Alex enlisted the help of both June and Nora to set up for his date with Henry that evening, both to get things ready and to help keep him calm.
He was a nervous wreck working about getting everything perfect for his proposal and hoping that Henry would say yes. He had put his blood, sweat, and tears into the evening; literally, he'd managed to cut himself on the thorns of the roses he'd bought as decorations, sweated so much moving furniture around and rearranging things to his needs and cried when he panicked that it was all for nothing and Henry was going to say no and leave him.
June and Nora talked him down from that panic and finished helping set up the space, then sent him off to shower and get ready while they made a hasty retreat wanting to be gone before Pez arrived with Henry.
