Chapter Text
Katarina was doing her usual routine, bullying the heroine, only... She slipped on her way back from that said small event three hours ago.
She parted with her said friends who left for their own devices and whatnot.
She slipped on an unseen thing in front of her and fell backward.
"Uwaahh--?!?"
She hit the back of her head hard on a rock.
"Uuughhhh....." Her vision began going dark and bleak as she lay there, limp with her shutting eyes.
The villainess died on the first day in the academy.
A faint yet discomforting black trail of thin smoke hissed flowing out from a shadow as it slithered towards the corpse.
_____
Memories flooded through her head.
It's not really a specification but a question as to why she was getting memories of his past life in an academy she used to be in.
He worked in a small 7-Eleven store, he usually sold cigarettes and bottles of alcohol to adults and sometimes to minors if it's just those days of hating his boss.
Though his salary was fair pay, it was annoying to listen to nagging when he wasn't paid to listen to them.
His college life was fair to him, it was neither tough nor too easy, passing grades along passing times, he never got into trouble until that faithful day of being left alone did he got noticed.
And not the good kind of notice at that.
"Hey, what the hell have you been doing with my girlfriend, eh?"
Bullies.
He looked up at the guy who had an arm over his shoulder after a small box of milk was poured over his head.
Dull eyes empty of expectations.
Everyone in the cafeteria seemed to have gone quiet to watch what was happening right now.
The guy in front of him was notorious for being capable of doing horrendous things yet still getting away with them one way or another.
"I don't understand the question." He replied.
The bully was with his underlings that was under the definition being his friends.
And before he could hear an answer from him, he swung, though he dodged by leaning his head back enough for him to miss, "Please do not use violence on campus grounds, Senior."
"This litte..!"
He struck him across the face hard, the hit was strong enough to cause him to fall back.
Standing up, his life became a mess all from that single punch he did on an infamous bully.
"You bitch!"
I don't need to tell you in detail how it went down, right?
After the bully got up to hit back, he knocked him to the ground again and took care of his underlings all in one hit each before pummeling him next to the ground until he was knocked out unconscious.
"I want to buy this!" Other people affiliated with the bully he just punched across the face and beat to a pulp, and numerous bastards began appearing in front of the store he works in to mess with him.
The front of the store was always a mess when it came to it but this time tonight, he was unfortunate enough to get hit by a truck passing by that lost its brakes and killed three students that night.
The survivors had either broken a bone or two from just barely dodging.
_____
Katarina gasped wide awake in the infirmary.
She was covered in sweat, a hand to her temple, she flinched, feeling something rough.
Bandages?
It was bandages on her head, she was confused.
Though barely confused when she heard a voice from the side.
"L-Lady Claes..?"
She turned to look, it was a woman with blonde hair and blue eyes in a pink dress?
She blinked, "What....?"
Strangely enough, she was also wearing a dress? A blue dress?
Why is she wearing a dress in this run-down-looking hospital??
Suddenly, a sharp pain hit the back of her head to wince.
Yes, light magic might've healed her physically but considering she felt the pain of hitting the rock, her mental state was yelling at her that she was still hurt.
Why did she even need bandages from the beginning if light magic helped?
"Where am I?" She muttered.
The blonde spoke up for her, "You were in a little accident and were rushed here in the infirmary before the nurse had to hurry to call for me to help you."
Katarina rubbed her eyes awake with one hand to better understand the situation she was in, 'What the hell..?'
She didn't know what was happening.
The last thing she knew was she was fighting off some bastards out of her boss's convenience store and the next a truck came out of nowhere causing a tragedy.
And now she was here.
'Did I reincarnate?' she wondered before flinching when another stream of memories invaded her mind to grit her teeth for a moment.
_____
Seeing himself sitting in the same room as one of her classmates' friends was off but normal.
"Look! I've been meaning to show this game to you, it's called Fortune Lovers!" The girl in question was only two years younger than him and was a close friend of his with the other students in his classes.
"Fortunate Lovers, huh? Isn't it quite unfortunate for the villainess there to be thrown aside so easily without giving them time to improve even just a bit?" He joked, and it was simply a joke to make her laugh.
"Oh, yeah?? And how would you make it fortunate for the villainess then?" It indeed made her laugh of course.
It was probably the funniest thing he's said to her since their last meet-up together to play games she recommended out of the blue to him.
Unfortunately, she won't be seeing him play games anymore.
_____
'Did I transmigrate..?' she looked up from her hand with a deep sigh.
It concerned the blonde to ask her, "A-Are you alright, Lady Claes?"
'Claes? Why does this person keep calling me Claes? Who am I then??' it was a confusing thing to ask one's self as another series of memories struck her head again, this time it wasn't painful but reminiscing instead.
She blinked, murmuring to herself, "I'm Katarina Claes.."
Katarina Claes the villainess of the game, Fortune Lovers she used to play with a classmate back in Japan.
