“There’s no way that – that – is an Omega.” It was on the tip of Sam’s tongue to issue a scathing retort, about how the diminutive man that was staring at him with such disbelief hardly looked like an Alpha. But those days were long gone. When Sam was able to simply let any random thought that passed through his mind then proceed to exit out of his mouth. Not since the night that he had been held down and turned. All because he had tried to protect another.
“Well, it wasn’t. But it is now.” A pause as the bastard who had procured Sam from his attackers scratched his stubbled chin. “Been renting him out, but he’s not as big a draw as I was hoping for.”
“You’re just a natural born salesman. Anybody ever tell you that before?” Sam wanted to roll his eyes at the sarcastic remark, but then he realized that the idiot thought his potential buyer was being serious. Watched as he preened and smiled as he failed to realize he was being mocked.
“Well, how much you asking for him?” Sam tuned them out as his head sank lower, until his forehead rested against the bench that he was bound to. Wondering how he had managed to have gotten into this situation, just because he hadn’t been able to stand idly by and watch as that poor drunk Alpha was being manhandled by the rowdier Alpha’s. But there had been a few too many of those bastards, and Sam might have been suffering under the effects of one drink too many.
Gentle fingers on his chin drew his attention back to a pair of honey-gold eyes that were looking at him with something close to concern. “Well, he’s pretty enough. I guess I can take him off your hands.” The little Alpha let go of him then, turned away, and pulled out his phone so that he could pay for his new acquisition.
Sam knew it could be worse, so much worse. He felt the gag being slipped over his head by one of the assistants and didn’t even try to fight it, knowing it would only get him some more broken ribs, and given how he was no longer healing as quickly as he used to, he could ill afford the additional trauma. But his new Alpha had something to say about it. “Is that really necessary?”
“Standard when transporting unclaimed Omega’s from a private sale.” His Alpha grunted and then signed the final form as two assistants helped to move Sam to the car that awaited him. Some stereotypical and completely impractical little thing that would never hold his massive frame, not comfortably at least. But then, this was to be his new normal, so he had better get used to it.
Sam tried to get comfy, after he had been shoved down into the back seat, but it was proving to be impossible. He ended up with his face smushed into the leather of the door, while his feet were twisted at an odd angle so that the other door could be closed. The car didn’t even shift as his Alpha got behind the wheel, and soon they were on their way. Sam could only hope that it was an improvement over his previous circumstances. That he wasn’t going to be rented out, as it had been so ineloquently phrased. Tied to a bench as one unknown Alpha after another made use of him and his holes. Forced to endure night after night of unwanted attentions. Never knowing the who, or when, or what of the next nightmare scenario that he would find himself trapped within.
Sam sank down against the seat, as the Alpha drove them to who knows where. He didn’t seem like he was looking to hurt Sam, but then that was subjective, wasn’t it? Sam had never been one of those Alpha’s that would frequent the public brothels. He had always considered them to be little more than a place that an Alpha could go to harm another, and not have to bear any consequences for their actions. Sam had thought he understood what Omega’s went through, but he truly had had no idea at all. And now it was much too late for Sam to do anything about the laws that ruled over them.
Alpha’s ruled, and Omega’s served. That was the general theory that was practiced far and wide. And while Sam had never actively contributed to the suffering and degradation of another, he realized now that he should have done more to help those suffering under the weight of the unjust society that they found themselves trapped within. He closed his eyes as he tried to sort out his thoughts, as he pondered just how bad his life might become. Wondering if there might be some actual hope to be found in the Alpha that hadn’t seemed like he was going to be a typical brute.
Almost an hour later, the loud and strangely lyrical singing came to an abrupt halt, as the car came to a stop. Then that soft voice was floating back towards Sam, wrenching him out of his troubled thoughts. “I know this isn’t how you saw your life unfolding, but just try to behave yourself. Alright?”
Sam rolled his eyes up to meet the gaze that still held far too much tenderness for an Alpha, nodded his head slightly, as that was all that he could do, what with being bound and gagged, and then waited. The door opened and he heard voices, planning what they were going to do with him, which was concerning. Because who goes to an Omega saleyard without having all of the appropriate contingencies already in place for when they arrived back home?
The door opened slowly, allowing Sam to try to not fall out of the car. He was mostly successful, but a warm hand moved to assist him, and within moments, he was being gently removed from the vehicle. He mentally winced as he realized that the transformation may have left him in a big body, but this tiny little Alpha now had considerably more strength than Sam did. He tried not to dwell on it. Tried not to wonder what purpose he would serve. Maid? Kitchen staff? Sex slave?
Sam glanced about the large home as the little Alpha guided him along, not stopping until they were in front of an upstairs bedroom door. He opened it with a little ta-da being spoken under his breath, and then Sam really had to wonder what the hell was going on. The room was spacious, the bed was large, and the shackles were intimidating. It was a newly developed instinct that made him attempt to flee, but he was easily subdued.
“None of that now.” The soft comment was accompanied by a tightened hand and then he was marched into the bathroom. It gave him no comfort as his wide eyes took in the matching cuffs that were littered about the room. “Don’t fight me on this. Just get yourself cleaned up.” The words followed as Sam’s gag was removed and his hands were freed from the bindings.
Sam’s instincts were warring within him. His old Alpha instincts wanted him to stand up and defend himself. Stop whatever was headed his way. His new Omega instincts wanted him to bow down and submit. After the last month that he had spent strapped down to the breeding bench while he was used by all that could scrounge up the money, this seemed like the better alternative. He nodded, saw the sad smile that ghosted over his new Alpha’s face, and then he was alone.
New instincts be damned, Sam still checked all the windows in the room, only to find them securely locked. With a sigh, he set about doing as he had been instructed. The bubble bath felt amazing, and Sam scrubbed himself until his golden skin had picked up a soft pink tinge. With a sigh of regret, he pulled himself up and out of the tub, dried his big body off, and then slung the towel low around his narrow hips. Hips that had never been intended to assist in bringing life into the world. He had to wonder if his new Alpha would continue the birth control regimen, or if he wanted to turn Sam into his breeder. Sam shivered as the conflicting emotions welled up from deep within him. The desire to make life with another was old, but the urge to carry life within himself was new. And with that thought still rattling around his brain he placed both hands on the doorknobs to the bathroom doors and proceeded to head towards the newest part of his life.
Sam caught sight of the little Alpha, as he sat on the edge of the bed, clad only in a pair of silk sleep pants. But he immediately rose to his feet and then crossed the room, stopping when he stood directly in front of Sam, head full of light brown hair not quite making it to one of Sam’s broad shoulders. Small hands landed on Sam’s hips, and then he was drawn closer. The Omega had to wonder at the proper protocol, but before that thought was even fully formed in his mind, he found himself leaning down, meeting the lips that were closer now as his Alpha had stood up on his tiptoes.
The kiss was chaste, but the release of pheromones it caused left Sam reeling. A hand on the back of his neck steadied him, and then he was being guided across the room, and eased down onto the bed as the towel was pulled away, leaving him bare. He simply rolled himself over, exposing his firm derrière, knowing that was what his new Alpha would want.
“No, please, don’t.” The soft words washed over Sam as he lay there, patiently waiting for whatever was going to happen next. He raised his head, to look back over his shoulder. Meeting a tender gaze as a hand helped to roll him over onto his back. “I don’t want it to be like that. Gritted teeth and silent tears. Not after what you did for me…” The Alpha trailed off, and then he was easily manhandling Sam up the bed, not stopping until he knelt between Sam’s spread legs. “Could we start at the beginning? Hmmm?” Sam couldn’t help but to share a smile with this gentle Alpha, who was taking such care with him, so he nodded his head and waited.
“I’m Gabriel.” A small hand landed on Sam’s upper thigh, but didn’t move, which made Sam realize that he was expected to give a response.
“Umm, hi.” But when all that met his words was a continued stare, he decided to try again. “I’m Sam.” A bright smile greeted him, and Sam was taken by how attractive Gabriel was. How even though he was slight, he was well-muscled. With the high cheekbones, the full lips, and the soft smile, Gabriel’s features didn’t help with an intimidation factor, but he had an intelligence that shown in his bright eyes, a confidence and swagger in his stride, and a wit that rolled off his tongue with ease. Sam’s eyes trailed down, taking in all that his new Alpha had to offer, realizing that he hadn’t been shortchanged at all where it counted most. Sam hadn’t gotten a look at any of the Alpha’s that had used him over the last month, but he still had to wonder if Gabriel’s cock was going to fit.
A soft chuckle washed over him, and then Gabriel was leaning in and capturing Sam’s mouth in an urgent kiss. One that was communicating so much more than just lust or biological imperatives. This one spoke of deeper emotions, and Sam could only pray that everything this kiss was promising would come to pass.
Sam began to relax, the longer they kissed, and then hands were sliding over him, and a whine in the back of his Alpha’s throat encouraged him to use his own hands. To glide over the smooth pale flesh that felt so amazing under his thick fingers. It was a different experience for him, not being the one leading, but he found that he liked it – well, with Gabriel at least. This strange little Alpha who smelled of caramel and chocolate, who tasted even sweeter, and who was guiding Sam through how all of his times should have been. The new Omega surrendered himself to the moment and was shocked as wave after wave of desire washed over him.
Gabriel was sliding lower, his mouth leaving a hot trail across Sam’s taut flesh, and then Sam was left writhing as he was completely engulfed in a hot, wet heat. As his Alpha’s tongue swirled while his cheeks hollowed, Sam came screaming. All while being held down with minimal effort. It was almost too much, and Sam had barely even begun to recover, when he felt the rock-hard cock nudging against his slick entrance, seeking to pleasure him further.
A delicate hand cupping his jaw gained his attention, and he stared into shimmering honey-gold eyes as Gabriel slowly sank in, one incredibly thick inch after another, until his Alpha was completely buried deep within Sam and the Omega’s hands could only clutch desperately at the bedspread beneath him.

Gabriel sank into the tight velvet sheath and felt his eyes want to roll all the way back into his head, but he couldn’t allow that to happen. Not while Sam was staring at him, tears glittering in those amazing kaleidoscope eyes that most everyone else would simply write off as hazel. Never stopping to examine the treasure that was contained within this precious Omega. One who had been so strong and powerful and had lost it all as he had defended another.
Gabriel knew that Sam must not remember. Must not realize that the Alpha claiming him was the one who had almost been turned against his will. It had taken Gabriel time to piece everything together, drunk as he had been, to realize what the kind stranger had saved him from. Tracking him down had taken longer than Gabriel had expected, but he was determined to make it up to Sam. To thank him at least once a day for every single remaining day of his life, until he was finally greeted in death by the Almighty Alpha.
Gabriel leaned in for another kiss, as he waited for Sam to adjust to the intrusion, remembering how he had felt nothing but rage as he arrived and saw how Sam was being abused by another. Simply strapped to a breeding bench in the middle of a filthy barn, seeing how anyone wandering by could stop and take in the show. Or pay to be allowed to abuse him further. But Gabriel didn’t want to think about that now. Right now, all he wanted to do was claim this amazing man, who was just as beautiful within, as he was without. To show the world that he would keep him safe for the rest of his days.
Gabriel reached up and swiped away the single tear with the pad of his thumb, before he gently shushed Sam. “Don’t worry, sweetheart. I’ll make it all better.” Arms with corded muscles had slid up and around his slender torso, and he knew that they would have been stronger before the forced transformation, would have been able to crush Gabriel easily in the past, but no longer. And that was something that Gabriel would seek out a remedy for, a wrong that he wouldn’t stop trying to right. He just wasn’t going to do it today. Not when he had more urgent and pressing matters to attend to. Like showing his new mate just how amazing and wonderful it could be with an Alpha that truly cared for them. That saw how incredible they truly were.
His Omega had drawn in a harsh gasp at the first tentative roll of his hips, and then Gabriel was drowning in the depths of his Omega’s shimmering eyes, as he softly sought permission. “May I?” A shuddering breath and a broken sob, followed by a slight nod and a turned head was his only response, but it was enough. He drew Sam closer, before he licked over the long neck, feeling the pounding pulse, sighing as he found the mating gland, and then his teeth extended and all he could taste was the tangy copper rolling over his tongue as he claimed his new mate. Savoring the exquisite sensations as the tight sheath he was fucking into clenched around him.
Gabriel shifted them then, as he sat back on his haunches, drawing Sam’s narrow hips along, arranging his long legs so that they wrapped around his narrow waist, and then he took in the splendor that was his Omega’s writhing body as Gabriel continued to plunge into Sam over and over and over again. Watched as his Omega’s graceful back arched, as his throat worked to make some sound, as his fingers clawed at the bedspread. Gabriel could feel his knot beginning to pulse as he continued to drive into Sam, knew that it wouldn’t be long now. Until they were finally one.
“Please…” The strangled cry sent Gabriel over the edge, and he drove into the incredible Omega – who would be his forevermore – one last time. He felt his knot expand, and then he shuddered through his climax, as he claimed Sam in the most primal way. Wishing and hoping that eventually they might be able to create their own child, who they would fight to keep safe. No matter what.
Gabriel collapsed across the broad chest that was rising and falling rapidly as it sought to dole out some much-needed oxygen to the still quivering muscles that had once been so formidable. But now were simply a reminder of all that had been stolen away. He pressed soft kisses against the miles of golden flesh, as they waited out his knot. Fingertips slowly tracing over every valley and curve, as he tried to figure out the necessary words. Needing to apologize for what had been done to Sam instead of him, while still letting him know that Gabriel didn’t regret the outcome. Not in the slightest.
While mating a transformed Omega was perfectly acceptable, Alpha/Alpha matches were not. Even when one was as small as Gabriel. He wasn’t even sure how he had ended up in that bar, or what he had been thinking that had led him to put himself in such a position. Maybe it was all the years of being rejected, because he wasn’t the biggest, the strongest, or the brawniest. He had wanted it all to end, be turned so he no longer had to worry about trying to find a mate, and now, through the will of the Almighty Alpha, he had had the perfect mate served up on a silver platter. Not that Gabriel had ever wanted it to come to pass like this. With Sam’s free will being completely stripped away from him, leaving a once proud Alpha in need of defense.
Gabriel felt the fingers tracing over his face, as they wiped away his tears. He looked up to meet hazel eyes that mirrored his own pain, and then he realized. The mating bond, the thing he had never thought would be his, allowed his mate to hear all of his jumbled thoughts. A finger across his lips cut off the beginnings of a stammered apology, and then Sam was curling up, contorting himself into a pretzel so that he could hold Gabriel close.
“This wasn’t your fault. This wasn’t my fault. It was the fault of monsters who prey on those they see as weaker.” Sam’s lips pressed against his own in a tender kiss, which caused Gabriel to wrap his arms around his mate’s broad chest. “This isn’t how I would have wanted this to be, but I’m not sorry that it came to pass.” A pause as Sam stared deep into Gabriel’s honey-gold eyes, before his rich baritone washed over his Alpha, saying the words he hadn’t been certain would ever be spoken to him. “I love you, little darlin’.”
Gabriel swallowed hard, and then his slightly shattered voice got out, “I love you too.” Before a broken sob made its way up and out of Gabriel’s slender torso and then they just held each other tight, as hands ran up and down each other’s backs, offering what comfort they could as they both pondered the what-ifs of this situation.
Once Gabriel’s knot had gone down, and their bodies had separated, they rearranged themselves and began again. And then a few more times for good measure. Gabriel was sporting his own mating bite by the time they were done, and Sam’s sweet scent had subtly shifted enough that Gabriel suspected they would be welcoming their own little bundle of joy in nine months’ time. Words of tender devotion flowed freely then, as they held each other close. Sam’s smooth baritone whispering against Gabriel’s flesh, just before he showed him what else he enjoyed kissing. Not stopping until Gabriel had spilled down his utterly pliant throat. Gabriel couldn’t seem to go more than a few minutes without assuring Sam that he would be protected, cherished, worshipped, and adored for every minute of every day of the rest of his life.
And Gabriel knew just how to begin to show Sam how strongly he felt about his precious Omega.

Castiel burst into the private study of his brother’s home, strode over to his desk, and then threw down the newspaper. “Really? This is you – being subtle?”
Gabriel didn’t need to glance at the paper, he knew what the headline would read. Yet another body of a mutilated Alpha had been found deep in the woods. The most important body parts having been removed and relocated to their stomachs, after they had been sauteed and the Alpha’s were forced to smell their own cooking flesh. But Gabriel wasn’t overly concerned, as they had already gotten their revenge.
Against. Every. Single. Bastard. Alpha.
It was just that the police weren’t finding the bodies in an overly efficient manner. “And this should concern me why? Isn’t this what I have you for?”
Castiel removed his hand from his hip, allowing his suit jacket to fall over his detective’s badge before he sighed deeply as fingers pinched the bridge of his nose. “Please, tell me how many more surprises I should be anticipating?”
Gabriel proceeded to count on his fingers for a moment as he stared up at the ceiling thoughtfully, before he smiled bright, “Only about a dozen.” He ignored the rolling eyes and the chewing sound as half a roll of antacid disappeared into his little brother’s mouth. “Need I remind you-“
“No.” Castiel cut him off. Knowing that he himself would have probably done worse had Gabriel been the one that had been violated and turned against his will. With one last groan, Castiel turned to leave, but then tossed over his shoulder, “Pass along my congratulations to Sam.”
Gabriel smiled to himself, feeling nothing but pride in his Omega, and his ability to overcome all the pain and difficulties that life had thrown at him. They had just received the happy news from the doctor. The test results confirmed that Sam was carrying twins, and in five months, they would be parents.
Gabriel got up and went to their bedroom. He quietly slipped into their favorite space, and spotted Sam laid out on his side on their bed, massive hand resting protectively over his slightly swollen belly. Gabriel smiled as he took off his jacket and shoes, and then curled around his Omega. An Omega that he had never thought to have but would now defend until his very last breath.
Knowing that their love would only grow as they welcomed their children into the world. A world that was now that much better. A world that Gabriel would be vigilant about maintaining as a safe place for all. But most importantly, as a safe place for his Omega’s heart, one that he had sworn to protect, forevermore.
And woe unto anyone that thought to deter him from his righteous path.
The End
