The crackling of the fire whispered in the stillness of the night, but Gale’s mind was far from still. The flames leapt and twisted, a captivating dance. His eyes drifted lazily over the flame’s twisting shape, mind buzzing restlessly. An open book sat on his lap, mostly forgotten as his mind wandered aimlessly. The night stretched out, heavy and thick, wrapping him in silence only disturbed by the occasional pop of burning wood. His gaze flickered to the edges of the campsite.
His eyes wandered over the campsite, dull and distant until something caught his attention, truly captured it. It was a glint, a subtle shimmer by the firelight. His gaze focused, sharpening as he realized what had changed. Astarion, lounging as if the world itself were beneath him, had picked up a new pair of boots at some point during their journey. They were sleek, the leather impossibly smooth and shiny, almost too perfect in their sheen, and they glowed faintly with threads of magic that were barely visible to the naked eye.
He watched Astarion recline in his own seat with an arrogant ease, one leg crossed over the other, his freshly acquired boots glinting faintly in the firelight. They were clearly magical, humming with the Weave like a distant melody. A soft pulse of hunger stirred in Gale’s chest, the orb reminding him of its endless need.
The boots… They were soaked in power, resonating so intimately with Weave that Gale’s thoughts quickly clouded with want. He swallowed hard, feeling the gnawing hunger creep up his throat. The orb inside him pulsed with a dull ache, teeth gnashing at the rich scent of magic in the air. The lingering threads of the enchantment tantalized his senses, tugging at something deep and wild inside him.
He was starving for them.
The firelight flickered over Gale’s strained features, shadows dancing in the hollow of his cheeks. The words in his book were forgotten, drowned beneath the rising tide of his orb’s need. His eyes kept sliding back to Astarion’s boots—gleaming, pulsing, teasing him with their raw potential.
There was something there that twisted into a tight knot that planted itself firmly in his stomach. His eyes traced the contour of Astarion’s foot, the way the leather of the boots hugged his legs, the soft flex of muscle beneath pale skin. He licked his lips, tasting the salt of his own rising desperation.
He shifted in his seat, the pressure building, the orb inside him gnawing like a feral beast caged beneath his bones. His breath caught in his throat, hands clenched tightly against his knees, fighting the urge to lunge, to tear those boots free from Astarion’s feet and drain them dry.
But how, truly how, could he ask? Again? Begging for another trinket, just like all the others? He sighed, leaning back against the log behind him, staring up at the stars as exhaustion set in. Each plea, each humble request wore him down, chipped away at what remained of his dignity. Yes, his life depended on these items, but how much more of himself could he give away? Of course, the alternative was the orb detonating and consuming the length of the Sword Coast, so yes, of course he finds it in himself to ask each time.
Lae’zel had no such qualms. She tore into the others without hesitation, and they listened to her, if only to stop the barking of her orders. She had ripped rings from fingers and necklaces from necks, all in the name of keeping him alive. But the thought of asking her to snatch those boots from Astarion felt like suicide. He briefly entertained the idea of maneuvering Lae’zel into it somehow, but his nerves bristled at the idea of trying to get Lae’zel to do anything that was not first her idea alone. Lae’zel would never budge, would never do it simply because Gale had asked her to. It had to be on her terms. Even if she did help, he dreaded the price of her compliance.
The same went for Astarion, in fact. The vampire adored conflict, and his smug face alone could irritate Gale into silence. There would be no begging him for anything, least of all now. The orb was hungry, yes, always, always. But it should be sated—it had been fed recently enough that there was no true threat, not really. He knew his limits. The hunger that gnawed at him was not immediate. Not urgent.
And yet… why did the mere sight of those boots make his mouth water? Why did he ache for them?
His eyes drifted over the image of Astarion lounging with that casual grace, legs crossed, the boots perfectly hugging his form. Gale’s gaze meandered lazily, crawling to watch the way Astarion’s calf muscles flexed and shifted. The boots seemed to glow with the heat of the Weave itself; imperceptible to most, but unignorable for a practiced wizard such as Gale. The orb had all but twisted him into some magic-hungry fiend, no doubt. His chest hungered for magic—yes, always, but the pull of those boots was something altogether new.
Gale breathed out through his nose, forcing his thoughts away from Astarion and the boots, and turned his attention to the journal in his hands. The pages were brittle, worn from age, but they held the earnest words of a young man who, in Gale’s mind, should never have left them to rot. The thought of such vibrant thoughts abandoned amongst goblin-induced carnage made Gale grimace. A person’s life, their innermost reflections, just discarded… He’d always cherished the written word, the permanence it offered in a world where nothing else truly lasted.
The journal was oddly captivating in its simplicity. The author, an alchemist by trade, wrote with the sort of casual indifference to his own emotions that only youth or inexperience could maintain. He was infatuated with a local florist, though the young man himself seemed entirely oblivious to the depth of his feelings. Gale smirked to himself as he read between the lines, imagining how the man would come to realize his unspoken love only after it was too late. Yet, despite his fascination, there was something grounding in the mundane details of the alchemist’s life—an escape Gale welcomed.
The firelight flickered, casting long shadows across the camp, and for the first time in what felt like hours, Gale felt himself sink into the calm of the moment. The distant trickle of the stream provided a gentle backdrop, a soothing rhythm that mingled with the haunting melody Shadowheart was humming near her tent, eerie but beautiful. He could hear Wyll and Lae’zell sparring in the distance, the soft clink of their weapons making contact again and again. Even Astarion’s presence and the grating scrape of his dagger against whetstone was oddly comforting, a familiar irritation that grounded Gale in the moment.
He let out a slow breath, eyes drifting lazily over the last few lines of the page he was on as his mind settled fully into the peaceful ambiance. The itch of hunger for the magic within those boots slipped further into the recesses of his mind. It wasn’t gone, not entirely. His gaze darted once, just once, back to Astarion’s feet, lingering for a breath longer than it should have, before he shook himself free of the strange pull.
-
Gale’s fixation only intensified with each passing day. Astarion’s boots had become a constant, gnawing presence in his mind. The elf’s previous boots, nondescript and practical, hadn’t even registered in Gale’s consciousness. But these? These were different. They seemed to radiate something that reached beyond mere enchantment, something deeper than the Weave alone. They demanded his attention, called to him in a way he couldn’t quite explain. His eyes wandered back to them whenever Astarion strolled past, catching the faint shimmer in the leather, the way they flexed with every graceful step the vampire took.
He told himself it was just the orb acting up again, that familiar gnawing in his chest. It never rested, never allowed him peace. It was always there, demanding, hungering, its presence humming just beneath his skin. He could feel it now, fizzing and swirling angrily, but it wasn’t desperate—not yet. Still, Gale couldn’t shake the nagging thought that perhaps he was becoming too accustomed to the orb’s hunger, to the point where he could no longer distinguish his own desires from its incessant demands.
As Gale was absorbed in yet another attempt to force himself to think of something, anything else, Karlach bounded up to him with her characteristic exuberance. Her tail swayed with excitement, eyes gleaming as she held out something that was clutched in her large, calloused hand.
“Oi, Gale! Found somethin’ you might like,” she said, all too proud of herself.
In her hand was a necklace, dirt still clinging to its chain as though she’d yanked it straight from the earth. In fact, Gale wouldn’t put it past the tiefling to just dig a random magical artifact out of the ground like it was nothing, like some kind of bloodhound. He chuckled and offered an eager smile. He felt so incredibly lucky to have such caring companions.
He thanked her with far too many words, praising her resourcefulness, her keen eye for magic, but his mind was burning with a different kind of anticipation. He barely had the presence of mind to give the necklace a once-over before holding it up to the orb. Normally, he would have taken the time to assess its potential usefulness—was it something they could use on their journey? But right now, he didn’t care.
He needed to lessen this hunger. He needed his mind to be silent when he next saw Astarion’s boots.
With a swirl of magic, he consumed the necklace. The orb drank greedily, the Weave essence pouring into it, water into dry soil. He braced himself for the familiar, quieting hum, that sense of being sated, at least for a little while. But when his eyes inevitably found their way back to Astarion’s boots, the hunger remained. No, not the orb’s hunger—his hunger.
A cold realization crept up his spine.
The orb was quiet, content, but Gale was not. The burning want, the ache in his chest whenever he glanced at the boots. It wasn’t the orb’s doing at all. It was his own. His stomach twisted, heart racing as the truth sank in. This… desire wasn’t about the Weave or the magic that clung to the leather of those boots. It was him. His own fixation, his own obsession.
His own hunger.
-
For the next few nights, Gale wrestled with himself, desperately trying to quash the absurdity of it all. This is ridiculous, he told himself over and over again. To be so utterly fixated on a pair of boots? To let his thoughts spiral into obsession over such a trivial thing. The orb’s hunger had twisted his mind in so many ways before, but never like this. This was never the maddening desperation that came with the orb. No, this had been something else the entire time.
He threw himself into his studies each night, burning the midnight oil with reckless abandon, determined to distract himself. For brief moments, he succeeded, but the boots would slip back into his mind, uninvited, catching him off guard whenever he allowed his concentration to slip. Every time his thoughts would somehow wander back to Astarion, lounging in camp, those boots wrapped perfectly around each leg. And each time, Gale felt the itch grow stronger.
Eventually, the part of him that could never leave a mystery unsolved—the academic, the scholar—won over his denial. He was an inquisitive mind, wasn’t he? Driven by the need to understand, to explore the unknown. Perhaps this was no different. Perhaps, if he delved deeper, if he allowed himself to explore this desire, he could unravel it so it might lose its hold over him.
Closing his eyes, he let his mind ponder his dilemma in depth. He tried picturing the boots on someone else, on one of the others in their camp. Karlach, strong and steadfast, would wear them well, certainly. Her tall, muscular frame giving the boots a certain feral grace. Shadowheart’s slender legs would slip into them effortlessly, her graceful form would certainly be enhanced by them. The idea of Wyll wearing them made him blush. Seeing the handsome gentleman in such a flashy item certainly had its allure. Even Lae’zel, fierce and battle-hardened, would look imposing in them, striding with a warrior’s confidence.
They all looked fantastic in his mind’s eye—perfect, really. You’d have to be blind to not see how attractive each of them was. But the itch remained unsatisfied still. There was no spark, no heat. His heart didn’t race the same way.
Then, begrudgingly, he allowed himself to picture Astarion once more. The vampire with his aristocratic elegance, lounging with those boots casually crossed over one another, as if the magic infused in them was merely an afterthought. The way they hugged his legs, the sleek leather catching the firelight just so. It wasn’t just the boots, Gale realized, heart thudding in his chest. It was the way Astarion wore them, as though the magic belonged to him, as though the boots had been made for him.
It wasn’t the boots at all. Not really.
It was Astarion. The way he moved in them, the way he carried himself with an effortless arrogance. The way he embodied something untouchable, something just beyond Gale’s reach. It was the marriage of Astarion’s undeniable presence and the seductive allure of the boots, the way they clung to him like an extension of his personality.
Gale sat up, the weight of his realization pressing down on him. It wasn’t just the magic that called to him. No, it was Astarion wearing that magic.
Gale exhaled sharply, his breath catching in his throat as the thought took root and flourished, twisting inside him. It was never the enchantment that held his gaze; it was the man wrapped in it. Astarion, with his infuriating poise, that sly smirk dancing on his lips as if he alone was privy to some grand, tantalizing secret. He wore his confidence like a mantle, and those boots were nothing more than a subtle flourish, an accent to his natural magnetism.
Every movement Astarion made was deliberate, yet careless in its execution, like he was toying with the world beneath him, knowing full well it would bend to his will, despite the hand that life had dealt him. Gale found himself wondering, against his better judgment, what it would be like to close the gap. To reach out, to touch that carefully guarded façade of untouchable charm.
The thought sent a chill through him, an uninvited thrill. He clenched his fists, trying to push the image away, but it lingered, stubborn as always. It was maddening, this pull towards Astarion. It was a gravity he couldn’t deny.
Astarion didn’t just wear his allure; he wielded it like a weapon. And was it so surprising that Gale had become so ensnared in its thrall?
-
Astarion towers over Gale, his elegant form exuding disdain as he stares down, dressed in his usual finery, immaculate save for the cruel sneer on his lips. Gale lies fully exposed at Astarion’s feet, the leather of his boots glinting faintly in the dim light. The scowl deepens. Without a word, Astarion lifts his leg and delivers a light but stinging kick to Gale’s ribs. The boot squeaks with the movement, a sharp sound that cuts through the silence. Gale winces from the pain, but it only intensifies the ache between his legs and fattens his cock that much more.
The sensation sharpens as Astarion shifts his weight to one leg, lifting his other foot and dragging it lightly, teasingly, up the length of Gale’s body. Gale shivers, helpless beneath him, his breath quickening. The boot pauses, hovering above his face, and then, with a sudden, vicious press, the toe digs harshly into his cheek. Gale gasps in shock, the sharp pressure forcing his mouth open. Astarion takes advantage, pushing the filthy underside of the boot against Gale’s parted lips. The taste of dirt and leather floods his senses, and Gale, lost in the moment, lets out a needy whimper, his tongue lashing out to lick eagerly at the rough surface.
Astarion’s laughter cuts through his groans—cold, mocking. He pulls his foot back without warning, only for Astarion to swing his leg again and drive another quick, punishing kick into Gale’s side. The pain mingles with a twisted, overwhelming pleasure, sending jolts through Gale’s body.
-
Gale gasped as he jolted awake, the vivid fragments of the dream still clinging to him, heart racing, body aflame. The sting in his ribs was only too real, courtesy of the book pressing into his side. Yet, the sensation wasn’t quite what filled his mind. It was the ghost of Astarion’s presence, the weight of the vampire’s boot still imprinted on his cheek, the humiliating arousal it had sparked refusing to ebb.
His breath came in ragged bursts as he scrambled to rid himself of the lingering need, fingers already wrapping around his twitching cock. The slickness of his own desperation was evident as his hand worked, fast, frantic, driven by the raw intensity of the dream still echoing in his mind. His body remembered the press of leather against his skin, the bitter taste of dirt and leather, the cruel laugh. It haunted him and fed the fire that was licking at his nerves.
A moan rattled out of him, the sound pathetic, needy—just as he had been beneath Astarion in the dream. Naked and wanting, craving more of that brutal attention. His hips bucked into his hand, the sensation of Astarion’s boot dragging across his body playing on a loop behind his eyelids. Gale could still hear that derisive laugh, still feel the weight of Astarion’s gaze as the vampire looked down on him, disgust and pleasure mingling in equal measure.
He squeezed his eyes shut harder, biting down on a groan, chasing the last remnants of the fantasy. It was unbearable, how close he was, how desperate he had become in the wake of such twisted imagery. With a final stroke, he came with a shudder. His release was hot and messy across his hand, the book digging deeper into his side as he gasped for air.
The pleasure was blinding, his ears ringing, his veins filled with an icy-hot sensation. Yet, as the high began to fade, shame crept in swiftly behind it, his breath still uneven. His hands shook as he wiped himself off, his mind replaying the dream over and over, taunting him with its intensity. Gale lay back, staring up at the dark ceiling of his tent, frustration mingling with exhaustion. Astarion not only haunted his waking thoughts. Now, it seemed, he had claimed his dreams as well.
-
This whole thing was a secret indulgence Gale was sure he could keep hidden. He was sure he’d been careful enough—sly glances, veiled behind casual gestures, stolen moments when Astarion wasn’t looking. Or at least, that’s what Gale told himself. Surely Astarion, with all his charm and self-assuredness, was oblivious to Gale’s wandering eyes, his lingering stares. He’d never mentioned them, after all. Gale allowed himself the luxury of watching, the silent craving building unchecked.
Tonight, though, there was a heavy tension, thick in the night air, almost palpable. Gale sat perched on a log, a hefty tome spread open across his lap, something about arcane theories. The words swam meaninglessly before him, his mind barely managing to grasp them. His attention had drifted, unwillingly, toward the fire, where Astarion lounged with effortless grace, a book in his hand. He was, of course, wearing those boots.
Polished, sharp, the dark leather gleaming in the firelight, every seam and fastener carefully tailored. Gale’s gaze traced the curve of them, the way they hugged tightly at the ankle before giving way to the smooth surface that climbed up his calves. His fingers twitched, imagining what it would feel like to touch them, to run his hands along the cool leather. No, that wasn’t what he wanted. He wanted to know what it would feel like to taste them. His pulse quickened as he pictured himself bent low, tongue pressed to those very seams, following each stitch with reverence, feeling the dirt and grit beneath his mouth.
The images played out relentlessly in his mind; vivid and consuming. Gale let out a shaky breath, his heart beating faster with every flicker of the firelight against those boots. He cursed inwardly, trying to pull his focus back to the book in his hands, but the page remained unread.
If Astarion had noticed Gale’s preoccupation, he didn’t show it. His face remained impassive, still absorbed in his own reading. And yet, a part of Gale felt the creeping suspicion that Astarion knew far more than he let on. Gale’s gaze traced the seams again, following the curves of it where the leather folded in on itself.
Gale’s fantasy, however, shattered like glass when Astarion cleared his throat, the sharp sound breaking through his haze of desire. His eyes snapped upward, heart stuttering in his chest as he met Astarion’s gaze. The vampire’s expression was a mix of amusement and condescension, one perfectly arched brow raised above a wicked, knowing smirtk.
“You know, Gale,” Astarion drawled, voice smooth and dripping with mockery, “I was willing to ignore your little fixation… but you’re making it more and more difficult.”
He knew. Of course, he knew. Gale’s fantasies, his fixation, hadn’t been nearly as hidden as he’d deluded himself into believing.
Gale’s stomach twisted with dread and embarrassment, his cheeks flushing hot as he tore his eyes away from Astarion’s smirking face. His gaze dropped—right onto the telltale glow of his orb, gleaming brightly in the darkness, its soft light betraying the very thing he had been trying so desperately to conceal. His body’s traitorous excitement radiated through it, a pulsing hum that seemed to mock him in its own way, casting a second glow alongside the campfire’s flickering flames. The gentleness of its glow betrayed the intensity of his emotions—arousal, embarrassment, the dizzying blur of shame and desire swirling in his gut. Gale’s mouth went dry as he scrambled for an excuse, anything to explain this away.
Mortified, Gale swallowed hard, trying to force down the lump of panic rising in his throat. He couldn’t even look up, caught between shame and the lingering pull of that same fantasy. His hands twitched over the tome, a weak attempt to steady himself.
Astarion’s smirk deepened, his eyes glinting with amusement, a predator that had finally cornered its prey. “No need to be shy, darling,” he drawled, leaning forward slightly, his posture deceptively relaxed. “It’s been quite… entertaining watching you struggle to keep your composure.”
There was a rising heat in Gale’s cheeks as he forced himself to meet Astarion’s gaze. He could feel the weight of his stare, the way it cut through any pretense. “I—I’m sorry? I’m not sure what you mean,” Gale bit out, though the lie was weak and hollow.
Astarion chuckled, a low, cruel sound that sent a shiver down Gale’s back. “Oh, come now. We both know exactly what I mean.” He uncrossed his legs slowly, deliberately, his boots scraping softly against the ground as he shifted, drawing Gale’s eyes instinctively downward. “You’ve made quite a habit of admiring these, haven’t you?” Astarion flexed his foot, the leather of the boot creaking slightly with the movement.
He tried to look away, tried to will himself to focus on the book in his lap, but his gaze lingered helplessly on the boots—on the way the firelight danced across the polished leather, the fine stitching, the subtle glow of the enchantment woven into them. He could almost taste the leather, feel its texture under his tongue.
Astarion’s voice dropped, a velvet purr that sent ice through Gale’s veins. “You’ve been quite the little voyeur, haven’t you? But now… now I think it’s time we address this obsession of yours properly.” He stood up, taking slow, measured steps toward Gale, the boots creaking with every step, until he was standing right in front of him. Towering over him.
Gale’s pulse quickened, his fingers tightening around the edges of his book as Astarion loomed, the heat of the fire mingling with the tension thickening in the air between them. His mind raced, torn between mortification and the thrill at being caught in his depravities. The orb pulsed and swirled, betraying him and revealing his excitement despite the gnawing dread twisting at his stomach.
Astarion tilted his head, perfect silver curls cascading and bouncing at the movement. “Go on, Gale. Tell me what it is you really want.” His voice was teasing, playful even, but there was a dangerous edge to it—a challenge.
Shame lapped at him cruelly, but he was exhausted. He was tired of being consumed by this. Astarion was right—it was a full-fledged obsession. Perhaps it was time to give in.
Gale closed his book and set it out of harm’s way as he briefly considered his next move. His face burned hot with heavy shame. “Step on me,” he all but whispered. He could feel the tremble in his voice, the way it caught in his throat, almost strangling the plea before it escaped.
The words hung in the air between them, heavy and raw. Astarion blinked, his smirk fading for just a moment as he processed the request. His eyes widened slightly, his lips parting in a soundless laugh of disbelief. “What was that, darling?” he purred, his voice slow and deliberate, a wicked gleam in his eyes.
Gale swallowed hard, the knot of anxiety tightening in his stomach as he forced himself to say it again—louder this time, clearer. “Step on me,” he repeated, his heart pounding so hard he thought it might burst. “Please… I want it to hurt.”
For a moment, there was only silence, save for the soft crackle of the fire. Astarion stood still, staring down at Gale with an expression that was difficult to read—somewhere between amusement and intrigue. Then, slowly, that predatory smile returned, curling at the corners of his lips and deepening his smile lines. He let out a soft, breathy chuckle that sent shivers across Gale’s flesh.
“Oh, my dear wizard,” Astarion said, his voice thick with mock sympathy. “You really are far more depraved than I gave you credit for.” He took a step closer, his boots now inches from Gale’s hands. The vampire’s presence loomed over him, intoxicating, overwhelming. Gale’s gaze was fixed on the boots, waiting—yearning—for the inevitable.
Astarion pressed the sole of his boot gently against Gale’s chest, not with the force Gale had begged for, but a teasing pressure that made his skin tingle. Gale’s breath hitched, his body instinctively arching into the touch, craving more.
“Ask me again, Gale,” Astarion whispered, leaning down slightly. His voice was dripping with cruel amusement. “Tell me exactly what you want.”
The shame clung to him, thick and suffocating, but he forced it down. “I want you to step on me,” Gale gasped, his voice hoarse. His hands curled into fists at his sides as he fought to maintain what little composure he had left. “I want you to hurt me.”
Astarion’s smile was wider now, his eyes gleaming with a wicked satisfaction. “As you wish,” he said softly, and then, without warning, he pressed down harder. The leather of the boot dug into Gale’s chest, the pressure sharp and unrelenting. Gale gasped at the sudden pain, a strangled moan escaping his lips as Astarion ground his heel into him, twisting it just enough to give Gale just what he had asked for.
“There’s a good boy,” Astarion murmured, his voice low and dangerous. “Is this what you’ve been craving? To be beneath me, helpless and wanting?”
Gale’s chest heaved, the pain mingling with a thrill he couldn’t deny. Every inch of him was burning with desire, shame flickering beneath the surface but no longer enough to stop him. He was tired of resisting, tired of pretending he didn’t want this. This was what he needed and now that it was happening, he felt as though he was drowning in it.
Astarion shifted his weight, the pressure on Gale’s chest intensifying, drawing a choked gasp from his throat. He looked down at Gale with cold, mocking amusement, relishing the power he held.
“You—” Gale began with a gasp. “You can kick me too.”
Astarion let out a soft, disbelieving chuckle, the sound sending another wave of heat rolling through Gale’s already burning body. He tilted his head, feigning thoughtfulness as his boot continued to press into Gale’s chest. “Oh, can I now?” His voice dripped with mockery, every word sharpened to a fine edge.
Slowly, he lifted his boot off Gale’s chest, the sudden absence of pressure making Gale gasp. His boot hovered above Gale’s ribs, the anticipation almost unbearable. Astarion quirked an eyebrow, momentarily hesitating, seemingly waiting for Gale to confirm again that he indeed wanted this.
Gale could barely muster a reply to the wordless question, his throat tight with shame and desire. He swallowed hard, the words coming out hoarse and breathless. “Please… please, just do it.”
Astarion’s smile returned, more wicked than ever now. “Very well, if you insist.”
He swung his foot and kicked Gale directly in the ribs—not hard enough to seriously hurt, but with enough force to knock the wind out of him. The dull thud of impact sent a jolt of pain through Gale’s side, and he gasped, his body curling inwards from the blow. The sensation was sharp, startling, and it made his cock throb painfully with twisted pleasure.
Gale could hear the smirk in his voice as he leaned in close. “You like that, don’t you? What an interesting, little thing you are.” His boot came down again, a swift, punishing kick that sent another wave of pain shooting through Gale’s ribs. Gale moaned, the sound pitiful and desperate, his body trembling.
Astarion laughed a shrill and mocking laugh as he looked down at Gale’s crumpled form. “Oh, I could get used to this,” he mused, his tone casual despite the intensity of the moment. He gave Gale another sharp kick, this time to his stomach, watching with dark amusement as Gale gasped and writhed beneath him.
“You know, darling,” Astarion mused, his voice dripping with false innocence, “I wonder… would you be terribly upset if something were to happen to these precious boots of mine?” He tapped the toe of his boot lightly against Gale’s side, teasing the idea, his smile widening at Gale’s bewildered expression.
Gale’s mind stuttered, panic flickering through him at the thought. His gaze dropped to the boots, and his chest tightened at the mere idea of losing them. They were nice, yes, but he knew the truth. It wasn’t the boots that had driven him mad. It wasn’t the weave thrumming through the leather that made him ache with need.
It was Astarion, who wielded his cruelty like a finely honed weapon, making Gale desperate for every sting.
The words stuck in his throat as Astarion leaned in closer, his voice soft, but charged with mischief. “Well?”
Gale shut his eyes for a moment, steadying himself before speaking. “It’s not the boots,” he admitted, his voice barely above a whisper, filled with a raw vulnerability that made his skin prickle with shame. “It’s… you. I—” He hesitated, then force himself to continue, his breath shaky. “I want you, Astarion. It’s always been you.”
“Oh, is that so? How flattering.” His tone was condescending, but Gale could see something flickering behind his eyes—a spark of realization, perhaps, or satisfaction in hearing those words. “Well, if it’s me you want, then perhaps these boots are no longer necessary, hmm?”
Before Gale could respond, Astarion shifted his stance and lifted his foot, pressing it directly against the glowing orb in Gale’s chest. The pressure was firm and deliberate. The leather was cool against his skin and the contact sent an electric jolt through him, his entire body tensing under the force.
The orb responded almost immediately, pulsing with excitement as if it sensed the magic woven into the boots. Astarion was seemingly amused by the way the orb seemed to hunger for the boots—just as Gale had. “Well, then,” Astarion drawled, his voice low and mocking. “Shall we give the orb what it craves?”
A test of sorts, it seemed. Perhaps seeing if Gale would truly want him once the boots were gone, just him with no frills.
Astarion pushed harder, pressing his boot into the orb’s hungry glow. The magic that had clung to the boots was sucked out in an instant, pulled toward the orb and gulped down greedily. Gale gasped as the orb shimmered brighter, its gnashing hunger consuming the enchantment from the boots right off Astarion’s foot.
In seconds, the boot dissolved—vanishing from Astarion’s foot as though it had never been there, leaving his foot bare. Gale’s eyes were wide, his chest heaving as he watched the magic drain away. Astarion quickly made sure the other boot got the same treatment before the orb’s pulse dimmed.
Astarion chuckled darkly, lifting his now-bare foot and wiggling his toes. “Well, look at that. I suppose your orb is satisfied, hmm?” He glanced down at Gale, the wicked amusement never leaving his expression. “But tell me, Gale… are you satisfied now that the boots are gone?”
Gale’s heart pounded, his gaze fixed on Astarion’s bare foot. The truth buzzed in his mind. It was never the magic, never the boots. It was always Astarion. And now, stripped bare, all that was left was the raw desire for the elf.
“Please,” Gale begged, not even sure what he was asking for.
Astarion’s bare toes curled slightly into the dirt before he shifted his weight. Without hesitation, he delivered another swift kick, his foot connecting with Gale’s ribs. The absence of the boot didn’t dull the impact—if anything, it made the sensation more visceral, more intimate. The force sent a shockwave through Gale, pain blossoming in his side, but the addicting thrill of it only intensified.
Gale’s body trembled as he fought to stay grounded, his mind spinning with a tangled mix of pain and pleasure. “Please…” he gasped again, voice cracking, unable to stop himself from begging for more. The desperate need clawed at his insides, consuming any sense of shame or restraint he might have once clung to.
Astarion watched him with cold amusement, his eyes sharp as he pressed his bare foot against Gale’s chest again, this time slow, deliberate. He leaned down, his tone thick with condescension. “You really are so pathetic, aren’t you, Gale? Groveling like this, begging for me to hurt you.”
He dug his toes into Gale’s skin, pressing harder, relishing the way Gale squirmed beneath him. Gale’s head tilted back, eyes fluttering shut as a groan bubbled up and out of his throat. The sensation was overwhelming—each touch, each jolt of pain sent waves of need crashing through him, and all he could do was writhe beneath Astarion’s foot, desperate for it.
Astarion’s curel laughter echoed in his ears. “It’s almost endearing, how low you’ve sunk,” Astarion continued, applying just enough pressure to make Gale gasp for breath.
He kicked him again, this time with more force, sending Gale sprawling back onto the ground. Gale’s body reacted instinctively as he curled inward to shield himself from another blow—pain radiating through his ribs, but the ache only furthered his excitement.
Astarion leaned over, his bare foot hovering just above Gale’s chest, taunting. “Say it again,” he demanded softly, his voice dripping with cruelty. “Beg for it.”
Gale’s breath was ragged, his body throbbing, but he couldn’t stop the words from tumbling out. “Please,” he gasped, eyes half-lidded, utterly consumed by his need for Astarion’s dominance. “Please... hurt me again.”
Astarion wasted no time taking full advantage of the newfound freedom his bare feet provided. With a predatory grace, he shifted his weight and stepped directly onto Gale’s groin, pressing down with the soft arch of his foot. The sensation was electric, igniting a spark of pain that shot through Gale’s body, the pressure of Astarion’s toes squeezing gently against his ballsack.
Gale’s breath hitched in his throat, a strangled gasp escaping his lips as pleasure and discomfort intertwined, blurring the lines of what he thought he could endure. “Astarion,” he breathed, his voice trembling, but there was no escaping the way his body responded to the treatment—harder, needier, craving more.
Astarion leaned down, his fingers tangling in Gale's hair, pulling sharply to force his head back. Gale’s eyes widened as he felt the sharp tug, the pain sending a wave of sensation rushing through him, drawing his gaze upward to meet Astarion's piercing stare. “Look at me, Gale,” Astarion commanded, his voice low and intoxicating. “I want to see the pleasure on your face. I want to see how much you enjoy this.”
Gale’s heart raced, his eyes fluttering with a mix of fear and longing. Astarion’s foot pressed down harder, his dexterous toes shifting to explore, pinching and squeezing, forcing Gale to experience a new level of sensation. The combination of pain from the hair-pull and the pressure between his legs sent shivers racing up his spine.
“Are you still so pathetic, begging for more?” Astarion taunted, a cruel smile playing on his lips. “I can feel you throbbing beneath my foot. Tell me how much you love it.”
Gale struggled to speak, his mouth dry, but the words tumbled out in a rush, desperate and raw. “I love it. I love it, Astarion. Please, don’t stop.” The honesty of his confession hung in the air, shrouded in shame yet burning with undeniable truth.
Astarion chuckled darkly, clearly enjoying Gale’s submission. “Oh, I wouldn’t dream of it.” He pressed down harder, relishing the way Gale squirmed beneath him, the mixture of pain and pleasure writ large on his face.
With a wicked glint in his eye, Astarion continued to work his foot, varying the pressure as he let his toes dance over Gale’s sensitive skin. “You’re such a good little plaything,” he murmured, and Gale couldn't help but whimper at the compliment, the praise igniting something primal within him.
Astarion’s foot continued its torturous, deliberate dance, each step onto Gale’s aching cock sending a fresh wave of searing pain through him, heightening the unbearable tension building in his body. The pressure of Astarion’s toes, now focused on Gale’s most sensitive spots, was relentless, sharp and precise, as if he knew exactly how to toy with Gale’s limits, walking the edge of agony and ecstasy.
Gale’s hips jumped uncontrollably beneath him, the force of the sensations leaving him gasping for breath. His mind was a haze of raw need, his body acting on its own completely as it responded to the sharp spikes of pain with an overwhelming surge of pleasure. Astarion looked down at him with that same sadistic smirk, utterly in control, his foot pressing down harder with each movement.
“Such a disgusting, pathetic mess,” Astarion bit out with no real malice behind it, “and you can’t even stop yourself, can you?”
The words barely registered through the fog of sensation clouding Gale’s mind. His vision was blurry, body trembling, and with just a few more painful presses of Astarion’s bare foot against his throbbing cock, Gale was undone. His orgasm tore through him with a force that left him breathless and nearly choking, his hips bucking violently despite the weight of Astarion pinning him down. He couldn’t stop the flood of pleasure that erupted from him, spilling hot and sticky into his trousers.
Gale’s moan was a wet and choked-out thing, his entire body wracked with tremors from the intensity. He felt utterly wrecked, his chest heaving, Astarion’s foot still pressing against him, drawing out every last rope of cum.
Astarion chuckled, the sound low and dark, full of satisfaction. “Oh, you really are not what I thought you were.” His foot lifted and he teasingly toed at Gale’s balls, seemingly making fun of the man.
Gale lay there for a few long moments, chest still rising and falling in the afterglow of everything that had happened. The air felt heavy, as though it too was caught up in the intensity of what had just transpired; But there was something deeper stirring in him now.
Without thinking on it further, Gale pushed himself up slightly and urged Astarion to take a seat on the log. Gale’s hand moved towards Astarion’s ankle, fingers ghosting over the bare skin. He felt remnants of the raw, intoxicating connection between them, but it wasn’t hunger that drove him this time.
Astarion raised an eyebrow, as if expecting some new plea, some new act of depravity from the wizard, but Gale didn’t speak. He simply wrapped his fingers gently around Astarion’s foot, holding it tenderly. He let out a quiet breath, thumb brushing over the delicate arch, exploring the way the skin felt beneath his touch.
Astarion looked down at him with a flicker of confusion, the sharpness in his eyes softening slightly. “What are you doing?” he asked, his voice low, not mocking but with a genuine curiosity.
Gale didn’t answer right away. Instead, he began to knead the sole of Astarion’s foot with gentle, careful pressure, his fingers working in slow circles. He wasn’t asking for anything, really. This wasn’t a performance or a transaction; it was just Gale wanting to touch him, to give him something good.
“I just…” Gale murmured, mostly focused on his task, not daring to look up yet. “I want to do this for you.”
Astarion blinked, his expression flickering between amusement and something unreadable. For a moment, he seemed unsure how to react, as if no one had ever simply wanted to touch him like this—without an ulterior motive, without the transactional weight in the air.
The silence stretched between them, but Gale wasn’t bothered by it. He kept his touch steady, working into the arch of Astarion’s foot, his hands warm and careful. The world outside their small campfire felt distant, and the orb in his chest, usually buzzing angrily with hunger, was quiet now, content almost.
Astarion shifted his weight a bit, his face shifting into something soft and contemplative. He didn’t pull his foot away; instead relaxing into the touch, his shoulders easing slightly, tension unraveling bit by bit.
“You’re full of surprises, Gale,” Astarion murmured after a long pause, his voice thoughtful. His eyes flickered with something Gale couldn’t quite place—a vulnerability, perhaps, buried deep beneath the usual layers of sarcasm and wit.
Gale smiled softly. There was no expectation, no demand, just quiet understanding between the two. “I suppose I am,” Gale replied softly, his hands still moving, his touch light and deliberate. He wasn’t sure what would come next, neither of them were, but for now, this was nice. This quiet, shared moment, the unexpected intimacy between them. And for the first time in days, Gale felt like he didn’t have to fight or beg or chase.
He could just be. He felt the sense of belonging creep in; here in the warmth of the fire, at Astarion’s feet. It was… right.
