Work Text:

Harry had been sprinting for his life, willing every part of his body to create as much distance as possible from the snatchers gaining ground behind him. Suddenly, there was a large flash of light, a loud pop and Harry found himself no longer in a forest but in a hospital room staring at two girls around his age.

The one with messy black hair was connected to an IV, it looked like she had been crying. The other girl sat uncomfortably at the side of her bed. They both stared wide-eyed in shock at Harry. Harry noticed the eerie similarities between himself and the hurt girl - however, when he looked at the other girl everything clicked into place.

Harry was staring into the big brown eyes of Lady Voldemort. He was sure of it.

Without any hesitation, Harry drew his wand and cast flipendo to create as much distance between Riddle and who is assumed to be girl Harry. While she was momentarily stunned from hitting the back wall Harry rushed forward hoisted her up off the floor and held her by her neck. If there was ever any doubt that this was not Tom Riddle in female form it was erased when defiant eyes met his. Harry tightened his grip, removing lady Tom's ability to get air. He felt a rush of power and well arousal that he was going to never think about again.

He was pulled out of the moment when a pillow knocked him in the back of his head.

"What the fuck do you think you're doing?" the bedridden girl demanded. "Let go of my friend!"

"Friend?!" Harry exclaimed. "There is no way Riddle is your friend."

"How did you know my-" Harry retightened his grip on Riddle to shut her up.

"Yes, friend! My childhood friend...who was an enemy at one point but now...well now we're friends again. Good friends" his look-a-like shouted. "If you didn't notice she was comforting me since my legs are now useless and that's why I can't get up and stop you from killing my..."

"Friend" Harry finished. "Harry, are you sure she's not the reason you're you know in this situation...are you absolutely sure she didn't-" Harry tried to clarify before being cut off.

"No! I mean yes she should have known when to shut the hell up - but this wasn't her. She's done nothing but protect me."

"But Riddle is -" Harry protested.

"Look you come in with all these weird powers, and by the looks of you (very attractive by the way), you think we're the same person. And maybe we are. But if that's the case," she-Harry paused and made direct eye contact with Harry, "This isn't you!"

Harry was surprised by this girl's conclusion.

"You are snarky and maybe a bit vengeful, but we don't, you don't murder innocent people no matter what crimes you think they have committed. That's more of er... Riddle's thing."

Harry let out a breathy laugh and loosened his grip. "You're not really helping your case you know." He said with a smirk. "Are you sure you want me to let her go?"

"Yes," Girl-Harry responded with no hesitation.

So Harry did, he dropped Riddle who collapsed in a heap, and strode over to his doppelganger's bedside.

If he wasn't meant to fulfill a prophecy here maybe he could still help his counterpart out. He took out his want and before anyone could protest cast reparare retro. The girl in the bed let out a gasp and a cry of surprise when she could wiggle her toes.

Harry felt himself fading from this reality.

"Thank you" girl Harry cried after him.

"Don't mention it" Harry responded. "Take care yourself, don't be afraid to choke Riddle if she gets out of line, I think she liked it." He said with a wink - before he was abruptly thrust from this reality.
