Virtual Indoctrination

Summary:

Yanagi has almost overcome the hacker trying to keep her and the rest of Section 6 in virtual reality. But before she can finish the job, an unexpected actor takes control of the program by force. And while she may not be aiming to kill, her methods could be too unexpected for Yanagi to handle.

Work Text:

Things were looking dire for H.A.N.D’s elite group, Section 6. A simple test of the HIA’s new VR system had been hijacked by someone with a bone to pick with the famed Hollow investigators. The nefarious hacker was quickly gathering data on each member in order to execute complete control over their virtual selves. And unfortunately, he’d succeeded with three fourths of the members. Harumasa, Soukaku and Miyabi had all been turned into Bangboo to neutralize their threats. Only the Deputy Chief Tsukishiro Yanagi remained untransformed, but little data was needed before she too would fall victim to the hacker. Worse yet, she had been forced to log in without access to the system’s safety mode, meaning there was the potential for her to feel real pain.

“You don’t think you can take on Miyabi, do you?” taunted the hacker. “And besides, even if you could beat this replica, I can just make more! I can play with your friends’ data as much as I wish!”

“No, you can’t. You still don’t have enough control to bypass this world’s rules,” retaliated Yanagi. “You’re running out of enemy data.”

“Argh! Must you always be so damn smug?! I’m still the god of this world, and-“ the hacker’s rant was cut off by a small, sharp sound. Yanagi was no stranger to violence, but it had been some time since she’d heard anything but the unearthly sounds Ethereals emitted in fights. Whatever just happened was more simple. Squisher. Bloodier. The hacker began choking and sputtering, before his voice vanished. The world around Yanagi stopped, giving her ample time to wonder and worry about what just happened.

“Well, that was close,” said an unknown actor. Whoever was speaking had a calm, collected, and somewhat low feminine voice. And before she said another word, the enemies Yanagi had been facing began to run.

“Oh? And here I thought we weren’t receiving any outside help. Are you a member of the HIA?” Yanagi probed the mysterious voice.

“No,” the woman answered bluntly. “Just a person with an effective information network, and a knife.”

“I see. So that was an act of vigilantism, then?” Yanagi sighed. “You know, I could have finished that fight myself. Denying due process to criminals is a crime too.”

“Yes, I’m well-aware of that. But I also don’t care. You can call this a surprise inspection, of sorts. One that Null_Face failed. His setup was sound, but this petty revenge of his blinded him to more... useful ends to his plan.”

“And I suppose your reasons for defeating us are well-thought out and reasonable?” Yanagi teased.

“Don’t get me wrong. I don’t plan on destroying Sector 6. Only an idiot would want to stamp out a group as strong as yours.”

“Well I’m flattered, but murder is a poor way to start asking for our cooperation, whether that man was our enemy or not.”

“Cooperation? Now there’s a charitable way to put it. Tell me, if I were merely looking to ‘cooperate,’ then why would I drop everything I was doing on such short notice just to dirty my hands?”

“It sounds like you wouldn’t in most cases. You’d only bother if you also needed us to be unconscious.”

“Precisely, Ms. Tsukishiro. It is not your cooperation I need, it is your obedience. Rest assured, Section 6 will wake up from this incident unharmed. It’s not in my interest to damage my assets.”

“You want to force us into subservience? Such a thing seems harder to do than simply letting our brains die. Are you sure you’re up for the challenge, miss…?” Yanagi asked. She could swear she heard the woman scowl.

“Hmph. Are you a fairy or something?” the woman spat. “I know better than to give you too much information, Ms. Tsukishiro. Though honestly, I doubt even you could do much with just the name Sarah.”

“You’re right about that. Tracking you down with just that name would be finding a needle in a haystack, and that’s assuming you didn’t just give me a fake. Still, you being at the helm doesn’t change my plan.” Yanagi boasted before she sprinted after the fleeing simulacrums. They may have had a head start, but Yanagi had every bit of confidence in her ability to outspeed them.

“Are you sure about that? I’ve listened in on enough of your conversations with Null to know your aim here,” Sarah admonished. As Yanagi rounded the corner, she was faced with the sight of a large mech; a Shielded Defender, if she remembered the name correctly. It was different enough from the mech she had been facing down before, though the rules of the game meant it was a replacement and not an addition. Still, though, she recognized it as a foe that wouldn’t buckle so easily from her electric powers.

“So you plan on stalling me,” Yanagi uttered plainly.

“You need to destroy every enemy, and I need to collect the last of your data. And while I may not be a hacker, the tools Null left behind are easy enough to work with. You can try to fight, but you should know this won’t take long.”

“The problem for you is…” Yanagi muttered as she drew her weapon, “you can’t work outside of the program’s parameters. Exchanging one bit of enemy data for another hasn’t given you any more to work with.” Yanagi tore off towards the machine and began striking it at lightning speed. There was only so much the data could do, and it was clear its reaction time wasn’t anything special. The mech struggled to keep up against her assault, and it seemed only a matter of time before she’d emerge victorious. Still, she remained aware that another enemy was still lurking somewhere nearby, ready to ambush her: a clone of Chief Miyabi that Null_Face had created the moment he’d collected all the data on the real thing.

“I think you’ll find I’m a lot more resourceful than that hacker. He had quite a few tools at his disposal, all of which he seems to have ignored in favor of straightforward violence,” Sarah chuckled. The machine shifted panels around its body, constructing a solid shield in front of it. It meant little to Yanagi, of course. In the blink of an eye she was behind it, and she struck it once, twice-

“Guh?!” Yanagi bellowed as her third hit glanced against the shield as the mech turned around. It didn’t sprain her arm to have her strike stopped so abruptly, somehow, but her entire body felt like a tuning fork. She’d fought these robots before, but she’d never wound up vibrating for having hit them incorrectly.

“You’re as brilliant as you are beautiful, Ms. Tsukishiro. I doubt even I could outfox you with a conventional plan. So it’s lucky for me you were forced to log in without safety mode. I may not be able to interact with you without one of these things acting as proxy, but these debug tools can cause some fun reactions with your nervous system.”

“What did you do?” Yanagi panted. It felt like her head was still ringing, but it still wasn’t painful. Hell, it was hardly unpleasant. But as she tried to right herself after the attack, she found her legs buckling instead.

“I modified the feedback you receive from making contact with its shield. Causing you pain could run the risk of increasing your adrenaline, and while that would speed up data acclimation, I see no reason to excite you like that,” explained Sarah. “A nice tingling sensation should serve me far better. As will this!” As Yanagi continued struggling to move, the Defender aimed its flamethrowers towards her.

“No!” Yanagi yelped as a line of flames shot forth. They grazed her skin and she flinched, expecting to feel pain. But Sarah had modified that, too, and the sensation felt more akin to a hairdryer: short bursts of warmth passed by her, far too quickly to be fully satisfying, yet comfortable enough that the air hitting her skin felt downright frigid in the warmth’s absence. However, the sensation did not leave her completely, and the warmth joined the low vibrations as they settled in both her head and her crotch. As the image of the fire faded around her, there wasn’t a single scorch mark on her body. But she had sunk fully to her knees, and the tension in her posture had all vanished. Her facial expression was the only thing suggesting she was still fighting as the rest of her body had been forcibly relaxed.

“See? The HIA’s database doesn’t contain an Ethereal that could overpower your mind or muscle memory. But since you’ve left yourself open to pain, that means you’re open to other sensations as well. And I think a little pleasure should do wonders to pacify you.”

“I’m afraid… that won’t be enough. If you can’t damage me, then I can still fight,” Yanagi argued unconvincingly. The only thing that could stop her from focusing on the warm tingling in her brain was the warm tingling at her clit. She tried to think of Harumasa, and spacing out, and Soukaku, and letting her tongue loll from her mouth, and Miyabi, and just plunging her fingers into her needy pussy, and-

“Well? Didn’t you say you could fight?” Sarah asked suddenly. Yanagi blinked, unaware of how much time she had spent kneeling in place. “If you can’t continue, I’d be fine if you wrapped yourself up for me,” Sarah taunted with a sultriness to her voice that only made the tingling worse.

“This is just a bit of brain fog. Nothing I can’t handle,” Yanagi stammered.

“That’s fine too. I’d be disappointed if my best asset didn’t have any fight in her. So please, do your best to resist this,” Sarah teased, ushering in the Miyabi clone. The clone itself was something of a living silhouette, though its physical features were distinct enough to make it obvious who it was imitating. That made it all the more flustering that the fake Miyabi was suddenly completely naked. Yanagi gasped as she was confronted by Miyabi’s fairly sizable breasts which, while Yanagi had never seen them so exposed, seemed accurate enough from all the times she had caught glances and was certainly not committing them to memory.

“Y-you have some nerve stripping the Chief down,” Yanagi stammered, her deep blush betraying her attempts to fuss on her friend’s behalf.

“I’m not the one who made this thing,” Sarah said dismissively. “If it makes you feel any better, this is the only one of your companions with a nude model. Although I doubt Mr. Null would throw away the opportunity to bare you before he offed Section 6.”

“What’s your aim here?” Yanagi asked with a faux-confidence that was undermined by her frantic attempts not to stare directly at Miyabi’s breasts. “I’m assuming Null_Face was going to use this to humiliate us, but how does stripping the Chief and sending her in without a sword help you?”

“Given how this program works, she has to be somewhere. But without safety mode on, it’s actually far more advantageous not to hide her away from sight. No, I want her directly in front of you, Ms. Tsukishiro. Take in the sight,” Sarah ordered softly. Yanagi did everything she could to defy the command, but her legs still felt like jelly, and once the Miyabi clone had closed the distance between them there was no way to avoid looking at some part of the silhouette. Up so close, it was hard for Yanagi to avoid thinking about how naked its legs were. Although they were an inky shade, the detail was clear. They looked both muscular and soft, and their contour drew the eye perfectly to the hips. From there it was hard not to notice its toned stomach, and after that its breasts that sagged slightly due to their size.

“I won’t… do what you say,” lied Yanagi. Despite her best effort to avoid looking at it, the Miyabi clone was too close not to notice. Worse off, Yanagi’s eyes wandered up and down its figure, which only worsened the warm tingling feeling.

“Suuure you won’t,” Sarah cooed. “We’re close now. Just a little more data left. And I think I know just the thing to get those neurons firing.” The Miyabi clone cupped Yanagi’s chin and stared her down with emotionless eyes.

“D-don’t you need battle data?” Yanagi asked fearfully.

“Hm. That is what a VR space like this would have been built for, but no. I’ve watched this climb all the way to 90% since I started teasing you,” Sarah explained. Yanagi gazed back at the facsimile of her superior and friend, and her heart skipped a beat. The fingers around her chin inched up and pressed against her cheeks, forcing her mouth open just slightly. “Ah, and there’s 91%” taunted Sarah. The fake Miyabi used its free hand to grab its breast and bring it swiftly towards Yanagi’s mouth. “92… 93…” Yanagi couldn’t reject the nipple passing her lips. “94… 95…” For such a lifeless-looking construct, the Miyabi clone felt warm. It was emotionless, robotic, and yet the breast at Yanagi’s mouth felt as comforting a real person’s. A cautious tongue glanced across its skin and was rewarded with a sensation that was unexpectedly silky. “96… 97…” Yanagi’s hesitation melted, and she fervently swirled her tongue around the doppelgänger’s areola. With no more need to keep Yanagi’s head in place, the fake Miyabi swept her legs off the ground, gently to make sure she could suckle uninterrupted. “98… 99…” Yanagi barely registered Sarah’s counting as she lost herself in bliss. One of Miyabi’s hands was curled underneath her knees and the other braced against her back, but if there was any thought left in her head it was a wish that those hands could be anywhere else. Tits, ass, pussy, it didn’t matter, she just wanted more.

“Aaaaand, data collection complete,” Sarah growled triumphantly. Panic flashed through Yanagi, though that didn’t stop her from suckling. “It seems the program wants to turn you into a Bangboo, and believe me I’d love to see that. But the HIA will get suspicious if you’re gone for too much longer, so let’s be efficient with this.” In a second, everything vanished around Yanagi, and she was left dazed. The world had become a blinding white, but more disconcerting was the lack of a warm body to wrap herself around. But before one setting could set in, Yanagi found herself in another. First, she could feel her legs submerged in pleasantly warm water. Then she realized she was enveloped in steam. Only when her brain finally caught up to her eyes did she realize she was in a bath house.

“Where…?” Yanagi muttered weakly.

“You are where I say you are,” stated Sarah. “I may not be able to change the program’s map data, but now that I have full control over your profile, I can simply relocate your brain. You were in Lumina Square before, so I simply shifted you to a bath house within the city.”

“I…” Yanagi started, but thoughts couldn’t form in her head. She had the vague feeling that she needed to protest, but the taste of the Miyabi clone’s breast did well to stifle any resistance she could muster.

“Now, now, don’t bother trying to think,” ordered Sarah. As she spoke, two figures formed in the center of the bath. One was Miyabi. The real Miyabi. She was as naked as her imposter, but at least it was easier to see the blank expression etched into her face. As soon as she appeared completely, Miyabi paced straight towards the edge of the bath. The other figure was one unfamiliar to Yanagi, but the cold beauty on display practically screamed ‘Sarah.’ The woman’s brown hair was braided on one side, while the other was draped over one of her green eyes. Her glare was icy, her smile was haughty. “We’ll need your brain to rest for a few more minutes while I make some changes,” the avatar spoke, indeed with Sarah’s voice. “Don’t worry, this won’t take long. There are just a few key points that need changing.”

“I’m ready, Mistress,” Miyabi said monotonously as she stepped out of the bath and knelt behind Yanagi.

“Good. You may begin,” commanded Sarah. Miyabi nodded slowly, then she began groping Yanagi from where she was crouched. Yanagi gasped in surprise at how deft the Chief was in her trance. Her grip was firm, but the thumbs at Yanagi’s nipples massaged their targets delicately.

“C-chief… snap out of it…” Yanagi moaned.

“That won’t be happening, I’m afraid. Your team has been reverted from their Bangboo forms, but their minds are still mine to control in this world,” Sarah boasted.

“P-please, stop this,” Yanagi pleaded between pleasured breaths.

“It’s too late for that, Ms. Tsukishiro. The members of Section 6 became my assets the moment that idiot hacker hit the floor. And now all that’s left is to claim my prize!” Sarah declared as she stood before Yanagi. “Don’t get too used to this treatment. Once you’re mine, this will be your job,” Sarah growled as she lowered herself, submerging most of her body until her head was at level with Yanagi’s vagina. “But for now, at least, I am curious how you taste.” As Miyabi continued massaging Yanagi’s breasts, Sarah swept in and began eating out her pussy. Yanagi moaned, her legs unconsciously trying to clamp around Sarah’s head.

“Eek!” Yanagi yelped as one of her legs was furiously pushed aside and her pussy received a firm slap.

“You will mind yourself around Mistress,” Miyabi added on Sarah’s behalf. She stopped groping, cupped Yanagi’s chin, then slapped her across the face. It was awkward, given where Miyabi was sat, but it stung no less for it.

“I-I’m sorry! It won’t happen again!” Yanagi cried.

“Just sit still and take it,” Sarah hissed. “I don’t need to do much, so don’t fidget until I’m done!” Sarah placed Yanagi’s other leg on the edge and, having clamped both legs firmly out of the water, resumed licking her pussy. Miyabi, too, returned to her work pleasuring Yanagi’s breasts. And as much as she shivered and spasmed, Yanagi devoted what little focus she had to keeping out of Sarah’s way. For as much as the slaps had stung, it had felt ten times worse to have interrupted Sarah’s work.

Outside the virtual world, Tsukishiro Yanagi’s face had gone flush. Her unconscious body had remained stoic for most of her journey, and if there were any eyes on her they would have noticed the change in her facial expression or the hot breaths fogging up the glass of the pod she was sleeping in. But Sarah had awoken Soukaku and Harumasa minutes prior, and the two of them had struck up a conversation with the HIA members that were supposed to be watching the still-sleeping members of Section 6. That left nobody to witness Yanagi fidgeting within the confines of the pod holding her body. The VR goggles placed over her head hid her eyes from the world while keeping her focus trapped on the beautiful woman unremittingly lapping at her pussy. The sensory devices attached along her body dutifully delivered every relaxing feeling that assaulted her mind. Yanagi began slipping, reeling from pleasure but trying to sit still for Sarah- for Mistress.

Thoughts began slipping into Yanagi’s head. They were unimportant in the moment, consisting of names and phrases she had heard rumors of at most. She guessed they must have been Sarah’s associates, given she felt a sense of loyalty to those strangers. But those loyalties weren’t as strong as the one she held for the woman currently pleasuring her, and whether that was a purposeful bit of programming or just the heat of the moment mattered little. The more Yanagi accepted one bit of programming, the more eagerly she accepted the next. Mistress was more important than Miyabi. H.A.N.D’s orders came second to even the most menial tasks Mistress could give to her. Section 6 was merely an extension of Her will.

Yanagi felt her Mistress’s tongue grace her clit decisively; She must have been able to tell that she was on the brink, because She rose from the bath to meet her gaze. She smirked in triumph as She watched Yanagi come undone as she came. With her own job done, Miyabi released Yanagi’s breasts and gave the girl a light push into Mistress’s waiting arms. As Yanagi orgasmed in the virtual space, her real body followed suit. Her shattered free will dribbled out with her cum, soaking into her panties and becoming nothing more than a mess that needed cleaning.

In her final moments in virtual reality, Yanagi breathed a deep sigh of relief. For as cold as Mistress was in attitude, Her embrace was the warmest thing she could imagine. Sarah slowly brushed Her fingers through Yanagi’s hair, growling, “mine,” into her ear.

“Yours…” Yanagi sighed dreamily as she cuddled her cheek against her Mistress’s breasts.

The next few seconds were difficult for Yanagi. Mistress slowly faded away, as did the rest of the world. Everything felt cold, but she knew she had to keep composed. Once the program could safely release her, she needed to act natural. Nobody else could know that Mistress had hijacked the program. Hijacked her. For Mistress’s sake, Yanagi awoke with a cautious smile on her face, assuming the role of a triumphant fighter having just escaped a terrible fate. She looked over to Miyabi’s pod, and the two shared a knowing glance before returning their attention to the entourage entering the room.

“See? Told you they were fine!” Soukaku squeaked.

“Oh, thank goodness! I was so worried!” wailed a particularly emotional staff member.

“Thank you for your concern. It was looking close in there, but once we got Soukaku and Harumasa out, we were more or less in the clear,” Yanagi explained.

“Would you mind if we called HQ ahead of time?” Miyabi asked. “I’m sure you need to run some tests before we can be discharged, but we found critical information on the culprit while we were out.”

“Woah, seriously?! That’s amazing!” the worker cheered. “I’ll go fetch someone you can relay to while the nurses get ready!” Most of the HIA members shuffled out of the room, but frustratingly enough Section 6 was left somewhat supervised. Yanagi looked to the rest of her team, trying to wordlessly confirm if they were on the same page. Not that there was much of a chance Mistress would botch Her job, but as one of Her assets, Yanagi couldn’t afford mistakes on Her behalf. But to her relief, Soukaku and Harumasa’s less-than-subtle winks were all that she needed to see to know that she and her team were on the same page.

Once Section 6 had been cleared to leave, they quickly made contact with Sarah. According to Her, Null_Face’s identity hadn’t been just the one hacker, but rather an entire network of them. Still, with Her intel the criminals were rounded up for arrest all the same. The instigator, of course, wasn’t as lucky as his compatriots. Officials ruled his death as a suicide; a conclusion they wouldn’t have come to had they actually seen the body. But Section 6 had their fair share of trust and favors to burn, which they used to ensure minimal eyes on the case before it was closed. And with a few more strings pulled, they made sure Null_Face’s programs made their way from the evidence locker to the hands of One who could put them to great use.

Weeks went by, and nobody seemed to doubt the Null_Face incident was an open and shut case. Life in New Eridu returned to normal in no time at all. But there was still one matter remaining after the fact: Section 6 needed a way to keep contact with their new handler…

“Good work out there!” praised one of H.A.N.D’s agents

“That was quick. Is there anything you need to report?” Sarah asked flatly.

“No, nothing out of the ordinary,” Yanagi replied.

“Very well. I’ll have the paperwork done before the top of the hour,” Sarah said, bowing slightly before returning to her desk.

“Ms. Tsukishiro? May I ask you something?” the operative whispered once Sarag had left earshot.

“Yes?”

“That new secretary. She looks like one of the higher-ups from Vision. That Director involved with their recent scandal. She was never apprehended or questioned, but-“

“It’s alright… sir. I went over her background with a fine-tooth comb. There isn’t a reason to doubt her, everything checks out,” assured Yanagi.

“Ah, that’s good to hear. N-not that HR are slouches, but they don’t hold a candle to your meticulousness.” The agent awkwardly shifted to some small talk, but he soon left with a palpable relief. Yanagi, too, was relieved, a feeling that she had to mostly stifle as she made her way to Sarah’s desk.

“Sorry…” Yanagi paused to make sure nobody was nearby. “…Sarah.”

“Oh? What for?” Sarah asked. Her tiny smirk said she already knew the answer.

“For one, having to refer to you with a fake name feels wrong. But mostly I’m uncomfortable treating you like someone so… ordinary,” Yanagi admitted in a hushed tone. “Being a secretary is beneath you.”

“I’ve played this part before, and believe me this is an improvement over jobs. You should see the last guy who barked orders at me,” Sarah scowled.

“Hopefully we will soon. Speaking of which, should we happen upon him in a Hollow, what would you like done with him? Bring you his head, or leave him to rot?” Yanagi asked with a calmness more befitting a question about the weather.

“Since Miyabi and that blade of hers are already our assets, I see no reason not to make him disappear for good. But make sure he goes quietly. Someone’s been snooping around the Outer Ring trying to find him, and it'd be best for everyone if they don't realize they're following a cold trail for a long, long time.”

“Of course. I’ll update the Chief next time I see her.”

“Good. Oh, and Yanagi?”

“Yes?”

“Go make a reservation at a fancy, expensive restaurant for tonight. If I have to fill out your paperwork during the day, then you should be pampering me at night.”

“Yes Miss, of course!” Yanagi chirped. “I’ll get that done right away and text you the details.”

“That’s a good girl, Ms. Tsukishiro. I’ll see you tonight,” Sarah grinned. Yanagi left, much to her own disappointment. All she wanted to do was sweep Mistress off Her feet and shower Her with praise as she did Her every bidding. But she was a professional, and she couldn’t let any more suspicion fall on her Mistress after she had been planted within H.A.N.D so smoothly. Maybe one day their front could evolve. The two of them could get caught sneaking out together, and after that nobody would think twice if Yanagi planted a kiss on Mistress’s cheek during work hours, or if she left every conversation with her smiling like she had won the lottery.

Yanagi paused and took a deep breath to calm herself. Flights of fancy came second to Mistress’s goals. Her plans for New Eridu would come to fruition without fail. As Her best asset, there wasn’t anything Tsukishiro Yanagi wouldn’t do for her Mistress’s victory.

Notes:

Well, I actually managed an extremely last-second Hypnovember thing, I guess. Inspired in part by this post:
https://bsky.app/profile/stallewds.bsky.social/post/3lbmfsfdl4s2u

I saw those pictures and thought, "Dang, Virtual Revenge really did give us some pretty good potential tech control. Too bad Null_Face is a little fucker and I don't particularly want to see him succeed in anything." And then I remembered there's a mysterious lady villain we know almost nothing about, (to the point where she doesn't even have a tag on this site,) and decided she'd be great to shove into this scenario. And, well, if nothing else I'm glad I could put Yanagi getting her brain rewired by lesbian sex out into the world, even if I rushed this a little more than I'd like to normally. I might do a followup to this at some point, because someone recently put out an Ether Corruption Yanagi mod out and that's a concept I cannot possibly be normal about.

edit: Finally got around to editing exactly one line of this. I had figured some of this fic would get dated at some point, but it was kinda funny that the story content that released, like, a week after I posted this was the thing that explained why Sarah hadn't offed Pearlman sooner. But that didn't actually conflict with that much that I'd written, so my smut remained pretty much canon-compliant. I know you're all worried about that.
