Mitch HC's
After his first bee, he realizes a lot of the kids that sign up are from troubled homes or have issues, so he starts a weekly support group meeting/a help group where he can give the kids advice and care, as well as sneakily make sure they're not being hurt at home, and if they are, they have a support system. He has almost been sent to jail a couple times for *almost* fighting parents that hurt their kids; however, he avoids this by using grounding skills he learned to teach the kids.
A mostly straight man (he's kissed a man or five back in college and in jail), he's happy to use he/him pronouns but is accepting of every single queer label you can think of. Logainne and Leaf introduce him to xeno/neopronouns, which he struggles to learn but does so for one of the kids in his group.
He's THE adult kids go to for safety and care; he's the community dad, and everyone loves him. He might not be the cuddliest person or the softest guy around, but if there's a kid who needs some love, he'll be the first to go and find them with a juice box, a hug, and a listening ear.
He eventually adopts a rescue 2-year-old German Shepherd/Lab mix that he asks Leaf to train into a therapy animal. The dog's name is Sprout and he is in every meeting to help the kids feel comfortable.
He basically 'fosters' a lot of the kids with the help of a group of helpful bikers that 2 of his best friends back in jail introduced him to. As well as donations from Lisa Perettie after she makes it rich and other people that know just how awesome he is to the kids.
The 25th APCSB gang meets up at his house whenever they can, and they more often than not help lead or participate in meetings. Even after they become adults, they always come see Mitch and Sprout whenever they're around.
