Tub Scene

Summary:

Tub scene in Out of Sight (1998), but instead of Karen Sisco and Jack Foley, it's Rusty Ryan and Danny Ocean.

Notes:

I was thinking about what if they made Out of Sight as gay romance film instead. I mean, I really enjoyed the film, but I just can't stop thinking about how would it be even sexier if it was Danny and Rusty in that bathtub.

Ps: i really reccomend you to listen to The Tub Scene - David Holmes while reading this 😁

Work Text:

Rusty Ryan wasn't a man who was easily swayed, especially when an escaped convict (covered in mud) started to flirt with him whilst they both were stuck in Rusty's own car's trunk. The man, who called himself Danny Ocean, had a smooth voice that reminded Rusty of Hollywood's golden age actor he watched on TCM. Maybe Cary Grant.

But on second thought, that quality of him being 'immune to flirts' perhaps was changed by that unexpected exchange. Rusty was kidnapped and the kidnapper was only rambling about movies? Well, that's new.

He nearly laughed at the thoughts. But Rusty reminded himself that he was mad at his kidnapper for ruining his day, his favorite silk shirt with mud, and not mention stealing his car. So it's natural for him to seek revenge, catch the guy, bring him back to the clink, and probably make him pay for the custom-made silk shirt that was waiting to be disposed. It's as easy as one two three. Except the fact that he might be feeling sort of attracted to the convict, which clearly won't affect the pursuit, so he thought.

It's not hard to find Danny Ocean and his partner, whom Danny called Frank. Just find the nearest and cheapest motel around the area, which happened to be a building painted in soft pink with an old neon sign, "Seams Hotel" dimly lit in the dawn of Miami. And the rest is the FBI badge's work. Civilians will spit information as soon as he shows his badge, just like the receptionist of the Seams Hotel who immediately told him the room Danny Ocean stayed in.

Rusty brought a gun, just in case, although he knew he wouldn't be needing it anyway. He slowly walked through the hallway and stopped at the room door was slightly open with the right number glued on it.

His eyes ran through the space between the slightly ajar door and the wide-open room door just beside it. Shameless, Rusty thought, but a smirk decorated his face.

Danny Ocean is relaxed in the bathtub and leans against it while the steam of the warm water inside the badly ventilated bathroom makes the image for Rusty even more arousing. The fluorescent light makes Danny look less like a kidnapper and more like the purest form of temptation. Danny is oblivious to Rusty's presence who is watching him closely while slowly walking inside his room to the bathroom he occupied.

All of Rusty's thoughts are gone; it feels like there are only two of them at the moment on Earth. Rusty mindlessly licks his dry lip and stops beside the naked, wet Danny for half a second before his hand is pulled.

Rusty's face is now just an inch away from Danny's face, both absentmindedly staring at each other, noting every single detail of the face in front of them whilst their minds keep pushing them to just let go.

Pure magnetism.

As their lips touch, it seems it is the most addictive feeling both could ever achieve in their mere lives as humans. How could they only meet just yesterday if they could meet decades ago and probably have done this thousands of times?

The sounds of them kissing filled the room as the water sloshed out from the bathtub when Rusty got inside the bathtub so he could feel each other's bodies. Rusty almost whined when Danny pushed his face back slightly, hands on both of his cheeks and stared at his face like he couldn't resist admiring Rusty's flustered face.

Rusty moves his body forward, continuing their shamelessly open-mouthed kiss as if it was the thing he came here for, the taste of Danny Ocean. He can feel Danny's right hand on his hips, gently moving towards his arched back and taking control of the kiss.

How he wonders if this would lead to something more, probably in the bathtub or perhaps in the bed. Like some newly wedded couple on a honeymoon. But then someone's voice woke him up, oh...they must be doing it on the bed then. Romantic.

Rusty lazily opens his eyes, and all he sees is a hospital room. No Danny Ocean, no cheap hotel furniture, and a throbbing pain on his forehead. Basher sat beside his bed, calling his name until he finally gained his consciousness back.

"-Rusty, you were talking in your sleep," Basher said.

Rusty's eyes fluttered, feeling both sleepy and content, "what'd I say?"

Basher shrugged, "Hey yourself." Rusty just blankly stared at Basher, "huh..."
