Work Text:
Dear Mizi,
I’ve always known I’d die before you. I’ve known since you first stepped inside the pod. Your eyes were shining, and there was a warmth to you that I never knew before.
I thought the world was cold. I knew the world was cold. It is unforgiving. It was all the world had to offer to me. Until I met you. You brought warmth to my life; you shone bright, illuminating my path. I did not need any sun because you were greater than any star in the galaxy.
All of the moments we spent together I cherished. I remember we were stargazing once, hand in hand, the grass damp from the rain. You were mesmerizing. None of the stars in the sky could compete with your brilliance.
I think I’ve always loved you. But during that moment, I realized how much you meant to me. You are the happiness in my life. I didn’t know what I’d do without you.
I’m sorry I never admitted it out loud. I think, despite that, you knew I loved you. I would die over and over again just to see you smile again.
I’m sorry for leaving you. I’ve made up my mind to sacrifice myself.
Love, Sua
