Chapter Text
A flash of red and blue lights collided, the hiss of the blades appearing as the two warriors try to push back the other. After a moment, both fighters leap back. Of the two, only the smaller one is panting, exhaustion visible on her blindfolded face. Her silver-white hair cascading down her back as she tries to stay standing up right. Her once expensive outfit replaced with plain, tan robes. She felt weird having to put aside her normal choice of clothes, but they won't protect her as her Aura can barely protect her from blasters, let alone Lightsabers.
This woman is Weiss Schnee, and how she found herself here is what she is trying to figure out. Across from her were two others, An elderly woman wearing baggy robes and much younger woman with shoulder length aubrun hair.
"Your are distracted" said the elderly womans voice "You must clear your mind, focus on the task at hand. I know you do so with the Iridonian and the Fool."
Gritting her teeth, Weiss forced herself to stand up right. Placing her right foot foward, but not too much, her raised her blue Lightsaber outward like she would've with her old weapon Myrtenaster.
She should be thankful, she thought to herself, that these weapons are set to training mode. She's seen what they can do on their regular settings. She'll never be able to forget the scent of burnt flesh, or the screams. Shaking her head, she tries to clear her mind and focus on the training.
"While I agree that Weiss needs to keep a clear head" came a much younger voice, her friend Meetra Surik spoke "Please bear in mind that it's not easy for someone who has never felt The Force before learn to trust it."
"And should that require a gentle hand? Require that we wait on her? No, she wishes to learn of The Force. So we should treat her no differently"
Turning to Weiss, Kreia regarded her harshly.
"To understand The Force, you will have to unlearn everything you have been taught on your planet. Unlearn all that you thought you knew. You've spoken about how you trust your teammates? Your friends? They are not here to help you, so you MUST trust in yourself. Rely on yourself, for only you can decide if you will weild The Force."
Weiss has put up with a LOT of Kreia's criticisms these few months, but this is truly getting on her nerves. How is she supposed to trust something she doesn't understand. She's seen Meetra throw Her lightsaber, raise her hand to the sky and summon down torrents of lightning, somehow MAKE HER FASTER. To top it all off, both Meetra and Kreia blindfolded her! She's gotten lucky so far, simply using her ears to find where Meetras blade will be. Luck, however, always runs out.
Hearing Meetra shift into her ready stance, Weiss kicks off. Thrusting her lightsaber forward, she feels her wrist turn as she hears the hum of Meetra's blade quicken. Stepping into the turn, Weiss realigns her blade and thrusts again. Weiss feels her weapon get hammered down, causing her to fall forward, the sudden shift of her center of gravity assisting her descent.
Knowing that she can't stop it, she tries to follow through into a roll. Quickly springing to her feet, Weiss turns around, slashing at the sound of her opponents lightsaber. She made contact, only for her to be launched away. The sound of her weapon shutting off as both she and it bounced off the dirt of the farmworld they were on.
The sound of footsteps and the hum of Meetra's red blade quicked as she went for another strike.
(overhead) she thought? How could she block it?! She lost her weapon (To the right, extend hand and will it towards you) Where ever these thoughts are coming from, Weiss didn't know. In her panic she reached her hand out. Feeling something hit it, she brought it over her prone form, and ignited the blade just as Meetra's came down. The hiss of two opposing Lightsabers told her that she blocked it, but how?
"Congradulations, Weiss" Meetra said "You've used The Force. Take off your blindfold."
She used The Force? How? Cautiously, she reached up tugged the sweat addled fabric away from her eyes. After a moment of readjusting, they widened. In her hand, a brilliant blue blade shining from the hilt was the Lightsaber she was training with. Meetra's crimson blade pressing against hers, as her mentor looked PROUD.
That's when she realized that she knew where Atton was, (Behind the wall, watching through the cracks). Where Bao Dur was (In the house, working on the power systems). She could feel where everything was now. She could even feel her Lightsaber, despite the awkward size it was for her.
"Now, we'll take a few moments to alter your already studious studying seesions to include Jedi Learning." Meetra said, laughing lightly as she said that "How ever, the easist thing to do right now is to go get your crystal. There is a crystal cave not too far from here, I'll help you get there but you'll have to find the right crystal yourself. Trust in The Force, and you'll find it in no time."
Trust in The Force? Like she did when she pulled her training weapon to her. It must've been The Force telling her where it was, and in that moment she had no choice but to trust it.
"Trust The Force, I think I can do that." Weiss said "After all, when a Schnee commits to somthing, we never back away from it."
Meetra nodded at that, nodding her head where the ship was docked. "Go use the refresher and get cleaned up. We'll build your lightsaber soon."
Her own Lightsaber. She'll have to alter the design a little, make it something to surpass Myrtenaster. She can't help but feel saddened at the loss of it. Only the Dust Chamber was left of it after Nar Shadaa. Wait...
"Why did you blindfold me during this?" Weiss asked
"When one is in touch with The Force, one may find that their eyes can deceive them." Kreia answered "By removing something that most other would consider important, you would be force to rely on your other senses. Doing so eventually led you to connecting to The Force."
