The Difference Good Parents Make

Summary:

Mikan Charlotte, otherwise known as M.C., has a secret she's been keeping from everyone—she is a reincarnation of Mikan Tsumiki, former terrorist and Ultimate Despair. Her past life was one a strife, but Mikan has (mostly) put in behind her.

But... How would the RFA (+Saeran) react to the truth of her secrets?

Hehehehe...

Why don't we find out?

Chapter Text

“Where… are we?”

Saeyoung Luciel was immediately alarmed when he woke up somewhere completely foreign, and for good reason. It wasn't something new; he's been kidnapped many times as apart of his job, but no one has gotten such a jump on him since his early days. More concerning, he has no clue how it happened, when he had passed out and moved to a secondary location. Even worse than that—

“Whoever kidnapped me will pay.”

“Eek, where am I?!”

“Everyone, please calm down…”

The whole RFA was here.

No one from his spy activities should even know them. Luciel is a hacker; a good hacker, and a good programmer . Their existence was protected by him . No one should know. No one should have known

So. He forced himself to calm. Either A, he failed, and someone realized his connection to the RFA and decided to target them. A bitter pill to swallow, but not impossible . Or, B, this had nothing to do with his spy activity; instead, the RFA was targeted on its own merit. Likely, all things considered; they've been targeted by that tricky hacker for almost a month now. Good things have come of it, of course. MC joined because of it. But . It was an unknown, and that was a threat. Maybe this is just an escalation of the threat.

Even V was here. What a shit show, honestly. Luciel resists the urge to sigh.

But—there was, well, three anomalies, he could see, now that he is looking around. First: a figure wearing a cloak, definitely not one of the RFA, very shady. Possible person behind the whole thing. And second: MC herself, looking at the third anomaly like she's seen a ghost.

Speaking of the third anomaly: it's a high schooler with pink, flippy hair and clear rage under her candy-sweet smile.

“Chiaki?” MC speaks, whispers, “How are you… alive…? And... here?”

This “Chiaki”’s eyes flash, and Luciel feels her anger as if it's a physical force on his skin. His instincts scream: this girl is dangerous.

(New theory. One he hadn't considered. Whoever this was, she wasn't after any of them—but their newest member.)

“Hello, Mikan-chan.” She smiled. “Did you really think you could run?”
