He knew that he was burning, but he couldn't seem to find the release. The fire inside him felt like home. It was as if he were standing at the intersection of two opposing forces, one trying to consume him, the other trying to freeze him solid. And he wasn't sure which one would win.
Bruce didn't seem to like the new version of him, the one that had emerged from the flames. Jason knew that deep down, Bruce cared. He just didn't know how to show it.
Burn, burn, burn, let the fire take hold, Feel the heat, feel the rage, feel the truth unfold.
He couldn't help but wonder what Alfred would say. The old butler had been a constant source of wisdom and guidance. He missed his counsel, missed the reassuring presence. He wished he could ask for his advice on how to move forward, how to find a way to make amends with those he had hurt. Most of all, he wished he could confide in Alfred about the feelings of guilt and responsibility that weighed heavily on his heart.
They had made him feel wanted, needed, loved. But it was all a lie. They had betrayed him in the worst way possible. And now, he was left with nothing but the burning ember of his rage. He wished he could forget them, erase them from his memory, but he knew that wasn't possible.
The thought of Dick brought a small smile to his lips; he couldn't help but wonder what the future held for him and Dick. Had the damage been irreparable? He couldn't deny the fact that he had changed, that they had both changed.
He couldn't help but wonder about his relationship with Tim. It was complicated, to say the least. If he had been able to put the past behind him—the desperation and rage that had consumed him. It seemed like a lifetime ago, but the memory was still raw and painful. He knew that he had done something unforgivable, something that could never be taken back. He wished there was some way to make things right between them, some way to explain his actions and find common ground. But he knew that wasn't possible. The damage had been done, and they would both have to live with the consequences.
Burn, burn, burn, let the ashes fly, In the chaos, in the silence, in the tears we cry.
But he had been wrong. So very, very wrong.
He had trusted them with his life and heart, and they had thrown it all back in his face. They had reduced him to nothing more than a shadow of his former self. He had become stronger, more resilient. He had learned to control the fire inside him, to use it for good instead of letting it consume him. He wasn't the same boy who had once idolized Bruce. He was someone new, someone better.
He wished there was some way to make things right between them, to mend the broken trust and rebuild the bridges they had burned. There were secrets and regrets, feelings and emotions that they hadn't shared. And perhaps that was for the best.
Yet, in the midst of all the chaos and the silence, in the tears they cried and the ashes that flew, he found a glimmer of hope. They had survived against all odds. And in the end, that was what mattered most: their brotherhood.
Jason looked out over the city one last time, the burning fire inside him both a curse and a gift. He knew he had a long way to go, a long road to redemption. But for now, he would let the fire guide him, let it be his beacon in the darkness.
Burn, burn, burn...
And maybe, just maybe, one day, the embers of his rage would cool, and he would find peace in the ashes of his past.
