Model Behavior

Summary:

A model Bakugou AU! Bakugou's parents- instead of letting him take the entrance exam at UA- pull him out of school to begin model training at the fashion agency they now own. It's been almost fifteen years now and Bakugou Katsuki is one of Japan's most famous models, but no one can get close to him because of his controlling parents. That changes at a charity photoshoot for a calendar featuring the top twelve heroes, where he meets Kirishima Eijirou.

Idk where I'm going with this but I'm taking y'all along for the ride with me. Heed the tags, TW for eating disorders and abuse.

Notes:

PLEASE KEEP IN MIND THERE IS A LOT OF TALK OF EATING DISORDERS AND ABUSE IN THIS FIC. If that won't trigger you, please enjoy!

Chapter 1: Eijirou

Chapter Text

Kirishima did not like photoshoots.

He wasn’t insecure about how he looked- not anymore, at least- he just modeling. He wasn’t even a real model! Just some buff hero- and he always felt stupid when he did photoshoots.

But this was for charity. He had to suck it up.

They were at the Bakugou agency- which Deku had not been excited about. He’d said that he knew the people that owned it and they weren’t the nicest, but they had been plenty nice to him when he’d first gotten there. But now he was starting to see what Deku was talking about.

They practically barked orders at the assistants, who all just followed along with whatever they said. They were nice to all the heroes, of course. Must be because they need the business. But the assistants all seemed annoyed at best, and scared at worst.

He was October- fitting since that’s when his birthday was- since he was number 3. It all led up to the number one hero, Deku, in December. Todoroki was after Kirishima, with Uraraka before him. Watching Uraraka struggle to do as the Bakugous said just made him even more nervous for his turn.

He was wearing some small trunks that were going to be covered by a rather large pumpkin. Other than that, he was completely bare. He didn’t hate being shirtless, but he certainly didn’t love it with all the pretty models around waiting for their photoshoot which was supposed to be next.

He sat quietly in his chair, watching them set up for the next picture when the most beautiful man he’d ever seen walked through the door.

Blond. Tiny. The prettiest face he’s seen in years- maybe ever. He blinked, speechless, watching as the- he must be a model, he was gorgeous- model walked through the photoshoot with two coffees in hand.

“Got your coffee, mama,” he said quietly, handing his mother the cup he had in his right hand. Of course, he was the child of the owners, he looked just like his mother. But more stunning by a longshot.

“Thank you, honey- let me see yours,” the woman replied, tapping the lid.

“Oh, my God, you can’t trust me to get my own coffee? There’s no cream or sugar in it, I’m not stupid,” the man argued, though he did as he was told anyway.

“Just making sure,” she said, looking her son up and down. “Go get dressed for your shoot.”

“Can’t I stay?” The man asked, putting the lid back on his cup. “Please? It’s the last three heroes, I want to meet them,” he practically begged. Before the woman could argue- and it definitely looked like she was going to- he continued. “I’ll do an extra photoshoot if you want me to. I’ll help out on the next five if you let me stay. Please?” He asked, giving his best puppy dog eyes.

The woman sighed softly, rolling her eyes. “Fine. But stay out of the way,” she said. The man nodded and kissed her on the cheek, smiling brightly.

“Thank you, mama,” he said, moving through the crowd of camera operators and assistants to make his way to where Kirishima sat, waiting his turn.

“Hi,” he said, smiling at the redhead, who was utterly speechless. “You’re Kirishima Eijirou, right? Number three? I’m Bakugou Katsuki, I’m a huge fan,” he said, holding his hand out.

The taller man looked up at Katsuki from where he sat, eyes wide. He blinked, coughing and excusing himself for looking so pathetic. “Yeah! Yes, hi! Kirishima Eijirou- well, wait, I guess you knew that, sorry- yeah! Yes, it’s so nice to meet you,” he said, fumbling over his words. “I’m… sorry, I look like a total idiot right now, don’t I?” He asked, shaking his head at himself.

Katsuki smiled- God, Eijirou would do anything in the world to keep seeing that smile- and laughed. “No, no, don’t worry. I’m kind of famous, too, so I’m used to reactions like that,” he said in a faux-cocky tone. “Kidding. I don’t get out much, but… I really like heroes, so I know a lot about you guys,” he said. “I’ve been looking forward to this shoot for months.”

“Well, that makes one of us,” Eijirou joked, gesturing to the seat next to him. “Please, uh… sit! I don’t mind sharing a space,” he said, and God he sounded like a goddamn moron.

Katsuki didn’t seem to mind, though, because he took the seat next to him and sipped his coffee quietly. He sat on his hip- that had to be uncomfortable, the kid didn’t have any meat on him, he was practically all bone- and crossed his legs, watching the assistants set up.

“You don’t like photoshoots, then?” He asked, looking up at the redhead.

Eijirou shook his head, chuckling a bit. “No, not at all. I always feel stupid when I do them. I take it you like them? You know, being a model and all?”

“God, no,” Katsuki replied, smiling. “But I’m good at it. All that matters, right?” He asked.

“You don’t like modeling?” Eijirou asked, confused. Why would he keep doing this if he didn’t like it?

“I like being pretty,” Katsuki replied. “I like runways. They’re fun. Makes me feel like a star every time I’m up on one,” he said. “But photoshoots aren’t my thing, either. But this is like, all modeling is,” he says, looking at Eijirou. “I think they’re ready for you. Get up there, number three,” he said, smiling.

Eijirou blushed, standing up and moving over to the photoshoot wall.

Yeah. He definitely hated photoshoots.

One of the assistants brought him his pumpkin, which was hilariously big- did they think his dick was this big? What was the deal?- and glanced up at Katsuki, who waved at him, wiggling his fingers back and forth.

“I wouldn’t get your hopes up,” the assistant whispered to him, pretending to fix some of Kirishima’s hair. “The bosses barely even let us speak to Katsuki. They’re definitely not going to let a hero they don’t know get close to him,” he said.

Eijirou looked at him, furrowing his brow. “They’re protective, then?” He asked in a joking tone.

“Extremely,” the assistant replied, looking Eijirou in the eyes. “These people have power. One phone call and your license will be revoked. Don’t risk it over him,” he warned.

Eijirou clenched his jaw tightly, looking over at Katsuki who was still looking at him.

Maybe he was worth the risk.

Maybe no one had taken it before for him.

Maybe Eijirou could be the first.

He nodded to the assistant to let him know that he understood and that he was ready to begin the photo shoot, bracing himself for the worst thirty minutes of his life.

The photoshoot was a little ridiculous. He could really only do one or two poses with the pumpkin, eventually resorting to just flexing and making somewhat silly faces before they were finally done with him. He smiled wider every time he heard Katsuki laugh, though, glancing up at him and winking.

Once they were done, he handed the pumpkin off to the assistant who handed it to him, thanking the Bakugous for their time and contribution to the charity they were raising money for. He still had no idea what it was, but it didn’t matter. He hoped it was at least somewhere good.

He made his way back over to Katsuki, who was now talking quietly with Todoroki about how nice it was to be married to the number one hero, and smiled. “Hey, um… just wondering, uh… could I maybe get your number or something?” He asked sheepishly, ignoring the smirk on Todoroki’s face. It was no secret that of all the members of the top ten heroes, Eijirou was the perpetually single one. Not for lack of trying- just for lack of… flirting ability.

Katsuki looked at Eijirou like he’d seen a ghost at the question, glancing over at his parents. They weren’t looking at him, it seemed.

“I’m sorry- I didn’t… I’m not trying to make you uncomfortable, you can totally say no! I get it, sorry again, just- yeah, forget it,” Eijirou backtracked, shaking his head at himself. How could he be so stupid? Someone as pretty as Katsuki, there was no way he was going to go out with someone like Eijirou.

“No, no, wait,” Katsuki said, still looking at his parents. “Um… yeah. Yes, you… Yes,” he said, nodding quickly. “Yeah. Let me write it down for you,” he said, pulling out a pen and paper that he had in his bag. He wrote it down quickly- like he was scared of getting caught. “Just wait until eleven o’clock tonight to text me. Okay?” He asked, shoving the paper in Eijirou’s hands and glancing back at his parents one more time.

Eijirou’s eyes widened, but he nodded quickly. “Yeah! Yeah, of course! You got it,” he said, matching Katsuki’s volume just in case. “I’ll… talk to you later,” he said, nodding.

Katsuki nodded back to him, smiling. “Go get changed, number three. My parents need the dressing rooms cleared out soon,” he said.

Eijirou nodded quickly, moving to the dressing room to quickly strip down and get into his street clothes.

God, he was going to ride this high for the next month.
