It had been about two weeks since the “toreador march” incident, and Luz was spending her day at the Owl House, listening to music on her phone just relaxing, nothing going on.
“Luz!!”
And there it is.
“Yes Eda,” Luz called, pausing the music video she has been watching.
“You’re responsible for this whole fnuf crazy, right,” Eda asked.
“Kind of, turns out Gus really got into it, and he showed the rest of the human appreciation society, and it kinda snowballed from there.”
“Right,” Eda said, “I just wanted to know where that Freddy Fazbear’s pizza place is. King really wants to go there.”
“Ok,” Luz said, “I hate to disappoint King but there is no Freddy Fazbear’s pizza, it just made up for the games.”
“I know that, but you’re telling me no one has made a real one?”
“Well there were a couple of pop-up ones, but nothing long term,” Luz replied, “honestly I wish someone would, I'm sure it would make tons of money.”
“Really,” Eda said with a sly smile forming on her face.
Later that night, the door to the boiling isles opened, as a pair of cloaked figures stepped out in the cool night air of the human realm.
“You two are late,” Eda said, leaning against a tree.
“Well I was working on my lesson plan for tomorrow, you know for the class I teach at your school,” Edric complained, pulling his hood down.
“Liar, you were sleeping when I came to get you. Titan, you're almost as bad as dad,” Emira said.
“Look, save you squabbling, we have a job to do. Now do you two know about FNAF?”
“Do we ever! Mittens have been watching FNAF theories on mewtube all week. I swear to Titan if I have to hear the game theory intro one more time I'm going to lose it.”
“Right, well I've got a plan to get rich off this FNAF stuff: opening my own Freddy Fazbear's location on the boiling isles!”
“Okay Eda,” Emira said, “but why are we here then?”
“Well, if I'm making a Freddy Fazbear's, I'll need animatronics, and from what I've heard, they made real ones for the movie and that they're just sitting in some theme park, so we're going to steal them!”
Eda could tell by the looks on the twins faces that they weren't fully onboard with the plan, luckily she was prepared for this.
“Well,” Eda said with a sigh, “clearly you two don't think you have the skills to pull over something like this, I can just find someone else.”
“We’re in!”
Hook line and sinker.
“Right,” Eda said, “the plan is simple; the four of us will-”
“Wait,” Edric asked, “four?”
“Weh!”
Eda reached around in her hair, before grabbing King by the scruff of his neck and dropping him to the ground.
“I told you that you can't keep hiding in my hair, you're getting too big to fit in there!!”
“Never!!”
“Ok,” Eda said, “as I was saying, the four of us will fly to the park in California, then you two will make us look like park staff, we sneak in, grab the animatronics, and get out, easy as sneaking into the Conformatorium.”
“Okay Eda,” Emira said “first of all, isn't California on the other side of the country, and second, aren't those animatronics like 7 feet tall? How would we even get them back here?”
“Haha, you kids overthink everything don't you? For one, the human realm doesn't have a lot of predator like Snagvines or Flarodactyls so you can get pretty far on a Palismen without worrying about getting snatched out of the air, and as for the other problem…”
Eda pulled out a briefcase, with an identical pattern to the portal door the twins had just come through, before it unfolded into any exact replica of said door.”
“Tada!”
“Eda, is that another portal door,” Edric asked, clearly surprised.
“Yep, after The Collector came by to fix the door after Luz, Goops, and Hunter broke it that one time I figured having a backup was a good idea, plus it's super simple to use: if you open it anywhere in the human realm it links to the main door on the boiling isles and vice versa.”
“So we can just push the animatronics through the door and we're home free?”
“Now you kids are getting it,” Eda said “Now mount up we still have a lot of flying to do!”
The twins hadn't been able to get Palismen during Palismen adoption day and the chaos from the Day of Unity and The Collector had meant they had to wait a while before they could get a Palismen, this meant however that they were some of the first in line when Hunter and Dell had announced that they were going to be reopening Dell’s Palismen carving business, the twins pointing out that when Luz and Amity inevitably get married the twins and Hunter would be in-laws to cut the line.
Edric had commissioned a bat, who he had somewhat uninspiredly named Batric jr, whereas Emira had gone for a velociraptor she named Jim, Hunter had so desperately wanted to ask why, but decided against questioning the girl holding a velociraptor. Quickly the three witches mounted their staffs, King riding with Eda, as they took off in the night.
After a surprisingly quick flight, only having to stop once so Edric could see the Mystery Hole, the quartet landed outside of Universal Studios Hollywood.
“Right, you two make with the disguises.”
Edric and Emira quickly spun their fingers, disguising the group as park employees.
“Um, Eda, we might have a problem.”
The trio turned to look at King who looked absolutely ridiculous in the park uniform.
“Ok, plan B then.”
Eda grabbed a nearby hand truck, pushing one of the many trash cans by the entrance onto it and stuffing King into it.
“Hey there's a half eaten donut in here,” King yelled from inside the can.
“Ok let's get this show on the road.”
The four walked through the park,before slipping to the building where the animatronics were kept.
“Dang,’ Edric said, “These guys are bigger in person.”
Eda was about to open the portal door when she heard the telltale sound of a door being pushed open.
“Quick, hide,” Eda called out as the group ducked into the shadows.
“I don't get why you need me to come with you, Vincent, these things are just over glorified mannequins.”
“Look, Ronaldo, I know you aren't afraid of these things, but they're 7 feet tall, I don't get why you're not creeped out by them!”
“Whatever, they're all still here, let's just head back to the security booth before Dave eats all the pizza.”
The two security guards left the building as Eda let out a breath that she didn't know she was holding.
“Get these things through the door before they get back,” Eda yelled.
Soon after the team had managed to push the five animatronics through the door into the owl house’s living room, with the group in the kitchen for a celebratory drink.
“Ok, enough celebrating, we have to get these things out of the house before-.”
“EDA,” Raine yelled from the living room, “WHY ARE THERE ANIMATRONICS IN THE LIVING ROOM????!!!”
“Raine wakes up.”
