Work Text:
“So, you said this show is about a girl who finds herself in another dimension, and has to find a way to survive?” Marc asks as he and Nathaniel sit on the latter’s couch together.
“Yup, with a healthy dose of found family tropes and near-death experiences.” The redhead confirms as he turns the TV on and throws an arm around his boyfriend.
The taller chuckles, “Sounds delightful.”

By halfway through the first episode, Marc is already interested. “I like the little one, he’s funny. Super cute, too.”
“Oh, you’re gonna love his backstory once we get into season 2.” Nathaniel promises ominously, not elaborating on exactly what he means by that.
“Oh god, did they give the dog a tragic backstory?” The ravenette asks with a chuckle, leaning further against the other.
“... No comment.”

“How wise of her to ask this complete stranger if she can live with her.” The writer snarks with a raised eyebrow.
Nathaniel snorts, “You really think a Disney girl is going to make a wise decision in episode one? If that were the case, there would be no more Disney cartoons.”
He laughs, “Okay, you’ve got a point. She is of perfectly average wisdom for a Disney girl.” He throws a leg over the other as the next episode begins to play.

“Man, this girl is way too trusting. She’s not actually the Chosen One, right?” Marc grumbles.
“Oh, of course not. That’s actually a huge plot point in the show, but I’ll save the infodumping for when we get to that part.” The shorter replies with a proud smile.
The ravenette leans up from Nathaniel’s chest to give him a kiss on the cheek, “I can’t wait to hear it.” He says earnestly.
Nathaniel is unsuccessful in his attempts not to blush.
~
“See! She learns her lesson, you can’t trust everyone you meet.” The redhead proclaims excitedly.
Marc throws a hand into the air in celebration, “Finally!”
Nathaniel chuckles, “She’ll learn plenty more lessons by the end of the show. Hell, by the end of the season, she’s gonna need a bit of therapy.”
“Can’t have a Disney girl without a need for therapy.” He shakes his head fondly. “... Wait, did the old lady just eat that guy.”
“Yup. She’s a bit strange.”
~
“Woah… the isles are beautiful.” Marc sighs, relaxing against the other.
“They really are.” Nathaniel kisses Marc on the head, “A little like someone I know, actually.”
“Ohh, youuu…” The ravenette giggles before sitting up to give the artist a proper kiss. “You’re adorable, you know.”
“More adorable than the dog?” He asks as a joke.
“Way more adorable than the dog.” Marc replies, adoration clear in his voice, as he presses their foreheads together lovingly.
