Chapter 1: "Are you jealous, Gen?"

Chapter Text

Hoshina Soshiro knew he was being childish, manipulative, and a bit ridiculous, but his pride prevented him from stopping once he had started. In his defense, everything escalated without him being fully aware of the situation he was in and how he had inadvertently dragged Kafka into his games and private life.

The first time he realized what was happening, he was training with Hibino, as he had promised, and due to the limited time they had, Soshiro spent hour after hour taking the still-weak blows from the older man, encouraging him to continue, and occasionally throwing a punch or making a move with just a bit of his strength to annoy him. This was because Kafka was prone to getting excited when he landed a few good hits in a row, and Soshiro couldn't resist taking advantage of how weak he still was. In his defense, Kafka was very loud when he got excited, and his proud face drove him a little crazy—in a good way, seriously.

Anyway, it was during one of those intervals when Soshiro was putting Hibino in his place that everything started to make sense to him. While he was applying a hold on the older man and mocking how weak he still was, Narumi entered the room, his initial expression one of anger, complete with a fleeting pout that he quickly concealed as he started talking to them with his typical tired and annoyed look, as if both men were a bother.

"What are you doing here so late?" he asked, as if it wasn't obvious.

"Vice-Captain Hoshina is training me," Kafka responded happily, unfazed by the rudeness of the First Division Captain.

"Tomorrow you have a lot of things waiting for you, Hibino Kafka, you need to rest." That was all he said.

As if he remembered something very important on his schedule for tomorrow, Kafka nodded and prepared to say goodbye to both of them. Once he left the training room, Soshiro, who hadn't spoken more than to say goodbye to Kafka, resumed the conversation before Narumi could leave the room.

"I didn't know you cared so much about your subordinates' rest," he said with a mischievous smile, the kind that he knew irritated Gen greatly.

"Don't exaggerate, bowl-cut, it's just that it would be annoying to deal with a tired Hibino after spending the whole afternoon playing with you." He put his hands in his pockets and looked at him with a frown.
That only encouraged Hoshina to tease him more.

"We were training, not playing," he mentioned as he stood up and dusted himself off.

"That's not what it looked like when I came in," commented the First Division Captain, and Hoshina's face lit up, immediately understanding what was happening. Loving Narumi's annoyed look, he continued talking as if nothing had happened.

"Well, you know, what’s a good training session without a bit of fun?" he said, and oh, the expression on Narumi's face, a mix of anger and incredulity, drove him crazy. "Kafka is a lot of fun anyway. Training with him makes time fly," he said, looking directly at him with a grin like the Cheshire Cat.

This time, Narumi wasn't looking at him, so thinking he wouldn't fall into his games, he started heading toward the exit. Just as he reached out to open the door, his hand was brusquely grabbed by Gen, who then pushed him directly against the wall, cornering him with his body. And although both knew that Hoshina could break free if he wanted to, he remained motionless, with a small smile on his face. When Narumi saw it, his expression of anger only grew.

"Don't play with me, Soshiro."

That was all he said before planting a strong kiss full of saliva and teeth, something the other didn't have much time to respond to, since, unexpectedly, the First Division Captain grabbed his butt, squeezing it hard over the fabric of his pants, and causing him to open his mouth in surprise, allowing the other to slip his tongue in and start exploring as if there were no tomorrow. In a quick move, Hoshina wrapped his legs around the taller man and began kissing him with the same eagerness, savoring and enjoying the touches he was giving him all over his body. His hands were in the black-and-white-haired man's hair, one hand holding him, and the other roaming every inch of his body. Knowing where to touch, it wasn't long before he started letting out small gasps, seeking to be closer to the other body. But once they both ran out of breath, they separated just a few centimeters, and unable to hold back, Hoshina spoke.

"Are you jealous, Gen?" he teased, looking directly at him with an amused face. But as soon as he finished saying those words, the other's grip loosened, almost letting him fall, and with a smug smile that annoyed him greatly, he responded.

"Don't be ridiculous. I told you not to play with me," and this time, the kiss they shared was much shorter, as Narumi stopped it, and as if nothing had happened, he left the vice-captain on the floor and walked out the door.
