Wine and Line

Work Text:

He took me inside when the stars shone the brightest and the wind blew the coldest. His room was the very personification of Sylus himself. One corner was dominated by towering bookshelves that reached the ceiling, filled with ancient tomes and more modern literature alike. Each book seemed meticulously placed, as if part of an unspoken story waiting to be unraveled.

In another corner, a sleek, polished bar gleamed under the soft light. Crystal decanters filled with aged wines and rare spirits caught the dim glow of the room, inviting indulgence. Beside it, a vintage vinyl record player sat proudly, accompanied by an eclectic collection of records.

His massive bed, its dark wooden frame carved with intricate details, stood as the centerpiece, facing the open balcony. The sheets were a deep, velvety black, and the plush pillows contrasted in rich crimson tones—matching the haunting glow of Sylus's eyes. The bed seemed to beckon me, as though it had been waiting, inviting me into a familiar dreamscape. Seeing it stirred something within me—a strange déjà vu, reminding me of the dreams I’d had while he was gone. In those dreams, we lay there together, wrapped in each other’s presence.

After studying his room, I seated myself in a soft black leather sofa facing a fireplace, its warm glow casting flickering shadows across the room—a rare sight in this modern era, yet it fit perfectly here. The place seemed to blend the elegance of a bygone age with the sleekness of the present. The crackling fire offered instant warmth after the chill of the balcony, wrapping me in a comforting heat.

From across the room, I heard the soft clinking of glass as Sylus moved behind the bar. He selected a bottle—what I assumed to be his finest wine—and with a swift motion, the cork popped. He grabbed two glasses, setting them down gently on the bar before making his way over to the fireplace, carrying the bottle and glasses in hand. The fire’s warm glow flickered in his eyes as he placed the glasses on the table, pouring the rich wine for the both of us.

His presence was somehow warmer than the fire and the wine combined. He radiated not just heat but a sense of comfort and safety. This dangerous man, of all people, made me feel the safest. Sitting shoulder to shoulder now, the memory of the previous night—when I was drunk and reckless—didn’t bother me anymore. I didn’t even regret it. The embarrassment had faded, replaced by a strange sense of ease I could only feel around him.

"It's impressive, your room..." I finally commented, breaking the silence.

“Don’t you think the owner is far more impressive?” he replied, that familiar arrogance glinting in his voice.

I laughed softly. He was always so full of himself, yet... “You are terrifying.”

His eyebrow arched as he leaned slightly closer. “So, were you terrified when you begged me to kiss you while drunk?” His voice was laced with a subtle challenge, though his frown betrayed just a hint of curiosity.

"It’s the kind of terrifying that steals your breath and sets your heart aflutter," I dared to whisper, the wine loosening my tongue—or perhaps it was the way his presence seemed to draw out the honesty hidden beneath my bravado.

He studied me with an intensity that made my pulse quicken. “Are you drunk already?”

“Come on, it’s just a glass of wine…” I replied, standing up, feeling the sudden urge to break free from the tension building between us. I moved toward his vintage vinyl record player, thinking the room needed a little music to soften the air between us. I picked a record, slid it on, and let the music fill the space. A slow melody began to play, the kind that naturally made your body sway.

Sylus stayed seated, his eyes never leaving me. The way he watched me made the air feel thicker, almost electric. I glanced back at him, my hand reaching out in invitation. “Join me,” I dared teasingly.

He finished his wine in one swift gulp, his gaze still locked on mine. Slowly, he stood and crossed the room toward me. He didn’t move to dance right away, just stood close yet his presence wrapping around me like a second skin.

“Dance with me…” I whispered, offering my hand with a racing heart as I wondered if he would take it.

“You’ve already given me enough memories to last a lifetime,” he murmured low as he finally took my hand.

He pulled me into him, and we moved together to the rhythm. His hand rested firmly on my waist and when he spun me, the world was blurring as he brought me back against him. The way his touch sent sparks through my skin made it impossible to think of anything but him.

The warmth of his body against mine was intoxicating, and the moment he pulled me close again, I could feel the rise and fall of his breath, matching mine. His hand slid slightly, fingertips grazing my back. I couldn't focus on the music anymore—it was just him. His presence, his heat, his silent control over every inch of space between us and the longing hanging silently between us.

As he spun me once more, slower this time, I let myself fall into the rhythm of him. When he drew me back, his hand lingered at my side and our faces inches apart, our breaths mingling. My heart pounded in my chest as his eyes locked onto mine, dark and profound, filled with an unspoken question I somehow understood.

Slowly, hesitantly, he leaned in, his lips brushing mine in the softest, most electrifying touch. It was gentle at first, as though he were testing the moment, asking for permission; and when I didn’t pull away, his kiss deepened, his hand sliding from my waist to the small of my back, pulling me closer still. The world melted around us as our kiss grew more urgent, more consuming, like everything we had held back had finally come crashing down.

I let myself drowned in the moment, my fingers tangling in his hair as I kissed him back with a fervor I hadn’t realized I was capable of. Every move felt like a release, a confession without words. His lips were soft, yet commanding, and his touch sent shivers down my spine as he guided me through the slow dance that had turned into something far more intoxicating.

When we finally pulled apart, our breaths were heavy, and the room felt different—charged, alive. The world silent except for the sound of our heavy breathing. His forehead rested against mine, eyes half-closed, and for a fleeting moment, we just stood there, caught in each other’s gravity.

"I knew you weren't terrified," he whispered, his breath warm against my skin.

I smiled, my heart still racing. "Maybe I should be."

“Then you should go to bed before it actually gets terrifying…”

“Maybe I want to be terrified…” I whispered, daring to look up at him, my voice soft but steady.

His gaze darkened, something dangerous sparking in his eyes. “Do you remember what I told you about kissing you?”

The memory flashed through my mind—the night I was drunk, reckless, and I begged him for a kiss. He had leaned in, his voice low as he teased me, 'When I kiss you darling, this won’t be the only part I’ll kiss.' The thought alone made my core tighten with heat.

“And that wasn’t just talk,” he murmured, his voice dropping as his hand came up, fingers brushing the back of my neck, gently but possessively. “So, if you stay…”

His grip tightened just slightly, as if trying to anchor himself, his lips hovering close to mine. “I don’t know if I still have any self-control left.”

I swallowed, feeling the tension snap, the line blurred between us, something electric pulsing in the air. "Then let it go," I breathed, my voice barely audible as I leaned in, brushing my lips against his.

He didn’t hesitate. The moment our mouths met, the kiss was anything but gentle. It was raw, full of the tension we’d been holding back for so long. His hand slid up, tangling in my hair as he pulled me closer, deepening the kiss with a hunger that left me breathless.

His lips claimed mine with a ferocity that made me melt into him, my hands clutching at his shirt as if I needed to hold on to something solid. There was no hesitation now, no space for second thoughts, no going back. Every touch, every movement, ignited a flame within me.

When he pulled back, just enough for our lips to barely part, his voice was low and rough, filled with a fierce intensity. “You should know that whatever I hold is mine.”

A shiver coursed through me, my heart racing. “Does that make me yours?”

His grip tightened as if daring the world to tear us apar, and his eyes burned with the longing he had always kept buried. “You’ve always been mine,” he growled, his words sinking into me like a brand. “Long before this, long before you even knew. And you will always be mine.”

His lips crashed back against mine, and I knew—this was the moment everything changed. There was no more pretending, no more denying that I wanted him, just as much as he wanted me. His self-control shattered, replaced by an unrestrained desire. It was just us—two flames igniting, burning hotter than the sun, brighter than the stars. If love could set the world aflame, we would have turned it to ashes and danced in the embers. All that mattered was this fire between us, consuming everything in its path.

His hands slid up my back, fingers threading through my hair as he deepened the kiss. Every touch of his lips sent a shiver through me, as if I were caught in the eye of a storm. The world outside ceased to exist—there was only the heat between us, growing with every breath, every stolen gasp.

I pressed closer, feeling the hard lines of his body against mine, the warmth of his skin seeping through the fabric that suddenly felt too constraining, too much. His lips left mine, trailing a fiery path along my jaw, down my neck, and I arched into him, breathless.

His hands roamed, possessive yet gentle, leaving sparks in their wake, and when his mouth found the sensitive spot just below my ear, a soft moan escaped me. His grip tightened, pulling me even closer, as if the space between us was intolerable. I could feel his breath against my skin, warm and ragged, and the tension between us crackled like electricity ready to explode.

“Sylus…” his name slipped from my lips, barely a whisper, but it was enough to make him pause, his lips hovering just above mine, his gaze locking with mine. The air between us was thick, charged with anticipation, but also something deeper—something primal that neither of us could ignore any longer.

His voice low and rough as it cut through the haze. “Tell me to stop, or I won’t.” His eyes burned with a mix of restraint and need, his control teetering on the edge.

I swallowed hard, my heart thundering. “Don’t…” I managed a whimper, and that was all it took for his last thread of control to snap.

He lifted me from the floor with effortless strength, my body instinctively molding to his as I looped my arms around his neck, my legs wrapping tightly around his waist. Our lips met again, the kiss deepening as my fingers tangled in his hair. His grip was firm but teasing as his hand found my ass, squeezing in a way that made my breath hitch, his touch sparking a flame in me that wouldn’t be quenched.

Instead of carrying me to the bed, he set me down on the table, the cold surface beneath me sharp against the heat of our bodies. His lips never left mine, urgent, claiming me with a hunger that spoke of long-suppressed desire. I could feel the need radiating off him, echoing in the way his mouth moved, the way his hands roamed my body.

I tugged at his shirt, frantically unbuttoning it as his lips left a burning trail down my neck, his teeth grazing my skin. I needed to feel him, all of him. As soon as his shirt was off, I ran my hands over his broad chest, feeling the powerful muscles beneath, the rapid beat of his heart. His moan against my neck sent jolt through my core, and I couldn’t stop myself from kissing his throat, his chest, tasting every inch of him.

"That’s not fair," he growled, his voice thick with desire. With one swift motion, he stripped off my shirt and expertly unhooked my bra with a single hand. And just like he’d promised, he kissed me everywhere, his lips trailing fire from my collarbone down to my belly. His hands cupped my breasts, squeezing as his tongue flicked over my nipples, and I couldn’t help the moans that escaped me while my body arching into him.

His mouth was relentless, sucking, licking, biting, and when he finally pulled back, my skin was covered in marks—his marks—and I didn’t care. I wanted them. I wanted him to leave me branded, claimed.

Before I knew it, my pants were gone, leaving me in only my panties. I let out a shaky breath, half-laughing, "That’s not fair..." I reached for the waistband of his pants, but he quickly caught my wrist

"Not yet," he whispered dangerously. With practiced ease, he stripped me bare, leaving me exposed under his ravenous gaze. "I haven’t had my dessert yet." His smirk was wicked, and the anticipation made my heart race.

Then he was between my legs, his mouth hot against me. The first flick of his tongue was slow, deliberate, sending a wave of pleasure through me so intense I couldn’t stop the gasp that escaped my lips. His hands gripped my thighs, spreading me wider as his tongue moved, teasing, tasting, devouring. Every movement was precise, like he knew exactly where to touch, how to push me closer to the edge with every flick, every suck.

And then, as his tongue worked me, I felt his finger sliding into me—slow at first, then deeper, curling inside me in a way that made me cry out, my hands gripping the table for support. He kept his pace slow and torturous, his finger moving in rhythm with his tongue, each thrust deliberate, every curl hitting the perfect spot. My back arched off the table as a moan tore from my throat, my body responding to him in ways I couldn’t control. He added another finger, stretching me, filling me, and I was helpless against the onslaught of pleasure that followed. His mouth was restless, his fingers relentless, pushing me closer and closer to that edge until I could barely breathe.

The sensation of his fingers moving inside me, curling just right while his tongue flicked over my most sensitive spot, was overwhelming. I could feel the pressure building, the pleasure spiraling, my body tensing as the waves began to crash over me. His fingers quickened their pace, his mouth never slowing, and I was lost, my hands clawing at his back, gripping his hair as if to anchor myself. I trembled, not caring if I might drown in these overwhelming sensations.

“Sylus,” I gasped, his name spilling from my lips in a breathless plea as my body teetered on the edge. He moaned against me, the vibration sending a final shockwave through me, and I shattered as pleasure coursing through me like fire. I couldn’t stop the sounds escaping me, couldn’t stop the trembling in my legs, couldn’t stop anything as he coaxed me through the high, his fingers still moving inside me, prolonging the release until I was nothing but a trembling, breathless mess.

He pulled back, his eyes gleaming with satisfaction as he looked at me, his chest heaving. "You taste better than any dessert I’ve ever had," his voice rough yet laced with a desire that lingered in his gaze—a tantalizing promise of more to come.

Without a word, he lifted me effortlessly from the table, and this time, he carried me to the bed. The moment my back hit the sheets, he was on me again, his mouth finding mine as I tugged at his pants, desperate to feel him. This time, there was no stopping me as I undid his waistband, freeing him. He groaned against my lips as I wrapped my hand around him, his body shuddering as I stroked him, feeling the power of his need.

“Now it’s fair,” I whispered breathlessly, eyes locking with his.

His response was a growl, his lips crashing back to mine, and in one swift movement, he was over me, pressing me into the bed, his weight pressing down just enough to make me feel like he had me, completely.

Then he pushed inside, slow and deliberate, a deep groan rumbling from his chest as he filled me inch by inch. The sensation was intense—overwhelming heat and pressure as he stretched me. Despite how well he had prepared me, the sting was still there, a mix of pleasure and discomfort that made me gasp.

He paused, his body tense as he sensed my wince, his gaze searching mine. The care in his eyes contrasted with the desire in his movements, but I didn’t want him to stop. I needed this, needed to feel all of him. Before he could say anything, I caught his lips with mine, cutting off the words forming on his tongue. “It’s okay,” I whined.

That was all he needed.

He started pushing deeper, so gently it was almost torturous. The slow drag of him drove me to the edge, every inch he claimed igniting a trail of molten fire through my veins. He was patient, his eyes never leaving mine, watching every reaction, gauging my comfort with each slow, careful thrust. His restraint made me want him even more, the way he took his time, ensuring I was okay while fanning the embers that devoured us.

The discomfort soon melted away, replaced by a rush of pleasure that had me gasping, my nails digging into his back as I clung to him. He filled me completely, the fervent sensation so extraordinary it nearly stole my breath. For a moment, he held still, letting me adjust to him, and I could feel the rise and fall of his chest, his breath hot and ragged against my neck, matching the wild rhythm of my heartbeat.

He pulled back before thrusting forward again, harder this time. A sharp gasp escaped me, the feeling of him moving inside me, filling me, was almost too much, and yet not enough. I needed more, craved it. His pace picked up, each thrust more forceful, more demanding, and I met him with equal urgency, my hips moving to match his rhythm.

"Fuck, you feel so good," he growled. His grip on my waist tightened, his fingers digging into my skin as he set a relentless pace, driving deeper with every thrust. The sounds of our bodies colliding, the unrestrained moans and gasps that escaped us, filled the room, blending with the crackling of the fire. It was like everything around us had disappeared—there was only this, only us.

I arched my back, pressing my chest into his, desperate to feel every inch of him against me. His lips found my neck, biting, sucking, leaving a trail of marks in their wake. Every time he thrust into me, I felt the tension building again, that familiar coil tightening in my core.

"You're mine," he growled possessively. He drove into me harder, his pace brutal now, and I loved it. "Say it."

"I'm yours," I gasped, barely able to form the words for my body was trembling beneath him.

The possessiveness in his eyes flared as he crushed his lips against mine, the kiss messy, desperate, as if claiming me all over again. One hand slid down between us, finding that sensitive spot, rubbing in time with his thrusts. The sensation pushed me to the edge in seconds, and I shattered around him, a broken cry escaping my lips as the pleasure ripped through me, consuming me.

He wasn’t far behind. With a final, deep thrust, he let out a low, guttural moan, burying himself inside me as he came, his body shuddering with release. He stayed there for a moment, our bodies still joined, both of us breathing heavily, the aftermath of what we’d just shared cascaded over us like a waterfall.

Finally, he pulled back, his forehead resting against mine, and in that moment, it felt like everything had shifted, the world tilted. He made me feel more alive than I ever had, more awakened and I need more of him. It was as if he had filled a chasm in my soul, a yearning I had not known existed.

"You’re mine," he whispered one last time, his voice softer now but no less certain. And as I lay there, wrapped in his arms, I knew he was right.
