Chapter Text
The heat inside their shared office is stifling, but that's nothing to the conflagration sweeping through Robin's body as intoxicating surges of arousal ignite every nerve ending. Her body is on fire as Strike's stubbled jaw grazes against her skin. The rough scrape of his beard contrasting deliciously with the soft caress of his lips as he carries out his tender assault.
"I thought we agreed we wouldn't do this here," Robin manages to gasp as Strike's mouth works its way lazily across the hinge of her jaw.
"Mmmm, sorry. (Although he sounds anything but)! "Couldn't resist... I can't stop thinking about you," Strike groans as Robin's fingers weave their way into his thick, dark hair. Her skin flushed pink as she recalls what had happened between them last night in Strike's bed.
"How did you get rid of Pat?"
"I told her I was thirsty, and we're out of tea, so she offered to get some," Strike mumbles, nuzzling against the base of Robin's throat, making her knees buckle out from beneath her. However, luckily the press of Strike's bulky body trapping her against the desk manages to keep her upright as she clings to him, revelling in the way the muscles in his back ripple beneath her touch.
"But I bought 210 bags yesterday!" Robin frowns, clarity momentarily breaking through desire.
"Strange that. Pat said the same thing, but she couldn't find them," Strike chuckles, pulling away so he can tug his desk drawer open to reveal a pristine cellophane-wrapped box of Yorkshire Tea peaking out from beneath a stack of strategically placed files.
"Cormoran Strike! I never thought you could be so devious or deceitful!" Robin says mock reprovingly, "Poor Pat."
"Yeah, I know. But she didn't seem to mind going and it wasn't a complete lie. I am thirsty," Strike grins, raising one eyebrow suggestively. His eyes smouldering with intent before his face falls out of focus as his lips capture Robin's mouth in another blazing kiss, silencing them both for quite some considerable time.
