Work Text:
Let all time slow, let all light go
I don't need to know where we begin and end
I'd still know you, not being shown you
I only need the working of my hands
Do you understand?
(I could only lose me) I wanna lose me
(If I fade away, let me fade away) I, I wanna fade away with you
(If I was any closer) if I was any closer
(I could only lose me) I could be lost
(If I fade away, let me fade away) no more than I was or than I
Want to be when you fall on me like night
I wanna kill the lights
I wanna run against the world that's turning
I'd move so fast that I'd outpace the dawn
I wanna be gone
I wanna run so far, I'd beat the morning
Before the dawn has come, I'd block the sun
If you want it done
De Selby (Part 2) - Hozier
🥴🍆💦🥵❤🔥
Rook was having a rough one.
Well, I mean, on top of the roughest year of their lives, the past… days? weeks? However long they’ve been stuck in the Fade prison has not been a piece of cake.
They lost track of time pretty easily. The Fade was fucked up like that. But they were pretty sure time moved totally different here than how it did at the Lighthouse.
But the Prison was something else. This place was special.
They didn’t grow tired. They didn’t feel hungry. They didn’t get dirty.
Rook can't remember even sleeping since they got here.
It wasn’t exactly a prison. It felt more like a museum. A glorified display cabinet.
A place barren of all but guilt, designed to preserve you, so nothing could distract you from the suffering.
But they keep walking. Following Varric’s voice.
Then Neve’s. Then Davrin’s. All the way back to Varric.
But there’s barely any time to react, any time to grieve before they spot a way out.
They hear Emmrich’s voice, and Taash’s. That’s Lucanis! He’s alive!
They sneak their hand in, praying it’s not a trap, and after some push and pull, they’re blinded by the sun, which is their first clue that they made it through.
The second one is a pair of purple wings, just as they feel his arms around them and his reassuring voice in their ear.
But too soon they remember they’re not alone, because everyone else had the same idea, so they end up squished in a group hug.
Lace insists they give them space to breath right when they were beginning to struggle.
But who cares?! They’re back! And they have their team to get them through it all.
Where would they be without them?! Most likely forever trapped in the Fade…
They quickly examine them and deeming them healthy enough, they start guiding them from room to room. Everyone is talking over each other, and they do their best to answer everyone’s questions, but they’re still in a daze, not entirely sure if this is really happening.
Eventually, they realize they’re going back to the Lighthouse, and soon enough they’re sitting down in front of a mountain of all their favorite foods.
They get a rundown of the plan and how they got them out, as they shovel food down their throat.
“Did you eat anything the whole time you were gone?” Lucanis asks as he refills their plate.
“No, but I didn’t need to. Or at least I wasn’t hungry until now… But mostly I just missed your food.”
He gives them that soft smile that makes their insides flood with warmth. “Good thing I made more than enough.”
“I was going to say… Are we expecting more people?” They take the chance to properly look around. There are pies and cheese and three different kinds of bread piled up on the table. Shortbread, bagna cauda, demon-haired pasta with mushrooms, and cinnamon rolls.
“Nah. I just needed to do something with my hands or I would go mad.”
And then they get interrupted by the team asking them for a complete retelling and asking questions.
That’s how they find out they’ve been gone for 23 days.
It's crazy. It didn't feel like it and they felt bad that it's been so long for them, but they don't know if they could have handled that for several weeks.
There are so many things to process and they can’t afford to crumble yet.
Not when they’re so close. There’ll be time for all of that later.
For now they go back to their room, which looks pretty much like they remember.
Except for an empty wine bottle, the five empty cups, and a knitted blanket that smells just like Lucanis.
Has he been sleeping here?
It doesn't help shake off the feeling that they’re still dreaming.
Especially when Lucanis kneels at their feet.
He gives them a quick kiss. It’s sweet but it’s over way too fast, and Rook wants to cry and scream and melt, all at once.
No, wait, come back.
Before they can react, he’s crowding them against the couch, climbing on top of them, and Rook’s heart feels like it’s going to explode.
Holy shit, this is happening.
Purple shines on their periphery, Spite making his presence known but there’s too much happening to pay attention to him.
Lucanis is kissing them again, tentative and exploratory.
He’s a bit clumsy, so Rook grabs his head and guides him into the kiss. When he gets the gist of it, and uses just the right amount of tongue and suction, it makes Rook’s toes curl.
His weight on top of them is grounding and all-encompassing. Rook is a bit shorter than him, so they fit together like puzzle pieces. It might be soon to tell him, but Rook knows they’ve never felt like that before.
They lift one leg around his waist, wanting to make sure he doesn’t let go and his hand moves to hold it in place.
A wave of heat pulses through Rook as this adds just a bit of pressure to their core.
Lucanis sighs against their mouth and his other hand goes to Rook’s hair, softly caressing the tip of their ear.
Rook can’t help the sound that leaves their mouth. It’s a bit mortifying but he has to know how sensitive elven ears are, right?
Except Lucanis stops, looks surprised and slowly does it again, checking on their reaction.
So maybe he’s not so aware.
They fight the urge to whimper too loud because barely anything has happened but Rook is already too wet.
And right then, Lucanis decides to get his mouth involved and softly bites their earlobe and Rook loses it, hands roaming with desperation pushing him impossibly closer, bringing their groins together.
He bucks his hips and Rook keens when they feel him getting hard against them.
He gasps and freezes, and Rook smiles at him, and he seems to relax after that. Like if there’s any universe out there where Rook would be offended in any way to be having this effect on him.
Lucanis moves lower, tentatively kissing and nibbling on their neck, and Rook chastises themselves for being so bad at fighting the noises. But it’s been so long, and they want him so bad, and they’re so touched starved…
Right then when they’re feeling a tiny bit less self-conscious about it, Lucanis laughs.
“W-what’s so funny?”
They know they’re not hiding their insecurities, and it’s so transparent that Lucanis looks instantly mortified and apologetic.
“Oh, no, it’s not - you - you taste sweet. Your mouth tastes like the chocolate we had earlier, but your skin is also somehow sweet. I’ve been wondering for so long… But of course you’d taste sweet.”
Rook smiles, a lot less anxious. “Oh. It’s the paint. It’s made of berries.”
He nods, taking it in. “Edible paint. Very practical, considering how hungry you make me feel.”
And maybe it’s a cheesy line, as well as emphasizing that with a soft bite, but his voice rumbles against Rook’s neck. It sets their nerves on fire, making them gasp and bare it more.
As if they hadn’t been pretty much begging to be devoured for months.
How can he think he’s bad at flirting? It's beyond them. Rook’s underwear can attest to the contrary.
For his part, at first, Lucanis just tasted like coffee and something entirely unique. No shock there. But now it's bittersweet after he added their own paint to that. It feels very apt.
He sneaks a hand under their coat, biting their neck and hiking up Rook’s other leg around him.
Rook tightens their grip around his waist, grinding harder against him. Lucanis swallows a moan.
Lucanis starts to unbutton his vest with a sense of urgency.
Rook wants to scream with delight, but their self-sabotagingconsiderate side has to ask.
“Are you sure? I don't want to rush y-”
He smirks, as he keeps unbuttoning. "Rein, if these past weeks proved anything is that I should have done this a long time ago.” If Lucanis’ voice dripped sex on a casual Tuesday, they weren't strong enough to resist it now. And then he suddenly froze full of worry. “Well - that is - if you uhm - if you also want to - uhm-“
They have a hard time fighting the smile, and they answer by throwing their coat off instantly.
There are goosebumps erupting on Rook’s skin, and undressing makes it worse but they need it off. They desperately need to feel his skin in theirs.
“Lu, I don’t think there's anything you could ask me for that I wouldn’t freely give you.”
His smile is blinding, and as he kisses them, they help him undress.
“I’m sorry it took me almost losing you to get here.”
“It’s okay. We’re here now,” it’s brief but Rook stops for a second to appreciate they’re finally getting Lucanis naked.
“You almost weren't… I love you, Rook. I should have told you sooner.”
They freeze in place, as they wonder when they ate a handful of fireworks.
They’re not going to lie and say they haven’t been dying to hear that for months now.
For fucks sake, they knew earlier where they stood in their relationship with Spite than with him.
But even during the most uncertain of times, they wouldn’t trade this moment for anything in this world. “I - I love you too. Are you sure this is really happening?” The smile almost doesn't fit on their face.
Lucanis chuckles, and then his shirt is off and Rook has a hard time remembering what they were talking about.
Now all they think about is rubbing their face on his hairy tits.
But maybe let's wait to unpack the weirdness until next time. No need to scare him off so soon. He just said he loves them.
Holy shit! He loves me!
So he gives a quick kiss to his chest, just to get it out of their system for now, and then kisses him fiercely, grabbing his ass over his pants, rutting against them more intensely. Rook swallows his startled sounds as they groan low in their throat at the firmness of his ass or his length.
Wanting to ride him is not even optional anymore. It’s a mighty need.
So Rook turns them around, eager to have him underneath them.
Rook pins his hands above his head, and they're a bit shocked that it works so well. Lucanis goes pliant and melts into the couch with a look of awe and so much hunger, his pupils are dilated.
Like they know he could easily fight them off or turn this around if he wanted to but he's more than happy to be at Rook's mercy. It’s like seeing a wolf baring their neck.
Oh, this is going to be fun.
They suck on his neck and grind against him deep and slow, getting the first open moan out of him. They feel a bout of pride for it and keep up the rhythm, wanting to drag out of him as many sounds as they can.
MORE!
Rook lets go of his wrists immediately, startled by Spite.
MORE!
They laugh, surprised. “Hi, Spite. I missed you too.”
ROOK. MISSED ME? ROOK. LIKES ME!
“Of course I do. You're part of my favorite person.”
They swear he shines brighter at that.
They kiss him softly, and bless him, he tries to reciprocate but he’s all teeth.
Whatever, it might take more than one try to teach a spirit to kiss properly. Rook has nothing but time to dedicate to them.
But it doesn’t take long for him to get impatient.
TOUCH. US!
“Spite!” Lucanis is quick to admonish him, though Rook chuckles, not bothered at all.
PLEASE.
Rook is now openly laughing. “Oh, look at you, Spite. Such good manners. What a good boy…”
Rook moves their hand lower and cups him through his pants. They squeeze softly and he moans and hisses but then Lucanis’ panicked voice breaks through the spell. “WAIT! NO! STOP!”
Rook takes their hand off as if they were burned.
Lucanis lets go of their hips and starts apologizing, so Rook, spooked and awkward, moves off his lap, lying down by his side. They’re panting and a bit shaken, but that doesn’t stop them from staring at him worriedly.
Lucanis is covering his face with both hands, trying to regulate his breath.
“Shit, sorry - am I - was that too much?”
“No - Yes! - no - I just - well - I -“ he makes a deep sigh. “Mierda! I - it’s - it’s embarrassing…”
“You can tell me anything...” Rook’s hand moves to stroke his chest, encouragingly but Lucanis doesn’t talk.
Rook has a theory of what might be the problem here.
They’re willing to venture that after a year imprisoned, a series of catastrophic events, and virtually no privacy in a place where everyone had been monitoring him and Spite constantly, Lucanis must be as pent up as humanly possible.
Either way, happy to help.
So they feel like he deserves some mercy, perhaps helping him spell it out. So Rook tries to relate. “I haven’t done this in a long time… If I’m honest, I’m a bit nervous,” Rook said, thinking it might encourage him.
“I think I have you beat,” He somehow sounds smug and embarrassed simultaneously.
“It’s not a competition,” They are glad he is opening up, but the self-deprecation is kind of defeating the purpose.
“No - Rook - I mean - I - before I met you -” he sighs deeply. “I’ve never felt like this before.”
“I never loved anyone the way I love you either,” they shrug. It’s important for Rook to convey he’s not alone in this. It never had this gravity before.
Their words take his breath away and he gives them a soft smile. “Me neither. But it’s not just that. I -” he takes a deep breath. “- I’ve never done this before.”
“This as in… sex?”
He nods.
Wait, what?
They know it’s too late to fight the shock off their face and not gap like a fish. “That’s so hot!” they blurt out.
He scoffs. “Rook… Don’t lie to me.”
“I’m not! I swear!”
He looks like he doesn’t believe them.
So Rook does their best to put the million thoughts in their head into words. “I just - I think there’s something really sexy about being the first person to see you like this - to be worthy of having you in this way - to a degree you’ve never given yourself to anyone else…” Rook stops to take a deep breath. The more they think about it, the hotter they burn. “This is a gift I hope to be worthy of.”
Lucanis blinks at them astonished for a bit. “Well, when you put it that way…” He doesn’t look so embarrassed anymore.
Rook smirks. “So, how is that even possible? I always assumed you have to be beating people off you with a stick on a daily basis, so…” They do their best to say it with as much humor as possible, keeping any judgment off their voice.
He laughs. “I think you’re overestimating my good looks.”
They make a point to look at him from head to toe. “Nah.”
He gives them a raised eyebrow, but it’s not too serious because he smirks and Rook feels better. “Yeah, I think you’re definitely biased…” he pokes at Rook’s nose, and then looks away for a moment, looking for the words.
His hand moves softly caressing Rook’s side. It’s very tender, especially coming from such a deadly assassin.
But Lucanis was always full of contrasts.
“I mean, it’s not like I never had any offers... Just, none that actually interested me. No one that made me feel, well, how you make me feel.”
Rook quickly thinks back to all the past months. The way they’ve been shamelessly throwing themselves at him, and how they always got him flustered so easily. They assumed he was just awkward, especially after that time he crowded them against a wall. But now the way he ran away before kissing them made more sense. They feel a bit bad to have come on so strong now that they have some background.
“I know you’re saying it as a good thing, but I’m sorry for being so much...”
He smiles. “That’s not - it’s not a bad thing. I like that you’re a handful. It’s just all so new. Feeling like this, you, all of you -” He sounds the perfect mix between fond and horny that just makes Rook wetter, if that’s even possible. “- and Spite is too excited - it’s all a bit much - I’m sorry.”
“Oooh, right, Spite. What is he saying?”
“Nothing that bears repeating.”
Rook can’t help but notice he’s not elaborating, and that makes them even more curious. “...Is this all new for him too?” They look in the direction he’s looking.
They have to admit that there’s something about a spirit losing its virginity that would sound borderline comedic if it weren’t so intriguing.
His gaze turns back to Rook. “Well, yeah - pretty much…”
His blush deepens. Rook has never let a thing go in their life ever.
“... pretty much ?” they smirk.
He looks to the side and points his finger. “No, that doesn’t count. Shut up!” He looks back at Rook. “I mean - yes, he is.” He grimaces, throws his head back and covers his face again, trying to hide his fierce blush.
“Oh! Oh! You mean…” So many questions, so little time. So they settle for “Did he ever lend you a hand? Has he learned any tricks?” Rook wiggles their eyebrows.
Lucanis completely shields his face with both arms crossed over, even if he fails to hide a nervous smile at their joke.
Rook remembers to have mercy on him. “Hey, don’t be ashamed. Not with me. I just want to know you two better, but you don’t need to explain. I’m just making light of it. I probably would have done a lot dirtier with the spirit possessing me, so who am I to judge you? I would never. I promise.”
He sighs. “Maybe you should judge me a little…”
Rook cackles. “Not really my style.”
Lucanis peaks from under his arm. “Anyway, he wasn’t as invested as when it comes to you.”
He shakes his head, but Rook grabs his arms and moves them slowly, making him look at them.
He’s bright red, and Rook isn’t sure how he has any blood left to blush with how painful the tent in his pants looks.
Rook is not about to let him feel embarrassed. “So, to recap, you didn’t really want me to stop before because both of you were enjoying that…”
He groans and rolls his eyes, but still nods. “A little too much.”
Rook smirks, not believing their ears. “Don’t say that like it’s a bad thing.”
“Forgive me for not wanting this to end in five seconds with me ruining my pants.”
Rook cackles, and Lucanis looks embarrassed and marginally pissed off. “Oh, no, I’m not laughing at you, my love,” they can see the nickname have an impact. “I’m laughing because if you think I would let the night end without us properly ruining each other-” His pupils dilate and there’s a look of hunger on his face that makes Rook think he’s very on board with what they just said. “- well - I guess I can’t really blame you because you don’t know me like this - yet -” They do their best making that sound as enticing as possible. “- but - believe me - as far as I’m concerned - the night it’s just starting and I’m not going anywhere…”
They accompanied that with a soft pull at his waist, bringing him back into their arms and kissing them softly.
They do their best to slow things down, to keep this as a light make-out kind of situation for a bit.
If you ask, they might also be nervous about dropping their pants in front of him, so this way they deflect the attention for a while longer.
But like two minutes later, Lucanis is squirming, close to combustion. Rook isn’t faring much better.
They can’t even go anywhere below his chest unless they want him to start trembling and twisting away.
It’s too evident how much he’s struggling and Rook feels the need to give him an out.
“We can stop if you want and just cuddle and talk.”
“No! No, I - I don’t want to stop,” he says, breathless and a bit offended that Rook is even suggesting that.
“It feels like you're holding yourself back so much that it has to be painful by now…” They demonstrate this by moving a single finger over the tent of his pants. Lucanis holds his breath. “See?”
“I’m sorry.”
“Don’t be sorry. I just - I feel like you don’t want me to touch you…”
Nevertheless, he scoffs and shakes his head, frustrated. “No! No, that’s not it. I do want you to - so much… But I’m not going to last.”
“I don’t care about that. I just want to make you feel good. You have the rest of the night to make it up to me in any way you want. Let me take care of you… And let me know if you want me to stop.”
He seems intrigued by that offer, so when Rook plays at the hem of his pants, they nod and let them take them down to mid-tight. They’re both holding their breath, as Rook carefully peels off his underwear.
The tender way he says please as his dick bounces on his stomach and he squirms for every minimal touch Rook makes will forever be burned in their memory.
Rook forgets how to act normal. Not like they ever were the paragon of normality to begin with…
“Fuck.” Rook wants to shove his whole dick in their mouth, but they have to finish taking off his pants first. So they make one last crucial statement as they do. “Perhaps I’m being optimistic but as soon as you recover, be it tonight, tomorrow or next week, I’m riding you like I’ve been dying to…”
YES!
“Mierda, Rook… You’re killing me here.” He’s a bit shocked at Rook’s suggestion and Spite’s interruption, but they see his dick twitching, and he recovers quickly from the shock. Let’s hope that applies to more than just that. “But with your wandering hands on me? You make me… optimistic too.”
Perfect. He took the bait. Rook smiles a shit-eating grin “Who said anything about my hands?”
He says, barely audible. “...what?”
But Rook lowers their head and licks a long strip from root to tip without breaking eye contact.
He tries to curse but chokes on air and coughs, almost hitting them with his hips.
Rook moves back to avoid being hit and swallows a laugh at the panic in his reaction.
They give him soft kisses and kitten licks, going as slow as they can.
He makes a punched-out noise, face is all scrunched up. This bodes well, considering Rook has barely started.
“It’s okay, I’ve got you,” they say as they finally get him in his mouth. Lucanis hisses and hides a keen noise that quickly muffles with both hands.
Rook lets go of his dick with a pop. “Please, don’t make me tie you up.”
His face makes Rook think he might want that.
“Oh! Okay then! Duly noted! I’ll keep that in mind for next time, but now, I want you to touch me… And please, don’t hide your noises, I want to hear you,” Rook pleads and it works.
The soft “ah - ah - ah” he gives them now, as he unravels and gains confidence, makes Rook’s skin feel hotter.
They try to make it memorable for both of them, going slow, being tender and patient, just enjoying the intimacy.
Each time they remember no one else has ever seen him like this before, Rook defies the odds of spontaneous combustion.
He gets louder the more precise Rook’s tongue gets. “So responsive…” they practically mewl around him, but he’s too busy panting for them and grabbing onto the couch too hard to respond.
They feel him leak in their mouth, so Rook tongues at his slit and he wails.
Lucanis’ hand moves instinctively to their hair as he whimpers their name and establishes eye contact as Rook sucks at the head.
The broken moan that leaves his lips is going to haunt Rook forever.
They bob their head slowly, swirl their tongue, and use their hands to touch him all over. His responding noises are immediate and encouraging.
In another situation, Rook would love to put on a good show for him, but they know they’re pushing it because he’s been overwhelmed and quite on edge since before they got him out of his pants.
They wish they could suck him off with the voracity they want to, but this would have been over already if they had.
His hips twitch and his dick leaks more and Lucanis’ hand pulls at their hair and they moan around him, making him moan even more.
ROOK’S MOUTH.
There he is again. He was being awfully silent.
“Yeah? Do you like my mouth, Spite?” but they only get a garbled noise as an answer. That’s probably all they can muster right now.
To make Spite speechless is probably their most shocking achievement.
When he didn’t respond, they felt the need to stop for a second, to give them the chance to breathe and ask. “Are you doing okay, Lu?”
As much as they like Spite nowadays, there’s really no better feeling than the butterflies in their stomach each time they see Lucanis’ spark of recognition in his eyes when he switches back.
“C-close,” he’s hanging on by a thread, trying to regulate his breathing.
“Can I get you off, Lu?”
He’s breathless but nods as he pleads so sweetly. “...please.”
So Rook smiles and picks up the pace.
The slurping sounds would mortify them if Lucanis wasn’t covering them up almost entirely. Their name on his lips just went on to sound loud and desperate.
The one time they look up, they see his face all scrunched up in pleasure.
There are flashes of purple, glitching, making them aware of Spite being present but not in enough control to manifest completely.
They get him as deep as they can and then swallow around him. There’s a string of curses in Antivan that Rook is glad to barely register, lest they laugh and choke. They’re being very strategic with their intake of air right for a reason.
He’s reduced to a mass of sisisi and nopareisnopareisnopareis, until it’s all a big repetitive string followed by a warning that’s appreciated but entirely unnecessary because nothing would stop Rook now.
His hips jerk and one of his legs is spasming, as they feel him reaching a point of no return. They can’t keep delaying the inevitable.
They feel him tense up and throw his head back with a moan in crescendo as he comes down Rook’s throat.
Rook keeps going until they make him squirm with overstimulation, wanting to swallow to the last drop. Did they just make the Demon of Vyrantium mewl?!
They move back up, and savor kissing the tears dripping down his cheeks. Rook can’t believe they caused all this.
Lucanis’ body shakes in the aftermath, as they both fight to catch up their breath.
Rook can’t take their eyes away.
He’s never looked more beautiful than right at this moment, boneless, disheveled hair, blushing from his forehead to his chest, thin layer of sweat all over. There’s a goofy smile on Lucanis’ face and he looks as fucked out as they expected. It’s a great sight to see and it makes them feel proud to be the cause of it.
After a few minutes of silence, Lucanis finally speaks again, without opening his eyes. “I don’t think Spite has ever been this quiet.”
They can’t help the urge, so they sit up and make a very theatrical vow. “Glad to be of service.”
It makes Lucanis open his eyes and cackle, but he looks at them smiling brightly, all starry-eyed and pulls them into a kiss as soon as they lower to lay down again.
He’s definitely tasting himself in Rook’s mouth but he doesn’t seem too bothered by that.
That makes them feel even hotter.
“That was… Joder, Rook, there are no words,” he says, still breathless. “Thank you.”
Rook laughs. “I’m glad you enjoyed it, but you don't really need to thank me for that...”
“Oh, trust me, I do-” He buries his head on the crook of their neck and entangles their bodies again, like before, like they’re trying to collide. “-but I think you know by now, I’m not a man of words…” he says.
They almost don’t notice him untying their pants.
He must notice them tensing immediately because he stops and suggests “I can leave them on if you prefer…”, but that would interfere with all of Rook’s plans.
“No - it’s - you can take them off - I just - you’re the first person since - well, since I figured myself out I guess - and definitely the most important one to date - and I - I guess I’m just nervous for you to see me. All of me. I don’t want to disappoint you.”
It’s very unlike them to be this vulnerable, but tonight is special that way. It seems they’re both bound to air out all their grievances and moments of doubt.
“You can never disappoint me, mi vida.” He smiles. Rook likes that nickname right away. “And it’s not like there’s anyone else I could compare you with.”
“That doesn’t mean there aren’t years of expectations I have to live up to…”
“Rook… I really wasn’t - this whole thing is so unexpected to me - didn’t even know I could feel this way - I want you - just you - exactly as you are.”
He says it so earnestly that they believe him, and the kiss that follows that.
So much that they help him take their pants off faster.
He kneels between their legs, taking them all in, and Rook looks at the ceiling, letting them see but too scared to see his reaction.
Rook isn’t used to being this exposed.
Even during their brief slut phase in their early twenties, they have never been used to tenderness and candlelight.
Crows are used to the shadows anyway…
They don’t remember ever being spread out like this, fully naked, body and soul exposed and ready for the taking.
Rook doesn't even have a little bit of body hair to hide behind. He envied other races for that right now.
And though they trust Lucanis with their life, there’s still a voice in their head that tells them he might not like what he sees.
No, not Solas. Luckily, he’s gone. They really don’t want to share this with anyone but the three present parties.
“You’re the most beautiful person I’ve ever seen, Rein.”
Rook feels weak on their knees. Good thing they’re lying down.
“And I’m sorry if I ever made you feel otherwise.”
They keep looking at the ceiling. It’s easier to talk that way and blink back the tears. “It’s not you. The voices in my head get too loud sometimes.”
He scoffs as he hovers over Rook, coming into their field of vision. “I have some experience with that. Luckily I just discovered this great way to shut them up…” and his hand brushes against their core.
He’s right. It does silence all the voices in Rook’s head and they can only gasp.
“Oh?” It’s said in awe, as he spreads their wetness around.
All of Rook’s lame ass excuses die on their tongue as his fingers press more intently. They know they’re dripping and it just makes them feel more desperate to show him how much he’s affecting them. Rook stutters a breath and nods, encouragingly, answering silently, chasing his hand with their hips.
WET.
He grimaces. “Sorry.”
They cover his hand in theirs and add some pressure.
They're gaining some courage. “It’s okay. He’s right. D’you feel how wet I am? How wet you make me?”
“...Rook!” he says, a bit scandalized, blushing.
Rook cherishes any time they can make him blush.
His pupils are huge and he nods, mesmerized. “Mierda.”
Rook holds his hand and draws little circles, grinding a little against it, whimpering.
He can’t stop looking at them as he starts repeating the movement. “Rook? Would you-? Please show me.”
Rook nods vigorously and starts to guide his movements, slow at first, but in rhythmic circles, until they move lower and make him push a finger in.
He sinks in so easily, that they’ll blame his moan being louder than Rook’s to the surprise.
They move his hand so he starts pumping it in and out, but they can help get greedy and buck their hips meeting them in the middle.
Lucanis moves back a little, looking between where they’re joined in disbelief, and at Rook’s face to desperately drink every small expression, each noise and spasm, trying to understand what worked the best.
Rook spreads their legs further apart in the most wanton way they can, giving him access. He takes this to mean to add another finger, and he’s not wrong.
And excuse them, but Rook always likes to put on a bit of a show. They’ve never had issues verbalizing that, but this time it’s easier than ever because they don’t have to exaggerate any of it. He really is making them feel so many great things at once.
He seems to get the gist of it after a few minutes, so Rook lets go of his hand, confident that they’ll be able to guide him with words alone. And they hang onto his neck, needing him closer, breathing the same air.
It’s been a while, and having someone so focused on giving them pleasure it’s unfortunately a novelty for Rook. Knowing how much he cares, how loved he’s making them feel, the small sounds of pleasure he makes in response, are certainly overwhelming all of Rook’s senses.
And then, right when they’re starting to feel self-conscious again for making so much noise, Lucanis scoffs and laughs.
Again, Rook tries not to look offended right off the bat, but it’s hard to not feel vulnerable when they’re being this exposed.
And the pout evidently shows in their face because Lucanis stops his fingers, mortified, and quickly jumps into an explanation. “Sorry - is just - Spite is worried - he thinks I’m hurting you.”
It surprises them enough to make them laugh. “Oh - ughnn - not - not hurting - q-quite the opposite,” they say, directed at Spite, a bit breathless, but not wanting Lucanis to slow down.
“Yeah? Does this feel good?” He picks up the pace slightly and Rook mewls and grinds against his hand.
Rook grinds against his hand. “G-good - so good…” they whisper as they pant against his mouth.
They ask him to curve his fingers and he swallows their moans with a kiss.
He gives them about a minute of this and then he takes his hand away, which catches Rook off guard because it was getting really good, so they give him an unintended whine.
But they almost choke on air, as they see him pushing his fingers into his mouth and sucking them clean.
When he opens his eyes, they’re bright purple.
MORE!
Spite lowers down and puts his mouth all over them before they can even react. Rook laughs at first, mostly because he startles them, but also because it tickles.
He laps them like a dog and it feels funny at first but then it starts feeling good and soon they don't mind at all if he keeps going.
And then he changes into giving them small kisses over their folds and when Rook looks down it’s obvious that Lucanis is back, and a bit out of his depth.
But since he doesn’t immediately switch to using his fingers, they realize he’s determined to see this through, so they start offering some more soft guidance.
Rook moves their hands to his head, directing him, pointing where to apply pressure, where to lick, where to suck, when to use his fingers. He shoots them a quick smile, they think out of gratitude, and immediately complies.
Rook feels their face on fire, self-conscious from having to give all these instructions out loud and so clinically. But even though he’s blushing too, he’s a great listener, and for someone so stubborn, he responds beautifully to directions, so Rook gets over it pretty fast. It feels too good to be self-conscious.
He assaults their senses as his movements become more and more precise, focused on making them writhe and cry out.
His mouth is working wonders and Rook gets louder, unashamed, and too horny to care.
It’s been so long since anyone took care of them. Even longer since they actually got to feel something exciting and new.
They’ve always felt like they had to settle for whoever gave them a bit of attention, not having much time for a social life, so Rook had to learn the hard way that selfless lovers are not a dime a dozen.
Amid their commands, they shower him with compliments about his smart mouth, his clever tongue, his thick fingers. They’re babbling a little but he’s responding with noises that tell them to keep going.
They’re getting close, muscles tense and toes curled.
Lucanis is driving them crazy and they even grind a little against his face because it makes him groan like a madman.
Oh, I’m definitely going to ride your face one of these days.
The sound he makes then makes them realize they said that out loud. Probably not as eloquently, though, but who cares?! He sounds completely on board.
After that he gets ravenous and breathless and a bit all over the place. Like Rook is his last meal.
And who is Rook to deny him anything he wants?
Besides, the mental image of riding his face combined with the added desperation of his mouth gets them all the way over the edge and Rook comes with a shout.
They float on a cloud for a while, stars in their vision, all tensions relieved. And yet, they’re strangely revitalized. Like they just gained a few years back.
They look down and lock eyes with him. His hair is a mess from all the pulling, he is wiping off his beard and then lays his head against Rook’s hipbone.
“Holy shit!” Rook whisper-shouts.
“Yeah? Was that good?”
Rook laughs, humorously. “That was perfect. Thank you.”
“My pleasure, mi vida,” he says, unaware that he's licking his lips.
Rook sits properly on the chaise, and Lucanis remains lying down but moves his head to their lap. It’s a familiar pose, as they usually sit like this each time they read to him. Two minutes later his eyes are closing.
“Are you falling asleep?”
🥴🍆💦🥵❤🔥
They spend the next fifteen minutes talking about everything and nothing, finding some comfort in each other’s voices, whispering their deepest secrets into the late hours of the night.
And then Rook has the stray thought of realizing how loud they had been compared to their current tone of voice. “Oh, Maker, we were so loud before… We probably traumatized poor Manfred.”
He thinks for a moment before it dawns on him too. “Do you think everyone heard us?”
Rook snorts. “Definitely. We’re lucky most of the teams' rooms are outside. I really hope Emmrich doesn’t bring it up.”
He hides his face in shame, but his shoulders shake with laughter. “Maybe not to our faces…”
Rook shudders, knowing he’s probably right. “We got lucky Taash is sleeping in Harding’s room, or we’d never hear the end of it.”
“I think they did that on purpose.”
Rook raises an eyebrow.
“Taash might have… anticipated this. They spent the final hours before we pulled you out making every possible inappropriate joke they could think of. Some of those I had never heard before. And I grew up with Illario. You know that’s saying something…”
Rook chuckles and nods in agreement.
“They were just trying to distract me while we waited, and it worked, so…”
“Did you?”
“Did I what?”
“Anticipated this?” They bite their lip, smirking, trying to convey that if he did, they wouldn’t be mad.
He looks suddenly shy. “I mean - not really - I might have hoped - but I didn’t know if you would even want to…”
“Lu, I’ve never been accused of being subtle before… I’ve been aggressively throwing myself at you for months!”
He chuckles but grows somber. “I’m sorry to have kept you waiting…”
But Rook won’t hear it. “Oh, shush! As I said earlier we’re here now… Though I’m not opposed to making up for lost time.” He barely has time to give them a blinding smile before Rook pulls him up for a kiss as their hand sneaks down to cup him through his underwear.
They gasp as he hardens quite fast in their hands. “Oh, you recovered fast!” they say as they rub their hand up and down, and he hisses from sensitivity even if he pushes against it.
“What can I say? You’re such great motivation…” He smirks, and pulls Rook closer to him, softly kissing their neck. “It’s okay if you don’t want to -”
But Rook has been longing for this, and they don’t waste any time tackling him on his back and ripping both their underwear in a second, before straddling him once more.
His reaction is a bright smile, as he goes limp almost everywhere, entirely too on board with letting them have their way with him. It’s very flattering to see him give himself so openly, so trusting.
Rook is already planning to tie him up one of these days.
Oh, he’s going to look gorgeous.
They grind against him, and it’s a lot different now they’re naked, wet, and still sensitive, but they have to stop before they get too into it because they’ve been waiting to ride him for so long. They just can’t wait any longer.
Either way, Rook moves slowly, in case he has any objections.
They reach down, grab his cock and tease him a little bit by rubbing him straight on their entrance.
Lucanis raises his torso, laying on his forearms, mouth open, half intrigued, half hopeful expression on his face, waiting.
Even if he knew what was coming, you wouldn’t have been able to tell by his face. He looks at Rook in pure awe, as they slide down and get him deeper and deeper. The whole time his face is pure poetry.
He falls back and Rook bottoms out. The pressure is delicious and overwhelming. It makes them roll their eyes back.
They know they’re cursing but can’t be too sure what they say, too lost in the feeling to register it.
When Rook adjusts to the feeling, they plant their arms on his chest and start rotating their hips, slow at first, but quickly getting into it. Fucking him like there’s no tomorrow. Because there might not be, and they’ve waited enough.
Lucanis’ hands fly to their hips, and there’s a possibility he’s only hanging onto them to stop himself from flying away.
"Do you know how long I've been dreaming of having you under me, exactly like this, Lu? How many nights have I rubbed myself raw thinking of you?"
Lucanis was lost in ecstasy, insanely turned on by Rook’s words and the feeling of them completely enveloping him, unable to do anything but cry Rook’s name.
Here and there, Spite shines through, just to let them know how out of his depth but still very on board with everything that’s happening. It’s endearing, and again, a great motivation to keep going.
Not sure how long it’s been. Maybe it’s been minutes, maybe it’s been hours. Rook needs to slow down, to catch their breath, wanting to make sure this lasts a little bit longer.
Lucanis, who they would have sworn was a puddle against the couch, takes advantage of the change in rhythm to sit down and give them a kiss that makes it even harder to breathe normally again.
He stays there, almost chest to chest, sharing breath like he can't bear to be a second apart.
He hugs their waist and Rook throws their arms around his shoulders as they start moving again, slowly, deep, moving as one, foreheads touching, sharing soft kisses as they pant and swallow each other’s moans.
Rook wants to remember his face like this forever, scrunched up in pleasure, looking at them like they hanged the two moons. It makes Rook’s insides fizzle.
"I know what I said, but I don't think I can be quiet. But I really couldn't care less right now. They heard us already." They suck a bruise into his neck, and it sounds like Lucanis doesn't mind not being quiet either. When he doesn't respond, even as he keeps looking into their eyes, they ask “Are you okay?”
“I - I can’t - this feels - mierda - can’t even think.”
“Yeah?” They might have punctuated that with a gentle squeeze around his cock that makes him gasp.
Rook chuckles.
“A-are you okay, Amor?”
Amor! That… that’s new.
They nod and smile. “Never better…” And then a bit, not sure if they should ask or not. But when had Rook been good at shutting their mouth? “Is Spite okay?”
Lucanis gives them a soft smile and when he blinks, his eyes shine purple, just like he’s been summoned. This whole time they had the feeling that Spite has right there with them. Like he was barely under the surface.
ROOK WORRIES. ABOUT SPITE?
They try to slow down to a stop but Spite doesn’t let them.
DON’T STOP!
Rook chuckles, picks up the pace, and gives him a soft kiss.
Spite kisses back carefully. A lot more than they would have expected.
NO ONE. WORRIES. ABOUT SPITE.
“I do. You are okay, then?”
He just blinks in silence for a bit while Rook waits for his answer.
WARM.
FEELS. SO MUCH.
Rook hums in agreement. That sure was one way to put it.
“Good or bad feelings?”
GOOD.
ROOK. ALWAYS GOOD FEELINGS.
He looks at them with such devotion that Rook peppers him in kisses, making him do an awkward little giggle. It’s weirdly endearing coming from him.
“I’m glad. Let me know if it ever feels bad, okay?”
OKAY.
They hope he’s not going to use that power for evil, but it’s important to them that Spite knows they know he’s not collateral damage. He’s very much along for the ride. Especially because they don’t know how long their current situation will last and they haven’t really talked about this whole thing beforehand.
There’s a chance they’ll be fused for a long time, if not forever, and to say they’ve come to care about Spite too it’s an understatement.
OURS.
He bites their neck, probably imitating Lucanis, even if it’s on the verge of being too much but Rook has to admit they enjoy it more than they expected. So, in response, they end up letting themselves fall a little bit more backward and he bucks his hips up experimentally, discovering a deeper angle.
Rook can only chant yes over and over, but as they grow louder, he chases that, ending up at an impossible angle if it weren’t for his wings supporting them both.
He can see his eyes clearing and Lucanis’ taking over, as he hugs their waist and pounds into them, testing moving as one, while Spite holds them mid-air. He groans into Rook’s mouth while they can’t control their sounds anymore. They feel like they could vibrate out of their skin.
He groans a questioning warning, and Rook replies “Inside of me, please,” right on time, because three thrusts later he’s coming, and he grinds so hard against them, that it barely takes Rook any friction on their clit to follow him over the hill.
It’s a close to a religious experience Rook has ever had, at times feeling like they’re watching themselves from outside. As if the amount of output on their senses is almost too much to feel it all at once.
Spite’s wings close around them, as a hug, depositing them safely down into the chaise again as they still shake in the aftermath.
Their ears feel full of cotton for a bit, but they think they hear Lucanis say "Por la sangre del Hacedor”.
They agree so they pull him in for a kiss.
He melts into it, a little overwhelmed still but giving into the feeling.
They tentatively buck their hips, and get him to groan in their mouth.
Rook finally falls onto the side, bringing Lucanis down with them.
Together they’re a mass of sweat, heavy limbs, and panting breaths.
They admire him in the aftermath, once more, proud of the thick layer of sweat, several bruises near his neck, and every hair out of place because they were the ones to put them there.
In Rook's opinion, he keeps getting hotter by the minute.
Once they regain a bit of strength, they decide to check on him.
"Did you have fun?"
He snorts. “Fun? - Rook - that was... - well - yeah - I guess fun is one way to put it - yeah - but - is it - is it always like that?”
“Nope. In my experience, even in the best of cases, it’s not even close.”
“Oh. Really?”
They know it’s rhetoric. “Yes. Most of the people I’ve dated didn’t have wings.”
He snorts again. “Oh, I see. You only want me for Spite.”
Rook cackles. “Hey, credit where credit is due. You couldn’t have defied gravity without him.”
Lucanis nods, conceding.
“But I’m fairly fond of the host too. He definitely makes all the difference.”
He is starting to slip out, so Rook moves slowly, and he hisses softly when their bodies disconnect.
They get off the couch and grab a washcloth. They clean themselves thoroughly and throw the wet rag to Lucanis who was looking at them mesmerized, probably still getting used to seeing them naked.
And before they forget, they down three big sips of their contraception potion. It's been a long time since they got some, and though they still have a bottle and a half, they have a feeling they'll have to order more soon enough. That's going to be an interesting talk to have with Viago. They think they'll wait until Teia is nearby too, and it's just the two of them, so even if she teases them, she'll be on their side if Viago protests.
"Is that-?" Lucanis peeks from the chaise and Rook shows him the "No-babies-allowed elixir" label. He scoffs, "Viago thinks he's hilarious..."
Rook snorts. They chase it down with water, realizing they're parched, and hand Lucanis some too.
Before he can lie down again, they stop him and throw an old blanket over the seat, covering the wet patch they made, not wanting to sleep over it.
That's when they notice the blanket thrown under the chaise and pull it out.
It looks pretty new.
“Is this yours?”
Lucanis grabs it and wraps it around both of you. “Yes - no - I - I made it for you.”
“What?!”
“I told you. I needed to do something with my hands. Cooking wasn’t enough.”
“Wow. I - really? No one has ever made me something like this before... I love it! Thanks!” They kiss both his cheeks and go back to admiring the blanket. “2 orgasms AND a handmade blanket? Is it my nameday?! What did I ever do to deserve that?”
He grabs their face so tenderly, looks them in the eyes, and earnestly says “You came back to me.”
