Crowley was standing close now, so close to the railing Aziraphale was backed up against, close enough that Aziraphale felt the man’s breath, warm on his cold cheeks, he could see perfect blush-rose lips that hesitated, briefly taken between teeth, before surrendering their release, he could see the tiny droplets of rain clinging to long, dark lashes as Crowley’s eyes fluttered closed, their light extinguished, and then… and then…

 

 

 

A hand danced hesitantly, feather-light, across Aziraphale’s damp and ruddy cheek, and he registered dimly that the hand was trembling, Crowley was trembling, and, oh, oh, he was too.

 

 

Aziraphale’s sharp intake of breath was cut short by the sudden soft, warm press of lips (those lips, oh, those lips) against his own.
