Chapter Text
Ash sighed as she cautiously stepped through the apartment, Revenant’s hands covering her eyes. “Revenant, please; I told you not to get me anything this year.”
“Now, I wouldn’t be considered a good boyfriend if I didn’t get you anything for Christmas, hun.” He guided her through the apartment, running into every possible piece of furniture. She wasn’t entirely sure he wasn’t doing it on purpose.
“I didn’t want you to get anything due to what happened last year.” She huffed, her needle leg getting caught on a random rat toy, causing her to almost trip and faceplant on her apartment floor.
Strong arms caught her, a fact she definitely didn’t think about (it was all she could think about.) She thanked him with a grunt as he continued to guide her into the bedroom.
“It wasn’t that bad.” He chuckled as she ran straight into the bed, keeping her balance by grabbing his arms.
“You put a pile of corpses in my living room.” She deadpanned, now stopped and waiting for him to take further action.
“They were in the shape of a heart! The bones spelled out Merry Christmas!” He argued, still keeping her blindfolded as he defended his case.
“Kaleb, I swear, I just got the stains out by last Halloween; if this is another massacre, you’re sleeping in the rat ca-”
Growing tired of Ash’s yelling, he quickly cut her off by revealing his surprise. Take aback, Ash forgot all about the pile of corpses her boyfriend had so lovingly placed in her home. In front of her was one of the most beautiful swords she’s ever seen, wrapped in a bow.
The sword was a modern design, fitted with what she assumed were special abilities and able to replicate her phase breach. The sword seemed connected to her and came to life immediately upon her touch, silver plated details popped with a blue hue. The hilt was wrapped with a delicate Celtic knot design, and the edge was sharp as ever. Besides the sword was a matching data knife, a basket with a bottle of motor oil, rat snacks, and lubricant canisters.
Ash ran her finger across the sharp edge of the blade as she took in the scene. Revenant stood behind her, eyes shifting nervously as she stood in silence.
“Uh-you know if you don’t like it, I did get some corpses just in case.” He watched as she set the sword to the side, she picked up the knife and turned to face him. The sharp edge quickly found its way to his chassis, and a dark look of lust crossed her face as he took an unnecessary sharp intake of air.
“Kaleb. Bed. Now.”
