Chapter Text
Bucky was roused from sleep by a sharp pain in his cheek. Groaning softly, he opened his eyes, silently willing his brain to start working. The room was still dark, but he wasn't worried - no one could have gotten into the compound without permission.
Barely any moonlight filtered through the curtains from outside, but there was enough to allow Bucky's enhanced vision to make out most of the details of his room, along with the shadowy figure standing over him.
"Steve?" Bucky mumbled, voice still thick with sleep.
Steve slapped him again, "Wake up."
"Why? What's wrong? Why are you in my room? What's the time?" Bucky tried to sit up but Steve forced him back down.
"You have one job from now on." Steve said and leaned down to whisper in Bucky's ear, " ."
"Steve- what- I don't understand. What are you doing?"
Steve rested his palm against Bucky's cheek, "You know what I'm doing. You're going to have just one job from now on - please me."
"I won't-"
"You said you'd never hurt me."
"That wasn't me."
"What do you mean it wasn't-"
Bucky screamed, trying to push Steve away, but the sound quickly cut off as Steve's hand found its way to his neck, pressing hard.
"You're going to forget everything, Bucky, until all you know is that you need to please me. It'll be so easy, won't it?"
Bucky stared up at him, trapped beneath Steve's body and unable to speak.
"." Steve's smile widened, "."
Bucky went still, already halfway to being a prisoner within his own body again. Steve eased up slightly to allow air to rush back into Bucky's lungs.
"You don't think," Bucky gasped and coughed as he spoke, "that they didn't try to make me forget?"
"Oh, I'm well aware. I know all they could do was bury them, but last time it was me who broke the conditioning. With me as your captor, who will do that this time? ."
For a moment, the only sound in the room was Bucky's ragged breathing as he struggled against the conditioning.
"You were right not to trust the Wakandans. As wonderful as their security is, there is still a mole with them. Just one would have been enough."
Tears slid down Bucky's temples as he lay there, muscles locked. "Steve," he whispered, "why?"
"I want you, Bucky. I think you'd be pretty as my slave, you know?"
"But I said I wasn't-"
"Yeah, yeah," Steve interrupted, "You don't love me like that. This way you won't struggle with that. I'll make you love me." He circled the tip of one finger around Bucky's lips.
On any other, it would have been a sweet action, perhaps even an arousing one with the right person, but like this... it made Bucky want to throw up.
He wasn't even sure if he would be able right now.
". Oh Bucky," Steve cooed as Bucky's heart rate and breathing sped up, "you're so beautiful when you struggle. ."
The words always stole away his words as they were said, but Bucky still tried to speak. "Steve, no! I c'n fall 'n love withou' this."
Steve gently moved Bucky's arms up past the former assassin's head. "I don't trust that you will. ."
"Please, Stevie."
Silent tears flowed down the sides of Bucky’s head as he fell completely still at last. " ."
