What If...?: The Potter family didn't have only one child?
Twin
Amid the eerie atmosphere of Halloween night, within the Potter household, a day that should have been a celebration for the family's twin children turned into a day of tragedy. The lifeless body of James Potter lay motionless in the middle of the house, surrounded by the corpses of numerous Death Eaters scattered around. He had struggled and fought to the very last second to protect his wife and children.
In the children's bedroom on the second floor, the sight that unfolded was that of the mother, Lily Evans, or Lily Potter, who had sacrificed herself, using an ancient spell to protect her children from the Killing Curse cast by the Dark Lord himself—Lord no nose (apologies for the slip, I meant Voldemort). When the Killing Curse collided with the ancient magic Lily had cast, it reflected back at the one who had cast it, destroying him. In exchange for this, Lily gave her life to protect her two precious children.
If a regular person had been struck by the Killing Curse, they would have perished in an instant. But Lily fought against the inevitable death that approached her, enduring the unbearable pain that could have killed her with a single blink. Yet, she still dragged herself to comfort her children, ensuring they fell asleep peacefully, her lifeless body collapsing beside them, lying next to her most important children.
“Lily! No! Nooooooo!” The shout of denial came from the figure of a man with greasy hair, dressed in black robes.
As soon as Lily's life had faded, Severus Snape rushed in, filled with panic, fear, and despair. No matter how much he wanted to run and embrace Lily, all he could do was cry silently, as he noticed that beside her lifeless body, there was a tiny creature sleeping peacefully.
He made a decision to lift both children as gently as possible and cast the Silencing Charm to prevent them from waking. Then, he hurriedly carried them to a place as fast as he could. He grabbed some Floo powder from the hearth downstairs, tossed it into the flames, and spoke the name of a place. Moments later, the fire in the hearth revealed the aging face of the most powerful white wizard of the time— Albus Dumbledore.
“…I beg you,” Snape pleaded, his face filled with tears and sorrow as he spoke to the man he most desperately needed to ask for help
.
On the other side, in the Nurmengard prison, in the highest cell, the figure who did not appear to be as aged as his years, except for his white hair, was sitting. The man who nearly burned down Paris and set all of Europe aflame— the first Dark Lord, Gellert Grindelwald—was sitting in the corner of his cell, his hands and feet bound with enchanted chains. Yet, it did not hide the aura of leadership that still emanated from him, even as he was imprisoned in the very place that had been built to contain his enemies. There was no sense of surrender in his gaze, no sign of regret for being locked away… but perhaps there was only one thing that could truly imprison him: his feelings for a certain person.
As his magical power began to wane, something stirred within him. His eyes turned completely white, as if he had lost his sanity. Now, Gellert's physical form had entered a state of prophetic vision. If one were to describe it in the simplest way, it was as though he was predicting the future… but it was only one possibility among an infinite number of possible futures.
In this world, whether it be prophecy, fortune-telling, or even the abilities, tools, and spells related to the future, none of them were ever complete. What they could show was simply a small scene, a glimpse into the endless possibilities of what might come to pass. However, there was one thing to note. in this world, the future that could be revealed would never be one that was impossible.
“Ha! Hah! Ha! Hah!” Suddenly, a burst of laughter echoed through the silent prison cell. “I truly want to see the future you’ll create, Potter siblings!”
Unbeknownst to them, or anyone else, the ancient spell that Lily had cast had set the gears of fate into motion, altering everything. Chaos erupted in just the fraction of a second on that fateful night, bringing forth an outcome that no one could have predicted.

The sound of dozens of children playing filled the air with innocence. Beneath the shade of a tree by the playground, two children, a boy and a girl, sat together. They looked remarkably alike—both with shiny black hair as dark as the night and eyes as green as emeralds, their gaze bright like glass. The boy wore round black-rimmed glasses, just like the girl.
The little girl spoke in a soft voice, her words filled with unease.
"Big brother, I feel strange again..." she said, her voice tinged with concern.
The boy, her older sibling, reassured her with warmth in his tone.
"If you can't handle it, just leave it to me, little one. Whatever happens, I'll always be here to protect you," he said, gently reaching out to pat her head, his voice filled with care.
"Stop making me blush!" The girl giggled, her pale cheeks turning a soft shade of pink from the unexpected affection.
As Harry Potter—her older brother—spoke, his chin resting on her shoulder, he pulled her closer into a protective hug. The girl, Rosemary Potter, felt her face flush slightly under his gentle embrace.
But at that moment, something strange stirred within Harry’s body. He could feel an unfamiliar energy, some force that seemed to be radiating from Rose. He instinctively tried to focus, blocking out the feeling, struggling to keep himself calm and grounded.
Rose, sensing his discomfort, looked up at him with wide, worried eyes, as if silently asking if he was okay.
Before either could react further, a voice called out to them.
"Happy birthday to both of you!" said Sister, kneeling to their eye level with a smile. "And I have something special for you both."
The two children glanced at each other, still confused. The nun handed them a letter, her smile warm and inviting. "This letter is for you both. It’s from someone important."
Sister guided them to an elderly woman dressed in black robes, but the two children were more focused on the letter than the woman herself. They stared at the letter in confusion. From the moment they could remember, it had always just been the two of them—no other family, no relatives, no one else who had shown any interest in them.
As they stood there, holding the letter, a sense of both excitement and mystery lingered in the air. They had no idea what was inside the letter, or who it might be from. But they both felt an unspoken pull toward it, as if this letter held the key to their past—or perhaps to a future they had never imagined.

After reading the letter, we looked at each other in slight disbelief. Before any of us could speak, a voice interrupted the moment.
"Thank you, Professor McGonagall, for accepting our children into your school. I can assure you, Harry and Rosemary are the brightest children you'll ever have," the Sister said with an excited expression to the elderly woman in front of her.
"You're very welcome, Sister. It's my duty to accept talented students," the elderly woman replied with a kindly smile.
As we stood in front of the strange building, which seemed completely out of place in the middle of London, we couldn’t help but feel a bit confused. The sign above the door read "The Leaky Cauldron," and the structure looked like it had been plucked right out of a past era. The elderly woman who had brought us here, Professor Minerva McGonagall, stood ahead of us.
"Professor McGonagall, are we really wizards and witches?" young Harry asked, seeking confirmation of the thoughts that had been swirling in his mind.
"Yes, Mr. Potter. You are both wizards and witches, without a doubt," Professor McGonagall replied firmly and seriously.
McGonagall led the way inside, while Harry and Rosemary, holding hands tightly in nervousness, followed closely behind. Inside, the shop was filled with strange items that didn’t seem to belong to the modern world. There was no electricity, no air conditioning—only candles and open windows. Despite this, the warmth of the place and the light from the candles seemed brighter than usual.
A man who appeared to be the shopkeeper noticed McGonagall’s arrival and greeted her with a friendly, familiar manner.
"Welcome, Professor. Another guide for the new students today, I see," he said.
"Hello, Tom. I must be on my way now," McGonagall replied with a smile.
"Good luck, Professor."
With that, McGonagall led us to a door at the back of the shop. Behind it was a wall made of bricks. She tapped the bricks with her umbrella a few times, and the wall moved aside, revealing a bustling street filled with people. Shops lined the path, selling strange items—golden broomsticks floating as shop mascots, plants in pots coiled like springs, and sunflowers with eyes and smiling faces. One shop sold magical equipment, with wands displayed in the window inscribed with strange runes.
"Professor McGonagall," Harry asked while walking alongside her, Rosemary still being carried in his arms, "how are we supposed to buy all this stuff? We don’t have any money."
"Don’t worry, Mr. Potter," McGonagall replied with a rare smile. "Your parents wouldn't let their children go without. Ah, here we are—Gringotts."
At Gringotts, they continued through a winding corridor where small, pointy-eared creatures worked at desks. Professor McGonagall explained that these creatures were Goblins—intelligent, perhaps even more so than humans, but with little concern for human interaction, as they were naturally very greedy. The Goblins scurried around, some filing documents, others stamping them, until they reached the last desk in the center.
"Mr. Potter wish to withdraw some funds."
"Do you have the key?" asked the Goblin behind the desk, craning his neck to look down at McGonagall from over two meters high.
McGonagall nodded, producing a golden key and placing it on the desk. Harry wasn’t paying much attention to the conversation; he was too busy teasing Rosemary, who still clung to him in his arms, as they followed McGonagall and the Goblin into the depths below, where a large underground tunnel stretched ahead. A small railcar waited, and the ride felt like a rollercoaster, leaving Harry and Rosemary holding on as they traveled through the darkness.
Eventually, they arrived at vault number 687. The Goblin opened the vault to reveal piles of gold Galleons, the wizarding currency, filling the vault. Harry and Rosemary stood frozen for a moment, taking in the sight of so much wealth. The Goblin, clearly impatient, urged them to hurry—"Every second is a Galleon."
They hurriedly filled a small dragon-hide pouch, enchanted to expand to hold more than it appeared to. Amid the Galleons, Harry’s eyes were drawn to a small, worn black notebook in the corner of the vault. He picked it up and tucked it into the pouch, deciding to ask McGonagall about it later. Rosemary, too, seemed to have found something that caught her interest. Harry had never seen her smile quite like that—except, perhaps, when she smiled at him.
"Brother, I’ll tell you when we’re alone later," Rosemary whispered in a soft, sweet voice, her hand covering her ear.
"I’ll do anything for you, little sister," Harry smiled warmly, reaching out to gently ruffle her hair. "Let’s get our wands first, and then we’ll go to the bookshop, okay?"
"Yeah! We have to buy our schoolbooks anyway, right? I’m curious about other books, too... especially... the ones about blood magic."
"Don't let anyone hear you say that, my beautiful flower," Harry teased.
"You're sick..." Rosemary replied, her face flushed with embarrassment.
A young boy, holding a small girl who resembled his younger sister, followed Professor McGonagall closely, whispering and laughing happily. It was a rare sight, a display of innocence(?) and naivety(?) from the children, which made many people smile warmly in response.
They arrived at the tailoring shop ‘Madam Malkin's Robes for All Occasions’. Inside, the shop was calm and quiet, with only a few customers. The measuring process for their clothes was simpler than they had expected, taking just a few minutes. They chatted quietly while waiting for their clothes, until the doorbell jingled, announcing the arrival of a young boy with blonde hair, dressed in a fancy black outfit.
Before long, the blonde boy sat next to them and asked something. Meanwhile, Professor McGonagall was conversing with Madam Malkin.
"Are you going to Hogwarts too? I'm Draco. Draco Malfoy."
"Nice to meet you."
Although Draco's words were brief, Rose, who was in Harry's arms, felt something contradictory about him. Despite his outward haughty tone, she sensed that he might be looking for a friend. Since he didn't seem particularly interested in making male friends, Rose let Harry speak for her while she snuggled back into his embrace.
Harry conversed with Draco for a while, feeling a twinge of sympathy for the boy who had been raised in such a strange way. It was probably acceptable within the circles of aristocratic families. Before parting ways, they exchanged well wishes.
Next, they headed to Ollivanders, the wand shop. The shop was small and compact, but it seemed vast once you looked deeper inside, filled with thousands of wand boxes.
"Hello, Professor McGonagall. A fir wood with a dragon heartstring core, nine and a half inches, rigid and unyielding."
"Hello, Ollivander. I've heard much about you."
"Aha... You must be the Potters. I've been waiting for you. It feels like just yesterday your parents came in to choose their wands. Who goes first?"
"I'll go first," Harry replied.
The elderly man, with white hair that made him resemble Einstein, stepped down from the stairs and greeted Professor McGonagall. He then selected a wand from behind him and handed it to Harry, who set Rose down on a nearby chair. Harry waved the wand, and if it had caused a vase to shatter, the commotion wouldn't have seemed unusual in Ollivander's shop, where chaos was a regular occurrence.
Harry tried several wands until he found one that stood out—an unusual off-white wand. The first sensation when he held it was a low growl of a dragon emanating from the wand. Though the sound wasn’t loud, it was clear enough for everyone in the shop to hear.
"Interesting... I never thought this wand would choose you."
"What do you mean?"
"I remember every wand I've ever sold, Mr. Potter. This one is made from English oak, said to be the same wood used by Merlin himself. The core is a dragon heartstring, but no one knows whose dragon heartstring it is. All I know is that this wand has been in this shop since I was a child."
Once Harry had his wand, it was Rose's turn. She was like Harry in that she initially had trouble finding the right wand, but unlike Harry, every wand she tried seemed to react with fear.
"Interesting... You seem to be a tricky, fussy customer, huh?"
Though he grumbled, the old man still smiled, amused by how Rose seemed to be challenging each wand. It was a fun challenge for him, as it allowed him to learn more about the wands and their users. Finally, Rose found the wand that was best suited for her.
As soon as Rose held the wand, a magical phenomenon occurred, just like Harry's. The low growl of a dragon was heard, but Rose’s was different—hers was a mighty roar that seemed to overpower everything around it.
Wand Details:
Harry: English oak, dragon heartstring core, rigid and unyielding, 13 inches.
Rose: Holly wood, dragon heartstring core, rigid and unyielding, 11 inches.
The price for each wand, certified by the school, was only 7 Galleons, which was quite cheap, considering the life-or-death consequences of choosing the wrong one.
After finishing their business at Ollivanders, Harry, Rose, and Professor McGonagall went to their final stop of the day: The Leaky Cauldron, a wizarding bookshop. As soon as they entered, it was impossible not to notice how their usual calm expressions were now gleaming with excitement.
Within just a few minutes of being in the shop, they were treated like VIPs due to their massive book order, which, if calculated, would amount to four figures in Galleons. Every book they bought was neatly packed into Harry's leather dragon-hide bag without a second thought. Despite Professor McGonagall’s attempts to stop them, she couldn't halt the book-loving siblings from clearing the shelves.
After buying everything they needed, they returned to the Leaky Cauldron, where they rented a room to stay until the start of the term. Initially, Professor McGonagall had opposed their staying there, fearing the danger, but after some persuasion about their education in magic, she relented. They even mentioned Tom, the tavern owner, which ultimately sealed the deal, and they were allowed to stay.
Professor McGonagall could only sigh as she watched the two Potter children, realizing that Tom, being an acquaintance, could look after them. She suspected they would be fine as long as they followed basic wizarding logic. It seemed like she would have to leave the two kids in Tom's care.
.
A few months passed since Harry and Rose began staying at The Leaky Cauldron, and the day to head off to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry finally arrived. After bidding farewell to a few people who had looked after them during this time, they set off on their journey, following the directions provided by Tom, the owner of the tavern.
It was an incredibly fun first-time experience for them. It started with pointing their wands at the street, and that alone was enough to summon the Knight Bus, a purple triple-decker bus, which took them from Diagon Alley to the train station for just 1 Galleon and a few Sickles, which also covered the cost of a hot chocolate. It was delicious and definitely worth the price. It seemed Rose was particularly fond of the taste.
Along the way, the Knight Bus swerved and zigzagged, avoiding cars, and even squeezed through narrow spaces between vehicles, just inches wide, all without spilling a drop of the hot chocolate. Despite the shaking, it added a bit of excitement to their journey, and it wasn't long before Harry and Rose were laughing and smiling at the whole situation.
Eventually, they reached their destination—the train station—where they walked to Platform 9¾, carrying the two medium-sized leather bags that Harry held with one hand. They had purchased the bags from Gringotts, though they were slightly more expensive than the average price. However, they made traveling much more convenient.
As Tom had instructed, Harry and Rose walked toward the third pillar between platforms 9 and 10. Harry noticed people pushing their luggage toward the pillar, just as Tom had mentioned. He guided Rose, who was curiously looking around, to walk toward it as well. It was as if they had entered a different era. Platform 9¾ still had the old-fashioned steam train, unlike the modern and clean Muggle trains.
The train slowly started moving from the platform, and Harry and Rose managed to find an empty compartment. It was the last car of the train, and it was the first car to offer snacks. Without wasting any time, Harry and Rose bought everything from the trolley, then quickly closed the compartment door and put up a "Do Not Disturb" sign, making the windows go completely opaque except for the compartment's window.
"Remember what I told you when we were at Gringotts for the first time?" Rose asked.
"Of course, you said you had something to tell me when we were alone, but you couldn’t tell me at The Leaky Cauldron because there were too many witches and wizards there," Harry replied.
Rose’s face, which had been cold and distant on the outside, now softened into a bright and innocent smile, radiating from her delicate face. She shifted her sitting position, moving from resting her shoulder on Harry to sitting across from him. She reached into her dragon-hide bag and pulled out something—a black wand box that looked somewhat old but still held an air of magic about it.
"This is the wand I found in the vault my parents left behind. I can feel it’s the one that suits me best. And I also know that the other one is perfect for you," she said.
When Harry received the box, they exchanged a smile and looked at each other before opening the boxes. Harry’s wand was made of pure black crystal, with a platinum handle—white gold—that was engraved with the Potter family crest. Rose’s wand was pale white with golden etchings resembling scales running along its length, and the handle was shaped like a lion’s head, with horns and serpent-like patterns twisting around it.
Wands from the Potter Family Vault:
Harry: Hornbeam, Thestral Hair Core, 13 inches
Though Thestral hair is known for being a core that no wandmaker can create a wand with that lasts as long as an Elder Wand (which is associated with Death), it has earned the title "The Uncertainty" because it can heal itself. It is also the most temperamental core in the world. However, when paired with Hornbeam—a wood known for adapting to its user, whether good or bad—the wand balances out its instability. It allows its user to adapt to death and may even make the user a "Master of Death."
Rose: Yew, Chimera Scale Fragment Core, 11 inches
The Chimera scale fragment is a core that is now rare, with only a few pieces left in the world, as no one can kill a Chimera anymore. It is known for its balance of power but also has immense strength. Paired with Yew, which represents both life and death, and is known for being used in both healing and lethal curses, this combination grants the user the potential to be both a saint and a demon in one person.
“Ha... why does the beautiful flower of mine always make me want to keep her by my side, never letting her go?”
Harry tightened his grip on Rose, pulling her closer to him. Her slender arms wrapped around his neck, and their faces were mere centimeters apart. Rose’s emerald eyes met his fiery red ones as their lips almost touched before being sealed together. His rough tongue invaded her mouth as hers, small and sweet, tried to fight back, only to be overwhelmed by his every time.
As they kissed, Harry shifted from a sitting to a lying position, now on top of Rose. Their lips parted, leaving a shimmering thread connecting them. Rose gazed at him with eyes that sparkled like hearts, completely captivated by the one who was her entire world. Harry wanted to continue, but he still knew there were things he needed to do.
Gently, Harry lifted Rose into his arms and rested her head against his chest. He quietly cast a spell to summon a blanket to cover both of them. The warmth and love they shared made the time fly by, and nearly ten hours passed, the brief moments of intimacy becoming cherished memories in both their minds.
When they reached their destination, the Hogwarts Express station, the sky that had been bright blue turned to a dark night. Harry and Rose adjusted their cloaks and covered up the marks on their necks before stepping off the train, blending in with the other students who were descending in groups. Then, a familiar voice called out from the front of the train.
“First years, over here! Don’t be shy! Come on!”
The voice belonged to Hagrid, the half-giant, who led the first-year students to the boats. Harry and Rose were at the back of the line, holding hands to avoid standing out, but someone had noticed them.
“Hey, Potter siblings!”
“Hey, Draco,” Harry greeted.
“…Hi,” Rose added.
“Still quiet as ever, little Potter. Anyway, I’ve got something to tell you. Did you know that this year, Neville Longbottom, the Boy Who Lived, is also starting at Hogwarts?”
Harry responded casually while Rose tightened her grip on his hand, answering in short words. Draco, understanding the Potters' bond, didn’t find it strange and proceeded to share what he’d overheard from his father.
“Your dad probably wants you to be friends with the Boy Who Lived, right? Because he’s pureblood, you know.”
“Tch, don’t mention that. I don’t really care about the whole blood status thing. It seems kind of ridiculous. But... I’ll admit, I’m still proud to be a pureblood,” Harry said with a smirk.
“That’s not wrong, believing in your family’s traditions. But you should be yourself. Do what makes you happy,” Rose added softly.
Harry gently carried Rose to the boat, being careful as they boarded. It was a small boat on the edge of the lake, with the darkness surrounding them illuminated only by the moon and lanterns. They were the last to board, and the boat only had room for four or five people. In their boat, it was Harry, Rose, and Draco—just the three of them.
Before they could set off, Draco did something unexpected. He confidently stepped up to Harry and extended his hand.
“I’m Draco... Draco Malfoy.”
“I’m Harry... Harry Potter. Nice to meet you again, Draco,” Harry said, shaking his hand.
“…Rose Potter,” Rose added.
Draco’s face, once full of arrogance, now showed a newfound confidence. After thinking things over—especially after his recent open conversation with his mother—he was beginning to let go of his old self. But of course, change took time.
However, Rose, seeing Draco still holding Harry’s hand, swatted his hand away and pulled Harry’s hand to her chest, hugging him tightly like a jealous cat whose toy had been taken away. This made both Harry and Draco laugh.
The small boat began to move, ripples forming across the lake. As they passed through towering trees and branches, the magnificent Hogwarts castle slowly came into view, standing tall and grand. Though it was breathtaking, Harry’s attention was solely on Rose, whose eyes, now reflecting the moonlight, gradually shifted from emerald green to crystal pink. She seemed lost in the stars above, unaware of the world around her.
It was as if, for that moment, she wasn’t even aware of where she was. She drifted in her own thoughts, until they reached the Hogwarts pier. Her eyes returned to their usual green as they stepped off the boat.
Draco, not noticing anything unusual, continued talking with Harry from time to time.
When they entered Hogwarts, the stone hallways, floating candles, and moving pictures on the walls amazed the new students. However, Harry and Rose were used to it, having grown up in the wizarding world.
Rose, curious, asked Harry, “Do you think if we put someone inside that armor, they’d die from being crushed when it moves?”
“I think it’d be annoying. What do you think, Draco?”
Draco replied nonchalantly, “If someone were actually inside, it would just be a normal suit of armor because there’s a law regulating magical items.”
Rose’s question made Harry chuckle lightly, and Draco chimed in with a more law-abiding explanation. Their contrasting personalities—one curious and reckless, the other logical and practical—created a perfect blend of unpredictability.
“That’s a shame,” Rose sighed.
“You should be quiet, little Potter. Your ideas are—”
“Brilliant, right? Who’s my cute little sister?” Harry teased.
Their conversation, filled with playful banter, went unnoticed by the other new students, who were caught up in their own conversations about the Boy Who Lived, Neville Longbottom. Although the crowd around them was thick, Harry and Rose had no trouble hearing each other, and Draco, eager to keep up with the gossip, hopped around despite his shorter stature.
At the front of the group, an older woman awaited them eagerly.
“Welcome to Hogwarts. Beyond these doors, you will meet your fellow classmates and undergo the Sorting ceremony. We have four Houses: Gryffindor, Ravenclaw, Hufflepuff, and Slytherin...”
Professor McGonagall’s welcoming speech continued briefly before she disappeared behind the doors, leaving the first-years to await their Sorting. As they waited, a few of the students were talking loudly about Neville Longbottom, but things soon escalated as one student, Ron Weasley, stood up to defend Neville.
“Need help, Draco?” Harry asked.
“No, it’s fine… I see them. But, Draco? That’s my name. Never mind. The brown-haired kid is Theodore Nott. He’s pureblood and does well in potions. The redhead... Well, he’s a Weasley. You can guess what that means—traitor blood.”
Draco couldn’t help but explain in a matter-of-fact way, but quickly realized how blunt he was being and backpedaled.
“Don’t get me wrong, it’s just that my family and theirs don’t get along. But honestly, they can’t even afford a new wand. I bet this year will be interesting.”
“I bet the redhead ends up hexing himself,” Harry teased.
“Maybe he’ll break a bone,” Rose added mischievously.
“I bet he ends up in the hospital wing. Loser has to ask a stranger for directions to the restroom and walk back alone. Deal?”
“Deal!” they both agreed, shaking hands.
"Don’t get me wrong, it’s just that our families don’t get along. But one thing’s for sure, the Weasleys don’t even have enough money to buy a new wand. I bet something fun is going to happen this year."
"I bet the redhead will cast a spell and hit himself."
"I bet he’ll break a bone or two."
"I think he’ll end up in the hospital wing. The loser has to ask a stranger for directions to the bathroom and walk back. Deal?"
"Deal!"
It was as if the redhead had some kind of magical sense. Suddenly, his face turned pale, and others noticed. Before things could escalate, Professor McGonagall returned and tapped Ron Weasley on the head, who was standing at the front of the group. She then led the new students inside.
Inside, the long hall was decorated with floating candles, chandeliers, ghosts, and a ceiling showing a starry night sky. At the end of the hall, there were chairs and an old black hat placed on a pedestal. Behind the chairs was the staff table, where all the Hogwarts staff sat. The elderly man sitting in the center was the greatest wizard of all, the headmaster, Albus Dumbledore.
"We have a couple of rules we’d like you to remember. The Forbidden Forest is off-limits to everyone..."
While the headmaster spoke, not a word reached the ears of the two Potter siblings. They were playfully passing magic back and forth between the hands they were holding. Draco, unaware of what was happening, sighed in exasperation.
"When I call your name, step forward. I’ll place the Sorting Hat on your head, and it will sort you into one of the houses..."
Professor McGonagall started calling the names one by one. Draco was sorted into Slytherin after the Sorting Hat took a few minutes to decide. The majority of students were sorted into Hufflepuff, Gryffindor, Ravenclaw, and Slytherin, in that order. Eventually, it was Harry’s turn.
"Harry Potter."
Professor McGonagall called his name in her usual strong voice.
Harry, called to the front, walked from the back of the line, allowing the others to see the figure of a pale boy with black hair, his face partly hidden by his messy hair and glasses. He sat down on the stool as Professor McGonagall placed the Sorting Hat on his head.
"Hmm, difficult... very difficult. You are brave, even when you know it’s dangerous. You have a terrifying thirst for knowledge and curiosity, so much so that I wonder if you’re truly a Potter. Hmm... you’re loyal, but you could betray if it meant protecting those you love. Oh! Yes! You’re a natural genius, maybe even more than Merlin himself. Interesting..."
As the Hat pondered, it dug deeper into Harry’s mind, becoming more and more intrigued by his soul’s complexity. The Hat could not decide which house to place him in.
"Anywhere, as long as I’m with my sister," Harry whispered, his expression emotionless, different from when he was with Rose.
"Got it... SLYTHERIN!!!"
The people in the hall looked at Harry with confusion, but light applause came from the Slytherin table. Harry sat down at the empty seat at the Slytherin table, and Professor McGonagall called the next name, which was his sister’s.
"Rosemary Potter."
Professor McGonagall spoke, raising the Sorting Hat. Rose, without hesitation or embarrassment, walked up and sat in the chair. Her eyes briefly glanced at Harry, now sitting at the Slytherin table in his green uniform. As she sat down and the Hat touched her head, it immediately called out:
"SLYTHERIN!!!"
The Hat didn’t even touch her head fully before it declared her to be in Slytherin, setting a new record for speed. Not caring about the looks from others, Harry applauded loudly, the only one doing so. Rose happily walked over to sit next to Harry. The Sorting Ceremony continued, with Draco also being placed in Slytherin, while the Boy Who Lived, Neville Longbottom, was sorted into Gryffindor, as expected, though his expression wasn’t very happy.
After the Sorting, the feast began. The Headmaster spoke a few words before magically making food appear. Did the two siblings pay attention? Of course not. After the feast, they went to their respective houses. The first-years followed their prefects, and Harry and Rose made their way to the Slytherin common room, which was located under the castle. They were separated once they reached the common room. Rose wasn’t very happy about it, but she trusted Harry’s promise that they would still be able to sleep together.
When they reached Harry’s room, it was as he had expected. He was given a single room due to the prejudice of the older students, who followed the pure-blood theory. Half-bloods and Muggle-borns had to stay in separate rooms. Harry used his magic to prepare the room, using a spell he had invented called ‘Creation.’ It was a spell he had developed while in the Rookery, after studying for more than a few days. This spell could create objects with specific structures using the right amount of magical energy.
It wasn’t just Harry who had invented a spell—Rose had also created her own spell, "Shadowless Arrow," which used little magic but produced excellent results. They had used it on those who had murderous intent in Knockturn Alley. The spell would materialize several transparent arrows hovering above their heads before launching toward the target.
"First, I need to create an item to nullify dimensional resistance."
"(Creation)"
With the speed of thought, magical energy flowed from Harry’s palm, forming a large spherical object, like a crystal ball, with ancient runes carved inside. The runes seemed more powerful than anything Harry had seen, even in Diagon Alley or the Ancient Wizardry Museum.
He placed it in the center of the room and activated it. Several light beams stretched out, like tree branches growing, eventually covering the entire room before fading away. Harry could feel that he could now perform dimensional spells within the room.
He cast a spell to expand the room and hide the magic, causing the small room to grow large enough to accommodate several people. Without high-level detection magic, no one would know that a spell had been cast.
"Next is the summoning circle."
Harry drew a summoning circle on the floor with chalk he had brought with him. He recited the summoning incantation, and his magical energy began to drain quickly to power the summoning process. The circle glowed brighter and brighter until, finally, a familiar figure appeared—a girl in Slytherin robes with a bag by her side. The first thing she did was leap onto Harry, straddling him.
"Don’t worry, I’ve created this room for the two of us. From now on, we’ll be together in here," Harry reassured her.
"Mm!"
After that, Harry let Rose cling to him while he waved his wand to arrange their belongings, before guiding her to the bed to prepare for the new day.
.
As the sun replaced the moon, its warm rays gently touched the faces of the two siblings. Harry woke up and looked at the scene in front of him, which was as beautiful as always, never boring since he could remember. The cute and tender face of Rose, who was nestled against his chest, greeted him.
He gently woke Rose, who was pretending to sleep, to get ready for class. He cast a daily-use spell, "Cleanse and Refresh," to get rid of any dirt from their bodies. Although Hogwarts had showers, he didn't want to risk being separated from Rose, so they used magic instead.
After they got dressed in their school robes, the two siblings cast the "Distraction" charm. The spell made it so that people around them would ignore them, like stones by the roadside or part of the scenery, but they would still exist. The charm would wear off if there were no other living beings around, and it was no longer effective. Once prepared, they made their way to class.
The morning class was Transfiguration with Professor McGonagall, the Head of Gryffindor House. Slytherin had joined with the other three houses, and Harry and Rose arrived early, along with Draco. They secured seats at the back, where they wouldn't draw much attention. The lesson began with theory, but some students, including Harry's nemesis Neville and his sidekick Ron, were late. During practicals, Harry and Rose effortlessly transformed matchsticks, impressing even Draco, who, thanks to their help, was the first to finish. Professor McGonagall awarded Slytherin a few points.
The afternoon class was Potions, taught by Professor Snape, Head of Slytherin House. The Gryffindors joined Slytherins again for the lesson. As usual, Snape tried to put Harry Potter under pressure, asking him easy questions from the first-year Potions book, which Harry answered smoothly. After answering every question correctly, Snape gave Harry's house some points and turned to the rest of the class, instructing them to write down Harry's answers in their notes.
Later, the lesson took a chaotic turn when Seamus Finnegan accidentally blew up his cauldron, causing a potion explosion. The blast sent potions flying, injuring Seamus and Neville, who were too close. They had to be carried to the infirmary by Madam Pomfrey, Hogwarts' best healer, who was the only one available.
By the time evening dinner rolled around, the incident in Potions had made its rounds as gossip through Hogwarts. The Daily Prophet even ran a front-page story about the incident, linking it with a robbery at Gringotts, written by Rita Skeeter, the journalist notorious for sensationalizing bad news.
The next day, Harry and Rose had their Flying lesson. The class was going well, with Draco showing off his flying skills, but disaster struck again. Neville, unable to control his broomstick, soared too high and then plummeted, crashing onto the ground. Professor Hooch tried to stop him with magic, but it was too late. Neville sustained serious injuries, and even some other students got hurt trying to dodge him.
News of Neville's accident spread quickly, further tarnishing his reputation, especially with the Slytherins mocking him. No Gryffindors stepped up to defend him, except for his red-haired sidekick Ron, who ended up being carried off to the infirmary as well after tripping on the grass.
During a break in the afternoon, with no more classes for the day and Neville and Ron in the hospital wing, Harry, Rose, and Draco spent time in the library. Draco, though sometimes dozing off, was still trying his best to study. Harry and Rose, on the other hand, were reading books beyond their year level, which earned them glares from some of their peers. Hermione Granger, a muggle-born girl with bushy hair and prominent front teeth, scolded them for reading ahead. Rose nearly drew her wand to retaliate, but Madam Pince stepped in just in time and reprimanded Hermione for being so loud. Hermione reluctantly walked off, but if Madam Pince hadn't intervened, Rose might have resorted to darker magic.
"That crazy girl, so annoying," Rose muttered, her voice emotionless as her eyes briefly turned a pale pink before returning to their usual emerald hue.
"Are you a seer?" Draco asked.
"Well, you could say that, but Rose hasn't trained yet," Harry answered for Rose, who had dozed off in his lap. He gently stroked her hair while continuing to read.
Two months passed, and Harry and Rose’s life at Hogwarts seemed unchanged. It was a routine life filled with happiness for the two of them. Draco had matured considerably, becoming a leader of their year and the head of Slytherin House. Many students showed him respect, which in turn helped Harry and Rose avoid trouble.
On Halloween morning, they had a Charms lesson with Professor Flitwick, the half-goblin professor from Ravenclaw House. They learned the Levitation Charm, "Wingardium Leviosa," a simple spell that wasn’t powerful but useful in daily life. It was an easy lesson, until Ron Weasley got into an argument with Hermione over the pronunciation of the spell. Meanwhile, Seamus, ever the troublemaker, managed to blow up a feather with his attempt at the charm, maintaining his reputation as Hogwarts' "resident explosion expert."
After the morning class, Harry and Rose went back to the library. They were there until Madam Pince, as usual, caught them reading and remembered their faces. That evening, Draco walked with them back to their common room. At first, he was surprised to see Harry and Rose sharing a room, but he quickly accepted it with a resigned look, signaling he would try to get used to it.
Later, they quietly celebrated Halloween in their room, remembering their parents, James and Lily Potter, who had been killed by Death Eaters. Harry didn’t have many memories of them, only what he had read in newspapers and history books. They were both gone, and so was their godfather, Sirius Black, who had been imprisoned after allegedly killing muggles.
They had a simple celebration before curling up together in bed. It didn’t take long for them to fall asleep, unaware that that night, a tragedy was about to strike...
.
The next morning, the sunlight greeted the two siblings as they woke up feeling refreshed. They met up with Draco, but the atmosphere around them was heavy with gloom, especially among the Gryffindors. Draco quickly explained what had happened the night before.
Last night, three trolls had somehow escaped and caused havoc, driven by an insatiable hunger. These trolls were far more aggressive than usual. The first troll was discovered in the girls' bathroom, where it had severely injured a first-year Gryffindor girl by smashing her. Two Gryffindor boys, trying to show off their bravery, were also badly hurt before any professors arrived to stop the chaos. The injured students were immediately sent to St. Mungo’s Hospital for Magical Maladies and Injuries that very night.
The other two trolls were found in a corridor between the dungeons and the towers, a route that connected all four houses. All four house groups came across the creatures, and older students from Gryffindor, Slytherin, and Ravenclaw worked together to manage the situation. Eventually, the staff arrived to handle it, and points were awarded to Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw for their teamwork. Each house received 50 points.
As for Gryffindor, known for its courage, the students had been the first to panic. They froze, paralyzed with fear, and ran away, leaving some students who had fainted from terror behind. Although no one was punished, the Gryffindors found it difficult to face the other three houses after their cowardice had been exposed.
The reputation of the Boy Who Lived was thoroughly tarnished, and even the face of the headmaster bore a bruise from an altercation with Mr. Weasley, who had punched him. Numerous angry letters from parents of students at Hogwarts were sent to the headmaster, questioning his ability to protect the students and the school's safety measures. As a result, the headmaster had to go to the Ministry of Magic to explain the situation.
.
A few weeks later, after the Gryffindors who had been to St. Mungo's Hospital returned, the big secret about Neville becoming the Seeker was revealed. It was the redhead who had blurted it out, and soon enough, everyone knew. Despite this, the redhead was not mobbed by the Gryffindors, much to everyone's surprise.
Today was the day of the Quidditch match, almost as if it were meant to lift the spirits of the students. Slytherin was playing against Gryffindor, and Ravenclaw was facing Hufflepuff. Although they would have preferred to stay in their room, the siblings decided to sit in the Slytherin stands, as it was Draco’s first Quidditch match. They knew it would be a huge disappointment if they didn’t show up to support him.
As the game began, Slytherin stuck to its usual strategy of aggression, causing several Gryffindor players to be hit by Bludgers. When it came time to release the Golden Snitch, Draco and Neville were flying side by side on their broomsticks. But at one point, Neville's broom seemed to malfunction, though it returned to normal shortly after. Rose's eyes shifted to a pink color.
"Brother, I saw Professor Kreebel curse Longbottom’s broom. The headmaster cast a spell to stop it."
"And was there any malicious intent towards us or Draco?" Harry asked.
"No," Rose replied calmly, "but let it go."
With nothing more to discuss, the two siblings continued to quietly cheer for Draco. In the final moments of the game, just before Draco could catch the Snitch, Neville managed to outmaneuver him, as though aided by some spell, before falling from his broom with the Snitch clutched in his mouth. The game ended with Gryffindor winning, 190 points to Slytherin's 140.
After the match, in the Slytherin locker room, the players were in an uproar, but Draco managed to stop them before things escalated further.
"You saw it too, didn’t you, Harry? Someone cursed Longbottom’s broom. There’s no way he could have beaten me otherwise."
"I saw it, but it’s not that interesting," Harry replied casually.
"Ugh... I’m not surprised. By the way, are you staying at Hogwarts for Christmas?" Draco asked.
"Yeah, there’s no point in going back to the orphanage," Harry replied.
"In that case, I’ll send both of you a Christmas gift," Draco said, smiling.
The conversation continued comfortably in Harry and Rose's room, which was far more pleasant than the Slytherin common room or the Great Hall. Although the topic was not exactly lighthearted, Draco still picked up some cookies served by the Hogwarts house-elves.
When Christmas was mentioned, Harry suddenly seemed to have an idea. He silently cast the "Creation" spell and conjured up a Lapel Pin—an elegant silver snake-shaped pin designed by him—on his hand. He then grabbed his wand and cast several protective spells on it, including Protego horribilis, Protego Maxima, and Fianto Duri.
Protego horribilis – The most powerful shield charm, protecting against all curses and dark magic, except the Killing Curse (Avada Kedavra).
Protego Maxima – A shield charm so powerful that those outside the protection cannot see or hear anything. It is nearly impossible to break.
Fianto Duri – A spell that strengthens and extends the duration of protective charms.
"Here, Draco, consider this an early Christmas gift," Harry said, handing him the pin.
"Thanks, I guess. You’ll have to wait for yours," Draco replied, putting on his usual deadpan expression.
Draco took the pin and attached it to his robes with surprising speed. Rose also had a gift for Draco. She handed him a large bottle of healing potion and a hair care elixir to keep his hair shiny. The look of confusion on Draco’s face was so amusing to the two siblings that they couldn’t help but laugh.
.
Time passed quickly, and Christmas Day arrived at Hogwarts. Students who wished to return home for the holiday were allowed to do so, while those who chose to stay at the school were also welcome. And of course, Harry and Rose stayed behind after seeing Draco off on the train.
They walked hand-in-hand through the corridors, which were covered in soft white snow and gentle snowflakes falling around them. Each step they took left behind traces of their past, soon to be buried by the snow. Despite the cold and biting chill outside, the warmth they felt from holding hands was like the gentle warmth of spring. Without needing to say a word, they walked side by side, close together.
Sometimes time moves faster than expected. The white sky was replaced by the dark sky of night. Harry and Rose sat curled up under a blanket on the bed. Suddenly, Harry noticed something strange in the room. Beside the bed, there was a package with a piece of old folded paper inside. As Harry reached to grab the letter and read it, Rose, awakened by his movement, sleepily glanced at the package and picked it up to open it.
[Return to the rightful owner complete.]
As Harry opened the paper, magical letters appeared in the air along with strange symbols—a triangle, a circle, and a straight line in the center. The letters burned up and disappeared, leaving no trace of the paper ever having existed.
Meanwhile, Rose had unwrapped something and found five items: a cloak, a black stone, a wand, and two rings. As soon as she saw them, she nudged Harry, who had just finished reading the magical letters, to look. It was as though some mysterious force drew them in. They reached for the black stone, and as their fingers touched it, small cuts appeared on their fingertips, causing a few drops of blood to fall onto the stone. It then moved, as if alive, toward the cloak, the wand, and the two rings.
A sharp pain suddenly appeared on the backs of their hands, and a strange mark appeared. The two rings floated toward Harry’s right hand—one fitting onto his index finger and the other on his middle finger. The ring on his index finger was engraved with the shape of a branch from the world tree, and the one on his middle finger bore the same strange symbol as the one in the magical letters.
“…What the hell just happened?”
In the quiet room on Christmas night, Harry muttered his first curse, bewildered. He didn’t understand what was going on. Who were these rightful owners? What was the meaning of the strange symbols? And most importantly, what were the two rings and the mark on the back of his hand?
Looking over at Rose, who seemed just as confused by the events, Harry tried to clear the items from the bed. But when he thought about wanting them to disappear, they did. When he wished for them to reappear, they did so. Harry stared in confusion before dismissing the thought for now, deciding that the most important thing was to get Rose to sleep without worrying about what else might happen that night.
Time passed, and the next day arrived. After waking up, Harry and Rose sat at the tea table in their room to discuss what had happened the previous night. They ate the food that the house-elf had brought them from Hogwarts. Eventually, as they were eating, Rose suggested they go to the library to look for books about family histories and symbols.
The marks on their hands and the two rings had disappeared from sight. Harry had tried various things with the rings and the symbol on his hand, eventually realizing that he could make them appear or disappear at will. As they made their way to the library, the students still remaining at Hogwarts whispered about the events of the previous night.
The Boy Who Lived and the red-haired sidekick were caught sneaking into the Forbidden Section of the library by Professor Snape and Professor Krelwell. Their punishment was to be confined to the castle for the rest of the term, and Gryffindor lost 50 points. They were beginning to lose faith in Neville Longbottom, as no one had ever been so hopeless at every subject except Herbology. If not for the help of a certain Gryffindor girl in their group, they probably wouldn’t have earned their place in the Golden Trio and might have been expelled for failing their classes.
The story of the Boy Who Lived didn’t concern them, so they paid it no mind. Rose reached up to grab a book from the top shelf of the library, sitting on Harry’s shoulders. If they wanted, they could have used magic to levitate the book, but they respected Madam Pince, one of the few people they actually respected besides Madam Pomfrey. She had warned them about using magic in the library, so they refrained.
Although the first few books they read were unhelpful, they eventually discovered something important about the symbols they bore. The symbol shaped like a branch from the World Tree was the emblem of the Potter family, once part of an ancient, sacred family but removed from the lineage long ago, possibly by Harry’s parents. Harry’s father, James Potter, the last remaining heir of the Potter family, had married Lily J. Evans, a Muggle-born, causing them to be removed from the sacred family tree. Harry didn’t understand why it mattered. After all, family systems that devour each other would eventually crumble anyway.
The other symbol they found was even more shocking. It belonged to one of the oldest and most powerful wizarding families—an ancient family that had been the root of many others, including the Gaunts, Slytherins, Riddles, Blacks, Lestranges, Potters, and more. This family, known as the Peverells (or the "Deathly Hallows" family, from the tale of the Three Brothers by Beedle the Bard), was considered the progenitor of many great wizarding families but had no direct heirs for centuries because no one could prove worthy of carrying on the bloodline.
The three items they had received—the cloak, the wand, and the stone—were the fabled Deathly Hallows. According to legend, if the three Hallows were united, their possessor would gain the power over death itself. But Harry didn’t believe it would grant true power. After all, the Hallows were created by Death itself. Who could give up their own power to give someone else more? Still, the three items were undeniably powerful.
The Invisibility Cloak, or the Cloak of Death, granted the wearer the ability to become invisible to others, including magic. However, no one had ever been able to fully unlock its potential, so previous users could only use it as a regular invisibility cloak.
The Elder Wand, made from elder wood grown along the River of Death and with a Thestral core, was accepted as the most powerful wand in the world. Like the Invisibility Cloak, its full power had never been realized by anyone except the Peverell brothers.
Lastly, the Resurrection Stone, taken from the river by Death, was filled with the power of death itself. It could bring back souls from the afterlife, though the spirits who returned would be tormented, as they had already passed on to the next world.
Once they had gathered all the information they needed, they lost interest in the Hallows and returned their focus to studying the remaining books for their seventh-year curriculum. They had already read every book from the first to sixth years, so only the books from the seventh year, which mostly dealt with adult-level magic and spells, remained. They read quietly in a corner of the library, under the peaceful silence that would soon be broken, and they would soon release the magical powers they had kept contained.
.
As the snow melted away, revealing the bright green plants beneath, just a few days after classes resumed, a strange rumor began circulating about the trio—Harry, Rose, and Draco. They were being called the "Serpent Trio" because, no matter what, except for when Draco was off performing his duties as Head of First Year, the three were always seen together. Even though Harry and Rose had cast diversion spells to avoid being noticed, they were still spotted together. This was partly due to Draco’s reputation, which, despite his connection to Slytherin, had been acknowledged by other houses—except Gryffindor—as an example of a nobleman. As a result, Harry and Rose were often swept into the rumor mill. Nevertheless, it became a source of motivation for them, and they started to experiment with creating new spells. The existing ones in the wizarding books couldn't meet their needs or were too weak.
As for the Golden Trio—Neville and Hermione—they didn’t care much about the rumors and were even somewhat thankful as it made their secret activities easier. However, the red-headed sidekick, Ron, didn’t like the rumors at all. He was so upset that he lashed out with crude language, making him almost the official troublemaker of Gryffindor House. His outbursts led to the loss of a record number of points for their house.
After an unsatisfying dinner, which was made worse by the fact that the rumors had caught the attention of some professors, Draco discreetly warned them to stick together, causing their time together to be reduced. Unfortunately, the situation worsened when a surprise student inspection was carried out, which led to the inability to use summoning spells or invisibility charms.
However, Harry quickly solved the problem by linking his and Rose's rooms together using a dimensional magic device created through Transfiguration. The rooms, now merged as one, seemed to be tacitly accepted by Hogwarts itself. After Harry inherited the family ring, he became the head of the Potter-Peverell family, and Hogwarts, seemingly recognizing this, allowed him to treat it as one of the assets passed down through the Slytherin family, a branch of the Peverell line. This made it possible for him to merge the rooms with ease. He then altered the device to bypass dimensional resistance, turning it into a protective tool instead, as he had the right to use dimensional magic within Hogwarts—a privilege even the Headmaster did not possess.
.
While they were lying on the bed in each other's arms, filled with love, they suddenly heard a tapping sound on the window. It was a Norwegian Ridgeback dragon, still young, having just hatched recently.
"[Mommy!]"
Hearing the dragon's cry and understanding it, Harry and Rose got up from the bed and opened the window to let the little dragon inside.
"[What does Mommy mean?]"
"[Mommy means Mommy, Daddy!]"
Though they didn’t understand how they could understand and speak the dragon’s language, Harry decided to ask the little dragon in Rose's arms. Rose, who also understood the dragon’s language, heard the little one speak and gave Harry a pleading look.
“Please, can I keep her, please?” Rose asked.
“Of course, my little black rose,” Harry replied.
Even without the need to plead, Harry was already prepared to do anything for Rose. Adopting the dragon (even if it was a bit against the rules) wouldn’t be a problem for him. He planned to create a magical device that would let them take the dragon anywhere they went.
“First, what should we name her? From what I can tell, she’s a girl,” Rose asked.
"[…Trivia, how about that? It's the name of a goddess in Greek mythology. Another name is Hecate, the goddess of magic, witches, talismans, and spirits.]"
Once the little dragon, Trivia, was given her name, she wagged her tail happily, clearly pleased with her powerful-sounding name. When Harry asked about Trivia’s origins, she told them what had happened. After hatching from her egg, she had seen a giant trying to capture her and three small humans. At first, they didn’t harm her, but after she burned the giant’s beard and ate the eggshells, the humans fled. Not long after, a white-haired human came, trapped her in a cage, and intended to take her away. She managed to break the cage and flew here, feeling that her parents were nearby.
Listening to her, Harry and Rose pulled out wands from Ollivanders' shop. As Rose's eyes turned pink and Harry’s eyes began to glow, they saw that the wand’s magic aura connected them—Harry, Rose, and Trivia. They could immediately tell where the dragon’s heartstring core came from. Even though they weren’t the same species, they could feel the love from the wand. They exchanged a look, understanding that they would love Trivia like their own child, no matter what. Trivia looked at them, confused, as they gazed at each other.
Harry then took Rose and Trivia to bed, with Trivia nestled between them. However, just as they were about to fall asleep, Trivia suddenly woke up, frightened.
"[Daddy! Mommy! Help! Someone's hurting a unicorn!]"
As if some switch had been flipped, Harry and Rose used magic to quickly gear up for battle. But Harry immediately used a conjuring spell to create a magical item to keep Trivia safe. Using his knowledge of ancient runes and alchemy, he created a silver bracelet with a dark green gem at its center. He added magical properties to it for extensive protection. Rose requested to wear the bracelet, and Trivia entered the gem. Through the gem, Trivia could still communicate telepathically and hear and see everything outside.
Once they were ready, they used the vanishing spell (Evanesco) to teleport to the edge of the Forbidden Forest. Then, they used an invisibility spell and stealthily made their way along the path, with Trivia guiding them through the gem. It didn’t take long before they found their target: a wizard in a black cloak, using his wand to cast spells at a giant unicorn. In the background, they saw other unicorns fleeing.
"(Shadowless Arrow)"
"(Frost Stomp)"
In an instant, Rose cast her signature spell, summoning dozens of invisible swords that swirled around her before launching at the target. Meanwhile, Harry used a spell he had created with Rose during Christmas, ‘Frost Stomp.’ Channeling magical power into his legs, he stomped on the ground, releasing a surge of magic that made the ground icy cold, creating ice spikes that shot toward the figure in the black cloak alongside the shadowless arrows.
As if instinctively sensing the danger, the wizard barely managed to dodge by turning into a cloud of smoke and fleeing into the forest. However, he was badly injured. Rose’s Shadowless Arrows had severed one of his arms and pierced multiple parts of his body, with one arrow even hitting his right eye. Meanwhile, Harry’s Frost Stomp had pierced both of his feet before freezing them as he tried to escape. He was forced to cut off his own feet to escape, leaving behind one foot still frozen in place with an ice spike embedded in it.
The battle, though not much of a fight, ended when the unicorn they had been protecting collapsed. They immediately reversed the effects of their spells and hurried to help. Harry used advanced healing potions given to him by Draco as Christmas gifts to treat the unicorn. After feeding the unicorn some potion and applying it to its wounds to remove poison, Rose called Trivia out of the bracelet to care for the unicorn. She then pointed her wand at the unicorn’s injuries, casting spells to cleanse the poison and remove curses.
"Thank you both so much," a soft and warm voice echoed through Harry and Rose’s room. It was the voice of the unicorn they had healed, now fully recovered. Unbeknownst to them, they had been surrounded by unicorns that had fled earlier. They had returned after learning the first unicorn was safe. Most of them sat by Rose, while a few young unicorns approached and lay next to Harry.
"If it weren’t for you two, I would not have survived," the unicorn continued.
"It was because of Trivia, our daughter, who guided us here. If you want to thank anyone, thank her," Harry said.
"On behalf of my kind, I thank you, Trivia, and both of you. Though we are different species, I can feel the love you have for her. It is genuine," the leader of the unicorns said.
Upon hearing the praise, Harry and Rose looked at each other, and they noticed that the area around them was now filled with various creatures—rabbits, squirrels, birds, owls, snakes, and even centaurs, standing nearby.
"What a pity it seems you must leave now, but first, we must repay the favor," the unicorn leader said.
The leader and the other unicorns, including the young ones, bowed to Harry and Rose. Then, nature seemed to come alive around them—plants, flowers, grasses, and trees swayed as the winds encircled them. It felt as though their hearts had received a pure blessing from the unicorns.
However, before they could leave, a new disturbance appeared. The sound of a half-giant’s voice and a dog’s bark were heard, followed by four Hogwarts students. They bowed to the unicorns before using the vanishing spell (Evanesco) to return to their rooms to clean up and rest with their little one.
.
The next day was another ordinary day for them and their child. They still hadn’t told Draco about Trivia because they were planning to do so during the holidays. But what disrupted their mood was the murmuring about honor and the inevitable discussion of the Basilisk, which was bound to be their problem. Draco, trying to calm Rose down, noticed that the hand not holding Harry's was clutching her wand. Her eyes had turned a dull pink, devoid of their usual sparkle, and anyone who saw her could tell she was ready to kill someone.
But luck was on their side, as Professor Snape walked over to them, which made Rose stop in her tracks. However, she couldn’t help but mutter a small, unlucky curse under her breath as they walked away, not paying attention to them. Draco couldn't help but complain about Rose’s behavior toward anyone who insulted or threatened Harry. If anyone had the audacity to harm Harry, Draco couldn't help but think of it with a horrified expression on his face.
"Your sister, she's like a dragon guarding its eggs," Draco remarked.
"You’re not wrong, Draco, but in a different sense," Harry replied.
"Huh?"
"[Is she talking about me, Mommy?]"
"[Yes, dear. Because you're our precious child, that's why.]"
Draco's bewildered and confused face made them all burst into laughter. Meanwhile, Rose, who was speaking lovingly to Trivia, looked at Harry with a sweet, adoring smile, like a flower in full bloom.
Later that night, as the family slept peacefully, Harry’s instincts woke him up. He wasn’t the only one who had stirred—Rose, who had been resting in his arms, also awoke. Before she could say anything, Harry pressed his lips to hers for several minutes, until they pulled apart, leaving a thin, sparkling bridge of connection between them. With just a glance, they understood each other completely.
Although Rose wanted to go with him, she agreed to stay in the room to look after Trivia. As for Harry, he used a Disillusionment Charm combined with his authority as the owner of Hogwarts to restrict access to the area within the castle, making it impossible for anyone to enter or leave the targeted room.
In the secret room, Harry found Neville unconscious in front of a shattered mirror. He also saw Professor Quirrell, who was rapidly regenerating, his severed arm from Rose’s “Shadowless Arrow” and his feet from Harry’s “Frost Stomp” slowly growing back. In one of his remaining hands, Quirrell was holding a red stone that emitted a strange aura in Harry's eyes.
“(Frost Stomp)”
Harry’s greeting shot out from the area where his foot had stomped, rushing directly toward Professor Quirrell. If the professor couldn't dodge the second curse, he’d have to be considered no wizard at all. Quirrell’s face, hidden behind his head, warned of imminent danger, narrowly dodging the curse at the last moment.
"I remember you! You're the one who cursed me in the Forbidden Forest!" Harry snapped.
“(Descendo)”
There was no verbal response from Harry, except for the spell he cast. Harry’s wand, the one from the Potter family vault, was used for the first time in a battle after being untouched for so long. Professor Quirrell (?) seemed to be pressed down to the floor, even though he attempted to cast counter-spells or even attempts to break the spell—nothing could stop Harry's magic. Yet, Quirrell’s injuries began healing themselves continuously.
“(Avad-)”
Professor Quirrell (?) tried to cast the Killing Curse by pointing his wand at Harry, but before the green light could take form, Harry immediately cast a series of counter-spells:
“(Levioso)”
“(Descendo)”
“(Levioso)”
“(Descendo)”
“(Levioso)”
“(Desce…)”
The repeated sounds of the "Levioso" charm, which made objects levitate, and the "Descendo" spell, which slammed them back to the ground, echoed throughout the secret room. The curses from Harry’s single hand created a symphony of chaos as Quirrell's body slammed into the floor over and over again. The sounds became sickening and unbearable, and the body, once human, was reduced to a bloody mess and a pile of flesh. Yet, not a single speck of dust touched Harry.
If an enemy could heal themselves, it was enough to injure them beyond repair. Harry walked over to pick up the red stone, which had fallen into the blood pool. Using a cleaning charm, he tidied it up before moving to leave. But just as he turned to leave, a dark spirit floated from Quirrell’s (?) body and rushed toward him.
“[(Repel)]”
Without thinking, Harry cast a spell in Dragon Tongue, and as he did, something strange happened—nothing came out of his wand, but a small hole opened up beneath his feet, created by the skeletal hands of skeletons trying to grab the dark spirit. Several skeletons began crawling up, trying to reach the dark spirit. At that moment, Harry knew what to do. His right fist landed a powerful punch into the dark spirit.
In an instant, the spirit stopped, and one of the skeletons grabbed it and dragged it down into the hole, before everything disappeared, leaving only the haunting screams of the remaining spirit.
When everything had settled, Harry returned to his room with an Evanesco spell, leaving only the remnants of a brutal and violent murder. And, of course… the unconscious body of Neville lying at the foot of the stairs, his body covered in the blood of Professor Quirrell (?).
.
The next day, rumors spread throughout the school that the Boy Who Lived had ventured into the forbidden Third Floor corridor and defeated the Dark Arts wizard. However, this victory came at a cost, as Harry ended up unconscious in the hospital wing. After waking up, Harry openly shared everything with Rose—what he did, what spells he cast, and how he killed Professor Quirrell(?). All he received from her was concern and love. When he looked at her, he decided to give her his first kiss of the day, with Trivia watching them both in confusion.
A few days later, it was the final day before the holidays, and they were having dinner in the Great Hall. They had to prepare their luggage and tidy up their rooms for the train ride the next morning. The meal passed, and at last, it was time for the long-awaited announcement of the House Cup... except for a few notable exceptions.
“Another year has passed, and now it’s time to award the House Cup!” the Headmaster announced.
"Fourth place, Gryffindor, with 32 points."
"Third place, Hufflepuff, with 422 points."
"Second place, Ravenclaw, with 426 points."
“And in first place, Slytherin, with 432 points.”
The sound of cheers erupted from the Slytherin table, along with applause from Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw, who congratulated them. However, before they could celebrate too much, the Headmaster did something so embarrassing that it would later be etched into Hogwarts history...
"Yes! Yes! Well done! Slytherin is excellent, but..."
"There was an incident recently that needs to be taken into account, and I have the final scores to add."
From there, the Headmaster's scoring corruption began. He handed out large numbers of points to Gryffindor, including 50 points for the red-haired boy's simple chess move and 80 points for Neville’s bravery (or more accurately, his willingness to die). These points were equivalent to defeating a mountain troll. And so, the House Cup was concluded unfairly, as the Headmaster wanted to show off the Boy Who Lived.
Gryffindor, who suddenly found themselves winners without realizing it, celebrated, thinking they had triumphed over the other three Houses. From the start, Harry and Rose could tell that something was off with the food they had eaten. They suspected that there was some kind of potion mixed in, and with the Headmaster's antics, they didn’t need to investigate further to know the culprit. Quietly, they cast a spell to neutralize the poison in the food and the toxins affecting both the teachers and students, all without the Headmaster noticing.
What the Headmaster had hoped for was that Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, and Ravenclaw would celebrate their victory over Slytherin, while Slytherin would be left disheartened. However, the results turned out to be the opposite of what he expected. The other three Houses looked at him and Gryffindor with suspicion and annoyance, and the professors at the staff table were no different.
This final day of the term would become an infamous legend at Hogwarts that could never be erased—one about the Headmaster cheating to win the House Cup. Although the ceremony ended smoothly, without any open protests, that very night, a large number of owls were sent from Hogwarts. Someone quietly raised concerns about the odd feeling in the food, and many theories were quickly formed. And that person was none other than Draco Malfoy himself. Later that night, an urgent meeting was called, the first in many years, which ended with the reluctant agreement of the staff, swayed by the Headmaster’s smooth words.
The next day, as the students boarded the train back to Hogwarts, the topic was still on everyone’s lips. Most students tried to avoid Gryffindor, but there were those who believed the injustice was justified. The sixth Weasley child, the red-haired boy, proudly proclaimed himself a hero alongside Neville, not caring about the consequences.
At Platform 9¾, the Hogwarts Express came to a complete stop, and students disembarked. Their parents were there to pick them up, most of them worried about the letters they had received, but the matter didn’t seem to be of real importance, since it was only about the House Cup, which had nothing to do with them directly. But when everything seemed to be calm, there was always someone who would make others uncomfortable. The red-haired boy, even after disembarking, continued
As for Harry and Rose, they disembarked with Draco and spoke briefly with Draco’s parents, Lucius and Narcissa Malfoy. They greeted each other politely, and as they parted ways, Narcissa couldn’t help but compliment them on their manners. Lucius, on the other hand, glanced between them and Draco, his expression confused.
Harry and Rose then took the Knight Bus to Diagon Alley, opting for the second floor, which was less crowded. While they could have gone straight to their destination, they enjoyed the atmosphere and the small moments of happiness along the way. They let Trivia try hot chocolate for the first time by secretly taking her out of her bracelet. The image of their little daughter and loved one drinking hot chocolate with foam on their lips, looking like little milk mustaches, against the backdrop of a bridge crossing over a river, made Harry smile with contentment. He couldn’t help but join in, sharing the hot chocolate with them.
