Taehyung flips the album pages, eyes wandering to the transparent slots filled with different memories from different stages of his life. Honestly speaking, Taehyung could’ve never imagined himself at this point of life in the past, it’s like a fervor dream come true. But in the end, he’s finally here, on the most important day of his life. He couldn’t be happier.
A smile ghosts his lips when he spots the important people of his life beside him in the pictures change throughout his life, he himself has changed a lot on the contrary. A bittersweet smile takes over his lips when his eyes land on a particular person, the memories assaulting his mind and he couldn’t help but let the epidiascope play in his head.
His walk down the memory lane is interrupted by a knock.
“Taehyungie, it’s time son.”
Closing the album, he takes a deep inhale to rinse his mind of any lingering memories, what’s in the past remains in the past. This is present, the drastic turns his life took have finally come to a destination.
One look at himself in the mirror reveals the Audible glow on his face, the ecstasy radiating off him, blinding even himself. He smiles.
Running his henna adored hand over the embroidery of his sherwani, Taehyung's eyes move towards the sehra on his head, the red tilak his mother put on so fondly on his forehead enhances his beauty tenfold.
Upon opening the door, he’s greeted by his father, who looks equally as charming and happy as ever. After all, his son is getting married today. Taehyung can imagine the confusion and a swirl of emotions on the guests’ faces while they witness his wedding and can imagine the questions they might harbor afterwards.
The guests are none other than all the friends he gathered upon his journey till now. It’s ok, he’s ready to face the world because he has all he ever wanted by his side, and he’s loved to an extent he overflows with it. He couldn’t ever imagine in his wildest dreams receiving this overwhelming amount of love and still reels at the memories of himself yearning for even a drop of it. He doesn’t have to anymore.
Taehyung holds his father’s hand with a blinding smile of his own mirroring his father’s grin and whispers—
“Let’s go dad, they must be waiting.”
