Helping hands

Summary:

Love is in the air. Or something else. Angel Dust was definitely sure that something was heating up. And he'd be damned if he wasn't going to find out what was going on between the radio demon and the short king.

Notes:

Let’s add HuskerDust to the mix shall we ^^
These idiots need all the help they can get
And maybe they give a certain someone a push to the right direction 😉

(See the end of the work for more notes.)

Work Text:

“Hey Husk,” Angel Dust said, leaning against the bar counter, ”You saw that too, didn't you? Smiles' reaction earlier?”
Husk rolled his eyes, “You're reading too much into it, Angel.”

After Charlie had left with Alastor to look for Lucifer, Angel and Husk stayed behind at the hotel.
“No, not at all. Freaky Face looked like he wanted to kill me for saying the short king gets a proper fix up from this sin guys. Something's up, I'm telling you.”
Unimpressed, Husk looked at him and placed a glass in front of him. “Stop being crazy and play on your phone or watch TV instead.”

Angel puffed scornfully, “Like you could watch TV on that prehistoric thing Smiles bought up. Sorry Kitty, but the potential relationship drama between the king and Smiles is just so damn exciting.”
Angel leaned forward, “You and Lucifer are getting alone great right? You're always chatting with each other, well more than he talks to the rest of us anyway.”
Husk raised an eyebrow, still polishing his glasses, “And your point is?”
“Uh,” Angel groaned, slumping down on the barstool. “You really know how to kill a mood. Lighten up.” He pouted, opening his phone. It was no fun theorizing about other people's sex lives on his own.
So, for better or worse, he had to find distraction on social media again.

How boring.

But what else could he do, if Husk didn't indulge him, then so be it. It wasn't long before Angel noticed a strange hashtag; drinking with the Devil
Curious, he clicked on it and a dozen tweets jumped up at him. Some that reacted and some that had to express their own opinion and even some with blurred photos.

XxLickMyFeetxXx
Holy Shit! I've seen him!

Sign me up!

Interesting, Angel smiled.

The hashtag came from a picture of an account called: @blitzorodeo.
The photo was really bad. More like a snapshot than a real picture. It was totally out of focus and blurred. You could just about see full cocktail glasses, a red thumbprint in the corner, but Lucifer was clearly recognizable as he drank from a glass.
“Hm,” Angel snorted in amusement. “The King's got a guy, tall and red,” he said as he scrolled through the photos of the guy. Didn't know he had a type, Angel thought amused.
It was an imp, taller than an ordinary and business operator. Not bad short king. “So he still has good options, don't you think Husk?”
“I'm not listening to you Angel,” Husk said and polished his glasses loudly until they squeaked.
“Why always so grouchy, grumpy cat,” Angel said with a wink and Husk, annoyed, took a bottle of vodka from the shelf to pour himself a glass. Once Angel had started his shenanigans, he couldn't get him to stop anymore.

“Oh shit,” laughed Angel, almost shoving the phone in Husk's face.
“Angel, I can't see anything like this,” Husk pushed Angel away from him roughly and picked up the phone.
“What am I supposed to see?” he asked, looking blankly at the phone. It was a selfie of Lucifer and an imp. Why did Angel want to show him this so desperately?
“Look at the background, on the right by the door,” Angel said excitedly, taking the phone out of Husk's hand and zooming in. Now Husk could see it.
“What the hell?”

It was Alastor, who looked anything but happy.
Even though the picture was grainy, Husk could see the murderous look in Alastor's eyes. He always looked like that before he wanted to eat or to put it better kill someone, brutally. He'd given him a look like that when he'd addressed the leash Alastor was on.
“The imp is as good as dead,” Husk said with a shrug and put the phone down on the counter. Not the first time or the last when it came to Alastor.
“Don't you think he looks like someone who's really jealous because his partner is with someone else? Ah, I can smell the drama already,” Angel said, squealing enthusiastically. “Finally something's happening here,” he threw his arms up in the air happily.
“You're reading way too much into it,” Husk said, waving his hand, “Maybe someone just spilled something on his suit.”

Angel couldn't believe how blind Husk was acting. It was more than obvious what was going on.
“Why are you so against the idea that something could be going on between those two?” Angel said, crossing his arms.
“Why are you so sure that there is something going on between them? Because of a single photo?” Husk asked, crossing his arms as well. Why does Angel want to get involved in something that doesn't concern him or even exist, he thought.
“Do you have any evidence that suggests the two of them care about each other, other than the fact that they both want to be on Charlie's good side?”
“Well,” Angel bit his lips and thought about it. He didn't have any real evidence to show Husk, just his own intuition and the vibes the two of them had been giving off since their first conversation.
Angel knew he was right, though, and he wasn't going to let Husk discourage him.

“Alastor still keeps the bad boy's hat in his radio tower. Sometimes he curses it only to take it right back,” came a giggle from under the bar, ”And his shadow and the snake from the hat always cuddle together. When Alastor is asleep. He doesn't even know about it.”
“Niffty? What are you doing under my bar?” asked Husk, lifting the little demoness up.
She patted the dirt off her skirt and carried on talking. “You wanted proof,” said Niffty, grinning from ear to ear. “The bad boy listens to Alastor's radio show every day and comments on it. He never misses one and always listens to it when he's working at his desk. He's sooo sad every time it cuts out, because he can't hear Alastor's voice anymore. He's also working on something that looks suspiciously like Alastor. He's already thrown away quite a few because they didn't match him 100%. And they're both talking to themselves about each other and- What?”
Niffty tilted his head and looked at the confused faces of Angel and Husk.

“How do you know all this Niffty?” Husk asked with raised eyebrows. Niffty grinned and rubbed her hands together with a manic grin, “I'm in the vents a lot.”
“Ha, see Husk, I was right. Thanks Niff, you're the best,” Angel said, giving Niffty a high-five and grinning slyly at Husk. Niffty's strange habits really served him well, he would thank her for that, but for now he enjoyed his success.
Niffty smiled and was very happy about the praise. Husk slapped his hand flat against his face. He was still too sober for this. After he skipped the glass and drank his vodka straight from the bottle instead, he felt better.
Niffty and Angel excitedly exchanged theories about Lucifer and Alastor with wild gestures.

He's cute when he gets into it like that, Husk thought, resting his head on the counter with his hand.
He had noticed that Lucifer and Alastor had been weird the last few days, how could he not? It was his job to watch people and it was alarming how striking Alastor in particular was. It was just laughably obvious how first Lucifer avoided Alastor and then Alastor avoided Lucifer. Only to then almost obsessively search and look for the others.
Nevertheless, he would never, ever dare to interfere. It wasn't his business what others do in their free time.

A little later, Charlie and Vaggie returned to the hotel with Alastor and a slightly unsteady Lucifer in tow.

Alastor barely wasted any time and vanished into his shadow, and Lucifer also took his leave for his room.
“Wow, those two are stiffer than usual, what happened?” Angel immediately asked Charlie, who only sighed in reply.
“When we picked them up, they were awkwardly silent and didn't exchange a glance the whole way here. They're such a handful and wouldn't say anything about what was going on,” Vaggie replied for her girlfriend. “At least they didn't fight,” Charlie said dejectedly, sitting down on the lobby sofa. ‘I wish those two would get along,’ she said, cupping her chin in her palms.
“Don't worry, me and grumpy cat in the back will talk to them,” said Angel and sat down next to Charlie.
“Angel!” Husk immediately realized where this was going.
“That's sweet of you, thank you,” said Charlie and hugged Angel, who gladly returned her affection. “And what do you get out of it?” asked Vaggie, who seemed to smell trouble. “Why so hostile, Vag? I just want to create a good atmosphere, boost team spirit, a good work environment and all that,” said Angel, putting on an innocent face. Vaggie didn't seem convinced yet, “I'll keep an eye on you.”
All of this sounded all too familiar to her, this time she wouldn't just let anything slide. Charlie was way too trusting to fall for the same spiel all the time.

After Charlie and Vaggie had said their goodbyes for the night, he sat back down at the bar with Husk, who gave him a dirty look. “So you want to provide a completely unselfish, and I quote, ‘good work environment’?” Husk said, mockingly putting the end in quotation marks.

“A little vagueness sometimes saves a lot of explaining Husky,” Angel said with a wink and Husk only groaned.
What had Angel gotten him into? Now the princess was involved as well.
“Okay Angel,” he said rationally, running a hand over his face. “Even if you're right about your suspicions, what are we supposed to do? Are you going to lock those two in the closet until something happens?”
“Husk, that's brilliant,” Angel said thrilled. “I like your wordplay. Puns are really your thing,” purred Angel. Husk actually wanted to say that he was being sarcastic, but Angel didn't let him get a word in and began to explain his plan.
“I'll go to the king and try to get something out of him and you talk to Alastor. It'll be super easy, barely an inconvenience.”
“And you think he talks to me and admits his secrets to me? The guy even keeps secrets from his own shadow.” And I'm very interested in keeping my soul as a whole. Husk crossed his arms, “Angel, just because you're bored doesn't mean I'm putting my soul on the line.”
“You really are a puss Husk,” Angel sulked, tracing the rim of his drink with his fingers.
Husk slumped his shoulders. He would regret it, but he just couldn't see Angel sad. He really had gone soft. “Okay,” Husk sighed, ”I'll see what I can find out.”
“Aww, Husky,” Angel cooed delightedly and tried to hug Husk, but he pushed him away. “If he smells the smoke, I'm gone. No do-overs, besides, you tell me what to ask. I have no idea how or what to get out of him, and you let the matter rest when you realize it's going nowhere with Lucifer.”
“I can live with those conditions,” Angel grinned, very happy to be going on this little adventure with Husk.

Their mission began the next day.

Angel had spent the night finding out everything there was to know about this Blitzorodeo. That was the easy part. The imp had made a living as a hitman in the human world, loved horses and had terrible spelling.
Husk didn't care about the rest, he was fine with the questions Angel had prepared for him. The only problem was that Alastor hadn't shown up all day. So, Husk had no choice but to wait. Angel had it easier, he simply barged into Lucifer's room in the morning.
It wasn't locked, so Angel didn't bother to hide his presence. “Good morning, short king,” he chirped cheerfully, placing a tray of breakfast on Lucifer's nightstand. Lucifer himself sat startled on his workshop stool. “A-Angel, what are you doing here so early?” he asked in surprise and stood up. “I just wanted to bring you my best hangover breakfast. May I sit down?” Without waiting for an answer, Angel dropped onto Lucifer's unmade bed. He stretched and puffed out his chest, keeping an eye on Lucifer's expression, which didn't budge even the slightest bit.
“Thanks for breakfast,” Lucifer said, still not sure what Angel wanted from him.
“No problem, handsome,” Angel said with a wink, but there was still only total confusion written all over Lucifer's face.
All or nothing then, Angel decided and completely threw his earlier plan overboard.
“Actually, I'm here because of Al. He told me something I just couldn't believe.”
“I was drunk okay!” Lucifer said flustered and approached Angel, that was easy, he took the bait immediately.
“Yeah, I said he was attractive, but only because I was drunk and the light was so weird and he seemed so sublime, and maybe I wasn't that turned on by the way he reacted to Blitzo, but in hindsight and yeah, it wasn't a lie and actually I said if he wasn't a bitch he'd be attractive, so actually I didn't say he was normally like that, listen, it's just that I”

Angel was amazed at Lucifer's ability to talk like that without taking a breath. Valentino would pay good money for someone with that kind of lung capacity. Angel barely understood what he was saying, Lucifer was talking so damn fast. Definitely not finding a final point, Lucifer would continue to talk himself into the ground if Angel didn't intervene. “Okay, okay,” Angel said and put both hands on Lucifer's shoulders, silencing him. He looked at him with a bright red, or rather golden, head. “That was a lot of words to say that you think Al's hot.”
“No, I mean the opposite. I said-”
“Hush,” he put his fingers on Lucifer's lips to stop him from continuing. “I totally understand you. Alastor just has that certain flair. Tall, dark, red and handsome. It makes you a little fuzzy down there when you've think about it for a while. I understand that there's a slight lapse in judgment.”
“That's not a lapse in judgment, that's a loss of taste,” Lucifer said, raising his hands. “He's rude and has no respect for anything or for me. First he takes every opportunity to mock me and as soon as I do something to make him feel better, he ignores me. Leaves me out in the rain. What is he thinking? I'm his king,” Lucifer crossed his arms and mumbled, ”He could have at least said thank you.”

Lucifer hated being taken advantage of and he had sworn to himself that he would not be so soft in future. But again, his angelic heart had gotten in the way and Alastor had taken advantage. It made Lucifer furious to have fallen for a trickster again. It didn't matter that his heart beat faster every time he heard Alastor's voice, and it didn't matter that he wasn't really angry with the radio demon after all. It actually impressed him that he didn't cower before him and could stand up to him. He had enough yes-men around him, but no one who bothered to engage with him and challenge him. It was refreshing, it was new and it was exciting to experience something unpredictable for a change. But before he'd tell anyone that, hell would freeze over. Fuck Alastor, as if Lucifer would go after a simple sinner just because he'd made him feel something other than self-loathing for years.

“That doesn't sound like anything that couldn't be settled by good old fashioned hate sex.”
“Why does everyone say that?” said Lucifer, sitting down on his bed next to Angel in resignation. Really now, did he seem so needy and badly under-fucked to others?
“Don't worry, short king, if you need tips, I'm here,” Angel said, petting Lucifer's back sisterly.
“Tips?” Lucifer said with a provocative grin, ”Believe me, I could give you some tips.”
Angel's mouth fell open. That was unexpected. He made himself comfortable on the bed and grinned at Lucifer, “Oh hell yeah, now I'm listening.”

Husk only had the displeasure of meeting Alastor in the afternoon. Uncharacteristically, he even sat down at his bar and ordered his usual drink. That was strange, as Alastor usually disappeared at lunchtime and returned in the evening. But he hadn't been his usual self for a few days now, so Husk took the chance and tried some harmless small talk. “And how did you find the king?”
Alastor slowly settled down and shook his head disapprovingly, “The Prince of Lust like to blow things out of proportions. Lucifer had only gotten drunk on his dear daughter's troubles. Not a good image of a king.”
Oh, so you're calling him Lucifer now, huh, “Yeah, me and Angel saw this picture on the internet with him and his friend.”
A static noise could be heard. “Oh, his friend? Do you know this particular Imp friend of his, Husker?”
It was always good to know more about his potential victims, Alastor believed. It made the search for them much easier.
Alastor looked directly at Husk and a chill ran down his spine. “Uh, yeah, a little,” he said, searching with his hand for Angel's notes with the information about this imp.
”That's right, you and Lucifer seem to get along well. I often see you two chatting amicably.”

A trap, don't be fooled, “You have to be a good talker to be a bartender,” Husk replied, shrugging his shoulders. “Hm, true,” said Alastor and reached for his glass again. Meanwhile, Husk had found Angel's note. “What are the two of them doing together?”
Not that Alastor cared what Lucifer did in his spare time instead of looking after his kingdom. If he wanted to meet up with Imps to feel bigger, he was free to do so.
“Who?”
“Well Lucifer and his friend, the Imp we were talking about.”
“Oh, right, that one,” Husk glanced at the note. “They like... like riding.”

Husk could beat himself up for the way he was acting here. He was not a good actor and no one in their right mind would buy this.
“Riding?” inquired Alastor, clearly puzzled by the answer.
“Yup,” Husk said, refilling Alastor's glass. Maybe he could get him drunk, that would make it easier.
“Hm, if he likes to roll in the hay with peasants, go ahead,” even though his face radiated complete calm, Husk knew his master well enough to notice his twitching eye. Alastor was pissed, and by that he meant really pissed. Not a good thing.

“So, not that you're taking this the wrong way, they're just friends, no benefits or anything.”
Alastor breathed a sigh of relief, only to inwardly hate himself for it. He wasn't relieved that Lucifer wasn't having fun in bed with Imps, no, he was just glad that the royal bloodline still had some dignity after all. Nothing more.
“Oh really? So he even lets himself be handled by people he doesn't share a bed with, interesting.”
Go on, Husk thought and sighed, he was definitely not going to see his soul whole again. “Why do you even care?”

Another, much louder static sound and the antlers on Alastor's head got a little bit bigger.
“Oh, I have a justified interest in this, Husker. You know, I hate it when people touch me or my things. And when I think that Lucifer might touch me and some good-for-nothing touched him before, I develop a sense of disgust. Quite understandably, obviously.”
“So no one is allowed to touch Lucifer ‘in case’ he touches you?”
That wouldn't even make sense if Husk were sober, but Alastor just nodded. After all, it was only understandable. Any small child would understand, something as simple as that. The fact that Husk asked at all made Alastor doubt his intelligence, it was so obvious. Don't touch anything that doesn't belong to you. This is especially true for overgrown imps who dare to tarnish angelic locks with their dirty horns.
“Exactly. Anyway, I think he should be more concerned with sinners instead of fooling around with his peasants.”
“Is that so? Why?”
“Instead of dealing with bootlickers, he'd be better off keeping an eye on how certain people are getting stronger. Now that the Extinction is history and we know that angels are vulnerable, it's only a matter of time before the overlords band together to launch a coup.”
“So you want to protect him?”
That was bold, but Husk had come this far and he was a gambler. That was the point to give up, but those who didn't would be well rewarded.

The glass in Alastor's hand shattered, the static sound unbearably loud and Alastor's face unusually tense. Not a trace of an unreadable smile.
That wasn't what Alastor meant, was it? He wanted to get rid of Lucifer so that these strange side effects of his healing would subside.
Where did Husk get the idea that Alastor wanted to take care of the angel, he had only stated the obvious.
And if Lucifer keeps sticking his neck out at everyone, it's only a matter of time before someone sticks their nose in to smell the delicious apple-
With a sickening crack, Alastor turned his head to the side, “This conversation never happened,” and with that, Alastor dissolved back into his shadow.

Husk should be relieved, but somehow he thought he had just lost 8 of his 9 cat lives. At the same time, euphoria spread through him.
For the first time, he had won against Alastor.

Now he just had to tell Angel that Alastor... felt something for Lucifer.

“So I have a newfound respect for Charlie's parents. I totally underestimated shapeshifting. Wow, dio mio, the things those two did- ok, I'll be quiet,” Angel said when he noticed Husk's look. Husk really didn't have the energy for that after the shock he'd experienced with Alastor.
“I didn't think that would ever happen, but Alastor is really interested in something that isn't more power and strength. And it actually is Lucifer. I can't believe it.”
“I told you so, it's the same with Lucifer. Something draws him to Al. Besides, I think they already did it. There was this weird phrase. But never mind,” Angel said, grinning smugly. “Now how about a 'I was wrong and you were right Angel'.”
Husk rolled his eyes, he was a sore loser, but he stood by his words, at least if they concerned Angel. “You were right and I was wrong.”
Angel grinned with satisfaction, “On with the plan then.” He picked up his phone and dialed a number, “Hi Cherri, did you find it?”

The rest of her plan was simple again: lock them both in the closet. And Angel had made sure that they wouldn't just get out again. A wardrobe that was big enough was quickly found. It couldn't be locked, but if you put an angelic spear between the handles, it wouldn't open. Cherri had given him a dozen talismans to trap evil energy, which they would attach to the wardrobe and the perfect trap was ready to go. All that was missing were the perfect, unsuspecting victims.
He would call Lucifer with an excuse that he needed help with the closet door, and Husk would do the same with Alastor.
A foolproof plan, Angel thought.

Angel checked his phone and when he got Husk's message, he went with Lucifer to the closet that was causing a 'problem'. And as discussed, Alastor and Husk were already there.
“Oh Husk, you found Alastor,” Angel shouted exaggeratedly loud, causing the two men to turn around.
“You don't need to be here now, just go back. An expert is needed here,” Lucifer said proudly and pushed Alastor aside.
“No need, Your Majesty,” said Alastor, slapping Lucifer's hand away as he reached for the closet door. “As a hotelier, I take care of such things, surely you have royal duties that you must not neglect any more.”“Just look inside, whoever finds the problem first can solve it,” Husk said mediating. Lucifer and Alastor looked at each other from the bottom up and then looked in different directions again.
“All right.”
“If I must.”

The whole thing was too easy, but Angel wasn't complaining. While Alastor and Lucifer now looked at the closet from the inside, giving each other fleeting, definitely not venomous glances as they realized how tight the closet was, Angel grabbed the angelic spear and quickly closed the door, wedging the spear between the door handles that wouldn't open. At the same time, Niffty began sticking talismans to the closet at high speed, laughing gleefully.
“Angel, this isn't funny, let us out,” Lucifer said, banging on the door.
“Oh, is His Majesty so weak that he's going to let a little wood stop him? Let me see- what's happening?”
Instead of green energy forming as usual, it was absorbed by the talismans. Alastor tried again and again, but the same thing kept happening. Lucifer also tried to use his magic, but nothing happened.

Both realized that they were trapped.

“Let us out!”
“Husker, you open that door right now!”
“Not until the two badboys get along and stick their tongues deep into their-” the rest went under as Angel covered Niffty's mouth. “Whoa, Niff, take it easy. We'll let you out when you get along. Charlie's worried about you guys.”
“This is all your fault, Alastor!”
“Mine? I beg your pardon! Who can't get home without help and join the riff-raff?”
“What? How about other people thanking you for doing something nice instead of running away! How about right now?”
“Husk, if you don't open this door right now, I'm going to use you as a furbag!”
“Leave Husk out of this!”
“With how many more people do you mess around!”

The closet rocked back and forth angrily and the cursing, grumbling and complaining of Alastor and Lucifer resounded throughout the hallway. But the closet held together and didn't open. They had succeeded. The only question was how long a simple closet could hold an angry angel and overlord. Husk was curious to see what Angel had come up with. He also wanted to know how he knew that angelic steel and talismans could keep Lucifer's and Alastor's abilities at bay.
“So, what now?” Husk asked as he applied the last seal. He didn't know how long it would last, but probably an hour. “Hehehe, funny that you ask,” Angel said nervously. “I didn't think it would work at all and we'd get this far, so,” he made a sweeping hand gesture. “I don't know, sorry.”

Husk blinked at him. He was so dead.
As soon as Alastor got out of here, he would rip his soul to shreds and broadcast his screams on the radio. He would never again experience the pleasure of alcohol, never again play a game on a slot machine or in a gambling joint, never again see Angel. Never hear his voice or have anything to do with him again.
Angel looked at him apologetically, knowing he'd fucked up and understanding that he'd piss Husk off to no end. Inwardly, he waited for Husk to yell at him, but that didn't happen.
“You know what? Fuck it, if this is the second time I've lost my soul, I want a nice evening. Angel, want to go out for dinner with me?” Husk said and reached for Angel's hand. Angel looked at him with wide eyes, he hadn't expected that. But he was pleased that Husk wanted to spend his last hours with him. “Where did that come from?” he asked, a gentle smile forming on his face and interlacing his fingers with Husk's. “Heh, after looking at those idiots, I couldn't bear to be like that. So,” he pulled Angel close, ”any favorite restaurants you want to go to?”
“Surprise me,” Angel said smugly, snuggling up to Husk. He hadn't expected this turn of events, but he really liked it.
“Niff, you keep an eye on these two. Don't let them out until you hear smooching noises. Or... maybe not.”
“Bye boys, you can count on me!” Niffty called after Angel and Husk, grinning manically at the closet.
Oh hopefully the noises would start soon.

The date went wonderfully and Angel and Husk returned to the hotel a few hours later in good moods. “I'm surprised the hotel's still standing,” Husk said and Angel whistled appreciatively. Actually, he too had come to some closure with his life. Lucifer certainly wouldn't kill him, but you never know.
And after everything he'd learned about him and his relationships today... Well, they were things he didn't need to know about the queen of hell. Or her creativity for punishments.
“Let's go check on Niffty before- you know,” Angel said, running his fingers teasingly over Husk's chest.
“Hey Niff, been paying attention? Did something interesting happen?” asked Angel when he and Husk had reached the closet. It was open, the angel spear lay bent on the floor and the talismans were in a pile of pieces.
“Oh, something very interesting,” giggled Niffty, “The two of them have been arguing and blaming each other for a long time. Then suddenly there was a rattling sound like clothes tearing and Lucifer started apologizing and Alastor said he had to go to the tailor now. And something about bad taste, then Lucifer got mad and said it wasn't intentional. And something about bad taste, then Lucifer got mad and said it wasn't intentional. Alastor said, 'You're used to small tight places, how can you be so clumsy. I'm not a doll' and the king made an appalled sound and then said 'When I'm done with you, you'll need a wheelchair for the rest of the week' and then there was a deep moan from Alastor and a delighted sound from the king. It was amazing,” Niffty grinned dreamily and Angel and Husk exchanged meaningful glances.
They hadn't expected that, but that didn't mean what they were thinking now, right?

“But then this roach ran into me and I went after it. When I came back, Charlie had already let them out. But this is how I imagined the two of them,” she said, holding out her very detailed and graphic drawing to the two of Alastor and Lucifer doing... things in the closet.
“Wow, Niffty, that's very... anatomically correct.”
“Thank you, I'm very sure I've hit them accurately,” laughed Niffty proudly, putting her drawings away. “I can show you my others too.”
“No need Niffty,” Husk said, putting a hand on Angel's shoulder, ”We'll be on our way.”
“Thanks again Niff!” said Angel, pulling Husk with him towards his room.
“Bye guys,” she said, waving vigorously after them.
“Aww, they're going to get it on now too,” she muttered serenely, grinning dirty.

Oh, how she loved getting inspiration for her comics and fan fiction at the hotel. This was the best.
