this stupid fake dating, curse getting horny at the worst possible moment right now.

Why couldn’t he just ask Minho to be his actual boyfriend right now, so he can attempt to sink to his knees in the cramped space of the car and suck Minho’s dick just to spite Hyunjin?

Just to spite Hyunjin— sure.

The thoughts are not helping Jisung’s spiraling mind.

Spiders, my dead grandmother, the Loch Ness monster.

Another bump, harsher than any of the previous ones, rattles the car. Jisung thinks that maybe he should be thinking about whether or not the tires are okay, or whether the car is damaged, but all he can think about is how the movement pushed him further back against Minho. He can feel Minho's chest against his back, and feels his arms circle around him. Holding him there, he feels the hot breath hitting the shell of his ear as Minho whispers, “Can’t have you falling over again can we?”

Jisung nods, not able to find his voice other than a quiet keening sound that escapes him for a second. He’s suddenly sitting right over Minho’s crotch, and he doesn’t know how much longer he can sit here and pretend that he’s totally not getting horny over the thoughts of being in Minho’s lap, over his dick, nor the way he can feel Minho’s hot breath against his ear.

He leans forward to smack Hyunjin’s chair and get his attention, “How much longer before we get to the villa?”

“Desperate to get out? Please don’t tell me you’re getting horny in the car Jisung?” Hyunjin side-eyes him with a scheming glint in his eye.

“What?!” Jisung screeches. That’s it, enough with the holding back, Hyunjin’s days are ending now.

Jisung attempts to dive forward for real towards Hyunjin and smack him on the head, only for Minho’s grip around his body to tighten, preventing him from going much further forward, but it doesn’t stop the attempted swing.

Hyunjin quickly yells back, “WHAT? Don’t hit me! Don’t think we can’t hear you and your weird noises you and your boyfriend here are making, you aren’t subtle!” He turns in his chair to face the pair in the back with an accusing finger pointed at them. “Why do you think we keep turning the music up?”

Jisung attempts to jerk forward again as Hyunjin attempts to defend himself, swinging his arm through the gap of the chairs, Jisung pushing back at him.

“Hey! I’m driving here! Can we try not to crash?” Jeongin yells back, “Also, don’t hit my boyfriend! It’s only like 10 minutes more!”

Finally sobering at the situation, Jisung decides to follow Jeongin’s words, slowly becoming increasingly aware of the tight grip Minho has still got around his waist, the feel of his arms against his waist and torso. He can feel the heat seeping through his shirt. Minho burns hot, but Jisung’s face burns hotter. He takes in a deep breath, realising how quiet Minho has been this whole conversation, simply deciding to just hold Jisung back but making no attempts at speaking up at the situation.

Fuck, this is so bad. The implication of them doing something together makes Minho not want to even talk to any of them. He hates me now. I’ve completely embarrassed him.

Jisung decides that maybe attacking Hyunjin isn’t an option now— it’s time to roll down the window, jump out, and never show his face ever again.

“Why is it always violence on Hyunjin?” Jisung hears Hyunjin sulk to himself in his front seat, and he feels a little bit bad for his attempted attack until he watches as Jeongin’s hand reaches over the console to grip onto Hyunjin’s thigh, inching its way up in a way that he must assume is subtle but Jisung internally gags and looks out the window. Hypocrites— not that Minho and him were even doing anything of the sort.

He takes another deep breath and decides this is not the moment to get emotional, but all he can focus on is the way Minho's arm is still wrapped around his torso, moving with him at each inhale and exhale.

Just 10 more minutes.

Jisung has about 20 minutes of peace in the villa, where he entered and promptly planted himself face-first into the sofa in the living room.

He feels a bit bad for the way he bolted out of the car, refusing to look Minho in the eye nor helping out with any of the bags, but Jisung is still going through the fumes of embarrassment and mortification. He slowly drags his body to the corner of the sofa and curls himself into the crevice.

It’s not until Chan ruffles his hair from where he’s buried himself announcing with way too much enthusiasm, “Let’s go, guys! There’s a little trail we can follow for a short hike before it gets dark!”

Peaking back up at Chan with what he tries is not too harsh of a scowl, “Didn’t we just get here?”

“Yep, and we’ve been stuck in planes and cars for the last few hours, time for some fresh air.”

Jisung groans at the same time he hears Hyunjin complain, “I did not book this romantic holiday to be doing exercise– well that kind of exercise.”

“Why can’t we do both?” Felix chimes in, walking over to latch onto Chan’s arm, “Plus imagine the places outside–”

Felix is cut off by Chan’s hand over his mouth and when Jisung looks up at him, he can see the way his face has turned a bright crimson.

“Not today, God. We’re going, change your shoes and keep your kinks to yourself for one day please, Yongbok.” Seungmin announces, herding them out of the house.

Felix huffs, but follows Seungmin’s instruction, dragging Chan behind him. “Hmm, Changbin, you really into someone giving you orders in bed?” Felix whispers to as he walks past, which Changbin promptly tries to ignore but–

“Yongbok-ah!” Seungmin glares at him, Felix yelps, running out the door.

‧₊˚🍊༉‧₊˚.

Jisung and Minho walk side by side as they make their way up the trail. He can’t deny that the area is beautiful— the canopy of the trees above protecting them from the sun high in the sky, just enough to cast their bodies in a comfortable warmth.

It wouldn’t be too bad if Jisung actually liked hiking or really any form of exercise. The only times he’s ever subjected himself was when Chan and Changbin convinced him to join one of their gym sessions as a way to release the tension after spending too many hours in cramped small recording studios. Following that he’ll join in every now and then but hiking— not quite up Jisung’s alley.

Minho tries starting up conversation every now and then, but Jisung’s still partly mortified from the car ride here and can’t help but answer with short curt replies, not helping start any proper conversation. Though, Minho seems to sense his mood, simply giving him a smile and lets them stay in a surprisingly comfortable silence.

The sounds of Hyunjin and Jeongin messing around behind them, Felix and Chan giggling in English upfront and, Seungmin and Changbin lovingly debating or bickering— Jisung doesn’t know which nor does he intend to ask— nearby mixing in with the sounds of leaves rustling and birds chirping above.

Jisung can’t get over how casual Minho is, the casual affection of touches and holding of hands— which Jisung does recall initiating on the plane, but he blames his panicking brain at how worried he was.

But now?

He’s probably not playing the good boyfriend part well enough, it’s just Minho is too convincing that Jisung can’t help the way butterflies have erupted in his belly, a ticklish feeling sending shivers down his spine. He doesn’t know how to act anymore.

A hand on his waist to guide him where to step, a hand reaching out to help him climb up a steep rock— Minho is a gentleman.

He can't be the only one who notices, either. Felix, who had been walking up front with Chan, turns around to wiggle his eyebrows and make finger guns in Jisung's direction when Minho isn't looking. This is done in what Jisung can only assume is some kind of supportive gesture on Jisung’s part, but only makes him internally facepalm.

He knows Felix has probably got many questions, and he thanks his lucky stars he hasn’t been left alone with Felix yet, because he’s sure of the interrogation he’ll be getting as soon as Minho leaves his side.

Karma seems to be watching as Felix proceeds to trip over a rock. Flinging his arms out before his feet lose balance, about to hit the floor until Minho darts forward from Jisung’s side and grabs Felix's forearms, lifting him back up before gravity can take him down.

Felix— momentarily stunned —pauses for a second before looking up and Minho grinning, “Woah, your reflexes damn - saved my ass for real,” he turns to look back at Chan, where he’s letting out a sigh of relief, “Channie, say thank you!”

Jisung should either be making sure Felix is alright or laughing at the shade of red Chan has turned before he power walks away from the group, but all Jisung can think of is Minho’s hands wrapped around Felix’s arms, hands holding what isn’t his.

It’s  so stupid because this is Felix, firstly, his best friend, and second of all, insanely head over heels for his boyfriend Chan and thirdly, the most physically affectionate person he ever met. Jisung knows because his own touch starved ass has been comforted by Felix’s arms too many arms to count. So, Minho holding onto Felix after saving him from falling over shouldn’t cause the spark of jealousy that alights in his chest.

He takes his hands off you for one second and you’re losing it.

Jisung opts to focus on each step he takes, feet kicking the dirt and stones around him, eyes watching the ground rather than his surroundings. He powers forward, walking faster than he should for someone who struggles with exercise of this kind in the first place. He ignores the way Minho starts to match his pace without question.

It shouldn’t surprise him when his breaths start getting harder, and the heat starts to melt his  brain into goo. His body exhausted, having used most of his energy over his little unwarranted jealousy fit. He just wants to go back, but he looks around at the others continuing to easily push forward and he can’t ask them to stop. Refusing to be the one to break, to be the one to ruin the day’s activity in the short amount of time they’re here.

He’s already starting to spiral, thoughts of disappointing the group, looking at their downcast eyes and a begrudging acceptance, because he knows his friends— they’re too kind to say no if he brings up what he’s actually feeling, but he can’t–

“Hey I’m tired as fuck, there’s no way I’m making it up further. Jisungie, come with me. I don’t wanna be alone.”

Everyone freezes in their tracks at Minho’s abrupt announcement.

Minho reaches out a hand for Jisung to grab hold of, which he accepts automatically, like a magnet drawn to his electric field.

“C’mon baby, I’m soooo done here.” Minho directs towards Jisung, eyes like steel, unquestioning.

Minho lets out an overexaggerated groan for everyone to hear, before pulling Jisung closer by his hand so that they’re pressed together, draping a hand over his  shoulders. Jisung attempts to ignore the petname, focusing on not letting his legs give out on him over the feeling of Minho’s body pressed up against his all of a sudden.

Too stunned to even properly say goodbye, Minho takes him back down the trail, and back to where they started their hike. Walking close together for a few minutes, before Jisung takes in the state Minho is in.

Minho’s barely even broken a sweat, his breaths are even in contrast to the way Jisung’s been heaving in air. He looks far from tired, and if those thighs Jisung was sitting on only hours before have anything to say, is that they can take a lot more than 45 minutes of a ‘light’ hike.

“We can wait for them at the cafe by the start of the trail,” Minho speaks up.

“Why’d you say you were tired?”

“Cause I was tired.”

Jisung stops in his tracks causing Minho to follow, and folds his arms, pursing his lips at Minho.

“Okay, Jisung-ah - it’s because it looked like you couldn’t take very much longer. You had this distant look in your eyes, barely watching where you were going for the last 5 minutes or so yeah… “

“Oh,” He didn’t realise Minho had been watching him that closely.

“Plus, you looked like you wanted to pass out,” Minho continues, a small smirk on his face, “It saved me the trouble of carrying you back down after you collapsed on the way up.”

“As if you could carry me,” Jisung lies through his teeth, refusing to let the mental image infect his brain.

“I think I could easily throw you around, Sungie.”

Fuck. Minho is not making it easy on Jisung’s weak willed brain.

Jisung attempts to school his brain into normalcy— Don’t think of Minho lifting him, don’t think of Minho throwing him into bed, don’t think of Minho manhandling him into whatever position he wants.

“Wha- uh– me too… obviously. I could lift you too, look at these.”

Jisung finds himself suddenly pulling away from Minho’s side, pushing up the sleeve of his shirt to display the bicep he’s  worked on at the gym.

“Hmm, pretty muscle, yes. But you've got to prove it to me sometime then, huh?”

Jisung does attempt to save face by nodding his head dumbly whilst Minho just giggles back at him.

“Well Mr. Hates Hikes But Likes To Work On His Biceps, what are you actually into?”

Jisung bites his tongue before the automatic— you —escapes his lips.

“Iced americanos and my bedroom.”

“Well, I’m sure I can help you with at least one of those things.” Minho chuckles and bumps his shoulder with a smile, leading them to a small quaint cafe near the trail.

As they enter the cafe, Minho opens the door for Jisung with a small joking bow, he can’t help but laugh at Minho’s antics with an eye roll, “Wow hyung, what a gentleman.”

“Only the best for my boyfriend.”

Jisung can’t help the way his heart stutters in his chest.

They find a seat in the corner, Minho ordering some coffee for the pair, insisting that it’s only what the best boyfriends do, and that Jisung can get the next one if he really wants.

The next one? He's already thinking about the next date? How can he say that so causally?

Jisung buries his head in his hands for a few seconds. It’s only the first day and he can’t help but feel overwhelmed. Minho is too good at this.

Maybe Minho’s done this before– who is he even kidding? Of course Minho has done this before. He must have people falling at his feet.

He lets out an exasperated huff of air at the same time he feels someone lightly flicking his forehead.

“Oi, I already got you out of hiking, stop sulking,” Minho teases, putting down the iced americano and sitting opposite him. “So, I hear from Chan and Changbin that you’re some kind of lyrical prodigy.”

“Huh- what, you heard about that?”

“Yep, you’re really good apparently, but they won’t let me listen when I ask. Top secret project or something.”

“You asked about my music?”

“Of course, Changbin doesn’t shut up about you actually. You know, I feel like I know so much about y- uhhh, I mean- about your music yeah,” Minho surprises Jisung over the stuttering of his words before he catches himself and continues, with a sheepish yet enthusiastic grin, “but I wanna hear more from you first hand.”

He knew Chan and Changbin were close friends with Minho, especially considering the fact that Changbin and Minho were roommates, but he didn’t expect Minho to know a thing about him, other than he was a friend of a friend and desperate enough to ask someone to fake date them.

“Oh, okay! Well, I’m in music production, yeah- the same course as those two, and I got lucky enough to get paired with Channie-hyung when he was a TA for one of my classes!”

Minho watches him with eager interest, and Jisung almost freezes one too many times, not used to such an intense gaze directed at him for so long. He usually shuts up when he realises no one is really listening— only his friends letting him ramble on non-stop. But Minho nods along, and cuts in with a question or two and Jisung feels giddy at the feeling of someone letting him rant on about something he’s so passionate about.

Jisung doesn’t even register that over an hour has passed until Jeongin suddenly appears and slams a hand down on the table, breathing heavily. Everyone  in the cafe’s eyes are on him as he announces, “I win! I found them first. But you lost Felix, they weren’t making out.”

“Awwww, how unfortunate.”

Jisung just about stops himself from throwing his empty glass at the both of them.

‧₊˚🍊༉‧₊˚.

There’s only one bed.

Jisung thinks that he probably should have realised this would be the case before even getting on the flight. The villa was a four-bedroom villa, planned to house four couples. So of course it’s a couple’s room. Keyword: COUPLES. Of course the room only has one queen-sized bed.

To everyone else, Minho and Jisung are together with their hand holding, lap sitting, and surprise cheek kisses— but behind closed doors, Minho and Jisung aren’t actually together. And he should have predicted something like this happening.

Minho seems to catch onto the dilemma holding Jisung hostage in his thoughts, as he simply slides past Jisung towards the bed.

“Don’t be silly, I’ll just sleep on the floor or something.” Minho says.

He knows Minho is giving him an easy way out, but the thought of Jisung sleeping in the comfortable bed whilst Minho has to stay on the floor instantly rubs him the wrong way.

Jisung rushes forward to grab Minho’s wrist which had just been in the process of picking up pillows to sleep on. “No! Please you don’t have too…” he trails off.

Minho looks down at him with a slight tilt of the head, “You want me in your bed, Han Jisung?”

A sudden intake of breath, his fingers tighten over Minho’s wrist and he sees a glint in Minho’s eye that he doesn’t quite know how to read. He can’t help the thoughts racing in his mind— Minho seems to like to play around with him, and Jisung doesn’t know if Minho’s some sort of sadist, or if he just likes to see Jisung squirm.

What game is he playing? Why am I even questioning him? He’s the one doing me a favor.

Stop being so ungrateful.

Jisung drops Minho’s wrist quickly, eyes darting away from his gaze, “Uhh, I’ll shower first!” Jisung gets out before rushing towards the bathroom.

Taking a cold shower, for totally no reason at all, not because of anything that went on regarding the man in the room right outside the door. Jisung quickly washes off the grime of the day avoiding any derailing thoughts as he dresses in a loose white shirt and loose shorts to sleep in, drying his hair off before exiting the bathroom.

He enters the room with slightly more dignity than when he ran out to find Minho lounging on the armchair, phone in hand as he watches what Jisung assumes are cat videos.

“Look,” Minho states, getting up and walking towards Jisung to shove his phone in his face.

“Dori did a trick.”

God, he’s actually kinda a dork? The man making him weak at the knees is a dork too.

“Woah, cool.” Jisung nods his head in agreement, sending a smile Minho’s way.

Seemingly satisfied, Minho stands up from the chair and goes over to his bags.

“Can I turn off the lights?” Jisung asks before Minho heads into the bathroom, humming out a yes in response before picking up his clothes and shutting the bathroom door.

Jisung turns off the overhead lights, casting the room in relative darkness, except for the light escaping the cracks of the bathroom door. He climbs up on top of the covers, making his way to the far end of the bed, deciding that it’s probably best he attempts to sleep right away whilst Minho is in the shower. Preventing him from having any debilitating thoughts as he lies next to his crush.

Crawling under the blankets, he tucks himself in, grabbing a couple of pillows to snuggle into, ensuring that he did leave at least two for Minho. Once he’s satisfied, he shuffles himself further into the blankets until he hears the bathroom door creak open.

Damn, that was quick, barely even five minutes.

Jisung looks up, only to jerk his gaze back down as he spots Minho taking off his shirt.

Shirtless Minho. Shirtless Minho. Deep breaths.

The lights coming from the bathroom illuminate the wide expanse of Minho’s back for Jisung to gaze upon for just a second, before he closes his eyes shut. Jisung’s self-control reaches an all-time high, as he refuses to let his eyes glance back at Minho, who apparently had forgotten to pick up his shampoo from his suitcase, and decides that stripping in the room is normal.

The neurons in Jisung’s brain now firing repeatedly displaying the brief second of exposed back he saw all over a simple shampoo bottle.

He hears the door to the bathroom close again, and he lets out a breath he didn’t realise he was holding.

Jisung hastily swings his body to the side and turns his back to Minho. Oh God. Oh God— totally not subtle. Fuck.

He squeezes his eyes shut, as if closing them tightly will eliminate any possible reaction Minho might be having at his sudden actions. But all he hears is the continued removal of clothes before light footsteps lead into the bathroom and the door is closed shut, filling the room with darkness once again.

It doesn’t mean anything. Just the hottest guy you’ve ever seen in your life is currently stripping off his clothes whilst you lay in bed trying to be normal. So normal.

So here Jisung lays, curled up on the furthest possible point on the bed in order to take up as little space as possible. He’s probably overdoing it. It’s most definitely overkill his mind supplies, but he’s committed to the cause now.

Exhaustion catches up with him slowly, the panic of witnessing Minho’s back fading away as his body starts to drift asleep.

‧₊˚🍊༉‧₊˚.

Jisung wishes the morning sun had gently pried him awake with its bright rays of sunshine shimmering through the blinds, but instead, he hears the unnecessarily rough knocking of the door along with Seungmin yelling, “Jisung, get the fuck up or we’re leaving you.”

Blearily sitting up, Jisung takes in the dark room, the curtains are still drawn, leaving faint glimpses of light trying to sneak in past the blackout curtains. His brain slowly registers  the fact that this is indeed not his bedroom and–

Minho.

Jisung whips his head towards the side of the bed Minho had been sleeping on but the sheets remain cold and empty— he’s probably been up a while. Not that Jisung even heard him come to bed.

He wonders what his friends are thinking, that already on the first morning he’s been left alone here, his own boyfriend opting to leave him alone instead of cuddling him in bed in the morning— not that they actually would be — but for maintaining their image, of course.

Another series of knocks hits his ears. “Coming coming,” Jisung yawns and yells back.

As soon as he opens the door, Seungmin gives him a once over and a judging eyebrow raise.

“What?” Jisung questions.

“Just wondering why your boyfriend sent me to wake you up instead of him doing it himself.”

“And what are you insinuating?”

“Nothing,” Seungmin leaves a few seconds to build up anticipation of some sort before continuing, “It’s just that I’ve been over to Changbin’s a lot.”

“That’s your boyfriend… should I be surprised?”

“Well, that is your boyfriend’s house too, isn’t it?”

Jisung’s brain is still half asleep, unable to understand the riddles Seungmin is putting him through.

“And? I don’t get what you’re trying to say, it’s too early in the morning for this.” Jisung grumbles under his breath and pouts.

“No pouting,” Fuck, he forgets Seungmin is one of the few people it doesn’t work on.

“Anyways, I’ve heard enough from Changbin about your boyfriend,” Jisung cringes at the way Seungmin uses his hands to signal air quotations. “Jisung, what are you doing?”

“Not being a loner on Valentines?”

“Is that all?” Seungmins gives a few seconds to respond but Jisung stands there gaping, unsure on what he’s supposed to think. There’s something Seungmin is holding back, he can see it in the way Seungmin very subtly clicks his jaw. “People’s feelings are involved.” An unexpected edge in Seungmin’s tone makes Jisung flinch slightly.

“It’s not like he’ll actually want me back, Minnie-yah. Let me have this, and not be alone for the rest of my miserable life.” Jisung ignores the slight whine in his own voice, he knows he sounds like a child not getting the present they wanted for Christmas, but it's too early for interrogations by Kim Seungmin about topics he’s still unsure about.

“Hmmm,” Seungmin eyes him up with a calculating look once again.

“What is that supposed to mean?”

“Okay, you can go change now, we’re going to the beach. You’ve passed.” And he spins around back towards the kitchen where he assumes everyone else has gathered.

“Passed what?!” Jisung whisper shouts are Seungmin’s retreating form.

It isn’t until Jisung’s gathered his swimsuit on, a simple loose black shirt before he’s actually registering Seungmin's words.

… Fuck, does he know?

He wracks his brain for any moments when he might have slipped up, but can’t think of anything.

Changbin’s house— Minho mentioned talking to Changbin about him. Did he let Changbin in on it all being fake? And then Changbin let it slip to Seungmin? It could explain how he knows.

“Jisung-ahhhhhh!” It’s Hyunjin’s loud voice echoing through the villa now.

Time to face reality.

He grabs the last of his things, and shoves them into a bag as he leaves the room. Jisung attempts to rub the leftover sleep from his eyes as he makes his way towards the kitchen where everyone has gathered.

He spots Minho leaning on the kitchen counter, some leftover plates of bacon and eggs on the table behind him.

“Oh, what’s this? Breakfast?”

“I had the intention of feeding you a whole breakfast platter, but someone seems to love their bed more than me?” Minho teases.

Jisung thinks over Seungmin’s words for a second before dismissing them and teases back, “What? Impossible… unless…”

Minho’s eyes widen, arms reaching out to tickle Jisung, making him shriek and try to move away, only for Minho’s hands to find his sides again, continuing the onslaught of tickles.

“Oh my god, hyung stop-” Jisung wheezes out, attempting to run away towards the dining room. The escape attempt doesn’t last long before Minho’s arms wrap around his body, lifting him up. Jisung yelps at the sudden sensation of his feet lifting off the group before Minho starts to spin them around, Jisung’s laughter filling up the room.

“Watch what you say, Jisung-ah or I’ll have to tie you to the bed.”

“What- hyung but then I’m still on the bed- what?” Jisung’s words come out erratic as he tries to keep his mind sane at the implications of Minho’s words and the spinning that’s already got his head dizzy.

“Yah, stop flirting and eat!” Changbin shouts in their direction but there’s a mischievous look in his eye that suddenly has Jisung gulping, thinking back to Seungmin’s words again. Maybe he shouldn’t have dismissed them so quickly.

It’s only when Minho sets Jisung back down on the ground that he realises the multiple sets of eyes watching them from the dining room.

Minho at least has the decency to look a bit embarrassed, before he shakes his head and turns to grin at Jisung again, hand on his waist as he guides him to the table to eat.

‧₊˚🍊༉‧₊˚.

The heat from the sun warms his body, though he’s sure the rays are somehow still burning him even through his shirt. Why didn't I bring my fan? Mistakes were made.

They’ve set up some towels and umbrellas on the sand a little far out from the waves— Minho’s decision. He wants to stay away from the menacing waves, apparently.

Hyunjin and Jeogin are first to start sprinting towards the ocean, yelling out, “Whoever’s last pays for drinks tonight!”

Felix, hopping up from his spot, quickly discards his shirt to run after the two. Changbin is not far behind, whilst Chan yells at them all, “You better have applied your sunscreen! The sun kills– it does!”

Seungmin simply stands and turns to Minho and Jisung, “It’s gonna be one of you losers, I bet,” then starts to stroll towards the sea where the others are.

With a roll of his eyes, Jisung starts to stand from his spot next to Minho until he feels a hand  pull him back down. He looks back questioningly.

“You haven’t put any sunscreen on have you?”

“Oh no… not yet.”

“Lemme help,” Minho sits up on his knees reaching over for the bottle of sunscreen Chan had left for them all when setting up.

“Uhhhh.”

“Yes Jisung, I recommend you take off your shirt for this. It would help a considerable amount.”

“Oh yeah, of course.” He turns around so he’s facing the ocean, back to Minho.

He slowly pulls the shirt over his head, unconsciously holding his breath as he waits for Minho’s hands.

What he doesn’t expect is for Minho’s breath to tickle the shell of his ear, “Ready, Jisungie?”

Jisung can’t stop the shiver that goes down his spine as he swallows, “Yeah.”

The sounds of the sunscreen opening and Minho lathering his hands with it doesn’t help the rapid beating of Jisung’s heart. The first tentative touch of Minho’s hand gets Jisung to suddenly jerk away.

“Oh, cold sorry.”

Be normal.

Breathe.

“It’s just me, it’s okay,” Minho lightly chuckles before placing the palm of his hand on Jisung’s shoulder blade. “See, all fine.”

Jisung just nods, unable to get his voice to work. He feels as Minho places his other hand on his left shoulder blade, pressing down on Jisung’s warm skin and moving his hands up and down, over his shoulders and back of his neck, rubbing in the sunscreen with careful fervour. The actions seem to calm him, Jisung’s shoulders losing the tension from before, as Minho massages it into his skin. Jisung hears the cap open again, more sunscreen applied onto Jisung’s skin. Minho’s hands move down, and Jisung can’t help but hold his breath as Minho’s hands rub over his waist, hands dipping and pressing into the curve of his waist, the dip of his back. The smooth glide of Minho’s hands causes heat to pool into Jisung’s gut.

Don’t moan, don’t moan, please.

“Breathe,” Minho’s soft voice is whispered into his ear again— Jisung automatically responds to the order, letting out the breath he’d just been holding.

Okay, fuck.

“Turn around.”

Jisung’s mind goes blank for a second before he realises what that implies. He spins around, grabbing the bottle in Minho’s hand.

“Oh- uh- thank you hyung, I can do the rest on my own.” Jisung panics. Squirting sunscreen on his hands and lathering it on his chest, arms, and stomach messily before bowing at Minho, avoiding any eye contact, and running towards the sea.

Fuck fuck fuck. Did I really just run away?

The thoughts of Minho touching up his chest making Jisung spiral, there’s no way he wouldn’t have made a bigger fool of himself— more than the one he made of himself just now.

I didn’t even ask if he needed help. Fuck.

Jisung finally makes it to the sea, where he watches as half of them float in the waves peacefully, whilst the others splash each other and throw seaweed at each other. Wading his way towards Felix who’s in the middle of throwing a handful of seaweed at Changbin. He’s not  even part of the fight, but apparently everyone is fair game here.

“Lixie, please help.” Jisung whisper-shouts in his direction— Jisung thinks he’s losing his mind, so who’s going to deny him confiding his feelings to his best friend?

Dropping the seaweed instantly, Felix casts him a worried glance before meeting him a bit further from where the others are swimming.

“Sungie, what’s wrong?”

“I’m down so bad.”

“Don’t you have a boyfriend?” Felix dares to smirk at him. “The one that if I recall right, last year you admitted to having a crush on.”

“How do you even remember that?”

“Sunshine twin connection,” Jisung rolls his eyes fondly at Felix’s words, “And you have mentioned him on more than one occasion, several times, my dude.”

“Okay okay, don’t remind me.”

“Anyways, I’m just wondering why I, as your best friend and sunshine twin, was not informed of your change in dating status, until just before the trip! Not to forget to mention the fact that I told you to just ask him out months ago, but I guess you did follow my advice - in secret! Like wow! Okay!”

Felix suddenly goes on a tangent and maybe Jisung shouldn’t have voluntarily walked into this mess.

If Felix only knew the truth?

“But look at him– he’s clearly so into you, it’s kind of disgusting.”

It’s fake. It’s not real.

Jisung tries not to think too hard about it, only a weak, “You really think so?” leaving his lips.

Felix looks back at him astonished, “My dude, he looks at you like you either hung the moon or he wants to eat you whole. There’s no in between. I’ve been telling Chan for months to just tell him-”

“You told Chan?”

“Well no, but Minho-”

Felix is cut off by a clump of seaweed smacking him on the side of his face, “Yah, who threw that?” he screeches back locking eyes with Seungmin who only points at Hyunjin. Who isn’t doing a great job at looking innocent as he’s clearly attempting to run away through the water, in an awkward mix of walking and swimming?

And Felix is off, leaving Jisung standing there in the water confused at his words.

Minho said what? Why isn’t Minho here anyways?

Jisung looks around and then back at where they left all their things. Minho hasn’t left the spot on the beach.

Did I really put him off by running away?

“Your boyfriend can’t swim by the way. Just to let you know.” Jisung whips his head to Seungmin’s direction again.

“He can’t?”

“Yeah, how long have you guys been dating again?”

“What’s this, c’mon.”

Seungmin just raises his eyebrow at him.

“Like a week or two now? I think– I wasn’t really keeping track,” Jisung continues.

“Mmmhmmm.”

“Seungmin, what?” Jisung looks at him with a deadpan look– the only way to fight Seungmin is the Seungmin way.

“I hope you know what you want by the end of this, Jisung.” Seungmin replies with a smirk, “I think your boyfriend might be missing you all alone down there.”

Welp, it didn’t quite work.

But Seungmin’s right— he usually is. So Jisung decides that following his advice is probably smart.

Jisung waves to the others— who aren’t still engaged in an all-out seaweed war —making his way back towards Minho, who he finds relaxed under the shade, hand under his head as he reads a book.

“You don’t swim?” Jisung grabs a towel from his bag, quickly running it through his hair to get most of the water out.

Minho peers up at him from behind the book, and lets out a quiet sigh before putting it down and sitting up.

“Yep,” He pops the ‘p’ making his lips form a natural pout, that just looks so soft and kissable and– Jisung should probably calm himself before he makes a fool of himself again.

“You really are a cat.”

“I hope you know that’s a compliment in my case.”

“Of course,” Jisung looks down at his feet, softly digging them into the sand, “Sorry for running away.”

“Jisung-ah don’t be sorry, we’ll do whatever you’re comfortable with- and if you’re not comfortable with me touching you, it’s okay. But let me know, please.”

Jisung kneels down on the towels next to Minho, placing a hand on his thigh, “No, you’re not. I mean- I’m not uncomfortable. I like it, I mean- you can touch me, please. It’s okay, I promise.”

Minho stares at where Jisung’s hand is placed on his thigh and sets his hand on top of Jisung’s weaving their fingers together.

Jisung feels a warmth spread in his chest, a light feeling in his lungs seemingly making it easier to breathe. They sit there for a few minutes, Minho’s hand lightly tracing the lines on Jisung’s hand as they watch the couples in the distance still splashing around in the sea.

“So you really can’t swim?”

“Yes,” Minho lets out a laugh, “Why would I lie about that?”

“I dunno, avoiding me?”

“I don’t think that’ll ever happen.”

“You sure about that, Minho?”

“Yah, where are your manners, brat?” Minho playfully smacks his arm.

“Sorry sorry hyungie.” Jisung giggles, lifting his hands up in surrender.

“You wanna get out of here?”

“What, like, leave them here?”

“They’re busy, don’t think they’ll mind if we slip away for a bit.” Minho dangles the car keys in front of him, like an owner offering a treat— and Jisung eats it up. Figuratively.

He nods along, picking up their stuff before walking the five minutes back to their villa.

“Wait hyung let me change, I don’t wanna be out in the town in wet pants.” Jisung runs up to their room, shutting the door behind him and searches through his suitcase for a half-decent outfit to wear out.

Jisung attempts to dress up this time.  He’s technically going out on a date with The Lee Minho. Even if it’s fake, he can’t look too much like a loser.

He puts on an oversized white graphic tee, along with a navy vest with large flower prints on it, styled with some light-washed jeans. He brushes his hand through his sun-dried hair a few times, accepting this it’s as good as it’s going to get. Jisung looks at himself in the mirror— not bad, maybe Minho will even like it.

He runs down the stairs to find Minho lounging on the sofa, unchanged, though he didn’t really need to. Still dressed in an oversized black shirt and white trousers, he smiles as Jisung enters.

“You’re looking nice. Got a date waiting for you?”

“Hmmm, yeah, but I don’t see him.”

Minho’s got a fake grimace on his face, that looks far too funny than the attempted menacing expression that he thinks Minho was going for. “Well, I guess he’ll be very sad to hear that his date is busy with me. Now come here.”

There’s a glint in Minho’s eye that Jisung can’t deny. He would do anything this man said.

He walks towards Minho, standing right in front of him, only for Minho to bend his knees slightly, picking Jisung up and throwing him over his shoulder. A cry of surprise escapes Jisung’s lips as he’s lifted for the second time today.

“Hey- hey Minho what! My shoes!” Jisung can’t help but laugh at the absurdity of it all.

Maybe Jisung’s not the only one into manhandling.

Minho stops next to the passenger side putting him down and opening the car door, before rushing back to the house, and coming back out with Jisung’s trusty black Converse shoes in hand.

“Your Highness,” Minho bows dramatically, putting his hand out for Jisung’s foot.

Jisung can’t stop the laughter, attempting to keep it down with a hand over his mouth, “You don’t need to do this hyung, no one’s here.”

“Maybe I just want to do it,” Minho catches his eye, unwavering in his gaze. “And I need to be the better date, remember?”

Jisung just nods, never breaking eye contact, until Minho looks back down to slide on and tie each shoe.

Minho smirks back up at him when he’s done, “There you go, Cinderella.”

They park the car in a small seaside town not too far away from the villa, only having to walk five minutes before getting to a street full of shops. Minho and Jisung browse around casually, pointing out fancy clothes and expensive souvenirs on display, until they make it to the market.

Street vendors litter the area by the beach, carrying a wide variety of products at each stall; orange juice and hallabongs, collections of accessories, toys for the beach. Minho slips his hand into Jisung’s with practised ease as they make their way from the street, Jisung’s heart fluttering in his chest at the gesture, a wide smile gracing his features.

They walk further down hand in hand until coming to a stall full of accessories, Jisung spends a few minutes browsing the jewellery— maybe I should get a present for Minho as thank you?

Jisung turns around to find Minho looking over a variety of sunglasses, watching as the sunlight hits his profile just right, creating a soft glow along the sharp lines of his face. Minho’s beauty is nothing short of breathtaking.

Jisung’s never hung out with Minho for much longer than five minutes despite the overlapping of friendship groups. It’s been more of Jisung catching glimpses from afar of an angelic face, a sinful body— Minho could bring the fall of Heaven and Hell over his beauty.

Anyone would be lucky enough to go on a date with him, let alone date him. And here Jisung is, stealing Minho away from someone who actually deserves him. The deprecating thoughts come back for a moment, but he knows he shouldn’t listen, the day’s been wonderful.

Jisung shakes his head to himself before looking back at Minho who he sees picking up a pair of orange-rimmed glasses. He turns to face Jisung with the widest smile on his face. “We should get a matching pair,” Minho says as he points directly at the sunglasses as if Jisung wouldn’t be able to see the bright tangerine shaped sunglasses perched on his nose.

Laughter bubbles up Jisung’s throat and he can’t help the high pitched sounds that escape his mouth, clutching at his stomach. It’s probably not that funny, but it’s Minho.

Minho, who is somehow blessed by Gods and also the biggest fucking dork and most definitely born perfect in Jisung’s eyes.

“So is that a yes?” Minho’s smile is contagious and Jisung giggles again nodding his head.

“Yes, yes, we’re going to look so cool.” He replies. Minho eagerly pulls out his wallet to pay.

Jisung surveys the other vendors until he spots a stall promoting something about volcanic rocks— just like the documentary on YouTube I watched a few weeks earlier.

Letting go of Minho’s hand in the meantime, walking up to the small stall. The closer he gets he sees that there’s a variety of bracelets on sale, the ones that catch his attention each has a pretty coloured stone strung around volcanic rock beads.

The small old lady watches him eyeing the bracelets.

“They’re very popular for couples you know, some even say they’re perfect for soulmates.”

Soulmates, huh. Jisung smiles at the thought— imagine having a person just for you, someone who just matches you entirely, heart and soul.

He calls over Minho, who has just finished purchasing the matching tangerine sunglasses.

“Look hyung, you can have your birthstone on them, they’re made of volcanic rock too. I watched a documentary on them once you know, the way they form from the lava that’s cooled…” Jisung begins to explain how the rocks are formed after an eruption for a few minutes before realising he’s begun rambling.

He mentally scolds himself— this isn’t the time —but when he looks up and sees Minho’s open expression, as if he’d been listening and hanging onto every word Jisung had been spouting for the past five minutes, he takes it all back.

This is Minho. Who am I kidding? He’ll probably tell me off for not speaking.

“Well, thanks for listening,” Jisung coughs, clearing his throat sheepishly with a smile.

A smooth, “Always,” leaving Minho’s lips.

Jisung directs his attention to the lady, “Could I please get one sapphire bracelet?”

She nods kindly and turns to package the bracelet.

“When’s your birthday, hyung?”

“October 25th.”

“Okay,” he nods his head enthusiastically before turning back to the lady, “Excuse me, could I have one of the opal ones too, please?” Jisung asks, before realising Minho may not actually want one— he doesn’t get the chance to ask Minho as the lady speaks up, offering a couple’s deal.

Jisung panics internally, “Oh, it’s okay, we’re not actually-”

“Thank you, ajumma,” Minho interrupts suddenly, grabbing his wrist and bringing it up to place a delicate kiss on the back of his hand. Jisung can’t stop the small smile at the public display of affection.

Their hands automatically lace together as they wait for the lady to finish packing them up. Jisung quickly pays and takes the small bag before dragging Minho down the street with a wide grin.

“Slow down, slow down.” Minho chuckles.

“But I’m hungry now, hyung.”

“Here, put these on first,” Minho says, handing over one of the tangerine sunglasses to Jisung before placing his on the tip of his nose. He raises an eyebrow, “How do I look?”

Jisung purses his lips, pretending to think it over for a moment, “Hmmm not bad, not bad,” he finally responds and slides on his own pair, “But not as cool as me.”

Minho lets out a giggle, and Jisung wishes he could bottle up that sound to keep with him forever.

“I don’t know about cool, but definitely cuter– I’ll give you that.”

“Pfff, shut up,” Jisung lightheartedly slaps Minho on the arm, only for him to retaliate with a hard smack on the ass before running away.

“Hey!” Jisung yelps in surprise before chasing after him, “That hurt! Oh my god, hyung! Get back here!”

Minho’s loud laughter echoing through the streets.

They soon run out of energy, Jisung’s stomach producing a rumbling sound every few minutes.

“Stop laughing hyung, I told you I was hungry. You made me use up all my energy.” Jisung whines.

“Yes, don’t worry, I’ll feed you soon enough,” Minho says grabbing Jisung's hand to lead in the search for a place to eat.

They find themselves grabbing some early dinner in a small seafood restaurant, a variety of cuts of sashimi and raw fish intriguing them. They make light conversation over the food, jumping from topic to topic once with ease as they finish all their food. Their stomachs finally full and satisfied.

Jisung leaves to use the bathroom, only to come back and find Minho paying for their food yet again. Minho simply laughs and promises, “Next time, next time, I swear.”

Jisung hopes his stern glare intimidates him enough to know he’s being serious.

“You better hope so, or else.” Jisung attempts to look menacing, but he doesn’t think it’s worked well as Minho tries to hide a fond smile behind his hand.

“Whatever you say, baby.”

‧₊˚🍊༉‧₊˚.

A low-fi beat fills the car as Minho starts the engine. He had let Jisung connect his phone to the car as they headed back to the villa, playing some of the songs he talked to about the day before in the cafe— though none of his own songs yet, he doesn’t think he could without imploding in his chair.

Minho hums along to the beat, the sounds lulling Jisung into a false sense of comfort, as Minho prepares to reverse the car out of their parking space by the shops. Minho turns in his seat, body now facing Jisung as he places his hand on the headrest of Jisung’s seat to look out the back of the car.

It shouldn’t be as sexy as it is, but the way Minho is focusing, and the flex of his bicep has heat pooling into his gut for a hot second before he mentally smacks himself.

Is this goddamn car cursed to make me horny or something because what the hell?

Jisung can’t help the way his eyes trail down Minho’s arm, the veins on his hands, the taunt muscle and broad shoulders. He follows his gaze up to Minho’s neck, the way his Adam's apple bobs and veins bulging slightly there too— Jisung would lick the sweat off him if given the chance.

The angular line of his jaw, Jisung thinks if he were to trace a finger down it, it would be sharp enough to cut him. He doesn’t realise he's unconsciously moving closer, eyes darting to naturally pouty lips, an equally sharp nose— a small mole placed on the side, Jisung wants to press a soft kiss to it. His finally drift up to gaze at Minho’s eyes only to find Minho already staring down at him— fuck.

Jisung jerks back suddenly, pressing himself back into his seat.

The car hasn’t even been moving.

“You alright there, princess?”

A small whine leaves Jisung’s lips.

“Let me out of the car.” Jisung turns to the side to open the door. He pulls— locked.

He decides that lighting banging his head against the window will do, but Minho doesn’t seem to appreciate the gesture as he leans over the console, hand taking a firm hold of Jisung’s chin— forcing him to look him in the eye.

“Nope, you’re mine today, remember.”

“Why are you even putting up with me?” Jisung mumbles.

“Jisung-ah,” Minho presses his fingers into his skin just a bit harder, “I want to be here with you.”

Jisung suddenly can’t find his voice, his eyes dart down to Minho’s lips again, and back up to eyes, nodding his head— or at least as much as he can in Minho’s grip.

“Okay, well let’s get going.” Minho says, letting go of Jisung’s chin to pat his cheek before putting the gear into drive.

Jisung assumes he’ll have a moment to calm down, but God doesn’t seem to be on his side today, because Minho doesn’t place his left hand back on the steering wheel, but settles on placing his hand on the expanse of Jisung’s thigh.

The heat of Minho’s hand seeps through the fabric of Jisung’s jeans, almost as if they’re burning and imprint on Jisung’s skin. What he would do to feel Minho’s hands on his bare skin again, let him mark each point of contact so that anyone will know who he belongs to— where Jisung wouldn’t run away again.

Jisung tries to play it cool, feigning nonchalance as Minho squeezes the soft flesh of his thigh every few minutes. He looks out at the view, the sun hasn’t set yet, the sky is still an array of bright blues, slowly mixing with orange hues, the beautiful waves of the sea crashing upon the beach, the feeling of Minho’s hand trailing further up his thigh.

He turns to face Minho, but of course, his eyes are on the road, eyes sharp and concentrated, almost disinterested— and that somehow makes Jisung feel worse. He narrows his eyes— he just said he wanted to be here with you, calm down.

The fingers on his thigh start to move up and down, each time getting further and further up— the heat in Jisung’s guts come back tenfold. The small spark before has ignited and there’s a flame in his belly. Each careful press, the pressure of each fingertip digging into Jisung’s skin. He wants it more, wants it harder. Jisung bites his lip. He turns to Minho again.

He’s still unbothered.

Jisung knows this may backfire terribly on him, but he can’t help the desire spreading through his body.

Temptation is too strong.

The next time Minho squeezes, Jisung doesn’t hold in the whimper that leaves his mouth. A broken sound that he doesn’t think he could’ve even held back if he tried. Minho’s hand doesn’t release, instead grips harder, which has Jisung dropping his phone in the gap between his thighs.

Minho presses harder, then releases. Jisung lets out a breath before Minho starts to knead the soft muscle of his thigh, thumb pressing into the skin of his inner thigh, alternating with feather light touches and forceful intensity. Jisung lifts his hand to his mouth, biting his finger to suppress what sounds may escape his mouth next— not that it works well as the small whines and whimpers reverberate in the enclosed space of the car.

Jisung turns to Minho, and he’s not so unbothered anymore, his eyes are still focused on the road, but there’s a distinct flush on his skin, the tips of his ears red, that goes down his neck and his chest. Jisung wishes he could strip Minho’s shirt off to see the full extent of the flush— how far down does it go?

A proper moan finally escapes through his bitten fingers, as Minho pinches the sensitive skin of this inner thigh, pressing his thighs together, trapping Minho’s hand between them. It doesn’t stop his ministrations as he continues to pinch further up and–

Minho pulls away, hand placed back on the steering wheel as Jisung jerks his head in his direction, eyes hazy and questioning.

“What- hyung?” Jisung whines out, any shame has left his body at this moment. He’s running on pure desperation. He wants– no, needs Minho to touch him.

“We’re back Sungie.” Minho says, and Jisung would think he’s still unaffected if it weren’t for the red flush and slight strain in his voice as he spoke.

Jisung takes a deep breath— In, out, in, out.

What the fuck just happened?

How am I supposed to be normal after that?

His brain begins to race.

What have I done?

“Jisung, breathe.”

The car is parked— when did they park?

Minho’s hands are on his shoulders, there’s a worried look on his face. He’s searching for an answer in Jisung’s eyes, but Jisung can’t keep the contact. He closes them shut.

I can’t keep worrying him, just be honest.

“I didn’t want it to stop,” he whispers, almost wishing that Minho wouldn’t be able to hear him.

“Me neither…” Minho’s voice is soft too, almost vulnerable, too vulnerable for the filthy thoughts in his mind moments before.

Jisung opens his eyes and Minho’s still looking back at him, and a small smile on his face.

“Let’s go inside before they send a search party, we’ve been ignoring their texts for too long at this point.”

“Oh shit, wait-”

“C’mon, no point making them wait any longer.”

“Wondering where you guys were, disappeared outta nowhere, we’ve been waiting for you. Anyways, go clean up. Felix wants to play a game.” Chan declares as soon as they walk in the villa.

Feeling a bit guilty at ditching the rest of them, Jisung takes a quick shower, following Chan’s request, throwing on his loose sleep shirt and shorts again before waiting for Minho to finish so they can go down together.

Minho comes out of the bathroom donning a similar oversized shirt, and sweatpants, putting out a hand for Jisung to take to go back downstairs. Jisung can’t help but think maybe Minho has a thing for physical affection just as much as Jisung, if not more.

When they make their way downstairs, Jisung does not expect to see the rest of the boys sitting in a circle, a huge selection of soju and beer bottles, various bags of candy, and a pack of cards in the centre.

Even more surprising was being informed that the game in question was strip poker.

He guesses the horny Gods were the ones to bless this house today.

Strip poker.

Okay, okay, okay, okay.

So normal.

Minho pulls him into the living room, Jisung following behind, as they take their place in the circle next to each other. Jisung looks up at Changbin, sitting opposite him with a wide smile. He can't deny that Changbin's joy is infectious, but something in his eyes makes Jisung feel like he knows something that he doesn't.

He inches just a bit closer to Minho, narrowing his eyes, but Changbin’s grin only grows wider before he shouts, “Think you need a drink to loosen up, Sung-ah!”

Rolling his eyes fondly, he accepts Changbin’s suggestion, grabbing two bottles of soju from the pile, and passing one to Minho, who’s busy talking to Chan on his other side.

They all take a shot to start off the round, before Chan shuffles the cards and passes them out to each person.

“Wait, wait, what are the rules?” Minho cuts in before the game can actually start.

“Oh yeah, well-” Felix is cut off before he can finish.

“I wanna see Jeongin without his clothes!” Hyunjin announces to the group.

“You do realise you don’t need a game to do that? There is such a thing as your own room and personal space. You don’t need to scar the rest of us.” Seungmin states, earning him an eye roll from Hyunjin.

“Nope, you just gotta strip your partner until you're satisfied.”

“But you have no shame!” Changbin does attempt to back his boyfriend up, only for Felix to chime in, “Then I guess you’re going to lose, Changbin.”

“Felix, this isn’t a competition.”

“It is now!”

“Okay so, when you lose– your partner has to be the one to strip you.” Minho nods along as he grasps the rules.

“There’s only one winner for each round though.” Chan adds.

Felix thinks for a second before answering, “Okay, so the winner picks who is going to strip.”

“Oh god, Felix, people are gonna be so horny.”

“I mean that’s where the fun is,” Felix shrugs as if the answer had just been so obvious, “Plus don’t tell me you think you’re gonna lose Seungmin. Remember you only get the chance to strip if you lose.”

Seungmin fixes Felix with a glare, one that would probably have Jisung shaking, but Felix has never been one to back down.

If there’s one thing going for him is that he’s always been underestimated— maybe he can use this to his advantage?

Who would expect little old Jisung to know how to play poker well? He mentally thanks his brother at this moment for teaching him the rules at a young age.

Drinks flow freely, and soon many of them are already at the tipsy stage and in various stages of undress.

Having watched Felix take off Chan's shirt with his mouth, Hyunjin voluntarily does a strip show routine just for Jeongin, along with Seungmin taking off Changbin’s sweatpants with a surprising amount of sensuality Jisung will admit, Jisung sits somewhat satiated at his winning streak.

Though not only clothes are the only thing coming out tonight.

“I am not going to take off my pants! I would never do such a thing in the living room.” Seungmin denies the loser’s forfeit from Jeongin.

“Seungmin don’t be such a hypocrite, you can’t say that when I know you and Changbin had sex on the couch! I live there! Our shared couch!” Minho shouts back with a passion that makes Jisung sure Minho has been holding his feelings over this for a couple of months now. Jisung opts to share his support by rubbing Minho’s back and nodding along to his rant.

Seungmin simply nods his head, accepting defeat in this case as Changbin seems to be having a laughing fit on the floor, unable to hold it in. Jisung catches the slight tilt of Seungmin’s lip, a fond smile he tries to hide as he hears Changbin’s laughter.

He maybe thinks his plans at getting at Minho haven’t been working out too well, since he’s been winning, his poker face unexpectedly throwing off the others, has resulted in Jisung watching a lot of stripping from people he would rather not watch right now.

Whereas the one person Jisung would like to see remains fully clothed.

Minho sits there with a smirk on his face, and Jisung doesn’t know what’s gotten into him but the smirk and cockiness infuriates him at that very moment. It shouldn’t be so damn sexy when he looks like that. Jisung wants so badly to do something about it. So he throws. He throws his tactics and his plans of winning.

It happens in the next round, when Hyunjin’s intoxicated ass— only sitting there in his boxers and shorts, seemingly very comfortable in that state of undress —somehow wins this round. He has an arm wrapped around Jeongin, running his fingers through his hair. Surprisingly the unexpected calmer of the stripping couples, but Jisung may attribute it to Jeongin’s tendency to have a spike in energy early and the crash a few more drinks in.

Hyunjin raises an eyebrow in his direction,  Jisung knows what’s coming— just like he planned.

“Sung-ah!”, Hyunjin yells out with a giddy smirk, “Go strip your boyfriend's shirt off!”

The jostling and yelling seems to wake up Jeongin, as he instantly starts to cheer in support for his boyfriend.

“Don’t be a pussy!” Jeongin helpfully supplies.

Jisung gulps— no, this is not the time to be shy.

Minho’s already done damage to Jisung’s sanity in the car, it’s time for Jisung to get back at him.

A wave of false confidence washes over him, he stands up facing the pair shouting at him, “I can take my boyfriend’s shirt off no problem! Who do you think I am?”

Jisung spins on the spot and instantly gets back down to straddle Minho.

Jisung’s not some pathetic virgin without a boyfriend, he can show them he isn’t afraid, that he and his boyfriend totally fuck and they’re totally into each other, and that this is all totally not fake.

Jisung’s always been on the back foot, stunned by Minho’s forward actions, fake or not and Jisung wants to be brave. He wants to be selfish in this moment.

Minho seems to be just as stunned as everyone else in the room, including Jisung himself at his own actions. A bright crimson blush paints the highs of Minho’s cheeks, his pouted lips parted in either shock or awe.

Jisung wants to touch, so he doesn’t stop himself, he brings a hand up to cup Minho’s jaw, running a thumb along the flush on his cheeks. He feels Minho’s sudden intake of breath, his hands tentatively curling around Jisung’s small waist. The featherlight pressure makes him dizzy— he wants more.

Bringing his hands down, he drags them along the planes of Minho’s clothed chest, pressing on the warm skin as he makes his way down to the hem of the shirt— Minho’s hands tightening on his waist at each passing second. A gasp escaping his lips as Minho squeezes hard, looking him in the eye— he finds desire, a want, a need — and maybe Jisung isn’t the only selfish one here.

Jisung holds his breath, he doesn't care for the chatter in the background, all he hears is the blood rushing in his ears.

He slowly lifts the shirt up, purposely running his fingers on the bare skin of Minho’s stomach and chest. He feels each unsteady inhale and exhale that leaves Minho.

Jisung finally gets to see what he’s been waiting for since the incident in the car. The shirt is pulled over Minho’s head, revealing a soft stomach and firm chest, one flushed a similar red to his ears and face. Jisung places his bare palms on Minho’s chest rubbing at the muscle, before carefully rubbing over a nipple. Minho’s hands squeezing tighter and tighter, Jsiung isn’t sure he’ll be able to breathe soon enough.

Minho bites his lip, bunny teeth pressing down on plush lips, his eyes are lidded, pupils blown wide and Jisung needs him now— there’s a bonfire in his core that can’t be put out.

Jisung leans down to Minho’s ear, just like the other had done to him before, and whispers, “Take me to bed.”

The result of his words are instantaneous as Minho gets up with an ease that can only be attributed to a strong core and powerful thighs, Jisung locking his legs together around Minho, still in his arms. All he can focus on is Minho’s bruising grip— he hopes it leaves marks.

Jisung barely hears the words of the other boys as Minho carries him to their room.

“Well, this was fun.”

“Hyunjin, can we go fuck now, too?”

“I did not sign up to watch real-life porn, oh my god.”

“Chan, I thought you said they weren’t actually dating.”

‧₊˚🍊༉‧₊˚.

There’s a bubbling of anticipation on the surface of his skin, a thrill at the fact Minho is gripping him so tight. Jisung’s own hands wrap around Minho’s shoulders, fingers threading through the hair at the nape of his neck. Minho groans at the feelings, and Jisung tugs just a little harder— he wants to hear the sound again.

Jisung feels stupid, it’s such a short time— how can he be so infatuated so quickly, so lost in their conversations, entranced by his voice. He’s always found it so hard to find someone, he doesn’t understand how Minho can get exactly what he needs in a moment, what he needs in a moment’s notice. He wonders for a moment if Minho feels the same, is there this feeling in his chest that he can’t explain, being with someone who just clicks.

Jisung can’t help but think whether or not there even is a fatal flaw in this man or was he just born this perfect.

He can’t even blame the alcohol for his actions, his poker winning streak resulting in significantly less drinks taken— but Jisung yearns, through the sober thoughts, Jisung still yearns so badly and he can’t lie anymore.

“Nghh, Jisung-ah, I want you.” The way Minho moans out his name adds more fuel to the fire within. Jisung pulls Minho’s hair one more time so that he’s given free access to the long line of Minho’s neck. Licking a stripe up from Minho’s collarbone, tasting him.

Minho slams him against the wall, Jisung’s legs locked around Minho, squeezing tighter, as he lets out a moan. Jisung can’t wait any longer, he launches himself forward in Minho’s hold, pressing their lips together with such fierce determination, Minho easily opening his mouth to kiss back with just as much desperation.

Whines and moans escape both their lips as Minho pulls away from the wall to throw Jisung on the bed. The force of it makes Jisung bounce before settling at the centre, pushing himself up onto the pillows.

“Please, touch me.” Jisung’s voice is already wrecked, the makeout stealing all the air from his lungs.

Minho climbs over him, crawling up his body till they’re face to face.

Following what Jisung did earlier in the night, Minho traces the lines of Jisung’s body through his shirt before slipping his hands underneath, his warm hands causing sparks to ignite at each point he touches Jisung’s bare skin.

Minho rubs up and down the line of Jisung’s body pressing into the dip of his waist. He leans down to whisper into Jisung’s ear, hands gripping onto Jisung’s flesh hard enough to bruise, “Let me fuck you the way you deserve.”

A series of desperate pleas escape Jisung’s lips— begging for Minho just seems so natural.

“I’ll take care of you.” Minho reassures him.

Minho is careful with him, stripping him as if he were unwrapping a priceless artefact until he lays bare for Minho to devour. Grabbing the lube and a condom from his toiletries bag, Minho opens Jisungup at a torturous pace, playing with him until he’s whining and begging for more, on the verge of tears.

That’s when Minho finally gives it to him, pressing in slowly, making Jisung focus on every inch that enters his body.

When Jisung is finally ready, Minho lets go, and drives his hips forward at an unrelenting pace, deep thrusts alternating between quick, short thrusts directed at his prostate.

“Nghh, god- Minho- nghh,” Jisung struggles to string a sentence together throughout the endless pleasure that shoots through his body. “Please-”

Minho grunts at each thrust, leaning down over Jisung to swallow up the moans and cries, consuming him whole. The kiss is messy and wet, the slide of their spit-slicked lips leaves room for high-pitched whines to escape every now and then. Jisung knows he’s barely kissing back, too overwhelmed by the pleasure.

“God, you're so perfect. Sound so perfect for me. Look so perfect for me. Made for me.” Minho emphasises each line with a deep thrust.

“Close, I– I’m close.”

“Yes, for me, cum for me, baby.” Minho groans out, voice ragged and rough.

Jisung’s cums at his words, Minho following not far behind. Almost collapsing onto Jisung before he catches himself on his forearms.

“Hi hyungie,” Jisung’s voice cracks as he whispers into the air between them, “I think I died and went to heaven.”

Minho laughs, “You’re not allowed to leave me yet, at least make sure I can follow.”

There’s a dopey grin on Minho’s face, one that Jisung is sure he’s mirroring.

Minho’s hair is a mess, sweat making his bangs stick to his forehead, but Jisung swipes a hand through it, pushing the bangs to the side as he leans up on his elbows with the little energy he has left to press a sweet kiss to Minho’s forehead. He instantly drops back down into the pillows as he watches Minho’s already flushed face deepen in colour.

“You’re so pretty, hyung.” Jisung is sure he must have had the embarrassment temporarily fucked out of him as he continues, “I think I should kiss you every day so that you can also always be red, it’s only fair.”

“Fair to who?”

“Fair to me, you always make me red.”

“Maybe I just like that colour on you.”

“You’re a colour.”

Minho barks out a laugh, “I think your brain is falling asleep on you.”

Jisung hums, rolling to the side as Minho quickly cleans up before climbing back into bed, finding a place right behind Jisung.

“Night night, my love.”

Jisung feels like he’s floating, pleasure slinks through his system like a drug, his eyes closing as the feeling coaxes him into a deep sleep.

Jisung wakes up in bliss, a warm hand draped on his waist, back pressed up against a firm chest. Steady breaths tickle the back of his neck as Minho holds him in his arms. The feeling of satisfaction is only temporarily as the memories of what happened last night come back to him.

God, Minho was drunk. Fuck.

We had sex when Minho was drunk. Double fuck.

A sudden feeling of anxiety thrums through his body, an electrified static that buzzes along his skin. He needs to get up, get out, leave now.

He reaches for his phone at his bedside. The light from his phone stings his bleary eyes momentarily before he reads: 14:25.

Jisung carefully lifts Minho’s hand, and slips out of the bed. Carefully dressing and brushing his teeth, thoughts spiralling in his head.

Minho drank so much more than me.

Jisung knows, he can’t help the way his eyes never stray from Minho, always on his mind, always watching, even just from the corner of his eye. So, Jisung is certain he had far more to drink than Jisung had.

Jisung should’ve been the responsible one. Shouldn’t have made Minho kiss him.

And maybe Minho wouldn’t have been opposed sober, but it’s too late now, he’s already fucked up.

The thought of even asking right now is terrifying. He can’t do it.

Selfish and scared. That’s all he’ll ever be.

He buries his head in his hands, he can’t face Minho now. Can’t face the regret that’ll take over Minho’s face when he looks at him.

Jisung exits the room, ashamed at the tears that he feels building up, threatening to slip down his cheeks.

Fresh air, he needs to go outside.

Jisung rushes towards the door, head in his hands, accidentally bumping into Changbin.

“Yah you get some last–” Changbin cuts himself off as soon as Jisung looks up and he sees the tears threatening to spill over. “Oh, Jisung-ah, what did he do? Did he hurt you?”

Changbin places his hands on Jisung’s shoulder, a stable grip, grounding, home, safe.

Jisung can’t get the words out, just shakes his head, the tears start to clog his throat. He’s panicking.

“Out,” he’s finally able to voice.

Changbin— so intune with people’s feelings, instantly gets it — and guides Jisung to the car, before he curls up in the passenger seat, Changbin driving them 10 minutes to a nearby park.

Jisung calmed down enough to not let the tears overwhelm him, fiddling with the bracelet he had bought for the both of them only the day before. He hasn’t given Minho his yet. Not sure if he will now.

They sit in silence in the car, looking out at the view of a lush green field, filled with picnic benches and pretty trees full of flowers. Jisung can’t help the passing thought that it would have been nice to take Minho here one day.

Changbin’s given him enough time, he knows he will give him as much as he needs, but Jisung needs to step up for once.

“Minho and I aren’t really dating.” Jisung isn’t looking at Changbin when he says it.

“I thought so.”

“How?” Jisung furrows his eyebrows.

“There was no way you were actually dating– Minho-hyung doesn’t shut up about you, and a week before the trip he suddenly was suspiciously quiet whenever I brought you up. Suspicious as hell. Then you announced you were suddenly dating. Like, no way.”

“Why couldn’t we have just been dating?”

“Because I don’t think Minho would have it in him to not talk about you if you were actually his.”

Jisung's heart skips a beat at the words before the feelings of regret wash over him again.

“But I’ve messed up now– he’s going to regret what we did last night, I should’ve stopped it.”

“How do you know he regrets it?”

“I just do.” Jisung’s voice is unsteady, a light crack at the end of his words, he knows Changbin is unconvinced.

“Well, I don’t know if I should say, because it’s Minho you should really talk to,” Changbin sighs, “But Sung-ah, I’ve known Minho for many years, and I’ve never seen him so smitten, it’s honestly kind of gross. Especially considering how long he’s been pining for you.”

“It’s only been like a week.” Jisung speaks to his lap, the blush rising to his cheeks at Changbin’s words.

“Hah- I wish, that man’s talked about you for far longer than you realise. I’m surprised it’s taken so long, I always thought you two would be a perfect fit.”

Jisung’s head snaps up at that, “What?”

“I mentioned you to him months ago.”

“Oh…”

Months ago— and Minho still never did anything until Jisung came to his door asking to fake date him. His mind feels like an unsolved puzzle, too many pieces splayed across the floor, but Jisung just can’t see the big picture.

“Just talk to him, Jisung.”

Jisung nods in acknowledgement, a small hum coming from his lips.

“Now let’s have a stroll shall we? Might as well make use of our time here.” Changbin ruffles his hair with an affectionate smile.

Jisung is glad for drinking responsibly the night before, otherwise he doesn't know if he would actually have it in him to go out tonight.

Plans to go to the Valentine’s Day themed bar completely left his mind earlier in the day. Not that it would’ve been one of Jisung’s preferred places to go in the first place, but he couldn’t get over the excited smiles of the others as they dressed in their fancy Valentine themed outfits.

Jisung hasn’t spoken to Minho about them yet, but he’s sure he can sense the tension between them. A bit hard to miss considering the fact that Jisung did a runner and disappeared for almost the whole day.

Jisung sits at the booth they reserved where a drunk Hyunjin is attempting to tell everyone the story of how Jeongin and him got together again along with a string of other Jeongin-related stories.

“It’s my baby’s birthday! Everyone look at him, he’s a big boy now,” Hyunjin grins, showing off Jeongin as if they don’t already know who he is.

“It was four days ago.” Chan supplies.

A mistake on Chan’s part, as Hyujin instantly rebuttes, “Jeongin deserves at least a week to celebrate his birth. Look at this man! Let me go call his mother to thank her for giving birth to him.”

Chan promptly attempts to put a stop to Hyunjin before Jeongin’s mum is exposed to the rounds of poetry he is about to spout on the topic of Jeongin’s birth. Said man being slightly too intoxicated to stop his boyfriend, that is if he were even able to say no to him in the first place.

Minho’s been hopping back and forth between sitting at the bar and coming back to the booth to join in some conversation— even replying to some of Jisung’s quips at the other couples, but never coming to next to Jisung.

It’s like there’s this invisible wall separating them, and for someone who craves Minho’s touch on a daily basis, he curses at himself for ruining what simple happiness he once had.

It doesn’t help that Minho looks absolutely divine, a long-sleeved navy blue silk button-up paired with a black choker. He’s done some light makeup, eyeliner emphasising the sharpness of his feline eyes, some gems in the corner for a little sparkle, and a dash of gloss on his pretty lips.

Jisung would be drooling if he wasn't so aware, overthinking every action Minho’s taken tonight. Well, he was, until Felix roped him into a drinking game after seeing Jisung sulking in the corner for far too long.

So here Jisung is, very tipsy and very aware of how much he wants Minho by his side. How can he keep fucking up so badly?

It’s at this point in the night where Jisung’s gaze naturally searches for Minho in the crowd, only to find him talking with another man at the bar.

The stranger keeps leaning in, laughing a bit too loudly at Minho’s words, a playful hand on his shoulder trails down his bicep.

A nauseating feeling of jealousy erupts in his core. Someone is flirting with Minho, his Minho.

He shouldn’t be jealous, Minho is a free man— only Jisung’s on a temporary technicality. Guilt floods his mind at the sparks of possessiveness. He has no right.

But…

The man leans closer once more and Jisung snaps.

Minho is his boyfriend— mine, mine, mine.

With less grace than he would like to admit, Jisung stumbles over to where Minho and the other man are leaning against the bar table and latches himself to Minho's side. Arm weaving through the gap where Minho has his arm on his hip— Jisung clinging onto Minho like an octopus, wrapping him up and never letting go.

He plasters himself further to his side, chin on Minho's shoulder as he looks up at Minho with wide eyes, ignoring the man opposite them.

Enjoying the warmth of being by Minho's side again, focusing on his comforting presence in an attempt to soften the blow later when Minho is inevitably upset at him for his actions.

He doesn’t deserve any of this, but tipsy Jisung's brain does not care for the consequences. That’s future Jisung’s problem to deal with.

Through Jisung’s hazy vision, the annoyed glare or disappointed frown that he expected does not grace Minho’s face but instead, there’s a lopsided smile, way too open and fond for Jisung’s brain to process what it actually means.

Minho simply cranes his head down to press a chase kiss on Jisung’s forehead.

It lasts for barely a second but Jisung can feel the burn of where Minho’s lips made contact with his heated skin.

“Sleepy, baby?”

Jisung smushes his face into Minho's shoulder, shaking his head into the muscle of Minho's bicep.

“Missed you. Wanted you. Mine.” Muffled words make their way to his own ears. He doesn’t know if Minho will be able to translate them, but he is apparently a mind reader. He hums in response, carefully removing his arm from where Jisung has got a tight hold on it.

Jisung whines for a second at the audacity of Minho to let him go before his words are cut off by Minho wrapping an arm around Jisung’s shoulders. He’s suddenly pulled in even closer, his face pressed into a solid chest, hand splayed next to his face to balance himself at the sudden manhandling on his body.

A light squeak - that Jisung will deny ever happened later - leaves his lips at the unexpected action.

Yours, Jisungie? Is that what you’re saying?”

Jisung nods into Minho’s chest, clinging tighter to Minho’s body, arms wrapping around him, fingers grasping at the soft fabric of Minho’s silk shirt.

He feels as Minho noses at the crown of his head, a soft gesture that would have Jisung melting on the spot if it wasn’t for Minho’s arms around him.

The voice of a stranger pulls him out of his thoughts, he cranes his head away from its comfortable perch to stare down at the person across from them.

“Hmm, oh this is my boyfriend, who I’ll be taking home now, soooo… bye!” Minho says to the man before guiding Jisung out the door.

“Let’s get out of here, baby,” Minho whispers in his ear.

Jisung doesn’t deserve this, for being scared, for being a coward— but Minho seems to just get him and Jisung can’t let that go.

‧₊˚🍊༉‧₊˚.

Th first thing Jisung registers is the fact that he does not remember getting into bed, only the feeling of leaning on Minho’s shoulder in the taxi as his eyes slowly shut.

Clearly passing out in the taxi is a reasonable assumption.

Jisung yawns, stretching his tired body as he realises that what he’s laying on is not actually a pillow but Minho’s chest.

“Happy Valentine's Day, honey.” Jisung jerks his head, suddenly looking up at Minho who’s lying down, with his hand propping his head up on the headboard.

“What-”

“Cat got your tongue this morning?” Minho teases.

Jisung freezes for a few seconds, unsure of the words he wants to say. He sits up suddenly, Minho following so they’re facing each other, knees touching.

“Hyung, why are you being so nice? After what I did yesterday...” Jisung gulps.

“Well, you could say I have a weakness for pretty boys, with the most beautiful eyes and kissable lips.” Minho reaches forward to brush a stray piece of hair behind Jisung’s ear.

Jisung flushes— God, it’s too early for this.

“I got scared,” Jisung admits, “That it was a drunken mistake, that you’d regret it in the morning.”

“Well, did you regret it? Because I didn’t.”

“No, of course I don’t! It’s just you drank way more than I-”

Minho chuckles behind his hand, “I’m pretty sure I have a stronger tolerance than you think.”

“Oh… yeah, well.”

Minho just smiles kindly at him, “I started to think that you actually liked me, and it was obvious that I felt the same, so I never questioned it.”

“I do,” Jisung rushes to confirm the feelings he very much still has, “Why didn’t you say anything? If I was so obvious?”

“Why didn’t you?” Minho replies simply.

“I wasn’t sure you’d ever actually want me. Look at me… and look at you.” The self-deprecating tone escapes for a moment, as he gestures to them both.

Minho lets out a sigh, and reaches out to hold both of Jisung’s hands in his.

“Jisung-ah, I don’t think you even understand how much I want you, how long I’ve wanted you for,” Minho starts, “I heard so much about this talented prodigy from Chan and Changbin, and I was intrigued, a little spitfire full of energy and pure talent.”

Jisung ducks his head at the words, as Minho rubs circles into the back of Jisung’s hands, so similar to how he caressed Minho’s on the plane.

“Then I saw you at Changbin’s party, standing in the corner, and you seemed like you just wanted to sink into the floor,” Minho continues, shaking his head fondly as if recalling the memory, “but then Felix came, and I don’t know what the fuck he said, but god the way you laughed, that heart-shaped smile– that just took my breath away.”

Jisung’s sure his whole face is aflame now, stunned at Minho’s words, “Oh hyung-ah…”

“I’m probably ashamed of my actions, I definitely asked about you too many times to Changbin and Chan that they got suspicious eventually.” Minho laughs sheepishly to himself at the end.

Hearing the words from Changbin made it easy to distance it from reality, it was just made-up words that weren’t actually true— but watching Minho as he recites his feelings for Jisung? Jisung doesn’t know how he’s alive right now.

But a thought pops up in Jisung’s head.

Months. Why did he wait?

“Why didn’t you just ask me out?” Jisung questions, curiosity getting the better of him.

“That’s the thing Jisung… I did.

Jisung’s world stops spinning.

“You what?!”

Minho chuckles a bit awkwardly, letting go of one of Jisung’s hands to rub the back of his neck.

“I asked you if you wanted to have dinner sometime, and well, you said you already had plans.”

“That was you asking me on a date?!” Jisung screeches.

“Ummm, yeah?”

“I thought– it wasn’t a friendship thing?”

“No… and I thought maybe you were actually just busy, but whenever I tried talking to you, you’d always disappear or run away. I just accepted that you weren’t interested.” Minho lets out another deep sigh, “Which was why I was so surprised about the offer to fake date. Thought that this was all I was going to get, so I couldn’t say no,” he says, with a sheepish shrug of his shoulders.

“But, I feel the same.”

“Yes, you feel the same.” Minho gives him a genuine smile, eyes crinkling in the corners, bunny teeth on display— he’s so beautiful.

Jisung needs to have him for real. Only his.

Jisung suddenly jumps out of bed and rushes over to his things– picking up the small bag with the bracelet inside.

Jisung turns to Minho again and gets on one knee, Minho bursting out laughing as he falls back on the bed.

“Please, be my boyfriend Lee Minho, and take this gift as a kind offering. My real boyfriend, please.” Jisung adds an extra please for emphasis as he shoves the bag into Minho’s hands. He takes it with a smile, chuckling at Jisung’s antics.

Minho gives him another blinding smile, pulling out the matching bracelet and placing it on his wrist, looking down at it fondly till he looks back up at Jisung. His smile now turning into a smirk as he pulls Jisung in, smashing their lips together in a belated kiss of the day. Jisung squeaks at the sudden action, but easily melts in Minho’s hold, kissing back with just as much desire.

Minho pulls away slightly to whisper against his lips, “Let me show you how pretty boys like you should be taken care of on Valentine’s Day.”
