"Almost there," Fritz cooed, "try to keep your heart rate down during this. If you flinch, I may make a lethal puncture." The younger doctor's words were soothing as Ludwig tried to focus on something that wasn't the immense pain in his skin and heart.
A month ago, Fritz and Ludwig had made an agreement. If Dell had broken Ludwig's heart in any way, Fritz was allowed to do what he had been craving to do since their first meeting. It just so happened that on Valentine's Day, the Red medic had found his lover in bed with their sniper. So, in the late of the night, Ludwig had slipped off and crept into Fitz's surgical theater. Though, an issue began to itch underneath Ludwig's skin as the operation began.
The issue wasn't the ice-pick piercing the inner of his eyelid, nor was it the feeling of Fritz digging around in there. In fact, Ludwig found this pain quite pleasant. Perhaps he could test this on Fritz when he recovered. The problem was the humiliation of having a younger man operate on him, it felt insulting to his years of experience and carnage.
"There we go!" Fritz chirped, sliding the ice-pick out with intense care. After a few seconds of recovery, a baby blue gloved hand gripped at Ludwig's face and turned it from angle to angle. "So, how do you feel?" Fritz asked, though it was clear he was trying to get praise from the more experienced one of the two.
"I feel.." Ludwig trailed off as his body began to reform his frontal lobe with an indescribable quickness. Obviously, both of the doctors knew the lobotomy wouldn't have left Ludwig with permanent damage. It was common knowledge between both the Red and Blu team that their medics had this terrifying regeneration ability, but neither of the medics knew its roots. With a concerned expression from Fritz, Ludwig spoke up.
"I feel great."
