Chapter 1

Alistair felt groggy, as if he'd drunk too much the night before, and now he was experiencing a terrible hangover. The problem was, he clearly remembered not having had anything to drink for several weeks. He opened his eyes suddenly despite the pounding headache. He looked around, and the first thing he noticed was that he was wearing glasses. He'd never needed to wear glasses before. Second, he found himself in a room that felt familiar, but one he'd never been in before.

Then his gaze fell on his wrists as another pain shot through his stomach. He saw with horror the cuts in both wrists, which looked deep, but also seemed to be healing with unusually rapid speed. He had to find a mirror quickly, because his hands weren't his hands, nor was the rest of his body. He struggled up from the floor and looked for a mirror, but there was nothing.

As a last resort, he used the window's reflection and was shocked by what he saw. He saw the reflection of the character Harry Potter from the book series whose universe he loved but hated the way the story unfolded. He felt that Dumbledore was poking his nose in a bit too much and that Voldemort could have been eliminated more quickly if the old fart had bothered to share the information he had, rather than raising the main character like a damn lamb to the slaughter. He was in Harry Potter's body, but how?

Alistair looked at his wrists again and thought he understood what had happened. In this dimension, Harry Potter had been unable to bear living with his torturers any longer and, seeing no way out, had committed suicide. His soul had indeed left his body, and in a sense, he was dead, but a more powerful force must have decided to seek out a soul from another dimension to compensate for the loss of Harry Potter's soul—his own, in this case.

Well, he was certain that Alistair wasn't going to let things unfold as he'd read; he was going to take his destiny into his own hands, and to hell with the old fool and his stupid plans. He first had to figure out what year he was in to determine where he was in the story and then make plans. Based on what he saw in the reflection and the skinny appearance of his body, he felt like he was 11, maybe 12.

So, he must have been closer to 13 or 14. He absolutely had to find a newspaper. Fate seemed to be on his side when a loud knock sounded at the bedroom door, probably to wake him up, and the sound of locks unlocking could be heard.

"Get up, boy! You have five minutes in the bathroom, and then you can make us breakfast before you do your chores! Marge's coming in less than three weeks, the house has to be spotless by then, monster!" barked what he thought was Uncle Vernon. Unfortunately for the man, he didn't scare him. After all, he was a thirty-five-year-old man inside, and he had definite plans that didn't include living here any longer under his conditions.

"Yes, Uncle," replied Alistair in a bland voice so as not to anger the whale. Five minutes in the room passed quickly before he went downstairs to prepare breakfast for the real monsters in this house.

Alistair, while preparing it, took the opportunity to read the date on the newspaper to locate himself in time. Luckily for him, he was only a week into his second year at Hogwarts, so plenty of time to change things drastically. It being a weekday, Vernon was leaving for work. Dudley had told him he was going to meet up with his gang for the day, while Petunia planned to go to the neighbor's house to hear the latest gossip.

He, however, was "doomed" to do the endless list of chores. Well, he wasn't actually going to do them, since he had other plans. He pretended to start by thoroughly cleaning the kitchen, just waiting for them all to leave to put his plan into action. Alistair didn't have to wait long, since they seemed eager to be away from him.

So much the better. He wasn't going to bother trying to pick the lock on the cupboard where, he knew, the trunk with all of Potter's possessions, including his wand, was located. He went to the garden shed, grabbed the axe inside, and went back in to smash the cupboard door open with a powerful axe. It felt great, even if it made his headache worse.

He quickly retrieved the trunk and the birdcage. Alistair vaguely remembered that Harry had left Hedwig in the Weasleys' care so she wouldn't get hurt or starve there. He shrugged and quickly took out his wand. He couldn't perform magic with it, or he'd be spotted by the mark on it, but he wondered if, if he placed his hand on the trunk and called upon the magic, it would bend to his will.

Against all odds, Alistair succeeded on the first try, and he restrained himself from jumping for joy. He had to get out of this house as soon as possible. Before leaving, he swung the axe at the big television in the living room in retaliation; they deserved it, and anyway, Alistair was going to make sure they didn't survive the summer.

He left the house, trunk in his pocket and wand in the air, calling the Knight Bus. It arrived almost instantly. He boarded, called for the Leaky Cauldron, gave Stan the money, and quickly went to hang on to a post for what was to come.

It was with a heavy heart that he stepped off the Knight Bus in front of the Leaky Cauldron. He didn't bother to thank them, just put on the cap he'd stolen to hide his scar and entered the pub. He went to the back just as a wizard tapped his wand on the bricks and the entrance to Diagon Alley was revealed.

He took the opportunity to quickly follow the wizard, then once in the wizarding alley, he headed for what he knew was Gringotts Bank. They would be able to help him, and if all went according to plan, he would surely emerge from there as a friend of the goblin nation. He entered the bank and walked over to the teller furthest and most isolated from the entrance.

"What do you want?" the teller asked curtly. Alistair wasn't outraged, understanding that most wizards treated them with condescension and contempt.

"Sorry to bother you, Master Hobgoblin, I'm seeking a meeting with the person who manages my vaults. Unfortunately, I don't have my key with me, as others have it. I was hoping perhaps blood identification would suffice." Alistair said respectfully to the goblin, who looked at him in shock at the profound respect he was showing his race. The cashier softened as much as a goblin could.

"Of course, take this dagger and make a cut in your finger, then drop three drops of blood onto this parchment." The goblin declared as he held out the dagger and a piece of parchment. Alistair quickly took the dagger and cut his finger without so much as a wince, dropping three drops as requested. When the cashier saw his name, he quickly ushered him behind the counter and into an office.

"Headmaster Ragnok will join you shortly. We should have spoken to you a long time ago, Mr. Potter," said the cashier before leaving the richly decorated office. Alistair waited patiently, hoping by the end of the day to be emancipated and live elsewhere. Suddenly, the headmaster entered the office and took a seat in front of him.

"Good morning, Mr. Potter. I apologize for the wait, but I had to retrieve your files from your former manager. We discovered that Griphook, your former manager, had allowed Dumbledore to withdraw money from your vaults, as well as family heirlooms and books. These were, of course, recalled to the vaults, and the missing money was removed from Dumbledore's vaults to compensate for your loss. This, despite his status as a magical guardian, is forbidden. We were supposed to speak to you during your first visit two years ago; unfortunately, the half-giant wouldn't allow us to do so. I'm glad you came, despite Sirius Black's escape. Before I get into the nitty-gritty, what was your reason for coming to see us today?" the goblin headmaster asked.

"The reason I'm here is because I live in an abusive home. I'm beaten, starved, and locked in a locked room. I'm not even allowed basic hygiene, only 5 minutes three times a day in the bathroom. Despite my repeated visits to the Hogwarts Hospital Wing, the Healer never raised the alarm when she could clearly see the test results concluding with abuse. I'm almost certain I suffer from a severe form of malnutrition that has had a major impact on my height and bone strength. Furthermore, my scar emits very dark magic, and I strongly suspect Dumbledore left me in the cold night, on my torturers' doorstep, unattended after the attack at my birthplace."

"This so-called magical guardian never bothered to check whether I was loved and cared for in the family he dumped me with. "He gave my vault key to the half-giant, then to the mother of a friend I didn't know until I met her last summer. She was the one who broke into my vault last year to take the money she considered sufficient for me for the year. I want to be seen by a private healer who won't be at the beck and call of the headmaster, and he'll tell her that I left my loving family home to be healed."

"I also want a bloodline test to see which line I can claim lordship from, and I also want to know if I can emancipate myself now." Alistair told the goblin, who was growing increasingly furious as the story he knew almost by heart unfolded. The headmaster called a goblin into his office and barked orders at him in the goblin language. The goblin ran out of the office, making Alistair raise an eyebrow. I've requested that a private goblin healer see us. In the meantime, I can administer the bloodline test." The bank manager told him. Alistair immediately agreed. He had to cut himself again, but it didn't hurt, just like the first time. He was so eager to have his headache relieved. Once done, he and the manager reviewed the results.

Name: Harry James Potter

Father: James Charlus Potter (deceased)

Mother: Lily Josephine Potter née Evans (deceased)

Godfather: Sirius Orion Black

Godmother: Alice Longbottom (institutionalized – incapacitated)

Lordships:

-Peverell

-Black

-Slytherin (by conquest)

-Ravenclaw

Gifts:

-Ancient Runes

-Parseltongue (unlocked through the Horcrux)

-Herbology

-Blood Magic

-Necromancy

-Animagus (2)

Both Ragnok and Alistair were shocked by what they were reading. The Headmaster, because he hadn't seen the Peverell lordship in a hundred years. It had rejected all possible heirs since the line had become Potter. But what worried Headmaster Ragnok was the presence of a Horcrux inside the boy.

Alistair, for his part, was clearly surprised; never in the books had it been mentioned that Harry Potter had such gifts. Nor even that Parseltongue was actually a latent gift in his blood, and not because of Voldie's Horcrux, but unlocked by the Horcrux. Good heavens, if he played his cards right, he could actually do more than he thought.

"I don't see the Potter lordship in the list, is that normal?" asked Alistair, who had always believed the Potter family had a lordship.

"The Potter family never obtained a lordship. Popular belief is that because of their immense fortune, they were part of the nobility, but in reality, the Potter family is not part of the twenty-eight sacred, therefore, they have no lordship. On the other hand, they could have obtained the Peverell lordship, but since the line became Potter, each heir has been systematically refused by the ring."

"For a hundred years, no heir has attempted to obtain the lordship. You could succeed where your ancestors failed. If this is the case and you obtain one or all of the lordships, you will be considered emancipated since you will be a lord. Being the last of your line for the majority, you can have the lordships even if you are not of age. For the Black lordship, it is a little more complicated since there is another possible heir in the presence of Mr. Draco Lucius Malfoy."

"But, if the Lordship Black ring accepts you, then you can become Lord Black. If it rejects you, you will no longer be able to claim the title, and it will be passed on to the next in line, who will also have to pass the ring test. I would suggest going to the healer before testing the rings, as I fear the Horcrux within you may affect the results," Ragnok explained to the young wizard.

"So you can remove the piece of Voldemort's soul from my head without killing me?" Alistair asked with relief, shocking the headmaster further.

"Mr. Potter, do you know what a Horcrux is?" the goblin asked in surprise. Very few witches and wizards knew this, meaning that the majority who did believe it believed that only death could free a living host from a Horcrux.

"To tell you the truth, Headmaster Ragnok, I had memories of the soul piece in dream form. If I'm not mistaken, it made five other Horcruxes, a diary I destroyed a few weeks ago while fighting a giant basilisk. Helga Hufflepuff's cup, which was given to Bellatrix Lestrange née Black; Rowena Ravenclaw's diadem, which is still at Hogwarts; I know where it's hidden. Cadmus Peverell's ring, which is in the old Gaunt house in Little Hangleton. And finally, Salazar Slytherin's locket, but I don't know where it is. Is that why Voldemort is still alive?" Alistair innocently asked the goblin, who became enraged during his speech. Once finished, he called another goblin over, barking new orders at him.

"Yes, that is why the Dark Lord is still in the living world. Unfortunately for Mrs. Lestrange, she has just lost her vault because she illegally stored an abomination of nature within our walls, thus violating her contract with us. We have studied Horcruxes and found ways to remove them from living hosts. You are not the only Mr. Potter to have become a Horcrux, although I believe the one in you was accidental. Your information is valuable to us, and we will be able, with the help of the Horcrux in you, to locate the others and destroy them."

"I cannot believe he would dare to defile artifacts as precious as those of the Founders. But they will be cleaned, restored, and placed in your vaults because you are the one who, in some way, discovered them, and I am certain they will be safer with you than any other people who only want them for financial gain. Come now, the healer is waiting for us. After that, we can test the rings." The headmaster declared as he stood up after the arrival of the first goblin he had summoned.

"Wait, we haven't discussed a possible amount for my care." Alistair said, having forgotten to ask how much it would cost. Ragnok looked him seriously in the eyes.

"Nothing, Mr. Potter. Please know that we consider every child, regardless of race, to be a precious gift from Lady Magic. The fact that you were mistreated, abused, is an outrage to us goblins. I will never make a child pay for care they should have had from birth. We will heal you and make you stronger too. Let's go now." The headmaster finished. Alistair followed quickly so as not to lose him along the way. He walked quickly for such a small creature.

Alistair had thought he was in pain before, but it was nothing compared to now. The healer was alarmed when he saw the very long list of all the abuses his body had endured. He had been given several potions; first, he must have had more than half of his damaged, broken, poorly healed, and weak bones removed.

Of course, he had been assured that with the goblin-enhanced version of the Skele-gro, it would take an hour for his bones to fully restore instead of a full day, and what's more, he would be put to sleep during the treatment so it wouldn't be too painful for him. Then, when he woke up and his entire body was numb, he was given the improved versions of the nutrition potions, which would take two hours to erase all traces of malnutrition, and the height restorer, so he could reach the height he should have been, and even more, in a few hours.

The reason for the pain in his body? The fact that he was going through rapid bone growth, which normally took a few years, not a few hours, made him feel better. No painkiller could relieve his pain, as it would weaken the rapid effect of the potion they had managed to give him. So, Alistair had to be patient. His eyesight had also been corrected, which was a relief; he couldn't stand wearing glasses.

He had also been told that the Horcrux had been removed while he slept, without any after-effects, and the famous scar had finally disappeared for good. If only Dumbledore had thought to ask the goblins for help, instead of believing that Harry Potter would have to sacrifice himself for others, causing far too many deaths in the end for nothing.

Alistair had also thought to ask the headmaster if it was possible to change his name, explaining that all the suffering he had experienced because of his name weighed on their hearts, and he wanted to make a fresh start. The Headmaster had assured him that once he had passed the ring tests, he would be able to change his name to the name of one or more lordships that accepted him.

Alistair couldn't see himself being called Harry, when to him, he was Alistair and fully intended to remain so, at least to preserve a part of himself in this new world. Once back in the office, Headmaster Ragnok lined up the four cases containing the lordship rings. He started with the Peverell ring, which hadn't been taken out for a century. They were surprised that once the case was opened, before Alistair could even pick it up and put it on, it leaped out of the case and went straight onto Alistair's chosen finger, immediately fitting perfectly.

"I've never seen a Lordship ring do that! It was as if it had been waiting for you for a long time, Lord Peverell. Let's try the others, shall we?" the bank manager said in a weak voice, still clearly in shock.

Alistair had no problem with the Lordships of Ravenclaw and Slytherin, who accepted it easily, though not as spectacularly as the Peverell ring. Alistair feared he wouldn't be able to obtain the Black Lordship, as he had plans if he did, including disowning and disowning Bellatrix Lestrange, Narcissa Malfoy, Adromeda Tonks, and Sirius Black.

It would surprise many fans if he wanted to remove him from the Black line and lose his access to the bloodline's magic. But you see, Alistair held a grudge against the fact that the only reason Black had gotten out of prison was to get revenge on Pettigrew, whom he'd seen in a photo with the Weasleys, not for Harry, especially since he'd had the ability to do so long before that.

But his godson's well-being had never been his priority. And there was also the fact that he hated tyrants, bullies, and sexual abusers of any kind. And yes, he considered the "prank" they'd played on Snape in his fifth year to be sexual assault, nothing less.

He had no intention of keeping the godfather bond with him, and he wanted nothing to do with Lupin. If it were up to him, he'd send a bounty hunter after the werewolf's ass, but they needed a good defense teacher this year. Then, as for Andromeda, he really had nothing against her, but he couldn't stand Nymphadora, who was a fervent supporter of Dumbledore, and he didn't want one of his future children to be able to claim the lordship, because he intended to destroy it.

And if his plans worked, he wouldn't be there for fifth year; he'd be at another school. He wasn't going to put up with Umbridge, no thank you. He also couldn't leave before then, because he was certain that if the Triwizard Tournament took place during fourth year, his name would come out of the Goblet whether he was there or not, so he might as well be there. But he also wasn't going to stay with Gryffindors. Heads would eventually roll. He couldn't stand stupidity, and Gryffindor House was full of idiots.

Alistair took a deep breath before taking the Lordship Black ring and putting it on. At first, it shrank as if trying to adjust, then returned to its original shape. It did this several times, making Alistair worry that he wouldn't get it. But after several back-and-forths, it finally adjusted like the others and stayed. Alistair released the breath he hadn't known he was holding in anticipation. Both he and Ragnok were relieved at the results.

"Good, now that you have been accepted by all the lordships, we must go through the name change you wish to make before proceeding. By what name do you wish to be known from now on?" the Goblin King asked diplomatically.

"I wish from now on, in the eyes of Lady Magic, to be called Alistair Hadrian Peverell." Alistair formally stated, sensing the magic in the air as his request was granted and the change was written into the official parchments by Lady Magic herself.

"Well, Lord Black-Peverell-Ravenclaw-Slytherin, what do you wish to do first?" the Headmaster continued.

"Just Lord Peverell for now. I'm not Albus Dumbledore, who demands that everyone use his name. My first act as Lord Black is this. I, Alistair Hadrian Peverell, Lord Black, do hereby disown and disown from the family the following persons: Bellatrix Lestrange née Black and her issue, Narcissa Malfoy née Black and her issue, Andromeda Tonks née Black and her issue, and Sirius Black and his issue, so be it." Alistair exclaimed loudly as magic pulsed strongly in the office as Lady Magic fulfilled her request. Then, suddenly, the intense pressure disappeared, lightening the room.

A few places outside the bank

A prisoner in Azkaban screamed in pain as her family magic was ripped from her. The weakness of her body, but more importantly, her heart, got the better of her, and she died on the cold prison floor. A woman and her daughter, shopping in Diagon Alley, doubled over as well from the loss of Black magic, the young girl losing her candy-pink hair in favor of her father's sandy color.

She also lost several inches in height, reaching her actual size. The first Metamorphmagus of the Black line in 5 generations was no more. Lady Malfoy and her son suffered the same fate as the others, losing some of their magic, making them magically weaker. And finally, a certain black dog lay on the ground in pain in the forest where he was hiding, returning to human form for the duration of the loss of magic.

He didn't understand what was happening to him, becoming even weaker than he was originally, but he had to continue, find the traitor and kill him at all costs. After the pain, it took him several hours to be able to return to his Animagus form.

Back to Gringotts Bank

"You wanted to ensure that only your descendants could inherit?" Ragnok asked curiously. Alistair smirked.

"No, I'm ending the entire Black line. I want the entire Black vaults transferred to the Peverell vaults, minus the paintings I want destroyed. Then, I want all Black properties transferred to my name as the home of the Peverell line. Once that's done, I want the Black vaults closed. The Black family's madness ends now; it has caused far too much damage and there is too much inbreeding for the line to be salvageable." Alistair replied, making the goblin smile, understanding the wizard's bloodlust.

"I understand, and it will be done immediately. Simply sign here, and the properties will be in your name; the transfer of the vaults will also be instantaneous." Ragnok added, handing Alistair two parchments for him to sign. He signed them with the blood quill used to sign such documents. The parchments disappeared once signed, signifying that everything was complete.

"I, Alistair Hadrian Peverell, declare the Black line completely extinct and thus end the claim to the Black lordship. By Lady Magic, so be it." Alistair formally declared again, seeing and feeling the Black line ring crumble to dust. He suspected the Wizengamot seat would disappear from the records. Poor Lord Malfoy, who thought he could be regent of the Black seat in his son's place. He was going to be terribly disappointed.

"Next, I want all Potter assets transferred to the Peverell vaults?" Alistair demanded. Ragnok handed him two more parchments to sign, and like the first, they disappeared once signed.

"I, Alistair Hadrian Peverell, declare the Potter line extinguished. I renounce my membership in the Potter line, but keep within me the blood of the Peverell line. By Lady Magic, so be it." Alistair said, the magic thickening in the study again as Lady Magic worked again. Alistair felt his skin prickle and a shiver ran through his scalp. Ragnok took a mirror from one of his drawers and held it up before Alistair to examine himself.

"It seems you've lost your typical Potter hair, but you've kept your original eye color," the headmaster told the wizard. Alistair liked what he saw. In his old body, he'd had ash-blonde hair; now it was light golden brown, which he liked very much. It was closer to his old hair color, so he felt more like himself.

"I like it; it adds more character, especially since I now have a slightly squarer, more masculine jawline, which will complement my new height. Having done that, I read about a mansion in London, 12 Grimmauld Place, on the Black estate's list of transferred properties. I want the mansion completely renovated, both inside and out. I want it to become a large two-story house. I want four bedrooms on the second floor, each with a full bathroom, no wallpaper, pale colors such as white, pale gray, ice blue, pale green, and pale yellow. I want the library to have full-height bookcases made of white oak. All floors except the kitchen and bathrooms should be pale maple. For the kitchen and bathrooms, I want pale gray tiles."

"I want all the windows to be made larger." I want the ground floor to have a modern open-plan design. For the furniture, the minimalist Scandinavian style is what suits me. I also want all the paintings removed and destroyed. If there are any house elves left, which I would be surprised about, I want them killed, I'm not taking any chances with my safety. In the basement, I want one room to be for the house elves with the best bedding possible and that it is as comfortable as possible and the rest of the basement must be converted into a complete training room, as much for practicing spells, as for physical training. For the exterior, I want the roof to be black tin and the walls to be white bricks that overlap."

"I want the front and back porches to be made of cherry wood and I want the grounds to be covered with a carpet of clover, not grass. Once the work is finished, I want the best protections installed, allowing me to use magic inside without being detected by the Ministry, and I want a fidelity bond made with me as secret keeper. Once we've figured out what I need, we'll discuss the price, not before then, please. How quickly can the manor be ready?" finished Alistair, taking a sip from the glass of water brought to him while he explained what he wanted.

"With magic, two days at the most. I like your ideas and the fact that you're not afraid to step into the twentieth century. Wizards are so stuck in the old days that they don't evolve. What do you want to do next?" continued the bank manager. "Perfect, then I want a list of private instructors for martial arts, but also bladed combat. A wizard shouldn't rely solely on his wand, especially if he loses it during a fight. If it's a matter of life or death, I prefer to be prepared for every eventuality."

"I also want a list of professional hitmen who agree to work anonymously, I don't want the person I hire to know who I am. I also want to make a withdrawal from the vaults, I have a lot of errands to run before nightfall and find a place to sleep for the next two days. I also want a list of all the goblin-forged weapons and jewelry in all the vaults." The young Lord asked. Ragnok found the last request strange, but summoned the requested list with a snap of his fingers. Alistair analyzed it carefully. He wanted to keep four daggers with silver pommels and sapphire decorations. He wrapped a quill around them and gave the list to Ragnok.

"I know that originally, when you allowed wizards to possess your jewelry or weapons, it was with the agreement that they would be returned to you upon the owner's death. Unfortunately, few wizards and witches took this into account and jealously kept them in their families, leaving them as inheritances, never returning them. With the permission of the goblin nation and an oath by Lady Magic that they would be returned to you upon my death, I would like to keep the four daggers I circled. The rest, I want you to recover what is rightfully yours." Said Alistair and saw tears welling up in the goblin's eyes.

The list was very long and many were priceless jewels and weapons, Ragnok could not believe that so many of their precious possessions were returned to them so suddenly, by a young wizard who, until more than two years ago, knew nothing of the wizarding world. King Ragnok stood in his chair, his right arm crossed over his chest, his back straight and proud.

"I, Ragnok, King of the Goblins, accept the return of the long-lost goblin goods. On behalf of myself and my nation, you have my sincere thanks. You are hereby, Alistair Hadrian Peverell, deemed a Friend of the Goblin Nation. Should there be war, our warriors will fight at your side. Consider also his daggers a gift for the bond we forge today, which you may pass on to your descendants, as a symbol of the bond that unites us. By Lady Magic, so be it. What you have just returned to us, Lord Peverell, is worth more than what you ask in return. There is no debt between us. I will also be the one to personally manage your coffers." Ragnok declared solemnly, and Lady Magic acted upon his command once again, making Alistair and the Goblin King shine gold, a symbol of the bond that now united the wizard with the goblin nation.

"Thank you, King Ragnok, for this honor you have bestowed upon me. I will cherish this bond all my life, and my magic is yours should you ever need it. I still have many things to do; I'd like to withdraw some money and go out and do any shopping I need. By any chance, do you know of a wandmaker who isn't Ollivander? When I got my wand, he told me it was a twin of Voldemort's, so I'm afraid she only chose me because of the Horcrux, and if that's the case, then it won't work well for me anymore. But I can't go back to Ollivander for another wand; Dumbledore would know that." said the young Lord as he stood up, stretching his legs at the same time after sitting for so long.

"There is a wandmaker, but he's in Knockturn Alley. However, he's superior to Ollivander because he makes custom wands. Don't worry about Voldemort, we'll take care of him and his Horcruxes. He'll be finished before summer dies. This is a mission for warriors, take the time to be a child for once, Lord Peverell." The Goblin King finished.

Alistair left the bank with a smile on his face. Without the Potter glasses, scars, and hair that were characteristic of the Potters, he was practically a stranger. The first place to go was wands. He intended to have two, one sheathed on his arm and the other on his ankle made of dragonhide. Gathering courage, he entered the Alley and went to the shop with Ragnok's instructions.

He emerged an hour later with two wands: one cherry wood, 12 inches long with a storm kitsune hair, and the other ebony, 12 inches long with a thestral mane hair. Two powerful wands for a new wizard like Alistair, who had been given a boost in his newly acquired magic by the disappearance of the Horcrux.

He had his cherrywood wand in a Hebridean Black tortoiseshell sheath on his forearm, and the other was at his ankle in a Norwegian Crested tortoiseshell sheath. He then returned to Diagon Alley to the trunk shop. He needed a better quality trunk than the one he currently had, with the best possible protection. He chose a trunk with five compartments, including a portable greenhouse and a bookcase; he had much to learn. It was black with silver clasps and the initials A.H.P. in silver on it.

He would sort through the original trunk once he was in his room at the Leaky Cauldron. He then went to the best boutique for high-end clothing. There, he requested a complete wardrobe, but he specified what he wanted, drawing his requests from the fashion he had known for the years between 2010 and 2023. He liked clean trousers and shirts, but he also liked jeans and T-shirts.

He appreciated a good, well-cut suit, so he ordered three that had spells that would allow the clothes to grow with him, since he would be growing even more in the next few hours. He also ordered boxers, stockings, and pajamas made of comfortable cotton. The tailor had asked him if he would make his uniform for the coming year, but Alistair refused to wear outdated wizarding robes.

He then explained to the tailor what Muggle private school uniforms looked like, which consisted of clean black trousers, a white shirt, a blazer with the school crest, and a standard tie, except that he requested three sapphire blue and bronze ties, as he planned to file an appeal.

While he'd been waiting for his wands, Alistair had gone to a nearby secondhand bookshop and found an old copy of the Hogwarts charter, which said that if a student no longer felt the house they'd been sorted into in their first year was right for them, they could appeal. They weren't going to stay with the red and golds; they'd end up killing someone. Same with the Hufflepuffs who lived in the Care Bears universe.

He planned to enter Ravenclaw where he would have peace and quiet, but could also protect Luna from being bullied. The tailor was excited at the idea of making such a uniform, and Alistair added that it should have the Hogwarts crest on it. Alistair was also going to change the courses Harry had originally chosen; they were useless, and he didn't plan on getting the book Hagrid was proposing for his class.

He was going to add in the letter that he was requesting an appeal, and therefore, he was dropping Quidditch to focus on his studies. He knew the Headmaster would be against the appeal, but he was counting on the Deputy Headmistress to remind him of the Hogwarts charter that allowed it. Once his clothes were ready, he put them in his new trunk and then went to the bookstore.

He needed to pick up books on advanced defensive spells, Occlumency, how to become an Animagus, and wizarding traditions and customs. He even found a book explaining to Muggle-borns that wizards could get pregnant just as easily as women. Doing so made Alistair smile, feeling relieved by this fact, since this wasn't information that had been given about the Harry Potter universe.

He was gay, after all, and wanted children of his own flesh without having to touch a woman. This solved his problem. He would have a consort. He didn't take any more books, as he would have to wait for the supply list to buy the rest. The day was drawing to a close, but he decided to head to the magical menagerie. To him, an owl wasn't really a pet; he wanted one he could cuddle and stroke.

He entered the shop and simply let his magic guide him. He finally stopped in front of a cage containing a young fox cub with beautiful aqua eyes, something he'd never seen in a fox. It was surely magical. The cub approached the bars of its cage and sniffed at his hand before pressing itself against Alistair's fingers, whining.

Alistair smiled and told the salesman he would take the little fox cub, along with the necessary food and the best cage for it. He called the little Mischief and quickly discovered that he had formed a familiar bond with it. He could feel the contentment coming from his new friend, and it made him smile. He finally made his way to the Leaky Cauldron where he paid for a two-day room while the goblins finished the house.

Once settled in, he sorted through the old trunk, snapping the holly wand in half since it was useless, then snapping the Nimbus 2000 in half, saving it for a bonfire later. He left in the old trunk the old clothes, Mrs. Weasley's itchy sweaters, the cloaks, the hat, and the second-hand gloves that Harry had apparently taken so as not to arouse Ronald's jealousy. He also left the broken wand and the broken broom. He carefully placed the rest of his belongings in his new trunk.

Alistair was a very tidy person by nature, and everything had to be in its place. He valued decorum and good manners, and respected people who showed him respect. Rude people disgusted him, and he stayed away from them as much as possible. Granger's know-it-all behavior irked him to no end. He didn't think he could pretend to be friends with them.

When he was finished tidying up, he analyzed what he needed to buy. He didn't want to wear a cloak; it was so old-fashioned. He was going to go into the Muggle world and buy a good, warm winter coat, with a good hat, gloves, and scarf. He was also going to buy good-quality, warm winter boots. He was also going to buy various fountain pens with ink included; he refused to use a real quill, which was more of a mess than anything else.

He was also going to buy notebooks and pencils so he could write his homework and easily revise it before writing it out in ink. He also thought about stocking up on art supplies; he particularly loved drawing and was eager to get back to it. Once his mental list was made, he grabbed the shower products he had purchased and went to shower to relieve the muscle tension he was still experiencing due to the accelerated growth he was experiencing.

According to the healer, the potion would finish working by late evening. He had already surpassed the standard height for a young boy of almost 13, and he still seemed to be growing, so much the better. Soon, he would begin settling into his new home and begin a good workout to sculpt his body and get him back in shape. He happily put on his cotton pajamas, placing what he had been wearing in the old trunk.

Then, he took out his wand and cast the spell he had learned to know for this moment. He threw an incendio at the trunk, which instantly caught fire. He watched as Harry Potter's relics burned to new life. Once the trunk was reduced to ashes, he went to the small desk in the bedroom and wrote a letter for the Deputy Headmistress.

Dear Professor McGonagall,

I'm writing to you about the optional courses I chose for third year. Unfortunately, I made my choices based on what my friend Ron was going to choose: easy courses. But I realized I made a mistake by choosing easy courses instead of courses that could be useful for my future. I therefore wish to replace my course choices, which were Divination and Care of Magical Creatures, with Ancient Runes and Healing.

I also want to inform you that I wish to appeal. With what happened last year, I no longer feel that I belong among the Gryffindors; I no longer feel that this house is right for me. According to the Hogwarts charter, I have the right to appeal. Which brings me to another point: I am withdrawing from the Quidditch team as a Seeker. I prefer to focus on my studies instead of flying uselessly through the air. I greatly appreciated the opportunity you gave me, but I no longer wish to play.

Sincerely,

Alistair Hadrian Peverell, formerly Harry James Potter.

Alistair smiled, imagining the Deputy Headmistress's face upon seeing the name change, but especially the request. He placed the letter in the envelope and got up to go downstairs and send it via an owl from the pub, but was surprised to see the snowy owl on the windowsill, clearly waiting. He approached quietly and smiled at it, gently stroking its head affectionately.

"Hey, girl, you've found me, I'm happy. We have a new member of the family, it's Mischief," the young man introduced, pointing to the sleeping fox cub on the bed. Hedwig looked at him for a moment, as if analyzing the newcomer, then hooted softly in excitement so as not to wake the creature.

"I'm glad to see you're accepting it. I need you to take this letter to Professor McGonagall for me, please. You'd be doing me a great favor, and when you get back, I'll have the best treats for you." Alistair said, and the owl hopped with joy before flying off, taking the letter and flying to Hogwarts.

*Everything's finally coming together. This story will have a better ending than the one I read, and it's a chance for a new life for me.* Alistair thought to himself, gazing up at the stars in the night.
