Seungmin may of broken up with Minho almost a year ago at this point, but Minho doesn't think he's ever going to be able to get over Seungmin.
It doesn't really matter if he can or not, because Seungmin has a new man in his bed. His name is Han Jisung, and he looks like an absolute angel from heaven.
Even when he laughs right before taking a still frame photo, Han Jisung is still beautiful. Minho will never get over Seungmin, but Jisung is going to be the one who has a ring on his finger.
He wonders of Han Jisung is what he can never be. Sweet, and kind, opens up easily. Loud. Minho can be sweet, he knows he can, but it's hiding away somewhere in the back of his head and the kindness doesn't want to come out and play.
Minho can almost see the ring if he tries to picture it. Seungmin is the type of persom to go all out with an engagement ring. It would be gold, because Jisung seems to like gold, and it would fit on his finger like it was born to be there.
Maybe in another life, that can be Minho, and he can be happy with the man he always thought he would marry. He never thought Seungmin would tell him it wasn't working out.
They were far too alike for it to go anywhere, and both of them knew it, but Minho thought thag they could work it out. Seungmin thought otherwise.
Christmas time is coming up. Seungmin broke up with him five days after Christmas last year. He said he couldn't spend more time with someone who he couldn't see himself having a future with.
There's red and green everywhere, but all it serves is a reminder that Seungmin isn't going to come back to him. Not like be probably evet would, but Minho liked to pray and hold out a little bit of hope.
It hurt him so much when he first heard aboit Jisung. It was three months later and one of their mutual friends was talking about a Jisung.
"Han Jisung who?" Minho had asked, genuinely curious as he cracked his knuckles on the table.
Felix's smile had faded and he looked at the table like it could answer Minho's question. "I forgot I wasn't supposed to bring him up around yoi. Han Jisung is Seungmin's new boyfriend."
At that point in time, Minho could feel whatever was left of his heart shatter into a thousand pieces.
Maybe Seungmin had met Jisung when he switched majors after deciding he no longer had an interest for going into the foresnics field. He was supposed to be a digital foresnics examiner.
It happened right before the break up. Maybe it was set in stone that Seungmin only wanted to get rid of anything that could tie him down.
And it just so happened that he had known Minho since they were children, and he no longer wanted to be near someone who was supposed to mean so much to his heart.
Seungmin looks so much happier with Jisung than he ever did with Minho. At least Jisung can make Seungmin happy, that was always something Minho had a hard time doing.
Seungmin was way too hard to please and Minho got tired of it after a long time of having to deal with the ups and downs that could be considered Kim Seungmin.
Another thing was that Jisung was prettier than Minho could ever dream of being. Somewhat long hair with big cheeks that could be stuffed with food and lips so red that they looked like ediblw tomatoes.
And right around bow, Jisung will be waking up in Seungmin'a old bed all cuddled up in a small ball. He wonders if Seungmin's sister had asked about Minho after he left.
It only serves to break his heart as the snow started to fall more and more.
And the boy that he loved is now in love with someone that Minho has never met in his entire life.
