Work Header

obedience is a virtue

Summary:

Felix loves with all of his heart.

Chan basks in awe of that love, radiant as the sun, as he works with Changbin to bring their baby down, slowly and gently, to a place where only good boys go.

KinkTober Day 6: Praise Kink (Chan/Changbin/Felix)

Notes:

This story is set around eighteen months after Felix began to present - so around late summer, early autumn 2021.

In this story, there will be some warnings:

- Jeongin is horrible to Felix. There is a lot to unpack with him, his difficulty in understanding his place in the pack, his misogyny, and his confusion in processing Felix's transitioning role within the pack. Rest assured, Jeongin will unpack this with Chan later. He does not hate Felix, he does not have a bully problem, he is just handling himself very badly and dealing with a lot of emotional challenges. We will see this resolved but I want you to be reassured, he is not a bad person in these stories and he will come out of this the other side a better and more loving Jeongin. If you are not sure why he is like this, please read Sanctuary of Yesterday, Chapter Nine as it explores more of where this attitude came from.

- The pack practices domestic discipline, and there are references to punishment throughout this, although there are no explicit scenes of it.

- Chan is doing this because it is medically prescribed. He does not require explicit permission from Felix because Felix has given blanket consent to this when Chan accepted his alphaship. If this makes you uncomfortable, then you may not wish to read this.

- Since it may be confusing, in this world, there is a lot of discrimnation against full omega. It is not a 'safe world' and it is important to remember that.

(See the end of the work for more notes.)

Work Text:

“Leave me alone!”

Chan pulls one of his AirPods out, waiting to see if he hears it again or if the sad little whine was a one off. In their pack, it’s not unheard of for Jisung to pout and beg for his jagi to stop being so mean to him. It’s never serious - Jisung is more than capable of fighting his own corner if he wanted to - but he can whine like a puppy when he is pretending to feel hard done by (or he really does - it’s kind of Jisung’s thing to just whine at Minho until he gets some kind of attention).

He would like it to be a one off - he has plans - but he’s suspicious that it isn’t going to be. He suspects it’ll be worse than -

“No! Stop it!” And that’s his cue that not all is well. The cry is plaintive, hard done by, and the scent that accompanies it is… unhappy. It is also very clear that the person who said it is very much overwhelmed.

Chan sighs, putting down his phone and his pencil.

There goes his fucking peace and quiet.

He had intended to spend the next hour making some notes on their next album - there’s some more things to iron out with their ‘official team’, the ones who decide how they’re going to look and sound for each comeback. They have to have nailed down their concept and the direction that the company is looking for in their next work before 3Racha can really dig into producing.

There’s always so many questions to go through, as well. Is the album going to be hard and heavy? What lore will there be? What’s the ‘in’ sound at the moment? Are they chasing a trend or trying to set one? Are they going to play up a theme or is it more of a conventional approach? (It never is a conventional approach but someone will always ask the question and it’ll have to be argued over until Stray Kids, the management, and the grand fucking dicks at the top all collectively agree to go with something much more stylised). And of course, there’s the inevitable fight over Felix that Chan has been putting off for about three weeks, and how they want to style him, how his ‘accommodations’ will be met, and how his voice will appear on their tracks (it’ll appear however the fuck Chan decides and that’ll be it. No fucking debate required).

“Come back here and listen to me!”

“No!”

Across from him, sitting on another camping chair, with his own notebook in his hands, Changbin pulls an earbud out and sighs. “Our baby and our littlest alpha?”

“Who else would it be?”

As a pack, they generally don’t fight. They’ve moved on from days of throwing fists, of having a shoving match to determine who is right, and Chan is long past having to separate members who are a little too long in the fang. While there’s always a few spats here and there - over food, space, sex - it rarely gets to the point where someone has to intervene.

They’re more laid back than they were when they debuted and while the stress hasn’t reduced, they’ve learned ways and means of coping with it. Changbin hits the gym, Jeongin and Seungmin game, Hyunjin draws and paints, Minho makes dinner (diced very small with a very sharp knife). On the other hand, Chan goes swimming and Jisung… well, he retreats to his books if he’s being good and to Chan’s room for chains if he’s feeling bad. It’s still kind of a toss up with him.  But their baby? He used to be like Chan, going swimming to relieve his stress but that’s no longer an option at the moment, and so far, they’ve not really found his coping mechanism. At least, not one they can do consistently, pandemic non-with-standing.

And it’s really coming to bear on this trip.

They’ve been at the campground barely a day and Felix is already overtired, over being crammed in a tent with Minho, and over the extensive list of rules again. Chan gets it. Spending every waking hour of the day within a metre of Minho, rarely allowed to be alone, always needing someone to give him permission to use a phone or go up and down steps even if it’s only half a dozen. It’s never ending - always having someone escort him to the bathroom, the showers, telling him it’s bed time or it’s meds time or he needs to eat…

It’s hard. It really is. Chan is not underestimating that - Felix has a very structured, very rules based life right now. Pleasing himself is not an option and that’s difficult for someone like the baby.

But that’s not been the worst problem.

No, that would be the littlest alpha in the pack. He’s got a fucking bug up his arse since before they left to come to the campground and it’s been getting worse by the hour. Everything Felix does, Jeongin wants to know about it. He wants to help with meds - Seungmin has that on lock and he does not need an assistant - he wants to choose Felix’s food - Minho is more than capable of that - he wants to be the one to tell Felix it’s nap time or bed time or shower time, and Chan isn’t quite sure why he thinks that is his responsibility when it never has been and it abso-fucking-lutely never will be.

But Jeongin has a problem with all of it. But now that Jeongin’s got a problem, he’s busy making it everybody else’s problem, and this is becoming all too familiar.

“Do we leave them to it?” Chan shoves his pencil behind his ear, his eyes beginning to red up, just a little bit in the sunshine. Changbin doesn't like Jeongin's attitude, either.

It’s a reasonable question. If it was Jisung and Minho, for example, Chan would stay well out of that fight. For all that he is their alpha, he’s also a pragmatic man. Minho does not need an alpha to intervene when he’s got an issue with Jisungie and Jisung can hold his own. Same with Seungmin and Jisung or Hyunjin and Jisung, or Changbin and Jisung, or well, everybody and Jisung. Jisung has a well deserved reputation. But the same rule would apply for anybody else, really - no matter who they are, the pack is all generally old enough and calm enough to shout about it for a while and then figure out a solution. The most that might happen is some hair pulling and ninety percent of that would come from Hyunjin (he is… infamous for it).

But when it comes to Felix, Chan has a rule - intervene hard and intervene early.

He doesn’t let the others fight with the baby. He’s never allowed it to happen. Right from the beginning, before he even brought Felix home from the hospital, that was a rule that Chan wanted to bring in and he’s held everybody to it ever since. Partly, it’s because Felix is the most junior member - as a presenting full omega, he stands below Jeongin - and is therefore the one Chan needs to take under his wing the most, actively demonstrating to the courts that he is deeply involved in Felix’s discipline process.

But also… there’s a much more important reason.

It’s for Felix’s own protection.

In a fight, there are… unspoken rules between dynamics, between ranks, between senior and junior. The others know them instinctively, having been raised on them for many many years, and they demonstrate them when needed. Whether it’s the act of submission or accepting that, whether it’s using scent to communicate, or just understanding when to lower one’s gaze… the rest of the pack are well versed in that kind of behaviour.

Not so much for the baby. Felix cannot read the room the same way the pack can, struggling to tell the difference between a playfight and a serious one. He doesn’t know the line between respect and not when it comes to ranks and interactions between them and he’s not really able to understand the hierarchy in society between alpha and full. Unintentionally, Felix is often rude as fuck and in a fight between an angry alpha and Felix, he might… push some buttons he didn’t mean to.

And there’s the glaring fact that he can’t hold his own against them if it turned physical. Felix is no longer as fit and strong as he used to be, with muscles cultivated by years in the gym and the swimming pool, lithe but sturdy. He’s lost too much weight, too much muscle mass to be able to fight back and have even a small chance of success against even another full. Minho is strong enough to take on Seungmin and Jeongin, manhandling them into submission and over his knee or down to the floor - Felix has no goddamn chance against him. And Jisung… well, Jisung is in his own category of dangerous. And even beyond the fulls in the pack, there’s no way their baby can fight his own corner against someone like an alpha

Especially against an alpha.

Even though Jeongin is not yet finished presenting, he’s definitely not sweet and soft and small, the same way he used to be. He forgets, Chan is sure of it. He doesn’t think how he looks standing over Felix, throwing his weight around, putting a finger into Felix’s face and berating him.  He looks like his father does and the comparison is not a flattering one.

Jeongin is within a hairsbreadth of being a man, at least on the outside, and that is fucking intimidating as all get out for Felix who is absolutely not fully grown in any respect. Jeongin stands almost half a head taller than him now, and he’s been to the gym, working out consistently for months now, unlike Felix who gets a half hour stretching exercise regime led by Minho and a daily walk with Changbin that barely tops out at about fifteen minutes. Combined with the fact that Felix is shorter than him now, and significantly lighter ( and weaker, the alpha voice in the back of Chan’s head helpfully supplies), and Jeongin has no idea how it looks to an outsider as he stands over the baby, lecturing him and telling him all the ways that Jeongin wants him to behave from now on.

But Chan does.

And it paints an ugly picture.

He can see them fighting now, between the cars, over in the firepit area. Hyunjin and the three youngest were supposed to be clearing down from the pack’s early lunch and filming. Hyunjin and Seungmin were assigned to do the washing up and are currently elbow deep in soapy water over the other side of the camp ground, surrounded by laundry bins full of bowls, cutlery, and the grill plates from the barbeque. Unfortunately, while Seungmin and Hyunjin look like they are agreeably talking as they wash up, bright yellow gloves on, over by the fire pit, things are going… less well.

And that’s an understatement.

“Leave me alone!” Felix is definitely not okay. “We’re supposed to be tidying up - let’s just get that done -”

“No. I’m your hyung. You should listen to me!” Jeongin is… also verging on upset. Something about this fight is getting to him, too, cutting at him to make him actually angry. He’s not just pulling at Felix’s pigtails, teasing him as is his habit now. No, this time he’s annoyed and taking it out on someone who doesn’t deserve it. “I said that you need to -”

“You’re not my hyung!”

“I’m bigger than you!” That is a bad argument and one that Chan will be disciplining Jeongin for. Size doesn’t matter in the pack, above or below the belt, and Jeongin should keep that in mind at all times.

“I’m - leave me alone!” Felix isn’t handling the situation well - he’s never been particularly good in a fight. Chan knows this. He lacks Minho’s ability to manhandle his opponent or Seungmin’s ability to use words to cut to the core. And of course, he is no fighter, for all of his medals. He is a born peacemaker and his natural instinct when it’s him that is involved in a fight is to disengage, looking for an out rather than a win.

It’s an interesting point of psychological difference (and God, how different it is to Han who could really have used some of that in the past), but it also doesn’t work with someone like Jeongin who is like a dog with a bone.

This is a new development, albeit not a good one. Chan watches them, waiting half hidden in his seat by the vans to see what happens. He’s here - he will intervene soon - but he wants to see if Jeongin will read the room or if he’ll back the fuck up. Jeongin is big on telling Chan he’s ready to get his red collar, he’s ready to pass his exams, and he’s a good pack member, helping everybody to be their best selves.

Chan begs to differ.

Felix is picking up a tray full of trash, sliding it into the plastic bag at his feet, ignoring the broken jug that Jeongin has clearly knocked off the table. The rule in the pack is you make the mess, you clear it up, and Chan expects all members to follow it at the same time. It seems, however, his littlest alpha has chosen not to follow said rule. No, Jeongin is furiously gesturing with the broom, offering it out to Felix as if it’s his job to clean up Jeongin’s mess.

That’s two more rules broken then. Jeongin is having a very bad day if he thinks he can break three rules and get away with it.

But that is also Chan’s hint that he needs to help the baby and he may as well start properly with him.

“Go set the van up,” he says to Changbin. “We’ll… we’ll start now.”

“Anything in particular?”

“Get me a blindfold. We’ll do it together.”

“Okay. Does Minho need to be on standby?”

“Yes.” Chan hears the sound of something breaking - probably another glass from the set the jug came from - and he stands up. “Go. Now.”

Changbin leaves, in the direction of the van, putting his headphones into his pocket, as he goes. Chan trusts him to do it right, to get the van set up how he wants it because this is going to be the first time and it has to be right.

Yeah, it’s time for the van. Chan has been holding back on it since the beginning. It’s been over a year since Felix first started to present and at first, it wasn’t necessary. But things have been changing slowly over the last few months and both Minho and Changbin have been advising him that it’s time to bring in the van soon.

Soon is a loose concept but… they were right.

In the last few months, Felix has begun to… mature. He’s no longer quite in the fight for his life, barely holding onto weight, in and out of surgery, his brain transitioning unwillingly, slowly, painfully into new hormones, new medicines, and new understandings of the world around him. No, now his brain is walking down new pathways, his body blossoming slowly into the mould the surgeons laid down for him months before.

And his heats are coming.

They always knew it was coming - it is part of being a full omega after all - but the theory of it is very different to reality and Chan is having to confront this now, head on, that his baby is now growing up more than ever.

He’s not yet at the big ones, the ones that make Jisung and Minho slick at a moment’s notice, desperate to breed, seeking sex and pleasure like it’s the only thing that will sustain them through life, the ones that will happen every six to eight weeks for decades and decades. Those ones cause Jisung and Minho to become consumed with being knotted, demanding more and more affection and attention, because their entire world becomes focused on their need to fuck and love, nothing more and nothing less.

No, Felix is at the point of his little heats, the precursors to the big ones that will dominate his life until he's old and grey. Doctor Kim said they're like practice runs to get his body ready for when he will truly have a heat, testing the pathways and his responses, making sure that the pack understands him, that they draw close to him and help him through it. They are barely more than a blip on the radar for Felix, not even enough to be consciously aware of, but he’s likely having one right now based on his behaviour and the changes in his scent. Chan is relatively sure of it and will act accordingly, but he can’t be positive unless Felix is patient enough to let him shove a swab up his vagina to do a chemical test on his slick and he really doesn’t think that Felix is in the mood to let that happen. But if Chan is right, that’s what’s making him like this, overwhelmed, overemotional, and just plain over everything.

And you know. Jeongin is being an absolute fuckwit and that is being kind.

But he doesn’t have a lot of time to wait to observe - Jeongin is getting louder and louder and Felix’s scent is getting more and more desperate. Chan knows why. Normally Felix would be able to self regulate, pulling himself away from the situation or calling for a hyung to help him. He’s quite good at that - seeking out a higher authority than his own to help him when shit hits the fan because Felix is a good boy. But not right now. Right now, Felix is no longer capable of making those kinds of decisions. He is panicking, Chan is sure of it, needing someone to step in for him because his mind is in overdrive and coming up with nothing useful except panicpanicpanicpanicpanic.

Watching him carefully, Chan tilts his head. He thinks he might have pinpointed the reason for Felix’s inability to extract himself from this fight. He knows that gesture, the way that Felix is rubbing his belly ( it’s a tummy, Jisung’s voice insistently tells him), pressing his palm against the softness there, his fingers trying to massage away a sting that won’t fade for many minutes yet.

The pain is expected because Felix has had his next round of daily medications. This is his early afternoon batch, a handful of pills, two puffs of his blue inhaler and one of his pink inhaler, all carefully administered by Seungmin, watched over by Minho. But also, this batch of medicines is the least pleasant of all of them, because it includes the injection that Seungmin officially writes as Homaglosafide, and records in his Record of Health for Felix as a 1.5ml dose given on his belly, the needle sharp and evil as it slips under his skin, a bruise welling up as Seungmin removes it. Felix says it stings like nettles, biting and stinging at him from the inside out as the drug seeps into his body.

Chan doesn’t doubt that it’s a terrible feeling.

But it’s not just evil going in. Homaglosafide is known for another side effect - one that is, perhaps, much worse. Privately, they all call it the Emotion Bomb, because the drug is loaded with the brain equivalent of explosives, targeting Felix’s emotional control, and it never fails to hit the target. Within minutes of it going in, the drug shoves Felix hard towards emotionally overworked and exhausted, making him brittle, mowing down all of his defences and leaving him vulnerable to a Minho who has decided that he needs a nap. Felix has failed so far to work out that Minho always waits about forty five minutes for the drug to work before cornering him, so that Felix can sleep off the worst of the first couple of hours of the drug. The fact that it makes Felix tired and malleable, eager to please even as he turns soft and glassy eyed after the first wave of frustration and upset is a byproduct Minho is happy to exploit.

But now, Felix is arguing with Jeongin, and the medication is raging, five minutes into that twenty plus minutes of anger and frustration, and instead of paying attention and calming down, recognising Felix’s vulnerability, Jeongin has stoked his anger to meet him.

And Chan is done with the spat.

“That’s enough. ” He says, as he comes around the car, walking towards the firepit.

Felix’s scent is swirling, the sweetness in it very muted, and replaced by a bitter tang that makes Chan want to go over there and hold him to soothe it away, the alpha in him attuned to distress and upset. It’s natural for Felix, his status as still presenting meaning that he is vulnerable and his scent knows it, signalling for someone to come over, soothe his emotions back down. It’s intense, though. Chan remembers Jisung used to be like this, too, his scent begging for help even as he lashed out with fangs and venom. Of course, Felix is not one for lashing out and violence. No, he’s just frustrated and upset, driven near to tears by someone he cares deeply about and Chan feels his own scent flooding out, soaking everything nearby in soothing notes, seeking to deescalate the situation and the heightened emotions.

“Baby, come with me.” He holds out his hand for Felix. He’s bringing Felix under his protection, sending a signal to those around them that Felix’s Prime is here, and that should be enough to end the fight.

Of course that would only happen if Jeongin is willing to let it end.

When Felix tries to come towards him, trying to leave the battleground of the campfire, Innie pulls him back, one hand fisting in the back of Felix’s raincoat, the other scrabbling for Felix’s wrist. The broom is carelessly discarded aside and the broken jug - a hazard, one that must be cleaned up immediately for safety’s sake - left abandoned in the middle of the seating area, glinting in the light.

“No!” Jeongin is seriously too invested in this fight, and that’s an excellent sign they need separating. Jeongin has latched onto his target and he will not let go. “We’re not done here!”

“I don’t want to fight with you!” Felix is crying now, wiping away angry tears as he tries to wrestle Jeongin’s hand off his wrist. “Let me go!”

“We’re not fighting, I’m teaching you a lesson -”

And with that, Jeongin is absolutely fucking done.  It’s not his job to teach Felix a lesson. That has been specifically and painfully excluded from Jeongin’s list of responsibilities towards the baby, no matter how many times Jeongin says he is ready to start.

“Stop. Now.” Chan holds up his hand.

I’m not finished!”

“Excuse me?” He’s being kind - Jeongin should know that Chan heard it good and proper but he wants to see if Jeongin will pull himself back from the brink.

“I said we’re not fucking done here!” Apparently that’s a no to Jeongin self regulating himself and recognising that he is going up against the worst person right now. For the record, Jeongin is wrong on two points there - one, swearing at Chan in public, and two, Chan is the one who decides when a fight is done. Clearly, Jeongin isn’t in the mood to take the off ramp that his Prime so kindly offered him.

Chan doesn’t say anything.

He doesn’t need to.

Felix has no control over his scent but Chan does, and he’s been able to manipulate it for over a decade at this point. He slams it up to the max, the weight of it pressing down on Jeongin in a way he knows that Jeongin cannot match or even resist. Authority is baked into every part of Chan’s scent, the years of his Primacy only deepening them and making it even less escapable. He doesn’t need fucking words to put a point across to an unruly pack member.

Jeongin would do well to remember that fact.

It’s only when Jeongin starts to tremble, the alpha instincts in him finally snapping his brain out of fight mode and into shut the fuck up before you make this worse mode, that Chan speaks.

“You’re done here. Do you understand me?”

“Yes.”

“Yes, what?”

“Yes, Chan-hyung.”

“When I say a fight is over, that’s it. You don’t get to decide otherwise. You don’t get to tell me what to do with my pack member.”

“No, Chan-hyung.”

“The baby is not your slave. You don’t get to dump chores on him because you think you know better.” Chan points at the glass. “Who knocked that off?”

“It was -”

“And think very carefully before you lie to me, little alpha.” Chan doesn’t like lies. Jeongin knows that.

“...Me. I knocked it off when I bumped into the table.”

“So why are you trying to get the baby to clear it up?”

“Cleaning is a full’s job.” The words are sullen and muttered, quiet because Jeongin knows they aren’t true. But he’s still saying them and that’s a bad sign.

“Cleaning is your job, just as much as his.” Chan is not… mad per se but he’s not happy. This needs dealing with. Immediately.

“It’s… I…”

“Don’t make it worse.” Chan holds his hand out for Felix and the gesture is clear. “Let go of the baby.”

“Yes, hyung.” Jeongin lets him go, every inch of his scent saying it’s unwillingly done but Chan won’t mention that now.

Felix almost runs to Chan’s side, his raincoat rustling and the hood blowing in the breeze. The stylist team let Felix pick his own clothes for this trip and Felix was so excited to pack his little suitcase with all the things he likes. He’s chosen a sweet little coat, sky blue, with clouds printed on it, unzipped and revealing his oversized navy blue t-shirt underneath that Chan swears is his own, and a pair of soft grey sweats that are just shared between the fulls at this point. His veil is a light one, in pale blue, too, and it's one of his favourite ones. Felix looks soft and young today, his long dark hair hair neatly combed back into a half pony tail, and Minho has tied a nice blue ribbon into it. He likes the baby to look pretty and to wear pretty things and the ribbon was one of Changbin's gifts for Full Day in April, as a celebration.

Chan takes his hand, draws him close. “I got you, okay?”

“Thanks.”  It’s English, not Korean, but Chan doesn’t care. Minho would scold him but Minho is not here right now. Felix presses his face into Chan’s shoulder, his whole scent just exhausted and tired and bitter from the fight.

But Jeongin is still looking on, his scent sour and unhappy. Chan will deal with that. “And now, Jeongin, you can take a walk. A full lap around the whole campground should take you long enough to pull yourself together.”

“It’ll start to rain soon!”

“Walk faster.” Chan shrugs. “And after that, you can go and find Minho.” Jeongin groans at that because he knows that Minho won’t tolerate this behaviour from an uppity little alpha who should know better. “You can tell him that you picked a fight with the baby over the hyung rule again, and you can deal with the consequences.”

“He’s with Hyunjin-hyung.”

“Good.” Jeongin’s face does not agree with Chan’s assessment.

Too bad.

Hyunjin has a lot of feelings about Jeongin’s desperate attempts to get in the hyung role. Jeongin tried it with him, about a year ago, determined to make his authority stick with someone. He wouldn’t dare try it with Jisung - Jeongin had that much self preservation, at least - and Seungmin would spank him raw for trying it (Seungmin is too wiley and sharp to be shoved that far down the ranking and Jeongin should know it by now). But there was always Hyunjin who has long been known for being a little bit of a pushover in the pack, the most permissive hyung Jeongin has. He tried to throw his weight around and be authoritative (Chan called it bossy and he thinks that fits much more), demanding better seating, food, and a later bedtime, as if he was a fully presented alpha, able to stand toe to toe with someone who has had their collar for years now.

Hyunjin, far from being a pushover, was having none of it. Hyunjin put Jeongin in his place hard. Chan had never seen Hyunjin stand over someone like that, shoving them into the ground, ordering them to stay down until he was ready to let them up. It was a marked change that was very much needed. Hyunjin established his own third rank against Jeongin’s lack of one and ever since then, Jeongin has had to learn to submit to someone he used to think was easy to manipulate and lacking authority.

Not any more.

Hyunjin’s alpha self just needed an incentive to come out. Chan had seen hints of it - in the fights with Jisung, every so often, there was a strong alpha who fought for the upper hand, who understood how to deal with an unruly full, and who even knew how to use the first kind of Command instinctively. That’s a rare gift, one that not many alphas are born with - most have to be taught by others like their Primes. But Hyunjin was strangely unwilling to accept that, though, despite the fact that, on stage, Chan had seen his eyes, a hot deep red that spoke of a deep and true sense of authority and a powerful alpha nature under the surface. It flickered, waxing and waning in strength, and that showed he needed something to fight for. Chan hadn’t found it before he bought Hyunjin into his pack and even afterwards, he’d not been able to crack the code entirely.

Hyunjin was most comfortable with his alpha side away from situations where he needed to be the one in control. Instead, it most often came out around Felix - playing with him, drawing him, cuddling up on the couch next to him, and that should have been a big red flag to Chan. It makes so much sense. Hyunjin was fickle and suppressed that side of himself, fighting his own instincts and Chan had struggled to help him connect to them. He needed an in to get to Hyunjin’s alpha but he couldn’t find one that worked and that Hyunjin would accept.

So, for years, Hyunjin had languished, a strange and slightly ineffective third who had a lot of potential and no drive to put any of it into practice. He was a pushover, that was true, and one that refused to change no matter how much Chan cajoled, lectured, guided, and advised.

Until Felix happened.

Ever since Felix started to present, Hyunjin has flipped a switch. He’s becoming more and more comfortable with his alpha nature over the last year and Jeongin learned the hard way that just because Hyunjin is soft sometimes, it doesn’t mean he’s soft all of the time. He’s also quite good at wielding the cane. Chan thinks that’s personal experience there, but he won’t ever say that to Hyunjin’s face. His Pack Record, on the other hand, has all of Chan’s thoughts in it.

“But -” Jeongin knows he’s going to get smacked by Minho and he’s probably going to get the same again from Hyunjin, who will be livid that he’s been so bossy with the baby.

“And tonight, you and I are going to have a Formal Discussion.” Jeongin’s head snaps up at that, his gaze clearly showing that Chan has finally hit home with that.

“But -” He’s shocked, clearly, as if he didn’t know that Chan is sick up to the back teeth with his bad attitude towards the baby.

“Fight me, and we’ll do the Formal Discussion right here, right now.” Chan is not above it and Jeongin knows that. Chan is a man of his word, and if he’s pushed, he will push back hard.

“Fine.” Jeongin chooses the right option, choosing to back away from a fight he cannot win (and never would have done), and Chan is grateful for that, at least. If Jeongin had chosen to fight, it would not have ended well for anybody, least of all Felix. Jeongin needs a serious attitude adjustment, and that’s an understatement.

“Before you do anything, I want you to clear up the glass.” Chan points to it. “Do it properly, do it safely, and do it quickly. And then make sure you tell Minho to record it in the Pack Safety Record.”

“That’s unfair!”

Minho will scold him for that because safety is a big thing for Minho. Even before Felix started to present, he would never have let broken glass sit for so long and he would have disciplined anybody who did. But now that Felix is presenting, Minho is ridiculously uptight on it. He won’t tolerate such a hazard like that being left alone for even a minute. But then again, Jeongin was the one who ignored the glass, and he was the one picking a fight, and now he’s going to have to go and explain himself to someone.

If Jeongin wants to be called hyung, he has to learn that he can’t be a fucking dick about it.  And he absolutely can’t force the issue, either, and he refuses to learn either lesson.

So Chan will teach him, and he will make it hurt.

But now, Chan has bigger issues to deal with, ones that do not involve his smallest alpha who is currently flouncing his way towards the main cabin, looking for plastic bags and a dustpan for the broken glass from the jug no doubt.

No, he needs to deal with his smallest full, the one who is currently crying into his shoulder. Felix is upset because he genuinely doesn’t like to fight with Jeongin. He loves him dearly.

“Come on, sweetheart. Come with me.” Chan says, and Felix is much more agreeable than Jeongin.

He takes Chan’s hand, holding it tight. It brings memories, from the early days when he was just starting to present because holding hands became one of those strange things, affected by all the new rules that suddenly had to be followed at times. Felix suddenly had to hold hands everywhere - crossing roads, going up and down stairs, even leaving the apartment front door. Something he used to love and do regularly became a rule, a mandatory thing, and for a while, that was difficult for Felix to come to terms with. And he didn’t know how to deal with the fallout, emotionally. Now, at least, Felix is amenable to it regardless of it being a rule. He likes to do it with everybody.

Chan leads the way, and Felix doesn’t realise they’re going towards the van, the one they came here in, the one that Jisung has a complicated relationship with. Chan doesn’t push him to hurry - it’s a slow meandering walk over there and if it takes them a few minutes, so be it. The sun is shining, it is a brisk day, and there will be plenty of time later to relax. There’s no rush.

Out of the corner of his eye, he sees Jeongin setting off on his long walk, the plastic bag of broken glass clutched in his hand because he’ll walk past the bins. He makes for a lonely sight, his own raincoat bright orange against the tree line. He stomps off, his shoes kicking up bark and dirt, but he’s doing what he’s told so Chan doesn’t need to call him on it.

Over the other side of the little roadway of the campground, a manager tries to approach them, one of the new ones that have been assigned to them since they got back from their pack leave. He thinks her name is Bae-Moon? Maybe? It sounds mean but he really never sees her and that’s not a good thing. She’s carrying a notebook and probably wants to discuss tomorrow’s plans, finalising things like who will travel in what car and how they’re going to get the baby’s nap and his medication done while under the full glare of cameras and a film crew. Thankfully, she’s waylaid by Soobin, who waves his clipboard at Chan in a gesture that is very familiar to him. I got this. Take care of your full.

Soobin is the best. Chan will buy him a case of beer before they go home in a few days.

“I’m sorry.” Felix is devastated at being caught fighting - he hates getting into trouble. It’s a novel thing for Chan to have a full who cares about that kind of thing.

“What was it about?”

Felix wipes his eyes, still teary, his scent still desperate for reassurance. “He wanted me to call him hyung. ”

“And you don’t want to.” It’s not a question. It’s been an issue with Jeongin for months and while Chan had thought he’d settled down, clearly, it wasn’t him cutting out the issue. It was just him biding his time until he thought he was alone.

“I don’t know what I want. I just… I don’t want him to keep asking.”

“Okay.” Chan files that away, to add to Felix’s file, and to his discussion with Jeongin this evening. Chan has the cabin at the campground, while the rest of the pack are sleeping in tents. He didn’t engineer the game the staff put up - he just made it very clear that the cabin was his and the others could compete to see who their tent mate would be. A Prime needs his own space and he had a feeling that discipline would be happening on this trip.

He just didn’t expect it so quickly - the trip is barely twenty four hours old at this point and Jeongin is already locking in the fact he won’t be sitting comfortably tomorrow. God help them all if Chan can’t get him to pull his head out of his arse because they have three more days of this camping trip.

“I’m sorry for fighting.”

“I know you are.” This is the come down from Felix’s meds and also from Felix himself, and he’s already working himself up more and more, no longer led by anger and frustration but brought low by upset and emotional dysregulation. Chan appreciates the apology even though he's not convinced Felix was the instigator there and therefore does not need to apologise. Still, it's a good habit for the baby to get into so he won't reject it. “We’ll get through this, okay?”

“What - What do you mean?”

They’ve made it to the van, the door slightly ajar and this is where the hard work begins. “I mean that we’re going to have another lesson now, okay?”

“We are?” Felix’s tears well up again because he doesn’t want a lesson right now, but he’s also so good that he doesn’t argue with his words. Chan loves him all the more for it.

“Shoes off for me, baby.” Chan says, and Felix slips out of the black slides that Chan is ninety five percent certain Jisung was wearing before Minho dragged him down to the river to fish (Minho), or mess around in the shallows (Jisung). Sliding open the door, Chan pats the floor of the van. “Step up for me.”

“What are we going to do?”

“I’m going to help you.”

“How?” Felix’s face is guileless as he looks up at Chan, his eyes big and wide, his upset making his cheeks flush pink and his mouth so red. He looks lovely when he cries.

“I need you to start by getting in the van, sweetheart.” Chan pulls down the little stool, because Felix struggles with the large step up into the van, his body still not yet healed fully from what his parents left him. It’s just a little plastic one from Ikea, one that the managers used to keep up in the stylists’ van, but Chan stole it months ago and nobody’s asked for it back yet. “Let’s go.”

“No!” Felix is doing the same thing that Jisung does - when he’s overwhelmed, he wants the world to stop, to let him get off the ride, and that means resisting when someone tries to make him move.

It’s not impossible to overcome, though.

“Bin.” He says, and Changbin appears, as easily as if he was waiting right by the door. Knowing him, he probably was.

“Hey, baby,” he says. “You want to come in?”

“I - but…”

“I’ll help.” Changbin doesn’t phrase it as a question, just a statement, as if it’s already decided that Felix will be coming into the van. But also, it works. It’s adorable how easily Felix orientates himself to Changbin, how much he’s willing to give to Changbin. Felix has a crush on Changbin and Chan is not above using that to get what he needs. “Here.” He says, and he holds out a hand to Felix.

“...Okay…” Felix bends to the will of his hyung.

Felix’s hand in Changbin’s is small and sweet. He steps up, into the van, and nobody comments on how much Changbin has to take his weight, has to steady him when he gets there, Felix’s body coming down from the adrenaline high of the fight. Nobody wants to comment on how far Felix’s body has come since he came out of the hospital, or how far it still has to go.

“Take him down.” Chan says, quietly, and Changbin ushers Felix towards the back of the bus. He’s not pushy about it, doesn’t make Felix feel like he’s not got a choice by demanding or forcing him. He just doesn’t give an option, guiding him down the aisle, praising him for being good for your hyung, hmm? And Felix responds to it, his scent beginning to sweeten again, just by those few words.

Sometimes, Chan is reminded just how good Changbin is with their baby, how much of a bond they have together. They’ve been working on it for a long time, and their love for each other has been caught time and time again. If Felix has a crush on Changbin, Changbin adores Felix. Their bond is written in Changbin’s hand over Felix’s hip, pushing his body back into line so he doesn’t knock into the seats, the way that Felix constantly looks at him, with big eyes, his entire attention given over to his Binnie-hyung as Changbin helps out of his raincoat

They fit together as if they’ve always been that kind of person for each other, and Chan finds it very sweet.

He loves that Changbin can be that for Felix. A long time ago, he would have doubted such a thing could have happened but Changbin has come a long way since then, grown and matured and learned so much and it’s reflected in how deeply Felix loves and trusts him. Chan is very proud of Changbin. His second Stray Kid was less… bitey than his first but no less challenging.

Chan steps up into the bus, shutting the door behind him with the soft close button. This is going to be a strange lesson for them all but they need to begin soon. Felix’s medication will soon be hitting hard and they need to finish before then.

Inside the bus, Chan can see just how much work Changbin did in the few minutes he had. The bus is warm, the heating on, but not oppressively so. The music in the CD player is classical, the covers up in all the windows and the windscreen, and there is even a neat pile of water bottles and Felix’s nap blanket on a seat near the mattress at the back. Next to it is a little package of wipes, and the gloves that Chan will need, and a little tube of lubricant, too, even though Felix has no idea what such a tube is.

Binnie loves Felix. The little touch of the blanket, knowing that Felix likes to have a blanket to nap with, his special little one that’s covered in cute bee motifs, shows just how much Changbin has paid attention, how much he wants Felix to be comfortable. Binnie loves the baby. That’s what Jisung told Chan last night, when Chan was trying to think how they would do this exact task, and it’s never been more true.

Changbin folds up Felix’s raincoat. “I’ll just put this over here for you. We won't need it at the moment, okay?”

“What’s happening?” Felix wipes his eyes again, still tearing up, and his scent is still pulling at Chan’s heart strings. “Why are we here?”

“We’re going to help you,” Chan says. “Innie’s wound you up, made you all angry, hasn’t he?”

“No.” The pout says yes and Chan chooses to believe Felix’s body over his words. “I’m fine.”

“No, you’re not.” Changbin pats the seat that he wants Felix to take. “We can tell.”

“How?” Felix slides onto the seat that Changbin indicated. He doesn’t clock that he’s just obeyed an unspoken order nor that he didn’t need to be told twice.

“Do you want an answer to that?” Changbin shakes his head. “Take your veil off, baby. Have a tissue.” Felix takes the tissue, laughing through his tears, as he unties the veil with just one hand. He looks very sweet. His nose is pink and his eyes are watery but Chan can appreciate the view still. He’s looking up at Changbin with his big, brown eyes, so dark that they’re almost black and he looks just… like Changbin is holding his entire world up again.

But now, it’s going to be up to Chan to drive this forward.

Once he’s sure that Felix has wiped his eyes, and his nose, brushing his hair back from his face because he doesn’t like the feel of it sticking to his wet cheeks, Chan pulls out the blindfold that Changbin left on the seat near the door, the one that Felix missed entirely. It’s nothing special - just one of Jisung’s from his early days, soft and silky, that feels nice and soft against the skin. Back then, Jisung used to have one of these often because it was part of his sensory deprivation needs. Now, Jisung has others that he prefers but Chan thinks this is a good enough introduction for Felix. It’s easy to put on, take off, and it blocks out the light which is what he wants for today, and thankfully, not nearly as intimidating as some of Jisung’s more… effective pieces.

“Let me help you.” Chan says.

“Is - why?” Felix looks at the blindfold in Chan’s hands, his eyes big and wide. His body has stilled, no longer always in motion like he always is. He’s realising that this is something new, something different that just some one to one time with his Prime or his Second, and he doesn’t know how to react. Chan can practically hear the cogs turning as he tries to process this.

“Because you need it.” It’s not an answer that Felix expected and he looks up at Changbin, seeking reassurance.

“It’s okay, baby,” Changbin says, and his hand on Felix’s shoulder slips around to the back of his neck. It’s not a Hold - Chan has banned such things for now - but it’s just a little extra weight to help Felix slip down and down into the submissive state he’s been teetering on the edge of all day.

He’s been doing it for weeks, if Chan is honest, slipping in and out of a state where he’s been quite happy to just… let someone else drive. The new medication is definitely affecting him but also, so are his mini-heats, drawing him down into a place where he feels soft and vulnerable and protected.  The fact that Hyunjin is very much a favourite for Felix to find comfort in during those periods says a lot about their relationship but also a lot about how easily Hyunjin has moved into that role for Felix. They have a very different bond now and one that seems to be flourishing for them.

But Felix has also been so good for Chan, so eager to give whatever is demanding of him, so willing to get even a second of his Prime’s attention, and Chan is relying on that now, the unconscious need to please driving him to be so very good for those he perceives as above him in the ranking.

Felix doesn’t fight him putting the blindfold on. Chan takes his time, checking to see that it goes over his ears nicely, and doesn't get caught in his hair. He’s moving much slower than he would with Jisung or anybody else, to be honest, but he needs to. Felix is new to this. They have to work him up to each new step, each part of what is coming before moving on. Patience is definitely needed - whereas Jisung would fight, actively resist because he knows what’s coming, Felix hesitates because everything is unknown to him. It’s only when he’s sure that Felix is beginning to settle that he decides to take that next step. “Stand up for me, baby?” He says, and Felix does so, agreeably obedient to the end.

Changbin removes the cover to the mattress, folding it neatly and placing it on the last row of seats. The large foam square is pulled away from the side of the van, with plenty of room all the way around. There’s even a folded towel placed on the seat beside it, just because, and this is where Chan knows that Binnie is genuinely doing his best for their littlest one, because he’s thought of everything.

But Chan has to do the next part - this is his job, he needs to be focused on Felix - and he turns his attention to the matter at hand.

Getting Felix undressed.

Not all the way, they’re not going to do this naked - not this time, at least - but he does need some more access to Felix’s body. “I’m taking these down, okay?” he says, thumbing at the waistband of Felix’s pants. It’s only when Felix nods, confused and daunted but still willing to go along with Chan that he pulls them down to the floor. “Step out?”

Felix nearly stumbles when he goes to stand on his left leg - he’s still weak on that side, and he needs to lean on the back of the seats to stay upright - but they get there. Chan picks up the sweats, doesn’t even bother folding them as he throws them onto the seat. He needs to keep this moving, not letting Felix dwell on the situation.

“Now lift up?” He asks, and Felix is obedient to the command. Chan decided when he saw what he was wearing at the fire pit: Felix’s oversized t-shirt has to go.

Minho has taken to putting Felix into vests and little crop tops, requiring him to wear them under his t-shirts and nightdresses as a rule. It's one of many that Felix has and he probably hasn't really clocked the reason why. Chan wants to take Felix down to that. The oversized shirt allows him to hide, to pretend this isn’t happening, that his body isn’t changing and developing. It’s something he’s noticed Felix doing for a while, and he’s not sure if it’s intentional or not, but Chan is determined to not… stop it, per se, but to provide a counter measure. Revealing his body is part of that and it starts now.

He knows Minho is really doing it because there’s already an indication that Felix may one day have more up top than anybody, including Changbin. He may one day need a bra and more feminine shirts and the like, and the little cropped t-shirts and vests are a precursor to at least warm Felix up to the idea subconsciously.

Chan has no objections either way.

As for his Second, that’s a different story. Changbin will probably combust if Felix requires a bra. It’s no secret in the pack, Changbin’s love of all things breasts related (chicken and otherwise), and if Felix does go down that route, it is likely that Changbin will simply cease to function as a human being. Some days now, he’s barely hanging on and that’s with Felix not wearing a bra.

Lingerie is a big weakness for the pack in general but for Changbin in particular, it’s one of his favourite things in life.

Yeah, Chan pays for the pack’s pornography so he knows what they like. He's asked them. He's partaken in a lot of their kinks and preferences, and supplied things to help them with the things he isn't able to help with. He has subscriptions to websites - good, ethical websites, that he’s researched and spent time looking at not just for how good their content is but how well they pay performers, their reviews on Glassdoor, their scandals or lack thereof. He does regular research to make sure that all of the pack have what they need on those websites, that everybody, even his fulls, can find their preferred kinks and content. Seungmin has a few of his own that he prefers to pay for - Chan knows they exist, Seungmin has his permission to use them because they cater to kinks that the rest of the pack doesn’t share and Chan doesn’t have a fucking clue where to start with that part of the internet - but for most part, everybody else is happy enough with Chan’s choices. Every month, he gets a neat little summary of what you’ve watched from the last 30 days and while he knows he didn’t go through all seventeen movies by himself this time, he can instantly pick out Changbin’s choices. He knows what Changbin likes, how he shops for his preferred content, and even who his favourite actresses are.

Changbin has a type.

And usually, that type comes with lace and ribbons and pretty pretty panties. Pun mostly not intended. The day that Felix actually transitions to lingerie as opposed to knickers… Changbin will melt. Or have a heart attack. Or possibly just pop wood so fast he passes out. Hard to tell but it would be dramatic. He won’t go further down that route, though, because Felix does not need to know what kind of panties Changbin would love to put him in, or stockings or even a pretty little bralette. He's not dumb - Chan knows Changbin has a shopping list planned. Minho has threatened to castrate him and anybody else who gives any item on that shopping to Felix without Minho’s direct and explicit consent.

Changbin may have ordered some of it anyway.

Chan won’t mention it to Minho but… Changbin is playing with fire if he thinks he can hide it from their resident psychic for long.

But back to the van and not Changbin’s collection of pretty underwear in the box under his bed… Under his t-shirt, Felix is wearing a sweet cropped t-shirt, in soft pink, and it shouldn’t shock Chan - he’s paid for them, he knows what Minho has been buying - but it… it just catches him off guard, the way that it looks and he knows that it does for Changbin, too.

This is real.

Every so often, it just gets to him, reminds him that Felix really is developing into a full omega. That this person he loves, that he’s loved for a long time, is becoming what Chan had long since suspected, from years ago. If it shocks him, a thrill in his gut every time he sees something different about his littlest full, he can’t imagine what it’s like for Felix, looking in the mirror and seeing that he is so very different than before. Nobody comments on the bruises they can all see, Felix’s belly dotted with them like dalmatian spots, varying shades of blue and purple and blood black, all the way down to yellow green, fading away. The needles Seungmin wields are dangerous - they leave their marks all over the baby, over the curve of his belly that Chan loves most of all, like fingerprints from a much bigger and more dangerous opponent.

Chan will kiss them all, one by one, if he has to, if it could buy Felix a few days' grace from the pain and the upset, but he can't and it hurts him to know that. But that’s not what Felix thinks he and Changbin are looking at. He is shy about his chest, about the places he is becoming softer and gaining more curves, and his scent becomes worried and sad again.

“I got you.” He says, because he knows Felix is embarrassed, his hands coming up to cover his chest, his belly, up again to where his nipples are hidden under the t-shirt even though he doesn’t yet have a lot there. “We’re going to go and sit down now.”

“But - aren’t I going to get dressed again?” Felix is painfully naive and Chan loves him all the more for it.

“No, sweetheart.” Chan says, guiding Felix to step towards the mattress. “We’re going to help you to relax.”

“I - but -”

“We got you.” Changbin says, reaching out and holding Felix’s waist as they come closer. “We’re just going to help you calm down a bit, alright?”

“I -”

“You’re going to be our good boy, okay?” It’s a cheap move, relying on Felix’s need to be good, to be praised for what he’s doing, but Chan is okay with that. He knows this is going to be difficult, he knows that Felix is going to struggle, so he’ll take the easy wins.

And it works.

Felix takes a seat on the mattress, his hands twisting together as he feels so vulnerable and small around his Prime and his Second. He’s seeking reassurance with his scent, the needy edge to it not sexual but wanting to be soothed and loved, instead.

Chan will give him that.

“Lie back for me, baby.”

“I -”

“Binnie-hyung will help you.”

Changbin is kneeling on the floor on the other side of the mattress, guiding Felix to lie on his back. When Felix squirms, unsure of the situation, Changbin shushes him, rubbing his shoulders as he brings him down to the black top of the mattress. There’s a pillow there, ready for him, and Felix seems to find it comforting. Chan makes a note of how Felix rubs his face into the pillow, as if he can get something from it. It’s weird. Felix can’t consciously tell a scent is there, has no clue what it means, but some part of him does clearly know, does understand what a scent is and how to respond to it.

And it’s all the more intriguing because that’s Chan’s pillow.

He bought it from the cabin this morning, knowing this might be needed, and he knows it smells like him, like sleep and rest and calm down because both Minho and Jisung tell him exactly that whenever they share his bed. Felix is absolutely picking up on those aspects, on his Prime’s scent, and using it to self soothe. And, more interestingly, it’s working. Chan can tell from the way Felix’s scent is beginning to calm and to turn sweet and soft again.

How fascinating.

But that’s something to think about later. Now, Chan has to help Felix climb down from his emotional devastation and put him back together again. As Chan helps Felix to slide back, his thighs part and Chan sees something that previously only Minho and Jisung have ever laid eyes on.

Felix’s underwear.

Felix’s knickers are sweet. They’re demure and proper for a young full, not the sexy lingerie from one of Changbin’s movies, and somehow, it’s all the more beautiful for it. He recognises them - one of the pairs he recalls from a receipt in his inbox from a few weeks ago. Minho went on a shopping spree, since the baby needed new clothes for the trip. They’re simple - just blue, with a bow on the lace around the top, everything about them unthreatening and innocent, hiding everything they need to, revealing nothing.

Felix is starting to get nervous again, twisting as he lays on the mattress, his feet braced on the edge. He’s stressed and upset, his cheeks still pink from where he was so frustrated at Jeongin. The blindfold is helping, though. He’s unable to see what is happening, which forces him to rely on his body, to trust only in the sensations and his reactions to them.

He doesn’t want to restrain Felix - that would probably make him panic by just hearing the chains, never mind having them put him on his wrists and ankles - so Chan has ended up resolving the issue by putting himself between Felix’s thighs, pushing them apart gently but persistently.

“Baby?” He says and Felix stills. “I’m going to take your knickers down now.”

“Why - shouldn’t - where’s Minho-unnie?” For all that Felix protests being constantly within a metre of Minho, he also prefers it. He rarely leaves Minho’s side and it shows now. As soon as Chan is testing a boundary, Felix reaches for his unnie, and he finds that so endearing.

“Right outside. He'll be there when we're finished, I promise.” Minho will be floating around somewhere outside, waiting for Jeongin to finish his march around the campground (and he’ll know because he always does know something is wrong with the baby). “But this is going to help you, okay?”

“Is it - am I being naughty? ” Felix lapses into English, his Korean still not back all the way, and Changbin shakes his head, his cheeks staining red. Changbin understands what Felix is asking.

“No. You’re being good. ” Chan shoves his own visceral reaction to Felix’s question (because he knows exactly what Felix means when he says being naughty ) down far inside of himself. That’s something to unpack late at night, far away from Felix. “You’re going to be so good for me, okay?” He strokes up and down Felix’s sides, letting him get used to the touch, the sensation of someone else there, touching him where nobody else but Minho has before.

“Yes, hyung.” And he is so good, so sweet because he opens his thighs, parts them for Chan to be able to pull down his knickers, even lifting his hips up as Changbin gathers his hands together, holds them down on Felix’s chest so he can’t resist with them, can’t fight back. He’s so pliant, so sweet and tender as he lays spread between them, his body exposed to them for the first time.

Chan needs to steady himself when he realises that and he knows Changbin does, too.

But he can’t let on, he can’t say anything about that, and he knows Felix is waiting for a reaction to his body, to his nakedness and he worries because there is nothing forthcoming.

“Such a good baby for us,” Changbin says, and Felix’s cheeks flush pink but not with anger. He’s so happy to get the praise he’s craving. “Let Channie-hyung in, okay, sweetheart?”

And Felix is good and he does exactly that.

He lets Chan in.

—------

It takes time to work Felix up to where he needs to be.

Chan doesn’t rush. He needs to take this slowly because as much as this is Felix learning how to be soothed for the first time, Chan is also learning him, too. He has to figure out Felix’s reactions, map his responses to stimulation, understand how to push and how far he can do it before Felix bucks or breaks. Chan is just as much learning Felix as Felix is understanding his Prime and Second in a new way, too.

Chan’s fingers on Felix’s cunt are definitely learning lots of things.

His heat is definitely on - now that Chan can feel the slick flowing out of Felix, he can tell the difference, the way it’s slippery and thick, the scent of pheromones faint but present - and it’s just another confirmation that this is the right thing to do. His cunt is all but shouting at the world that Felix needs attention.

The doctors were clear. When Felix’s pre-heats are on, Chan needs to take control, needs to stimulate Felix, needs to coax him with fingers and massage and gentle encouragement to let his Prime in, because Felix’s body doesn’t understand. It doesn’t know how to react to a Prime, to sex and love, and if he does not, Felix’s body will not be prepared for the full blown heats that are coming soon, where his need to mate will set it’s teeth in him, pinning him under the weight of hormones and drives as old as cavemen, refusing to let go until he is well knotted and sated.

This is the first step towards that kind of heat - a tiny little heat, almost a practise one – and Chan has to respond to it. Talking about it would have done no good. Felix is shy and he can’t bear to talk about it with other people - Jisung barely coaxing it out of him about his needs - and Chan had no chance.

But like this?

This is working.

Chan presses his thumb against Felix’s clit, feels the wet heat of his labia burning against his fingers. His clit is a little bigger than Chan remembers from the photo, the divide in it unique to him. He’s never felt Felix like this, his cunt blooming around his fingers, hot and soft with all of his duplicated labia so swollen and ready. Chan has never seen a cunt so beautiful before - so unique, either - and it is truly remarkable. It honestly feels like Felix is drawing him in, inviting him closer, as if to fuck him - no, to make love to him - and Chan files that away. He can’t do that now - Felix is in no way shape or form ready for him - but it’s there. Felix clearly wants more than he is getting now, or at least his body does.

Felix says oh, quietly, at the new sensation of Chan’s fingers on his clit. He’s confused with the pleasure and Chan reads the way that he doesn’t know if he wants to press back, keep Chan’s thumb there or run away from it, the pressure too much. His whines and scent are saying so much more than words could.

“Does this feel good, sweetheart?”

The noise that Felix makes will haunt Chan (in the best way possible) for a long time to come. He’s sensitive, Chan finds, and it doesn’t take much pressure or friction on his clit to keep those noises flowing. It’s definitely too much, too novel a feeling but it’s also the right one. Felix tries to twist away, wanting to close his legs but Changbin is too quick to push them back down, holding Felix’s wrists with just one hand as he helps to part his thighs again.

“No, no, baby. Let Channie-hyung help you, okay?”

“What - why?” It’s a strange question to ask and Chan finds it amusing in a way that Felix always finds a way to subvert what he expects from him.

“Because you need to calm down.” Chan holds Felix’s legs apart, the latex gloves on his hands making a noise that makes Felix shudder. His scent dips, turning sour and scared for a moment, and Chan feel shis heart drop. “Baby?”

“I - the gloves -” Felix shudders, his lips pressing together in a thin line that doesn’t look like pleasure to Chan. Something about the gloves was a massive turn off for him.

“Okay, okay.” Chan doesn’t know why the gloves are setting Felix down a path of upset - he can guess but that’s for later - but he can do this barehanded. Gloves aren’t mandatory for Felix and he won’t fight it. He strips them off, leaves them screwed up on the floor next to the mattress, and when he puts his bare hands back on Felix’s thighs, pushing them apart again, Felix relaxes. His scent is so sweet when he realises that just those three words were enough to get him what he needed and so he trusts again, letting Chan back in.

It’s absolutely intoxicating how easily Felix gives himself over to Chan - Jisung has to think about it, usually, at least at first and Minho makes it very clear that he chooses when to let Chan in between his thighs - but Felix is all instinct and trust, offering himself up to the most senior member of his pack like he’s born to it.

Chan loves this, though, in a strange way. He never thought it would be like this but it’s so beautiful, having his fingers touching Felix’s body, his precious private areas, and being able to see him come apart so very easily. Chan’s whole hand is wet now, delicately parting Felix’s inner labia, pressing gently against his clit, puffy and swollen, every part that Chan can see looking lovely and divine. His outer labia are slick and bare, courtesy of Jisung, and Chan instantly decides that if Felix wants to, he will allow Jisung to continue to shave him. It looks so wonderful.

It looks good enough to eat, and suddenly Chan is reminded of why Hyunjin can feast on a full, for as long as they will let him before they are too sensitive to have him kiss and suck and bite so gently at them between their thighs.

He could eat Felix whole.

But he must be good, he must keep his mind on track. Felix needs his help.

“Let hyung help you, okay?” He’s being much softer than he would be with Jisung or even Minho. “Hyung will help you.”

Felix makes a noise, something between a choke and sob, but Chan knows his scent, knows the way that Felix’s scent is drifting far close to soft and i love you than the acrid fear and upset it was before. Changbin is holding his arms down, comforting him with words as he lays over the square mattress, his feet braced to keep his thighs apart.  Chan doesn’t miss the way that Felix’s hands are wrapped in Changbin’s, how easily Changbin focuses on him, shushing him when he tries to speak, telling him, let hyungs help you okay? We’ll get you there as if Felix just needs a little more encouragement, a little more vocal reassurance.

And he does.

That’s what makes Changbin so good.

Chan is just exploring, testing the waters with Felix’s heat, learning what makes him sigh and drop his head to the mattress, and what makes him squirm away, too sensitive or too confusing for him. Chan isn’t grading him, just making notes for the future. There are a lot of things to pay attention to. Felix doesn’t like his urethra being touched at all, and Chan makes a note to stay away from there. He likes his clit with a little pressure - not too much, not as much as Minho - and he likes his labia being touched, so gently, fingers stroking and petting just like Jisung. Chan has learned their bodies inside out and it looks like Felix is a little of one, a little of the other, and some things all of his own.

Chan tries just a finger, just one inside Felix’s vagina, and the moan he gets tells him he’s in the right place, and the way Felix moans and whines when he crooks his finger helps Chan to understand where Felix is most sensitive. Some part of him wants to be filled, wants his vagina to be full and probably even to be knotted, too, because that is what a heat demands.

But Felix is tight - so fucking tight - and Chan doesn’t dare to go any further than just one finger. Minho will kill him if he gives Felix a tear and he is not used to toys and fingers the way Minho is. He’s definitely not used to them like Jisung is, happy to split himself wide and fuck a monster sized dildo with the fattest knot when he can’t get an alpha to do it for him. Chan knows that Felix would probably welcome more, though, because when Chan just tests the outer edges with a second finger, Felix moans long and loud.

Chan can feel Minho’s glare on the side of his head clear across the other side of the campsite and he doesn’t push any further. Minho won’t smack his bottom (unlike what he’ll do to Jeongin) but he will be using his wifely rights against Chan and that’s… not fun. It’s a lot less sex and a lot more I’m disappointed in you and Chan isn’t into that as a kink.

But the goal is not to stuff Felix until he cries for mercy, nor to thoroughly explore him, pushing him to his body’s limits. No, that’s for another day, far in the future. Today, it’s just about teaching him to find the edge of pleasure, to ride it for as long as possible. Chan’s intention is not even to push his heat to the next level - this slow simmer of pleasure and love is enough for now. The point of this is to show Felix’s body that it’s safe to go into heat around his pack, that there will be people to take care of him and love him while he rides the waves of arousal, vulnerable and desperate for attention and affection.

His body is fragile and vulnerable, figuring itself out every day and learning new things. His heats are coming, his body driving him hard towards maturing in a way he has never felt before. Every part of Felix is preparing for that future and this is going to guide him to trust and love but also, to keep his heat for those he loves, not to do it around strangers or when they’re far from somewhere safe. It will help him body to understand the difference between home and not home and that’s important because home is with his pack and nowhere else.

It’s also not today’s goal to seek an orgasm.

Jisung needs three when he’s like this, needing his alpha’s help to disengage from distress and frustration,  and even on the very rare occasion that Minho might use the bus, he needs at least two but Felix is small and he is naive and Chan has made the decision that they will not even try to force an orgasm. He could do it - there’s toys and gels and he could have used the heated lubricant that Jisung gets that always helps him to slick up and find pleasure faster. But that’s unfair. Pleasure is as pleasure does but Felix’s body is still learning and he might not be able to come yet - at least, not from his clit, and he might just get overwhelmed by too much of a good thing.  Chan wants to just wear him out, give him pleasure and sensation, and if an orgasm is out of reach, then so be it.

His scent, swirling around Chan, thick and hot in the air, tells him he’s right to take that approach.

Chan can’t describe it but the Prime in him understands it profoundly. Felix doesn’t have the same underlying edge to his pleasure like Jisung or Minho do and the only way he can describe it is that Felix doesn’t smell ripe yet. It’s an odd way to think of it, but he can’t explain it any other way - his scent is sweet and tender and soft but it isn’t finished. It’s still developing, still figuring itself out, and there’s still that overwhelming mist of youth and fragility that sits over everything, protecting Felix’s scent while he is still presenting.

But underneath that mist of youth, there is a hint of something else, something stronger and bigger, a tiny premonition of what is to come. It’s Felix’s true scent, blossoming because his body knows he’s safe and trusts Chan and Changbin, so it can show he’s nearly there, he’s almost ready for them. Chan knows that he’s not the only one who has caught it. Changbin’s eyes are wide, his pupils dilated and the red and gold in his eyes bright because he knows what it means.

Fuck, that’s amazing.

But Felix doesn’t know. He doesn’t have a goddamn clue about his body and he needs more love and attention to keep him calm and trusting. He needs more soothing, more comfort, and Changbin praises him for being their good boy for how nicely he’s doing what he’s told, that he’s so lovely for them, and that they need him to hold on just a little longer, to be their sweet little full just until Chan is ready for him to let go.

It’s beautiful how much Felix listens to the praise, the way he turns towards Changbin to hear him even though he’s overwhelmed, overstimulated, and so tired . He seeks the words, the tone, the way Changbin is stroking his thumb over Felix’s wrists, and Chan thinks with a jolt that Felix hasn’t fought his way out of Changbin’s grasp once.

He really is their good boy

Felix sobs as Chan pushes him up the edge of pleasure. It’s a slow journey, one that Felix takes hard, and Chan feels his slick flow more and more. The medication is making their baby tired and exhausted but also, so is his need for pleasure. His hips roll, his throat bared as his head goes back, everything in him demonstrating submission at the highest level as he cries out please, hyung, please, I’ll be good for you!  and it is this that Chan finds the most deeply erotic about Felix.

Consciously, he hasn’t got a fucking clue. He couldn’t demonstrate submission if someone paid him actual money to do it. He doesn’t do it in their day to day life intentionally, looking confused when Minho and Jisung bare their throats, show a wrist, or press kisses to their alpha’s cheeks to show submission to them. He doesn’t get what they’re doing, seeing it only as affection and nothing more. He cannot read body language the way the others can, he can’t tell when someone’s scent is belying their words. He’s effectively blind to the pack and to how he should show that he recognises that he is the least developed, the least in control, the most junior member around.

Unconsciously, his body knows submission and it lives and breathes it, in every line and curve of Felix’s body. His thighs part instead of slamming together, showing what he has to Chan to appease him, his throat bared, and he just keeps begging. His body recognises Chan’s inherent power over him and it wants to do everything it can to demonstrate submission to him.

Oh, God, does it know. It knows everything that it needs to do.

It is a strange dichotomy, one that Chan truly finds fascinating and would love to explore further.

But he can’t, and he knows Felix is exhausted, his body giving out on him. He hears it in the whines, the moans, sees it in the way that Felix’s thighs tremble under his hand while the other toys with his cunt.

“Shush, sweetheart,” Chan says, and Felix moans, pressing his mouth against Changbin’s arm because that’s all he can reach, and he can’t be quiet so he needs help to stay the way he’s been asked. It’s charming that he’s full of such lovely sounds, but he’s also so willing to shush when he’s told to, obedient to the core.

He’s moaning because Chan has found something new to play with, not just his clit. And he’s not going to lie, Chan is finding rapidly this will be his new obsession with the baby, he is sure of it.

Felix’s dick is adorable

Chan doesn’t know how else to describe it. He knew… he knew Felix was small before. He’s the smallest in the pack, by far, and that’s not a bad thing but he always forgets how cute it is and the way that his little balls are so small, they look like dessert served up so pretty for him.

A dick should not be cute. Chan has experience in this regard. There’s enough of them in the pack (and outside of it) that he’s seen and he is ninety three percent sure that he would never describe most of them as cute. Changbin would probably commit him to the psych ward, Seungmin and Minho would punch him, Jeongin might cry, and Hyunjin would be very conflicted.

Maybe Jisung would like it if he’s in a good enough mood. When he thinks about, maybe Jisung would like it, would appreciate it because Jisung is so pretty when he begs Chan to stop it! Chan should try it, see just how far he can get under Jisung’s insecurities because he enjoys seeing him squirm. He always has done.

But still. His point stands. Cute is not a word Chan normally uses, especially around someone’s genitals.

But he can’t help it.

Felix’s dick is small. It’s just… big enough to need a couple of fingers - not even a full fist - to wrap around it, and the idea of such a small thing in Hyunjin’s large hand feels like it is reaching into Chan’s filthy filthy mind and taking root there. The head is rosy pink, needy and slicking already with clear fluid, and his balls are little and sweet in their velvety pouch so tender as Chan plays with them. And it feels so odd to see them like this, so exposed and ready for him. Chan hasn’t spent a lot of time looking between Felix’s thighs - previously, most of their activity was all over clothes. In all fairness, that didn’t do much to keep them both from doing naughty things (in Felix’s words) in the dark when they could - but seeing them up close like this is just wonderful.

Changbin’s eyes are big as he looks down at Felix and the change in his scent is like jumping into a plunge pool. It’s so clear that Changbin didn’t know either just how small or how pretty Felix’s dick was. They could all guess that he was small because Felix never filled out boxers the same way that Chan and Changbin can, or even Minho and Jisung but they would never comment on it - a man just doesn’t comment on another man’s penis in the changing rooms, it’s just not fair play, and back then, they did think of Felix as a man. This confirmation is the best thing possible, though, and Chan mourns all the time that he could have had his mouth on such pretty parts and didn’t take the opportunity with both hands.

But it’s clear he’s not the only one. Changbin wants so much - to touch, to kiss, to suck and love and to stroke Felix with his fingers, his tongue, whatever he can really get - and it’s in his scent, heavy and hot and deep. Changbin doesn’t do this often - he’s usually very controlled and Chan finds it so fucking erotic that Changbin is so uncontrolled now. Felix is not just making Changbin needy, he’s making him hunger.

Chan wraps two fingers around Felix’s sweet little dick, just holding him there, the other one just buried in all of Felix’s duplicated labia, feeling the heat pouring out of Felix, and he says, quietly, “there’s my baby”. The jolt of want that comes out of Felix, both in his body and his scent is just intoxicating.

Felix moans, his hips twisting up into Chan’s hand. He wants more. He needs more to get him over the edge, and Chan can feel that, the way that his little dick is leaking into his hand. Felix’s cunt is valiantly attempting to slick like Jisung can, a flood of pheromones caught up in hot and wet, slowly dripping out of his vagina to ease Chan’s path into his body.

It’s a lure and one that Chan is very familiar with. He won’t be doing that but it charms him all the more that Felix’s body is trying so hard to emulate what it knows it should be.

Felix moans and whines and he whimpers as Changbin pets his chest and his neck, across his scent glands, encouraging them, too. He strokes across his forehead, around the blindfold on his cheeks, telling him you’re our good baby, hmm? Hyungs are so proud of you for being so good, for letting us in like this, letting us touch your special parts, and Felix whimpers at that, his cunt slicking again under Chan’s hand, just a little, and it’s a very large hint of to how to get under Felix’s skin in the best way possible.

“I got you, baby,” Chan says. “Can you keep being our good boy for just a little bit longer?”

Felix nods and Chan doesn’t doubt for one second that he means it. Felix is hardwired to be good, to do what he’s told and he is desperate for praise. But he’s also passing deep into a space where he is trusting entirely, no thoughts active in his mind, his whole body relaxed. He isn’t fighting Changbin’s hand holding his wrists nor is he fighting the way that Chan is keeping his thighs apart. Every part of him has given itself over to his hyungs. Felix is quieting now, his cheeks still red, but this time from pleasure, not frustration. His body is soft under Chan’s hand, pliant and trusting. His cunt is slicking, not a lot, but still more than before, and Chan’s fingers slide more easily through Felix’s duplicated labia.

“I love you,” he says, and Felix nods, whining, his dick slowly milking in Chan’s hand. Words have left the building a while ago for Felix and Chan doubts they’re coming back soon. The slick says it all though. It’s not a fountain like Jisung, nor even a generous flow like Minho. It’s slow and thick and just enough but Chan has no doubt more will come.

Felix is still new at this.

But perhaps he has pushed too far. Or, conversely, not far enough. Felix is not just quietening, he is drifting. His movements are slower, much slower than before, long and languid. His breathing is already slowing, and his scent is turning again, a heady layer of sleep settling over the top of it like thick snow over the forest, pushing all other scents down as it takes over. Chan is fascinated at how much of a slave to his own body Felix is, and how even different parts of himself are at odds with each other. His cunt is still wet under Chan’s fingers, his dick still spilling out slick fluid but it’s slower now, everything turning soft because sleep is more important and therefore it overrides everything else.

He is still being a good boy but in another way, too.

Chan pulls his hand away from Felix’s labia, gets a sigh and a moan of discontent, a sign that Felix is not quite ready to let go of being pleasured. Sleep may be coming but Felix wants more and he doesn’t like being denied.

That is definitely something to note for the future.

Chan doesn’t take away his hand from Felix’s little dick. He just holds his palm there, covering all of Felix’s special parts , letting the warmth of his hand and the weight of it rest solidly against Felix’s special little parts as Changbin called them. He knows Felix likes it. It’s clear in the way he rolls his hips down, so slow and heavy, like it’s hard work for him to respond through the sticky rolling haze but he has to, he’s so worked up, he can’t resist. Felix slicks again, a little squirt of something warm and wet and so full of pheromones, the most yet, that loudly tells Chan that Felix is needy and wanting. His body is still trying to draw Chan in, make himself breedable even as he fights to keep himself awake. Felix whines and sighs, struggling to settle because he can’t tell what he wants now, only his body can and it’s clearly crying out that  I like this even as his breathing slows and he drifts further into the warm helplessness of drugged sleep.

He moans, wrapping his fingers around Changbin’s hands even more, trying to look up at him even though he’s blindfolded and unable to do so.

“I know, sweetheart. You were so good for us - so perfect, so lovely, just how we needed you to be,” Chan says, and Felix whimpers because he wants to stay awake, he wants to finish this, but he is also exhausted and emotional. Sleep is winning because he feels safe with his hyungs which lets his body drag him towards the black, even though he’s almost naked, Chan’s hand on his special parts . “You can sleep now, baby. We got you.”

The surge of love you is hot and heavy, like nothing he’s ever done before, and Chan knows it’s because Felix is deep in this mini-heat. He can tell. Chan knows what Felix is feeling on a base level, instincts riding high, front and centre in his mind.

Felix’s scent is like reading a book for him at this point, and the deep, intoxicating rush of trust that undercuts everything is present now, thick and heavy, uncontrolled as always, because Felix wants and he needs and he loves but it is always paired with trust. Chan has never experienced something like this before, where that layer of deep trust is always there, front and centre. Felix is unique amongst his pack for that. He trusts deeply and wholeheartedly, so much so that Chan is almost daunted by it now, the way that Felix doesn’t hold it back.

He wants to be loved. He needs to be loved.

And he trusts them to get him there.

That’s a weighty burden and Chan watches as Changbin comes to the same conclusion, stroking down the side of Felix’s face as he drifts away, his movements slowing, everything in him going loose and soft. His thighs close, warm and soft against Chan’s skin because he’s still there, still touching Felix’s body as he keeps the weight of his hand against Felix’s pelvis, cradling his most precious parts. Felix’s thighs are warm, the skin so soft around Chan’s arm, brushing against his bracelet.

Felix sighs as he slips under, lulled into sleep by Changbin’s words - we have you baby, you’re our good boy, you’re so lovely for us - and by his exhaustion. He inhales once, twice deeply, his chest rising and falling so lovely under the yellow lights of the van, tucking his face blindly into the pillow. He sighs again, inhaling deeply because he seeks his alpha’s scent, relying on it to take him that last bit towards sleep. The fact that instinct is there, still, after so long of not having instincts is intoxicating because some part of Felix knows he’s full, understands base animalistic behaviour even as his conscious self doesn’t.

Chan looks down at him, and he’s struck by how much their baby trusts Chan to take care of his almost naked body, spread out on the mattress like an offering to a God somewhere long ago.

This is love, he thinks, and he knows Changbin feels the same way because he can see the red and the gold in his eyes, the brilliance of alpha in his gaze vibrant because he, just like Chan, loves Felix so much, so deeply.

This is their good boy.

And they have so much more to teach him.

Notes:

I hope you enjoyed this little foray into what it is like in Chan's head. I do so enjoy his lovely perspective - he is so loving but he also has so much information about the pack so there are always nice little things to add in here and there.

I shall ask a question again as I am undecided. My house has not sold yet and I am still working on it so I have some unexpected time. I am still working on Chapter Eleven of Sanctuary which will be posted in the next few weeks, but there is still more kinktober to work through. Which story shall I work on next?

- Chan/Jisung aftercare from 'calm down, calm down'?

- Hyunjin/Felix - corset?

- Minho/Chan - middle of the night?

- Seungmin/Minho/Hyunjin - sounding?
