A Child's Wishes (2MIN)

Summary:

THIS IS A MATURE/EXPLICIT STORY.

When Seungmin saves a kid named Felix, his entire life is flipped upside down. From meeting a mafia boss and Felix's bodyguard to meeting an informant and nearly getting killed, Seungmin doesn't know how to handle it.

Everything in his life goes from order and routine to chaos and unexpected things happening. His normal days are turned around, constantly returning Felix to Minho, Felix's older brother and the mafia boss. It's slightly annoying but he doesn't want the kid to get hurt.

Little did he know that Felix liked him so much that he asked his big brother if they could keep him. Seungmin's normal life is taken from him in an instant.

A child's wish was Seungmin's downfall.

Trying to update weekly on Saturday/Sunday! >.<

Notes:

Hello!

Welcome to this new idea for a maybe mini story. I’m trying not to do a big massive long story that I might not complete or leave un-updated for a long time.

This is going to be a darker story (then again aren’t all my stories usually dark and mature-) themed around mafia and forced romance, almost like Stockholm syndrome or forcing independence on someone.

Yes, even Felix who is the kid in this story, isn’t innocent-.

Anyway, I hope you all like this!

This chapter contains:
- Almost being run over.
- Slight panic.
- Near-death experience.
- Gunshots.
- Being threatened.

Hopefully, you all enjoy this!

Kudos and comments are highly appreciated!

See you all at the end!

(See the end of the work for more notes.)

Chapter 1: Accidental Meeting.

When Seungmin was heading for a casual walk around his neighborhood to take a break from being inside, he hadn’t expected to be saving a child from being run over.

Moments before this, Seungmin’s life and schedule had been the same.

How did he end up in this moment?

About to die because he dived in front of a car to save a kid who stumbled onto the street?

Seungmin’s day had started like any other. He woke up early and got ready for work. His schedule and routine were meticulous. Every morning he woke up at 6 AM, had a shower, washed his face, and then had breakfast.

Once ready, he left for work at 7 AM on the dot. His lunch was made the night before, so he was always prepared for break time. His break was always at noon and finished at 12:30 PM.

The day went by quickly as Seungmin worked his office job. He always clocked out on time, at about 5 PM unless asked to stay back, which he had time accommodated in case he needed to do overtime. His work day was clean and efficient.

When he got home from work, Seungmin would shower, unpack everything, and then make dinner. He’d also prepare his lunch for the next day and go to bed before 9 PM every night.

On the weekend, he usually followed a similar schedule, but his time was filled with music, cleaning, and singing instead of work. Seungmin would finish the day off with a walk. He’d walk to the park and around it before heading home.

It's the same scene, the same route. It was nice for Seungmin.

The fresh air and everything crispy were lovely. Seungmin loved it as it was his chance to break from his scheduled life. The street light flickered and the bugs came out to flutter about. It was a wonderful time for Seungmin.

Cars zoomed past, the streets were empty due to how late Seungmin was for a walk. Their headlights glossed over Seungmin in the darkness, highlighting his figure as he walked down the street.

Everything in Seungmin’s life was perfect.

Seungmin had finished all his chores earlier than usual. It was a surprise, but he was happy to take the time to go for a walk. The sun was still up but slowly rolling behind the clouds.

It was a sight to behold. He was excited to have the chance to change up his schedule and overjoyed to get to do his weekend walk early.

The walk was perfect. It wasn’t too cold or hot, and the air temperature was cooling but not overwhelming.

Everything was going fine, perfect. He walked down the familiar route, taking in the different sights. Seeing the route in the light instead of the darkness was nice.

So how in the fucking world did we end up diving for a kid who had run out onto the road?

It was all a blur. He enjoyed the scenery before a kid was running out from an alleyway. It was a kid with blond hair. He looked to be maybe 5 - 6. He wasn’t looking, running with bright giggles and a giant grin. It was like slow motion as he watched the kid run out onto the road.

A car was coming down the road and before Seungmin knew it, he was calling out and sprinting for the kid.

He could see the kids’ eyes widening and how they tensed for the car to hit them. Seungmin watched as their sudden joy was morphing into fear. How their eyes widened, life flashing before their eyes.

One second he was running, the next he was jumping for this kid.

The tarmac hurt when Seungmin landed on his shoulder. He cried out in pain as he was holding onto the child tightly, tumbling against the ground as he heard the screeching of the car wheels and the loud horn.

Pain seared through Seungmin’s body as he scraped against the ground, regretting that he wore shorts. Seungmin held onto the kid tightly, his eyes closed and his heart beating out of his chest.

But there was nothing, he didn’t get hit, didn’t feel any pain. Seungmin was confused as he slowly opened his eyes.

“Oh my god! Are you okay?!” The voice of a person called. They were the driver, in a panic that they had nearly hit Seungmin and a child

Seungmin groaned as he slowly opened his eyes. “Fuck,” he hissed out. He slowly sat and noticed how close the car had been to hitting them. It had swerved to the side, blocking the road but it meant Seungmin hadn’t been hit.

When he looked down at the child in his arms, he saw they were bawling their eyes out, but not wailing. They sniffled and sobbed but didn’t make any noise. “Shit. Yeah, we’re okay,” he whispered as he felt his heart beating out of his chest.

“Hey, hey. You’re okay,” Seungmin groaned in pain as he slowly got up, the guy from the car helping him. He made sure not to drop the kid despite his muscles throbbing and how his body rushed with adrenaline. “Where’s your parents?” He asked quietly as he ignored how his legs were scrapped and slowly bleeding.

There was no sign of any distressed parents looking for a kid, but there sure as fuck was a crowd that had surrounded the area. Phones out and recording the scene. Seungmin frowned and made sure to cover the kid’s face.

“Can you tell me who your parents are?” Seungmin asked as he looked down at the kid. Tears streamed down his cheeks and Seungmin cringed for a second but wiped away the tears. “Come on, kid. I need you to talk to me.”

Seungmin sighed again but tilted his head when the kid spoke to him. It was quiet and he could barely hear or understand him. “What?” He asked before he blinked. The kid was speaking English.

Fuck. Sure, Seungmin spoke English but he didn’t speak it that fluently or well. At least he didn’t think he said it well.

“Ah- English?” He tried and watched as the little kids’ eyes lit up.

Great. The kid spoke English.

But before Seungmin got the chance to speak again, there was suddenly the sound of a gunshot. It echoed loudly and scared everyone in the area. Mass panic ensued, and everyone ran. Before Seungmin knew it, he was sprinting.

The kid was still in his arms and he tried his best to weave through the crowd. It was hard to run or do anything when people panicked. They crashed into each other and didn’t care for anyone but themselves. He’d seen how people get pushed over and trampled, no one caring in the moment to help them.

Seungmin hissed as he looked down at the frightened kid. “I’m…gonna help you. I'm going to my house,” he said, trying his best to explain everything to the kid. His English wasn't the greatest, but he knew enough to communicate with the kid.

A couple more gunshots were heard and Seungmin sprinted faster. He hissed as he usually didn’t have to run, he only walked everywhere. He cursed as the added extra weight of caring for a child, was a struggle.

Honestly, he wasn't sure how long he ran for but he ran hard.

People were screaming and Seungmin could hear sirens going off in the distance. Likely police on their way, ambulances too.

Why in the world were there fucking gunshots?

Seungmin panted as he split off from the crowd, his house wasn't in the direction everyone was running so it was safer for him to run back to his house. He hissed as he felt the kid pull at his hair. He knew it was from fear but it still fucking hurt

The kid hiccupped and when a fourth gunshot was heard, Seungmin nearly tripped. He jolted and stumbled briefly from the fright of the gunshot.

Once he ran back to his house, Seungmin was relieved. He didn’t know where this kid’s parents were or where he’d come from but he needed to find them, and quickly. He panted as he leaned against the wall, barely holding the kid in his arms. His arms were trembling but he could see the kid had finally stopped crying.

“Do…do you have a name?” Seungmin asked in between gasps of breaths. He cringed at how rusty his English sounded. He was rusty speaking English. “Can you speak Korean or only English?” He asked quietly as he hugged the kid close as he tried to find his keys. His trembling hands were a pain in the ass as he rummaged through his pockets.

When he finally fished his keys out of his pocket, the kid spoke again. “F-Felix. I, uh…speak both. More En-English,” the kid whispered and Seungmin felt relieved as he hugged Felix closer.

“Hi, Felix,” he took a few steps, trying not to tremble. “I’m Seungmin. Can…you tell me how old you are?” Seungmin got his door open and he set Felix down. Felix stared up at Seungmin, looking kinda confused. Felix glanced down at his shoes and Seungmin raised a brow.

Felix pouted. “I’m six,” he whispered. Seungmin smiled and nodded, he closed and locked the door behind him. When Felix didn’t move, Seungmin tilted his head before he chuckled. He could see how Felix started at his shoes, sneakers with laces.

Seungmin knelt in front of Felix and started to undo his shoelaces. “You don’t know how to undo your laces?” He asked with a chuckle as he saw Felix was blushing, clearly the six-year-old was embarrassed.

“No,” Felix pouted and Seungmin nodded as he helped get his shoes off.

Once Felix’s shoes were off, Seungmin smiled. He pulled his phone out and pulled up his notes. “Write down your words,” he told him quietly. Felix tilted his head and took the phone back to type away on it. Seungmin was thankful the kid could type and use a keyboard, most kids would and Seungmin shouldn’t assume Felix could, but it was good. Felix took the phone and started to type on it as Seungmin got out some food.

There was no point in calling the police currently as they were busy with whatever crisis was occurring. He’d get the kid to help find his parents and then he’d drop him off. He could give them some food and water to try and calm them.

As Seungmin waited for Felix to type the words out, he got everything else ready. He'd just make japchae, quick and easy for the moment. Soon, he was cutting up veggies, and meat, and boiling some water as he did so.

When his phone was shoved back into his face, Seungmin blinked a few times. He had always been better at reading English than speaking it so this would be easier.

“Ah, okay. You’re not sure where your parents are?” Seungmin asked as he read the message. Felix nodded and Seungmin hummed. “Do you have any older siblings? Do you know their number? Address?” He asked with a deep frown.

Felix looked confused before he nodded and typed away on Seungmin’s phone. Seungmin left Felix to it as he started to get something made. Now, Seungmin wasn’t the biggest fan of kids, nor did he know how to look after them. But the least he could at least try and help this kid.

Just as the pan started to get hot, Seungmin’s phone was in his face once again. Seungmin blinked a few times before he smiled at what he saw. Felix had an older brother and he knew the number and the address.

“Good, good,” Seungmin said before he hummed at the name. “Minho is your brother’s name? Does he speak Korean or English?” He asked with a smile as he threw some cut-up vegetables into the pan to fry them up as noodles were boiling in a pot.

A small pout was on Felix’s lips as he saw the vegetables. “Korean,” he whispered and Seungmin nodded. Seungmin could see Felix didn’t like vegetables and he laughed quietly.

“Don’t worry. I have meat too,” he told Felix before he repeated it in English, Felix was able to understand when Seungmin switched to English quickly. Felix looked excited and had a bright smile on his face, Seungmin was amused by his reaction.

Seungmin fried the vegetables before throwing the meat in. But he also dialed the number Felix had written down, he needed to tell someone that he had Felix, he’s sure Minho was worried about Felix.

The kid was small and young, almost defenseless in the mess of this all. He had no idea what was going on outside, where the gunshooting had been happening. A sigh left Seungmin when his phone went to voicemail.

“...Felix,” he called out softly and the kid stared up at him. “Your brother didn’t answer. Do you wanna eat?” He asked him with a soft smile, knowing the kid might be hungry. He was hungry so he could only assume the same was for Felix.

Felix perked up and nodded. Seungmin smiled and asked him to hop on the table as he tried to call Minho’s number again. The meat was easily cooked when Seungmin threw it in as well, the thinly sliced pork sizzling.

Once the food was ready, Felix was at the table and Seungmin placed a bowl in front of him.

“It's hot. Be careful,” he warned Felix as he placed some rice he had prepared earlier in the day, down onto the table. Seungmin had rice cooking before he left, smiling at Felix who thanked him.

Seungmin got a bowl of food and headed to the table as he tried once again to call Felix's older brother. When Minho didn't answer again, he decided to leave a voicemail for him.

Maybe he was someone who answered only if there was a voicemail.

A huff left Seungmin.

Why wouldn’t you keep your phone on you or answer the phone if you didn’t know where your little brother was and there was a shooting occurring?

He watched as Felix ate and couldn’t deny the fact that Felix was quite cute. His cheeks puffed with every mouthful of food and he ate quite well for a six-year-old with chopsticks. Seungmin had offered the spoon on the table but Felix chose the chopsticks.

Seungmin was thankful he was eating. He went to get his bowl of food as he was texting a message to Minho. In case he didn’t have time to listen to the voicemail, at least he could have something to see.

“Mister Seungmin,” Seungmin looked at Felix, concerned when he saw how red Felix’s face was.

Now that he was looking at Felix, he saw that his clothing was warm. A jacket along with pants and most likely a long sleeve under that as well. It was insane since the temperature was hot. It had been humid in Korea lately.

“Can I have some water?” Felix asked quietly and Seungmin nodded. The kid had to be boiling. He nodded, getting his food from the kitchen, then brought a glass of water over to Felix. “Thank you,” Felix whispered and took the cold water with shaking hands.

A small huff left Seungmin. “Are you hot?” He asked quietly. The hot food in his system likely wasn’t helping with how hot Felix felt currently either. Felix drank the water before he nodded rapidly.

Seungmin laughed before he walked over. “Take this off?” He asked with a soft hum, hands on the coat. Felix nodded rapidly and Seungmin smiled as he took Felix’s coat off and placed it on the back of the chair before he tilted his head.

There was a dull, blinking light hidden, under the collar of the coat. He tilted his head as he tried to figure out what it was. He pressed it in between his fingers but nothing happened, no sound, no alert, and the light didn’t turn off.

It was strange, honestly.

Was it some kind of tracking device?

He frowned as Felix didn’t seem to know, Felix continued eating and Seungmin looked over the coat. Maybe there was something in his pocket, something in his coat, more to tell him what this device was.

Ultimately, he ended up with nothing, even as he asked Felix who looked equally confused. There was no point dwelling on it. Seungmin headed over to his seat, he should eat something.

Now, Seungmin didn’t have strong paternal instincts, but he knew how to care for a kid. He found Felix cute, but he couldn’t say he’d keep the kid. They were a lot of work and interfered with his life. He never thought about having kids and was sure as hell not going to start thinking about having one now.

Hell, he didn’t even have a partner.

Why the fuck was he thinking of this? He must be going delusional.

Just as he sat down, there was a sudden loud pounding on his door. Seungmin was confused as he hadn’t expected to see anyone or have anyone come to his place in this commotion.

Seungmin frowned and sighed loudly. “Coming!” He called out and told Felix to stay put. He didn’t know who was at the door but didn’t want to risk Felix’s safety. He headed over to the door with a sigh and frown.

But Seungmin didn’t get the chance to open the door before the door was suddenly kicked in and he was greeted by the end of a gun’s barrel. Seungmin threw his hand up in a surrender pose, eyes wide.

“Where is he?!” Seungmin was confused when the man shouted. Seungmin saw a man with black hair, slicked back and styled. He was shorter than Seungmin but was built like crazy. Seungmin had no idea who he was or what he wanted.

The man cocked the gun when Seungmin didn’t reply. “Where’s the kid?” He asked with a hiss. A mask was on his face, covering his full appearance.

“I don’t- the kid? F-Felix?” Seungmin asked, eyes still wide and the other male glared at Seungmin. He gave a curt nod to Seungmin’s response. “H-He’s just in the kitchen, eating- wh-what’s going-,” the man didn’t let Seungmin continue as he stormed into Seungmin’s house.

It’s not like Seungmin could fight the man off, he was built like crazy and he had a goddamn gun. Seungmin would likely get shot before he ever got the gun off of him.

“What are you doing? You’re gonna scare Felix,” Seungmin hissed and grabbed his shoulder. The man turned around and the gun was at Seungmin’s head again.

Fuck. What was he thinking?

He was going to get shot, trying to be worried for this kid. Whoever this guy was, he meant business. Seungmin was scared, but he needed to try to keep this kid safe. A man with a mask and a gun would terrify any kid and Felix was only six.

“Look. I don’t know who you are and how you know Felix, but this isn’t how you should greet a kid,” he said as he removed his hand from the man who raised a brow at Seungmin’s concern.

When the gun’s safety was taken off, Seungmin’s breath hitched, and his eyes clenched closed.

God. Was he about to die because of this?

A chill ran down his body when the gun was raised to his head. He clenched his eyes closed in fear.

“Chan-hyung, no!” Felix’s voice suddenly echoed in the house. The cold metal of the gun was removed from Seungmin’s head and he opened his eyes to the sight of Felix hugging his leg. Seungmin was confused and the man looked just as confused. “He’s good! He’s good, don’t shoot him!” Felix called out.

The man frowned deeply as he lowered his gun and suddenly put it away. “Didn’t I tell you to stay put, Felix?” He told him sternly and Felix looked guilty. “How many times have I told you to listen?”

Felix whined when his head was whacked on the head by the built man that Seungmin could only guess was named Chan. “He’s a good person. Seungmin saved me from being run over!” Felix vouched for Seungmin.

“He saved you?” Felix nodded and Seungmin gasped when the gun was raised at his head again. “What’s your name? Why did you take Felix back to your house?” He picked Felix up, and Felix quickly snuggled in. “I’m Chan. I take care of Felix.”

Seungmin had his hands raised once more. This man didn’t think he spoke any English. Seungmin wasn’t sure if he could trust someone Felix didn’t note down, but they knew each other. That was clear due to how Felix clung to him.

“I’m Kim Seungmin,” he whispered. “I just- he was a kid I saved from being run over. I asked if he was with anyone and asked the crowd if he was anyone’s kid. No one replied. Then there was gunfire. I just ran and took him with me,” he explained. There was no need to reveal he understood English…unless Felix was going to mention it. “There’s videos from people on the internet by now, I’m sure and you would’ve heard about the gunfire on the news.” His face and knees would’ve given things away as well. He was scraped and injured.

Chan glared at him before he lowered the gun. He put it away, clicking the safety back on. “You never saw us. You don’t know me and sure as hell don’t know Felix. Got that?” He hissed out.

“Stop being mean, Chan-hyung!” Felix squawked out and hit Chan on his chest. “He’s nice! He fed me, gave me water, and even helped take my shoes off!” He cheered out with a small giggle, trying to stop Chan from being mean. “I like him. Don’t be mean, hyung.”

A loud sigh left Chan. “You like him?” Chan scoffed loudly. “You’re kidding me, Felix. Just because you like him does not mean we’re keeping him. Your brother is gonna be angry with you,” he told him sternly and Felix pouted.

“We’re going,” Chan told Seungmin as he walked over to the chair, grabbing Felix’s coat. He then headed to the front door to grab Felix’s shoes. He pulled his wallet out and placed a wad of notes on the table. “To pay for the food and any medical attention you need.”

Then they were gone.

When the door shut behind him, Seungmin collapsed to the floor. All the adrenaline and fear that had coursed through his body was suddenly gone. He panted as he was on the ground, terrified he’d be killed.

Seungmin closed his eyes, trying to calm down but it was hard for him to stay calm.

Not when he had a gun to his head and a man threatening his life. He let the kid be taken. Sure, they seemed to know one another but that didn’t mean anything. He’d known plenty of scenarios when kids had been hurt more by someone they knew, than a stranger.

A shaky sigh left him, trying to grasp his mind and focus on his surroundings.

Just as Seungmin started to collect himself, his phone blasted loudly. It made him jolt.

His fingers dug into the floor before he forced himself to get up and grab his phone. He let out a shaky sigh when he saw it was Minho. Felix’s brother.

Fuck.

What was he meant to tell him since Felix was gone from his place?

💎:⋆⊱⟡⊰⋆:💎:⋆⊱⟡˚🎕┈┈┈┈🎕┈┈┈┈🎕˚⟡⊱⋆:💎:⋆⊱⟡⊰⋆:💎

“I like him,” Felix said as he swung his legs in the backseat of the car. Chan looked pissed off as he drove away. His car was parked near Seungmin’s place. Chan made sure to note down Seungmin’s address.

Maybe he’d need Seungmin’s address again, with how often Felix was able to slip away.

“Yes, well I don’t care about if you like someone or not. I told you to stay put and what if he hurt you?” He glanced at Felix in the mirror. “What have Minho and I taught you?”

Felix pouted at the scolding. “...don’t trust strangers or go with them anywhere,” he whispered, fiddling with his sleeves. “But he saved me! He protected me from those guns and a car! He’s good and hyung will agree!” He huffed, folded his arms, and looked away from Chan.

Chan sighed loudly as he looked back at the road. It was slightly frustrating when Felix got into a hissy-fit mood but shook his head. He didn’t have time to deal with this. He had to get back to the base and drop Felix back at home.

If Minho didn’t already know, Chan wouldn’t get in trouble. He continued to drive, the traffic bad from the previous shooting.

Despite the police re-directing traffic, it didn’t do too much. Cars were backed up far and Chan contemplated pulling to the side and running back to the base on foot. He tapped his foot impatiently, mask removed from his face and he could feel himself become agitated.

Then again, he’s thankful Felix had wandered off. That Seungmin had saved him from getting run over.

When he thinks back to the sudden shootout that occurred, Felix could’ve been killed if he stayed in the spot where Chan had told him to stay. When he ran back to the place Felix had been told to say Chan was a mess because the spot had been riddled with bullet holes.

Chan remembered the panic, how he ran, expecting to be greeted with a tiny body, riddled with bullet holes and bleeding out.

But he had been relieved that no one was there. Of course, Felix thought running off and making Chan chase him would be funny. Hide and Seek Tag, was one of Felix’s favorite games to play with Chan.

Everything had gone wrong except for the worst-case scenario Chan was thankful for.

A conversation turned into a shoot-out. What a joke, incompetent people who can’t even handle a broad daylight trade and soon got too antsy. Felix had gone missing and Chan had been panicked, cursing out the people who caused the problem.

He’d never been so thankful for Minho’s paranoia which led to him always keeping a tracker on Felix.

“Can I see Seungmin again? Some day?” Felix asked quietly. Chan glanced over his shoulder to see Felix looking pouty. “I liked him. He was nice.”

Quietly, Chan sighed. “I’m not sure, We’d have to talk to Minho,” he told him and Felix perked up. “But you might have to convince him. Have you been practicing your Korean?” Chan teased, knowing that Felix could speak Korean but chose not to speak it often.

Felix pouted again. “Yes, hyung,” he replied in Korean, and Chan chuckled. “I’ve been practicing. Hyung only likes talking in Korean,” Felix mumbled as he pouted further.

“That’s right. Minho only likes it when you speak in Korean because we live in Korea,” Chan said with a soft chuckle and Felix sighed loudly, being dramatic as always. “I know it’s hard but you’re picking up the language so well, it’s good. You’re doing good,” he told him, Felix smiling at the praise.

Chan knew Felix could speak Korean well, and Minho knew, too. Felix was young enough to pick up a second language with ease. Chan had also been teaching Felix Japanese, which he picked up flawlessly.

“I like speaking English though, Chan-hyung,” Felix whispered. “It’s hard but familiar,” he said as he swung his feet, Chan amused by Felix’s antics. He was a cute and amusing kid.

But before Chan could reply, his phone started to ring. Chan was confused, but his eyes widened when he saw it was Minho.

Why in the world would Minho call Chan? He told him that everything had gone smoothly.

“Hello?” Chan clicked the answer button, thankful the car had Bluetooth. “Boss, what’s going on?” He said. He hated this traffic right now. It was moving but slow. He drummed his fingers against the steering wheel, nervous.

It was never good when Minho called after a mission was complete.

“Tell me why I just got a text, call, and voicemail from some person named Seungmin about them having Felix?” Minho hissed out. His voice crackled over the car speaker and Chan winced. “Well, Chan? What the hell happened?”

Yet Chan didn’t get the chance to reply.

For once, he was thankful Felix was a ray of sunshine. He cut Chan off before he could reply and face the wrath of Minho.

“Hyung!” Felix called out when he heard Minho’s voice. “I’m with Chan-hyung!” He shouted, sounding adorable and that he was perfectly safe. “He kept me safe, hyung!”

Minho grunted. He didn’t sound pleased but he wouldn’t berate Chan in front of Felix. This was Felix’s favorite hyung after all. “Hi, baby. Did you have a fun day with Chan?” He asked, his tone becoming that gooey, cute tone. It was one of Chan’s favorite things since it meant Minho wasn’t going to kick his ass.

“So fun!” Felix giggled. “Mister Seungmin was nice and protected me from getting run over!” He proudly proclaimed and Chan winced at the way Minho fell silent. “He fed me and called you. Oh, and then Chan came and got me!”

Chan bit his lip, he was worried Minho was gonna kill him when he got home.

A sigh left Minho. “That’s…” He scoffed. “Good, baby. I’ll see you when you get home. Alright?” He asked softly and Chan grimaced, knowing Minho was pissed and he’d get questioned once he got home with Felix.

Usually, Felix would never come out with Chan on a mission. But when Minho had an emergency happen, Chan had to take Felix. Minho’s missions were too dangerous and could lead to Felix getting hurt.

Plus, there was no home to look after Felix.

Not anyone Minho trusted anyway. They needed a babysitter or one of Minho’s trusted men to care for Felix but he always refused. Chan had tried to discuss it with Minho often but was always shut down.

Minho’s stance never changed. He said the same thing, every time. “Felix doesn’t like anyone else but you or me. I’m not putting him through the distress of a stranger unless I like this person.” It was frustrating to no end. But Chan couldn’t say much.

Felix wasn’t his kid. Minho’s opinion and parental choices weren’t his to control.

All he could do was be there for Felix and take care of him. At least until they found someone Minho and Felix liked.
