Work Text:
Some say their long reigning queen is cruel. Caitlyn has been known to be harsh and she’ll inflict punishments on any and all who dare to tempt her. There isn’t a war that she hasn’t won and with her streak, there isn’t one on the horizon that she’ll lose. Those that demand her wrath will face it, one way or another.
Of course, she isn’t completely merciless. Vi has seen her softer side, a side their queen saves only for her most beloved of consorts.
Her cold nature and icy gaze could freeze the blood in anyone’s veins. Dark hair falls around her like tangles of seaweed and her eyes are bluer than the ocean itself. Finally, her long tentacles splay out from below her waist, providing her with support and extra appendages for when her hands are full.
“Violet,” she hums. “I’ve missed you.”
“You’ve been gone,” Vi replies. Caitlyn is always off performing whatever duty needs seeing.
“I've been busy ,” Caitlyn corrects her. “I would have come sooner but I’ve been kept away.”
“What was it this time? A new lover?” Vi asks bitterly. “Save it, I don’t want to hear it.”
“You know you’re the only one in my heart.”
It’s hard to believe. She’s a queen, she can have anyone that she wants. Vi is just one lonely consort, easily replaceable at her whim. One snap of her fingers and Vi will be worth less than the sand collecting in her suckers.
“Don’t look so forlorn.” Caitlyn frowns. “Tell me, what’s bothering you?”
“I spoke to Corina while you were away.”
Caitlyn’s expression darkens. “Corina? What did you speak about?”
It feels like Corina’s only goal in life is to make Vi envious. She’s whispered so many doubts into Vi’s head to the point that Vi has started to believe her. Usually, she’s so strong but Corina has found the right ways to break her.
“It doesn’t matter.” Vi shakes her head. “Just forget it.”
“If her aim was to make you jealous then don’t be. As I’ve said, you’re the only one in my heart.”
“Words mean nothing, Caitlyn. I’ve seen what happens to your other consorts when you’ve forgotten them.”
Caitlyn’s eyes flash. “Shall I prove it to you, then? What must I do? Grovel at your feet like a handmaiden?”
“What the hell would that prove?”
Caitlyn cocks her head to the side. “A child, then.”
“A child?” Vi scoffs.
“Yes. One of our own. The heir to my throne.”
She’s serious about this. It isn’t just some joke or some empty promise.
“Really?” Vi asks, cautiously. “Do you really want that?”
“There’s no one else that I’d rather choose than you.”
Her hand comes up to cup Vi’s cheek. She strokes it gently and watches the blush rise as blood pools beneath the skin. A child, of all things. She knows how much Vi wants one.
Their bed is soft, woven from undersea fauna. Caitlyn rarely spends the night in it and it feels too cold and too big whenever she isn’t here. With her, it feels just right, nothing is missing anymore.
Vi’s clothes come away under Caitlyn’s touch. Shimmery fish scale cloth and woven seagrass are the makeup of each layer. Beneath it, Vi’s skin is scarred, marred by the sharpest of weapons. She had once been Caitlyn’s greatest warrior before Caitlyn took her in as a consort.
Caitlyn’s strong tentacles pin Vi to the bed, her wrists, her ankles, even her waist. Making love to her isn’t for the weak, most would shatter under her.
One of Caitlyn’s free tentacles comes up to force its way into Vi’s mouth. It’s not that she minds, she’s always had a bit of an oral fixation, but she never really gets used to Caitlyn’s sheer size. While her mouth is one thing, the aching void between her legs is another. It almost hurts when Caitlyn penetrates her.
“There,” Caitlyn coos, breathlessly. “Do you think someone like Corina can compare to you? You take me so well.”
Vi grunts and readjusts her hips. Fuck, this is too much. Caitlyn’s tentacle fills her completely, worming its way in so deep that there’s no room left to go and still, she’s demanding more space.
“Come now, you can take more,” Caitlyn says. “Can’t you?”
Vi nods, still choking on Caitlyn’s extra appendage.
If it’s even possible, Caitlyn pushes in deeper. She gasps in shock at the sudden and intense pleasure. How she doesn’t come from that is a miracle.
Vi back arches off the bed and tears spring into her eyes. The thought of Caitlyn making anyone else feel like this drives her mad. A part of her wants to kill Corina at the mere thought of Caitlyn even looking her way. She wants Caitlyn all to herself, she refuses to share her even a little.
“The way you’re moving.” Caitlyn chokes. “I’m going to–”
She doesn’t get to finish her sentence before she comes. Her tentacle acts like a cock, filling Vi with her seed. It’s all well and good but it doesn’t guarantee anything. There’s no confirmation that Vi will be pregnant from this.
Even after Caitlyn pulls away, Vi’s tears won’t stop flowing. She should have never agreed to being her lover, not when she knew she would have to constantly compete for Caitlyn’s affections. Her younger self was so foolish to think she could change Caitlyn and win her over.
“Don’t cry, my Love,” Caitlyn hushes her. “Was I too rough with you?”
Vi refuses to look her in the eyes because she knows that if she does, she’ll cave. That beautiful shade of blue is her ultimate weakness.
“Leave Corina.” Vi wants it to sound like a threat but the shake in her voice ruins any chance of that. “I won’t share you.”
“You know I can’t do that.”
That could break her heart but Vi won’t let it. At least not tonight, not in front of her.
“Fine,” Vi whispers. “Sleep in her bed and leave me in mine.”
