“Lift your right arm a little,” Celegorm said calmly. “Maintain tension and focus.”
When Huan nudged his shin gently, he gave an uncomfortable shrug—he still wasn’t convinced that he was the best person to instruct his young half-cousin in the art of archery, but she’d been adamant.
While Celegorm gladly conceded that he might well be the best archer amongst Finwë’s grandchildren, he was also woefully aware of his shortcomings as a teacher.
“Good form,” he praised carefully.
Aredhel gave him a withering glance over her shoulder before focusing on lining up her shot once more.
Then, she let loose—the arrow sped in a straight line towards the target and almost hit its centre.
“Well done,” Celegorm exclaimed, earnest enthusiasm dispelling his discomfort.
“Again,” she merely decreed. “Suggestions?”
