Chapter Text
“Look, I didn’t want to be a half-blood.
If you’re reading this because you think you might be one, my advice is:
Close this book right now.”
Believe whatever lie your mom or dad told you about your birth and try to lead a normal life.
Being a half-blood is dangerous. It’s scary. Most of the time, it gets you killed in painful, nasty ways.
If you’re a normal kid, reading this because you think it’s fiction, great. Read on, I envy you for being able to believe that none of this ever happened. But if you recognise yourself in these pages—if you feel something stirring inside—stop reading immediately. You might be one of us.
“And once you know that it’s only a matter of time before they sense it too, and they’ll come for you. Don’t say I didn’t warn you.
“My name is Percy Jackson. I’m twelve years old. Until a few months ago, I was a boarding student at Yancy Academy, a private school for troubled kids in upstate New York."
Percy Jackson sighed, putting his pen down and closing the journal, it was the only thing keeping him from losing his mind, his mother had just sacrificed herself to give him enough time to arrive at this camp for people like him, yet Percy felt just as alone as before, his only constant seemed to be Grover and Percy's ability to give sass when he should bite his tongue, he was sure that was going to bite him in the ass at some point
Speaking of Grover, Percy was still trying to wrap his mind around what his friend was, along with everything else that he found out within the last few hours, Percy sighed again, feeling drained but sleep was far from being something he could gain tonight, he turns in his cot, mind abuzz.
Holly woke with a gasp, sitting upright, Death was unhappy, something had upset the careful balance that Death upheld, that Holly upheld as Master of Death
"Death?" She whispers in the dark of her room, it was cold, and she could see her hot breath so she knew they were around
Holy sits up in her bed after shes met with silence, rising her hand she casts lumos, lighting her room with the golden light at her fingertips
“ Death, i felt the balance slip” Holly says, trying to gain some kind of understanding of what she had felt.
instead of the verbal response she had been expecting, she’s thrown into a vision of sorts
Holly cant hear what had been said but it was clear to her what had happened, a mother had given their life for her child
“ holly, you cant just leave to find this boy” Hermione granger, one of holly’s best friends and the brains of the group
Hermione had been arguing against Holly since she had voiced her want to find the boy
“ that boy is me! He’s alone in this world with no understanding, his mother is potentially dead. He needs someone on his side” Holly argued back, she knew what it was like to be thrown into a world without any support and she wished to offer hers
“ Holly…..”
”I'm going to find him hermione, with or without you” Holly says, interrupting her friend, would Holly rather have the help of her friends? Of course but if she had to then she could and would do it by herself.
Percy awoke to a strange feeling, strange in the way it felt like he was going to meet someone that was going to help him with everything, like the tides were shifting to favor him
Percy doesnt understand the feeling but he knows that whatever or whoever is on the other side isnt going to hurt him
Grover had sensed a change in his friend and charge within the last few days, of course he had just seen his mother turn to dust after finding out he was a demigod, he was owed a break
Holly sighs as she mentally checks she has everything for the journey ahead, she had enough food to last her a good few months especially with a stasis charm
Once, she has confirmed that she has everything to her satisfaction, she packs her last few things into her bag and leaves for the train station
Miles away on mount Olympus (?) Zeus is overcome with a sense of foreboding as he finds out his bolt has been stolen
He doesn't bother with the fact that it cant be the new kid, Peter something or other, Zeus was king of the gods and his bolt was gone
Poseidon’s brat was just the easy option to accuse, surely Zeus couldn't be wrong, a god like him could never be wrong, unless you spoke to his wife, Hera, or literally anyone that had to spend longer than a moment with him like the othe gods have
“ I WANT THE THIEF FOUND NOW” Zeus bellows from his throne, his face red with rage, it was a blow to his ego that is lot had been stolen and he was ove masking for it
