"i've been away from you for a damn year, and all you do is look at me?" mason scoffs and rolls his eyes, raising an eyebrow at leon, arms crossed over his chest. "really? is that all i'm worth to you?"
leon's eyes are harder than mason recalls, as are his words when he speaks. "it's been almost two years, mason. after I was recruited by krauser, you just fucking vanished without a word. what the fuck do you expect me to do?"
he can't stand the pain in leon's voice, and it echoes in his chest. "...they put me under for two fucking years to figure out what umbrella did to me in raccoon city? they said..."
"what...?" there's a crack in leon's stoney façade, concern bleeding through as he watches the realisation hit mason. "what the fuck did they do to you, mason?"

resident evil 4 remake
leon s. kennedy route — author notes
welcome, welcome, welcome!
we're in book two of five! and it's gonna be
one hell of a bumpy ride!
i am so freaking excited to be here writing for
the remake of my favourite 'resident evil'
game (and 'resident evil 4' is also the first game
i ever played in this franchise back in...like
2008 or 2009 on some random person's
playstation).
i love the original, it will always have such a
special place in my heart, but the remake is
just... between the sound engineering and
the graphics of the game, along with the
brilliant work of the voice actors and the
actors themselves, it's a work of art that
will forever be one of my top video games.
ada wong will make her appearances within
this book, in accordance with the resident evil 4
story line, but with certain parts altered to fit
the narrative a little better — much like i did with
the previous book.
ashley graham, my beloved college girl stuck in
a hellhole with a creepy religious cult, is still
going to have her little crush on leon. but she
is also going to be a little fascinated with our
lovely boy mason, and it's going to be so damn
adorable watching them.
and, of course, my flirty spaniard luis serra...
spoiler alert: he is my second husband, after
leon, duh. he and mason have their own
tale to tell alongside luis' sweet budding
relationship with leon, and it is going to get
fucking messy when it all hits the fan.
i love my three boys, and i show that love
by putting them through hellish emotional
turmoil and having a tragic backstory.
they'd be too clean-cut and perfect if i didn't
do that, and the thought of it makes me
feel sick, lol.
once again, i will not be taking away leon's
flirty attitude towards essentially every single
female character that he comes across in the
series, because i am quite partial to his flirtiness.
and, frankly, it is a large part of his character —
along with his smartass and quick witted replies
to pretty much everything.
