Chapter Text
On an ordinary day when nothing was supposed to happen, dimensional portals suddenly appeared simultaneously across the globe. Whether on I-Island in the Chill family’s laboratory, at UA High School, at a villain hideout, or many other places worldwide, before anyone had time to react, spectral pixel points of indescribable colors—colors beyond human comprehension—appeared before them.
Before anyone could even think to respond or fight back, these colors consumed them, erasing them from existence in an instant. In that brief moment, their perceptions shifted, and they found themselves in an entirely different world. The scene before them showed the bewildered faces of several familiar people. As they looked around, they realized they were seated in an ancient Greek Roman-style theater.
Though it appeared to be daylight, the sky above was a deep black, dotted with countless stars of indescribable hues. Yet before anyone could ask or even scream, it felt as if their voices had been stolen.
“Welcome, everyone, to this theater.”
All eyes turned to the source of the voice on the stage. It was a form, a conglomerate of colorful spectra, indescribable and beyond human understanding. Its very presence defied everything they knew. They could not even fathom what language it spoke, yet somehow, they understood its meaning.
But as they gazed upon it, something strange happened. Within seconds, it felt as if their very souls were being gnawed at or sucked away by an unseen force. They suddenly realized that whatever was on that stage was not human, not a living being in any sense they could grasp, nor anything familiar in even the slightest degree. There was only one word they could piece together from their fragmented knowledge: ‘God.’
“I apologize for the oversight,” the being spoke again, “I forgot that you cannot look upon my form for long. And no, I am not the god you think I am. I am simply the caretaker of this theater.”
Slowly, the entity on stage began to condense, forming a humanoid figure dressed in an elegant black suit. However, its face remained a swirling mass of colorful spectral substance, unrecognizable as any human or living creature. It spoke with a voice that defied categorization—neither male nor female, yet calm and clear.
“You may call me ‘Chromiant.’ As I have said, I am the caretaker of this theater. My duty is to present the endless worlds before you, with the central focus being the individual known as Midoriya Izuku.”
“The rules of this theater are as follows:
1. The Lord is the one with the highest authority.
2. Please follow my instructions, as you are guests and I am the caretaker.
3. You are not allowed to die here unless it is the will of The Lord.
4. If you desire something, tell me, and I shall provide it.
5. If you question The Lord, please refer back to Rule 1.
Now then, do you have any questions?”
As if their voices had returned, they suddenly realized they could speak again. Yet, no one dared to utter a sound. In that moment, an animal—Nezu, the mouse-like creature—raised his hand to ask, standing among countless others who were watching him.
“Why is Midoriya Izuku the center of all this?” Nezu asked, his voice echoing across the theater. “And what do you gain from this?”
“Because Midoriya Izuku represents the infinite possibilities of existence—whether virtuous or vile, magnificent or monstrous.” Chromiant replied, its tone calm. “I do not gain anything from this. This is simply the will of the One, who seeks only to find amusement in your presence.”
“L-So, when you say ‘vile,’ you mean me...?” Izuku raised his hand hesitantly, clutching a small Erin, trying to calm his own fear even as he spoke.
“Just as you think, Izuku. You represent both the embodiment of life, embracing all with love, and the agent of its inevitable end, accepting death equally for all. As seen in certain worlds created by some gods, you are the one who brings light to all living things.”
Chromiant answered, its hand sweeping across the stage, revealing an image of Izuku in his adult form, dressed in his green hero suit adorned with arm bindings and yellow markings that glowed with shimmering lines with each of his movements. Above his head hovered a golden halo, radiating a divine light that reflected his sacred status.
His towering form was enveloped in a golden light, as if the sun itself had risen from him, each of his movements exuding unwavering strength and boundless power. The determination in his gaze reflected a resolve that could not be broken.
Behind him, a vast sea of people marched endlessly, their lives brimming with hope and faith in this leader. Every action of Izuku would shape their future, guiding them through the struggles of an age marked by despair. He was not only a leader but a beacon of hope that could never be extinguished.
The atmosphere around him was thick with an overwhelming sense of grandeur and sanctity, as if the very universe had conspired to center its existence around him. The sky, vibrant with indescribable light, seemed to bend with the energy between him and the people following him. It felt as though everyone present—whether physically there or watching from afar—stood at the heart of the cosmos, where all things were governed by his will.
“Or perhaps, in another world, where you might have wiped out humanity entirely…”
This time, the stage changed to depict a horrifying scene of thousands of human corpses scattered across the ground. Every face—of those who once lived—reflected the terror and despair they had endured before their final breath was taken. Atop a towering skyscraper, Izuku sat comfortably, clad in a pristine white lab coat resembling a suit, sipping tea and admiring the view as though nothing significant had transpired in this world.
Amid the sea of corpses, spectral beings with humanoid forms but pale, ghastly skin and eyes black as pitch moved among the dead. These creatures, devoid of any apparent purpose, extended their fingers to the corpses' heads, dipping into the pooling blood and letting their instincts guide them.
Moments later, the bodies began to twitch. In a world dominated by death, what unfolded defied understanding. Regardless of whether only fragments of flesh or a severed head remained, the corpses started to reconstruct themselves, returning to life in grotesquely altered forms.
“…Newtypes?” Izuku whispered to himself, his voice faint yet audible to everyone.
“Papa, what’s a Newtype?” Eri asked curiously, her innocent eyes wide with wonder. Though she couldn’t see what Izuku did, past memories gave her a hint of understanding.
Izuku flinched slightly at his daughter’s question, her gaze full of pure innocence. After a moment, he sighed, smiled softly, and replied. Izuku turned to look at Chromiant on the stage. Chromiant, who stood there silently, merely adjusted his hat, tipping it slightly as if signaling that Izuku had permission to speak. Izuku took a deep breath, and as he began to explain, his tone started to shift…
“Newtypes… are something Papa dreamed up. Imagine this—humans who don’t need food, water, or air to survive. Humans evolved to adapt to any environment, without limitation. Bodies that heal themselves completely, no matter the damage! And imagine… true immortality!”
His tone rose with excitement, as if revealing a mad scientist’s deepest passion. His warm, genuine smile twisted into a wide, maniacal grin, his sparkling eyes reflecting unrestrained obsession.
“Just think! A body fully under its own control—no weakness, no fear of loss!”
Eri stared at him, her eyes widening. This wasn’t the Izuku she usually knew, but rather, someone driven by a relentless pursuit of ideas. Yet, despite her confusion, she found herself intrigued.
“Papa… that sounds… really cool!”
Izuku paused before bursting into laughter, his grin softening. He gently patted her head and said, “Thanks, Eri. At least someone doesn’t think Papa is completely crazy.”
The rest of the audience, however, felt chills run down their spines, seeing their symbol of hope briefly become an enigma of madness. Yet, amidst the unease, some looked on with admiration, seeing a deeper truth to who he was.
Chromiant returned to the stage and announced, “If there are no further questions, let us begin the first act. During the performance, simply think of any food or drink, and it shall appear before you. Now, enjoy the show.”
