Winter’s Night Dream
Before marrying, Yor Briar used to believe that dreams were only part of the subconscious mind, just as anyone else did. No real motivations or desires to think otherwise. She barely paid attention to the images her mind formed, nor remembered a lot of them. Only when they were nightmares, haunting her with vivid memories of the hardships she had to go through in the past and present: the loss of her parents, raising her little brother alone, becoming an assassin at a young age. Killing with no mercy, only because it meant a greater good.
It was hard to get rid of the smell of blood, to cope with the loneliness that came up with hiding the job and try to be “normal” while living. Barely socializing and ostracized.
So yes, her dreams had no meaning, until she met them. Until she met the new reasons of her existence. Until she became Yor Forger.
Holding Anya in her arms, smelling her gorgeous pink bubblegum soft tresses while bathing her in kisses, listening to her laughs and voice everytime she told a story, a joke, an “I love you mama”, painted some of her dreams in pink now. In a sweet, warm light and the fragrance of daisies that enveloped her and filled her with hope, with strength, and with the will to be the woman she deserved, someone for her to look up to.
All the times she dreamt about her daughter, she felt complete and happy. She couldn’t help but smile all day. And watching her beam at the thought of it, holding her close, made the wait for those dreams at night even better.
However, those weren’t the only ones that made her happy, excited, warm inside. In another way. A very different one.
Some dreams smelled of cedarwood and lavender, covered in soft wool, the warmth a pair of strong hands gave everytime they held her face lovingly to share the sweetest kiss, the loving exchange of words while she carded her nails on threads of sunlight, and looked straight into cerulean sky. Other dreams, had a strong musk, amber, vetiver smell, she could feel the heat in her veins while listening to a rich deepness musing a balmy mixture of sweet nothings and rough words in her earlobe, the silkiness of a wet tongue that enfolded from her nipples straight to the ardor between her legs. The stormy teal that were his eyes everytime he pierced her, while he found home inside of her.
Yor dreaming of her husband felt like an odyssey. One she didn’t want to wake up everytime she found herself in.
It was cold outside and she was snuggled up to the head alone in their bed, waiting for him to come home from a mission. It was supposed to be quick, but ended taking more time than he intended to. A whole three days. He called her urgently every single night, to assure her he would be there as soon as possible. That he missed her, Anya and Bond. That he couldn’t wait to hold her and kiss her. Reminiscing of the sound of his hushed whispers made her smile a little, blush profusely and tremble in anticipation.
In the end, she finally gave in to slumber, and the fantasy in her mind came to life.
She could see herself surrounded by a faint, warm gleam. Gorgeous chandeliers with gold and crystals hung from the ceiling, fairy lights in the shape of candles covered tall, columnar conifers in each side of the glorious hall. Light, white snow that covered the hills in white could be seen falling behind the windows. She could listen to mellow music, to the ball crowd around them while she moved slowly from side to side. Those surroundings disappeared while the night went on, and she could feel the slight swish of her flowy skirt, the woody odor of his cologne while she hid her face on the crook of his neck. His hands resting on her waist, his cheek on the crown of her head. Loid Forger’s cerulean orbs lit with mirth as he twirled her suddenly, making Yor laugh.
His smile was lovely, infectious. Just as the sun in his disheveled hair. Yor swayed, eyes closed, in complete bliss and Loid let go, only for her to fall in another pair of arms. Familiar hands that clutch into her hips, that held her back to his chest to feel his body completely mold against her. She exhaled and leaned on the man, whose soft lips brushed the side of her head.
Yor wasn’t afraid at all. She knew him. Yor adored his smell of vetiver, the hint of possessiveness in his touch.
-Twilight…
She turned in his arms. threw her own around his neck. Found the dark ocean in his eyes looking right back at her, his hidden, small smile only directed at her persona in those lips she was already acquainted with. The same lips that crushed onto hers, made her shiver in pleasure. Those that took the time to coax her mouth open, to make her feel his velvety tongue dancing with hers rhythmically.
Yor let out a moan in delight when he let go, and she twirled back to the warmth of her husband.
Her cheeks bright vermilion, she smiled sheepishly, embarrassed -I’m sorry…
-It’s okay, my love.
-But- Loid silenced her with a slow, delicious brush of his own lips to her lightly swollen ones.
-You have nothing to be sorry for- he let go with a chuckle. Confused, Yor dared to look back, to find no one behind her.
She couldn’t help but feel a ting of disappointment.
-Yor…- the deep timbre of his voice took her out of her thoughts, making her toes curl and her heart soar when his fingers touched her jaw and pulled her face up to him, only to find Twilight in front of her. Again. -It’s okay, it’s me. We’re one and the same.
He smiled, and it was that smile she adored with her whole being, the sun smile that lit up her days.
Her husband’s.
She couldn’t help but laugh heartily and throwing her arms around him once more, Yor let herself be loved by him, by his both sides, that cherished her the same and wanted her the same.
Because there was only one man there, any side of him only hers to unveil.
Yor opened her eyes slowly, the faint lights of dawn already filtering through the curtains. She breathed deeply, still lost in the haze her dreams provided that night, and curling up more to the very enjoyable feeling of the very real arms of her husband around her. He must have arrived sometime in the early morning hours, while she was deep asleep.
She snuggled to him in contentment, when his soft lips landed in her nape, inhaling her roses shampoo. -Hey… did I wake you up?
That deep raspy morning voice only ignited a spark in her low belly, her mind going back to all those fantasies he was part of. Yor turned in her place with a big smile, getting lost instantly in those ocean eyes. She pecked him lightly -Not at all, I missed you…-
-Mmm- He couldn’t help but smirk a little, his wife eyed him curiously- Did you?
-Well, of c-course, yes! You were away for so long!- she said with an adorable pout in her mouth, one he took away instantly with a searing kiss.
“Just as in my…” Yor reminisced, thoughts lost in the foggy pleasure.
-You seemed to have a very good dream…- Loid panted against her tongue, she turned crimson, parting from him a bit, jaw slacked at his very satisfied and knowing look- Do you want to share a bit with me?
At times like this, Yor Forger thanked her curiosity, that fire in her that he ignited, that gave her the assurance that he would absolutely love what she was thinking to do. Emboldened, she got close to his ear, delighted by the gasp he let out at the playful bite she left on his already hot skin. She smiled.
-Maybe it’s better if I show you…-
