Love beyond tattoo

Summary:

"Maybe I should get a new tattoo," Aventurine's voice laced with a playful tone. "A tattoo of your name on my neck. That way, everyone will know that I belong to you. Topaz slave."

Work Text:

Aventurine and Topaz prepared for a restful night.  Aventurine lay on the bed, his bare torso exposed, revealing a slender yet muscular build. His skin, a pale canvas, bore a single word tattooed on the side of his neck—a bold proclamation of his past. The word 'slave' was etched, constant reminder of his struggles.

Topaz sat beside him. Her eyes, sparkled with a mixture of affection and concern as she observed Aventurine. She noticed a subtle twitch in Aventurine's hand, a familiar gesture he often when he was about to move his hand. Unbeknownst to him, his fingers were inching towards the tattoo on his neck, as if drawn to it by an invisible force.

In a swift motion, Topaz reached out and gently grasped his hand, her touch soft and reassuring. "You were about to scratch your neck again," she said, her voice laced with tenderness.

Aventurine, startled by her sudden action, turned to face her, his eyes widening in surprise. "Oh, was I? I didn't even realize it," he admitted, a hint of embarrassment creeping into his voice.

Topaz smiled "It's okay, Aventurine. You tend to do that from time to time." Her words were like a soothing balm, easing the tension that had built up within him.

A moment of silence passed between them, filled with unspoken understanding and connection. Then, Aventurine's eyes lit up with a mischievous spark, a glint that hinted at a daring idea forming in his mind.

“Maybe I should get a new tattoo,” he said suddenly, his voice carrying that teasing lilt she knew so well. “A tattoo of your name on my neck. That way, everyone will know that I belong to you. Topaz’s slave.”

The words hung in the air, light and playful, yet tinged with something that made Topaz’s heart stutter. She turned to him, half exasperated, half flustered. “Please, don’t do that,” she said, her tone gentle but steady.

Aventurine’s grin widened for a moment, clearly enjoying her reaction, but he still studied her face with quiet interest. “Why not?” he asked, tilting his head, the glint in his golden eyes softening. “You don’t like the idea of me belonging to you?”

Her breath caught at the way he said it, the teasing melting into something far more intimate. “It’s not that,” she murmured, her hand brushing his arm. “People say that when you tattoo someone’s name on your body, it’s a bad omen. A sign that the relationship is doomed to fail.”

Aventurine chuckled lowly, the sound warm and rich in the quiet room. But when he noticed the concern in her eyes, his smile faded, replaced by curiosity. “Do you really believe that?” he asked softly. His voice lost its usual teasing edge, replaced with a sincerity that made her chest tighten.

Topaz hesitated, her gaze lowering to his chest where the faint outline of his existing tattoos peeked through his shirt. She thought of how much meaning each one must carry for him, how his body told stories through ink and scars.

“I don’t know,” she admitted at last, her voice barely above a whisper. “Maybe I just don’t want to test fate. I don’t want anything to go wrong with us. Not because of something foolish like that.”

Aventurine studied her for a long moment, then reached out and brushed a strand of hair from her face. “You really think a bit of ink could decide what happens to us?” he murmured, his tone soft but still laced with that familiar charm. “I think we’re stronger than that, Topaz.”

Her lips curved into a small smile, touched by his confidence. “You might be right,” she said quietly. “But humor me, alright? No tattoos with my name.”

He smirked and leaned closer, his voice dropping to a whisper. “Fine. No tattoos. I’ll just carve your name right here.” He tapped his chest lightly, over his heart. “Invisible ink. Permanent enough.”

Topaz felt her cheeks warm, her heart fluttering at his words. “You’re impossible,” she said, shaking her head with a faint laugh.

“I know,” Aventurine replied, smiling in that lazy, self-assured way that made her fall for him all over again.

Topaz leaned forward. She gently caressed Aventurine's neck, her fingers tracing the contours of his tattoo, as if to reassure him that it was a part of his past, a chapter in his life that had closed.

Aventurine closed his eyes, relishing the sensation of her touch, a gentle reminder of her love and acceptance. He pulled her closer, his arms wrapping around her waist, and pressed his lips to her forehead. "I don't need a tattoo to know that I'm yours," he whispered, his breath warm against her skin. "But there's something I've been longing for."

Topaz's heart quickened at his words, a sense of anticipation building within her. "What is it?" she asked, her voice laced with curiosity and desire.

Aventurine's eyes sparkled with a playful gleam once more. "I want you to kiss my neck," he said, his voice low and husky. "Kiss it, lick it, bite it. I don't care. As long as it's your touch, your love marking me, I'll be content."

Topaz's cheeks flushed with desire as she leaned in, her lips brushing against his neck. She felt the warmth of his skin, the subtle scent of his cologne, and the steady beat of his pulse beneath her lips. With gentle urgency, she kissed the spot just below his tattoo, her lips leaving a trail of sensation that made Aventurine shiver.

"Mmm, that feels incredible," he murmured, his hands running through her hair, encouraging her to continue.

Topaz obliged, her lips moving along his neck, leaving a path of kisses and gentle bites. She savored the taste of his skin, the saltiness of his sweat, and the sweetness of his essence. Her hands roamed over his chest, exploring the contours of his muscles, as if to imprint his form into her memory.

Aventurine arched his back, surrendering to the pleasure coursing through his body. "Yes, Topaz," he breathed, his voice hoarse with desire. "Keep kissing me. Mark me as yours."

Topaz smiled against his skin, her lips moving in a slow, sensual rhythm. She kissed, licked, and gently nibbled on his neck, leaving her mark, a silent declaration of her love and possession.

As the night deepened, their passion intensified. Topaz's kisses became more fervent, her hands exploring every inch of his body, claiming him as her own. Aventurine responded with equal fervor, his hands roaming over her curves, his lips seeking hers in a hungry kiss.

They forgot about the world beyond their bedroom walls. The worries and doubts of the day melted away, replaced by the raw, unfiltered connection they shared.

As their lips parted, breathless and satisfied, Topaz rested her head on Aventurine's chest, listening to the steady beat of his heart. "I'll keep on kissing your neck if it makes you feel better," she whispered, her voice laced with adoration. "But know this, Aventurine, you don't need a tattoo to prove your devotion. I see it in your eyes, feel it in your touch. You are mine, and I am yours."

Aventurine tightened his embrace, holding her close, his heart overflowing with gratitude and love. "And I will always be yours," he vowed, his voice filled with unwavering conviction. "No tattoo can ever replace the love we share, the bond that keeps us together. Our love is our mark, and it will endure."

In that moment, as they lay entwined, their hearts beating as one, they knew that their love was not bound by ink or words, but by the unbreakable connection they had forged. Their journey together would be one of passion, growth, and unwavering devotion, a love story that defied the odds and transcended the limits of the physical world.

They drifted off to sleep, their hearts intertwined, ready to face the world anew, together.
