“Hi,” Kenma greeted the camera, his lips curled up in a small smile. “You’ll never believe what we’re doing.”
“It’s definitely not going to be in the video title.” Shoyo chimed in, appearing in frame just to press a kiss to Kenma’s cheek before he disappeared once more.
“Definitely not,” Kenma agreed, his smile slightly bigger now. “We’re roadtripping. To Sendai, to see Shoyo’s family. But we’re in Osaka so, we might as well see some cool things on our trip instead of wasting money on a place ticket.”
“We’re doing this a little weird. We’re taking ages on the way there, then driving back in one stretch. It’s like… ten hours?” Shoyo said from behind the camera and Kenma nodded.
“Yeah. We’re going to see some friends along the way too.” Kenma added.
“Roadtrip vlog series!” Shoyo cheered.

“So, what’s our first stop, Kenma?” Shoyo asked, drumming his fingers on the steering wheel, humming along to a song playing softly on the radio in the background.
“We’re going to the deer park in Nara because despite living less than an hour from Nara, we’ve never been.”
“We’re going to see deer!” Shoyo cheered excitedly, taking his hands off the wheel momentarily to celebrate before he put them back. “I’m so excited!”
“Deer!”

“I think Shoyo’s having a fun time,” Kenma said from behind the camera, his voice laced with amusement. The camera was facing Shoyo, who was grinning widely as he pet a deer in the middle of the park. “He looks the prettiest when he’s smiling like this.”
“Kenma, come pet this little guy!” Shoyo waved him over and the footage cut off abruptly.

“Where to next, Shoyo?” Kenma asked, filming himself and Shoyo in the same frame. Shoyo is back behind the wheel now and the roads are a blur outside the window.
“Kyoto!” Shoyo beamed, sparing a glance at the camera, eyes bright. “They have so many cool places.”
“Neither of us have been.” Kenma informed the camera.
“To be fair, I lived really far from all this.”
“And I never left my house, much less Tokyo.”
“And we also haven’t had much free time since we moved to Osaka,” Shoyo giggled. “But! We’re making the best of this time off now.”
“We’d be here for days if we visited everywhere so we asked around and got a very shortened list of some places to visit. We’re staying the night before we drive to Nagoya tomorrow.”
“Kenma, it’s so pretty!” Shoyo said in a low voice as him and Kenma walked up to a castle.
“We’re at Nijo castle now.” Kenma said to the camera, holding it so him and Shoyo were both in the frame, their intertwined hands barely visible. Then, he turned the camera to show them approaching a large gate.
The camera followed Shoyo as he walked around a courtyard before a large Japanese castle, looking around in awe. The decorations were gilded gold and black while the castle itself shone in the sun, its white walls glowing.
“He’s impressed.” Kenma’s voice whispered behind the camera, zooming in on Shoyo’s gaping mouth and wide eyes. As though he heard him, the orange haired man whipped his head in Kenma’s direction and gestured for him to approach.
“Kenma! Come look!”
“Coming –” And the footage cuts off.

“Hungry?” Kenma asked Shoyo as they walked back to the car, their hands swinging between them.
“Kind of.” Shoyo admitted.
“We can go to Nishiki market for lunch if you want.”
“Sounds like a plan!”
The next bit of the footage shows them both walking through a crowded market, followed by various clips of them trying food from different stands. They had some delicious looking yakitori and then shared a little box of sushi together, splitting it half-and-half and Shoyo delighted in feeding some of it to Kenma who was filming them. They finished off with some taiyaki and picked up some strawberry mochi for later.

“I have the best boyfriend ever,” Kenma said, his voice slightly muffled and the camera at an odd angle. There was a huff of a laugh from Shoyo. “It’s true. Look.” The camera lifted to show Kenma was on Shoyo’s back, the professional volleyball player giving him a piggyback ride.
“You said you were tired; I couldn’t let you walk.” Shoyo said, amused.
“And now he’s carrying me.”
“And now I’m carrying him,” Shoyo nodded. “We’re going to Fushimi Inari-Taisha. The famous place with the red gate archways!”
“Mhm. Then I think we’re going to skip out on Kinkakuji temple and Kiyomizu-dera temple because we’re both tired.” Kenma sighed.
“We can rest up at the hotel then go grab dinner tonight.” Shoyo suggested.
“That’d be nice.”

“Hotel room tour,” Kenma mumbled, the camera facing the door of the hotel room. “Super quick though because we’re going out for dinner, which I will not be filming.”
He swung the camera around to show a short hallway with a door to the side from which light was spilling. Kenma walked forward to the door and showed the bathroom, then pointed it at the mirror inside the bathroom and waved.
“That’s the bathroom. This is the bedroom,” He walked back into the hallway and continued to show the bedroom. There was a large bed pushed up against the wall and a TV right opposite it. Beneath the TV was a cabinet and a mini fridge and there was a cupboard along one of the walls. Directly opposite the hallway was a large pair of sliding doors. “Those doors lead to the balcony.”
“Oh, are you filming?” Shoyo walked in from the balcony and shut the doors behind him. “Hi.” He waved.
“Yeah, just giving a room tour. Ready to go?”
“Mhm.” Shoyo was dressed in some slacks and a shirt, casual and not too formal.
“Bye chat. See you next video.”
