Chapter Text

10:00am Second Day

_

Mukuro Ikusaba (as Junko Enoshima)

_

“Spin the bottle? Really?”

I was completely uninterested. It was already the second day and it seemed these twerps were mostly unaffected by the harrowing situation my lovely sister and I had put them in…but then I was unsure how she wanted to proceed.

No one was adequately motivated to kill each other…and I’ve seen a bit of canoodling going on between some of them…

What are you planning sis?

*AHEM*

She was eagerly awaiting my response, with those quiet dark blue eyes, smile like a pampered cat. Ugh.

“SPIN the BOTTLE? Please, why? Who could care? What lamebrain wants to-“

*sniff sniff*

She whimpered at my rejection and for  some reason it…affected me. Emotions were beneath me. I needed to be steeled against this, for when they were a mangled mess before my feet, I would not dare shed a tear.

“I’m sorry I just…I wanted you to come and maybe hang out…with the other girls too. Just to get to know each other more. We’re all in this weird situation and *sniff* I thought a change of pace would be good…s’all.”

That doe-eyed stare she gave me was a bit unnerving to one so truly merciless.

Getting sloppy.

I looked up, away from her soft saddening face and sighed deeply.

“…Fine. Whatever…when? Whose room?”

Instantly, she lit up like a Christmas tree and jumped about in glee.

“YAAAY! I’m so glad! Please, come by my room around 6:30 tonight! Just the girls~ok?”

I looked a bit miffed at her heel turn change but nonetheless accepted.

Silly girl.

Celestia

_

“Hmmm…spin the bottle? Hmm. Will you be playing for anything?”

Her silly confused face made me chuckle softly…truly a ditz, but a pretty ditz all the same.

“Uuummm…no, no I was just thinking of…getting to know each other more. My band used to play it back when we were together…”

Hmmm. She wants to get to know me. Hehe.

“Flattery will get you everywhere…Mai-zono-san, was it?”

How bashful she became at such a simple utterance of her name. She held one of her long blue locks in her delicate hands.

“Hmmm~please just call me Sa-Sayaka-san, um, Celestia-san.”

I was, to say the least, amused by her shy exterior.

“And to you, please call me Celeste. I will join you. Time?”

She beamed at my acceptance of her proposal.

“6:30 tonight. Just the girls. My room.”

Such a cute little tart. I smiled my faux smile…perhaps not as facetious as usual.

“Just the gals. See you then, Sayaka~san.”

Asahina

“SPIN THE BOTTLE? Sure! What time?”

She looked at me, matching my enthusiasm, her cute cheeks red a bit as she stared back at me, grinning all the while.

“I knew you’d say that!”

She was so cute. I’d love to spot her a swim if we had time.

“How?”

Her face went stark for a second.

“I’m psychic.”

And just as quickly turned silly once more.

“Ha! Just kidding! Come 6:30 tonight. My room. Just the girls in the group, ok?”

I held my hand out for a high five and she hesitated, confused for a sec…but figured it out and slapped my palm with vigor.

“Yeah! HIGH FIVE!”

She waved as she skipped off and I placed my hands on my hips, watching her leave so content.

Such a sweet girl.

“S-spin the bottle? Who would want to do something so a-asinine? What are you 5? And a half? Geez, that’s an insult to 5 1/2 year olds r-really…”

Her dumbfounded pitiful face irked me and I felt like just leaving her…but she was like a pathetic mouse. A bit of me felt some measure of guilt…though I’d never say it.

“Oh. Oh, o…ok i’m sorry for-for bothering you…*sniff*.”

Oh now she’s guilt tripping me?! Bitch! She’s just…ugh, all I have to do is show up and then I can leave a bit into it. It’s just her. I…she looks like she’d kill herself if I outright refused.

Ugh.

“Ok, f-fine. Where?”

Like a light she arose from her stupor and showed no sign of the sorrow once upon her.

Crocodile tears, always.

“My room~! 6:30 tonight~just the girls ok?”

I blushed wholly embarrassed she’d be so bold as to invite a bunch of girls to her room before nighttime.

“Agh! N-no I didn’t agree to that! I’m not about to be part of some lezzy menage-a-trois you got c-cooked up!”

She matched my blush now, hurt evident on her face.

“No, No! No, it’s not like that! It’s like…like, a sleepover, without the sleep! Why…wh…it’s…I just wanted to get to know everyone better, s’all. Just…girl talk. *sniff sniff*.”

This wasn’t an act this time. She seemed pretty genuine. Ugh…making me regret my speech…bitch…fine.

“…o-ok.”

She didn’t smile up at me but nodded and walked away.

I clenched my fist, annoyed part of me wanted to apologize to her.

But I just turned, just the same.

I saw Maizono-san sniffling as she was softly moving by her shoulder only, rubbing on the wall as she walked uneven.

It teared at me. I rushed to her to see what’s wrong.

“Maizono-san! Are you ok?!” I exclaimed, holding her hand delicately.

Though my harsh exterior often scared off potential friends, she seemed willing to my help. A comforting thought, to be sure.

“It’s ok. It’s just *sniff* I just wanted everybody in our circle to get to know each other more. I didn’t think it’d be so…so…I didn’t think I guess.”

Her sad form held up by me needed to be returned to its regular jovial self. As soon as possible.

“Please, do not doubt yourself. Not even for a minute. What did you want to do with us?”

She cried a bit as I held her up gently, avoiding the wall as a support and instead opting her back on her own two feet.

“Sp-spin the bottle *sniff*.”

A harmless game really. Not one I would partake in of my own volition normally, but given our circumstances, such an innocent gesture should not be met with scorn.

Someone must’ve jeered at the proposition, unfairly hurting her.

I would not repeat such transgressions.

“Spin the bottle. Of course. When would you like to play?”

She looked up at my face, kind and soft, tears drying by her porcelain cheeks.

“6-6:30 *sniff* tonight. My room. Us girls *sniff* only.”

I radiated positive vibes deep within me, dispersing the dark thoughts that may permeating her mind.

An individual so fragile needed protection in this pickle we were all in.

“See you then, Maizono-san.”

I gently pushed her along her way and it seemed she regained footing, standing once more on her feet.

“…”

“Um?”

“…”

“I mean…I can understand if you’re busy…I’m sorry for bothering y-“

“What time?”

!

“I reiterate, what time?”

“Um, uh 6:30 t-tonight. M-my room. Just the girls.”

“…Understood.”

Chihiro

“I-I’ve never played that.”

Her exuberance overwhelmed me. I shrunk away just at how bright she was as a person.

“Oh it’s easy! Come by my room at 6:30 tonight and I’ll show you. Just the girls ok?”

Shyly, I simply nodded…unable to even muster anymore than that response.

“Yay! See you then, Fujisaki-san!”

Just the girls…I felt like I’d already be ostracized if they knew…

This double life…weighed even heavier now.

Sayaka

_

That’s everybody!

I hope we can make some real head way here. Whatever happens, happens. Let’s get it all out. We all need to figure out how to keep sane in this absolutely insane situation.

All so pretty. All so radiant. Even the ones who rebuffed me at first…I feel a kinship coming on. Maybe more…hopefully more with her…

And…and…if I get a chance…

I’ll take it.

Junko Enoshima

_

Well, little raindrop. You think you’re going to just rile up all our gals and sing kumbaya? Make all the bad thoughts go away with your combined girl power?

Survival of the sisters. A high school sorority in the making before my very eyes.

How droll.

Though…hmmm…perhaps, if I…

Yes.

YES.

Yes, my little blue gumdrop.

Play your gay little heart away.

You’ll be at my heel before the end of the day~. Hehe.
