Chapter Text

Heimdall sauntered down the bustling main street of broadway. His tattoo shop, ‘Bifrost Ink’, was packed with customers clamoring for his unique designs. Almost arriving at his workplace he spotted Kratos,The sheriff standing outside the coffee shop, scowling. Heimdall decided to have a little fun and sauntered over, his leather jacket flapping in the breeze.

“Isn’t the great sheriff standing there all grumpy as usual Need some ink to cover up that frown?” Heimdall teased, flashing a grin at him.

Kratos raised an eyebrow, unamused by Heimdall’s cocky attitude. “I have more important things to do than get a tattoo, brat”

Heimdall chuckled, undeterred by the sheriff’s grumpiness. “Lighten up, old man. You might actually enjoy it.”

Kratos shook his head.”I have a job to do. The law doesn’t take time off for ridiculous tattoo prints.”

“Ridiculous? Excuse me, do you really want to go there? Do you actually want to go there? Because we can, with that crazy ridiculous red tattoo in your face going up your bald head..”

Kratos glared at him, not liking his tone. “This is a traditional ink of my homeland”

“Ink is ink no matter where you get it” Heimdall encountered back with a smug face.

“I do not like you, brat”

“Aww, and I was starting to like you even more, but my offer still stands if you want to get one” He said walking past the sheriff.

A couple days had passed, Kratos with an annoyed look on his face stood in front of Bifrost ink, eyeing the colorful designs covering the walls. Heimdall smirked, showing a sketch of an intricate tattoo to a client, but his eyes flickered towards Kratos with a glint of amusement. After he finishes setting the appointment with the client he turns his full attention to the sheriff.

“Well.. if it isn’t everyone favorite cop”

“Sheriff.”

“Whatever is the same..”

“Hmm”

“You know..I think I found the perfect design for you, Sheriff. A lovely rose to match that tough exterior of yours,” Heimdall grinned, seeing the annoyance on Kratos.

“I didn't come here for jokes or tattoos.”

“Then what's the reason you’re here? You come here to look around? Make an appointment? Or just admired my beautiful artistic and unique ink art”

“Hm”

Heimdall chuckles, seeing he still can’t get a reaction from the Man in front of him, until he thinks about something.

“Hey! Just to let you know my workplaces is legal and i have all the documents, if you think you can try to find an excuse to shut me down, then you can't”

“Hm” Kratos raised an eyebrow at Heimdall outburst.

Heimdall crossed his arm. “Ok.. is there any other vocabulary you know that doesn’t involve your.. ‘Hm’..”

“Hmm”

“Oh for Gods sake..”

“I’m here to ask you some questions.”

Heimdall’s smug expression faltered slightly as he regarded Kratos with curiosity. “Questions about what?”

“There’s been graffiti incidents around town and I think you might have some insight into who could be” Kratos explained, watching him.

Heimdall’s eyes widened in surprise then he narrowed. “Graffiti? Why would you think I have anything to do with that?”

“Do you have Papers with some of your drawings?”

Kratos’s request caught him off guard

Heimdall looked at him in disbelief, he couldn't believe what he just listened to. “Excuse me?”

“The drawings you used for all of this” Kratos gestures around Heimdall’s store.

“I know what you meant.” He gritted his teeth. “I just feel insulted that you are trying to accuse me of something ridiculous!”

Kratos raised an eyebrow. “ I just want to see some”

“Look at the wall old man.. some of my designs are covering the wall..” He exclaimed as he gestured his hand around his saloon even though he felt annoyed and still insulted.

Kratos nodded looking at the wall intensely, he pulled out a photo of the crime scene to try to match it with the graffiti. Both designs had a similarity between each other, still he needed more investigation and evidence.

“They have similar designs.”

“Excuse me?”

“Your design.”

“I heard you! What I’m saying is how the hell they are similar! Mine are unique! Give me that paper let me see!”

Kratos pulls his hand up just in time so the other doesn’t take it. “No.”

“What do you mean no? I have rights!”

“This is just an investigation I’m just checking that’s all..”

“No, I feel like I’m being targeted! Like you plan all of this!”

“Not one is targeting you, I’m only doing my duty”

Heimdall looked at him in disbelief. “There’s three more tattoo shops in this city and for some reason I’ll get checked first and you have the nerve to say that they have similarities?”

"I will go over the three tattoo shops as well," Kratos replied coolly, unmoved by Heimdall's attitude. "Yours was the closest to the crime scene, that's all."

Heimdall's expression narrowed slightly, sensing the seriousness in Kratos's tone. He let out a sigh, running a hand through his blond hair. "Fine, do what you have to do, Sheriff. But I'm telling you, you won't find anything here."

Kratos nodded, taking a few pictures with his cellphone to analyze it later on in his office.

“I’m surprised you know how to use a cellphone”

“Quiet, brat”

“Is this because I keep making fun of you, isn't it?”

“No,” Kratos said simply.

Heimdall rolled his eyes tired of Kratos' short answers and sat on the chair watching him take a few more photos on his wall decoration. After a couple more takes Kratos nodded at him as he left without saying a word.

Meanwhile Heimdall looked at the door where the sheriff left feeling more annoyed because of the whole situation.

“Similarly.. on MY design.. the nerves that old man have..”

Heimdall mumbled as he looked at the time of the clock on the wall to start to prepare his tools for the next client, which was coming very soon.
