Chapter Text
July 2024 was like any other, Joe swept his garage in the timely manner as usual. Dust piling in the dust pan, his knees locking as he struggled to resume standing position.
“Dear, would you fetch me a chair”, Joe growled. He hears nothing. A chilling hum of cicadas. “Trumpy Wumpy?”. Still, there was no response.
Despite last night’s vigorous backshots, Joe unlocked his knees with all his might. Standing tall as ever, erect with humility and passion, he ventured through the threshold that separated the gloomy garage and the kitchen. Upon entering the kitchen, Joe noticed a note plastered to the fridge.
“I let the beast take hold of me last night… that can never happen again… smooches, your Donald xo”
Joe’s heart shattered like glass, piercing his arteries, despite recovery in medical facilities, pain like this would never heal. Joe shared a special bond with Donald, something he had never even seen a glimpse of in his past affairs. Perhaps, it was love. With Donald’s note in his hand, Joe began to weep, not in despair, but in disappointment. He could never have the man he loved, for the note reminded him that not even the smallest corner of Donald’s heart was reserved for Joe’s love. In Joe’s heart, however, existed a monument dedicated to his love for Donald. It was love alone, that fuelled Joe’s heart. With this realisation Joe knew it he couldn’t allow the love that kept him alive to diminish. He wouldn’t let it. Bolting into the garage Joe searched for his bicycle. Relentless searching and scathing through the dust left him panting and hopeless. He could not seem to find ths two wheeled freind of his. In the midst of this despair, like a streak of light at the end of a tunnel, was a tricycle. Joe knew the odds, but for love he was willing to risk it. WIth urgency he tore the tricycle from where it hung proudly amongst his golf clubs. Steadying himself with a deep breath Joe lefpt off his ankles, abonding his slippers and landing his toosh onto the cushioned seat of the tricycle. With each leg peddling with purpose, Joe’s movement stimulated the singular wheel of the tricycle to unleash its wheel abilties. Astounded by the endless discoveries of the triucycle, Joe left out a chuckle of relief, Donald and Joe might just have a shot at it. A shot at love. If Joe continued at this pace, he’d arrive at the rally and proclaim his undying love for Donald.
