Chapter Text
Valex sat at the bus stop, waiting for the rain to halt it's endless tears. Valex plugged in his earphones, enjoying the weather, yet slightly annoyed at the fact his hair was wet now because of the sudden downpour.
Valex spots Crowe, waving casually, making room for the man to sit.
"What are you doing here?" Valex asks, attempting to make his tone more on a friendly side rather than an exasperated one that he usually uses, surprising Crowe for a moment, before receiving a small smile.
"I found a cat," Crowe held the wet, black cat in his arms, wrapping the feline with his purple vest he took off earlier, "poor thing's drenched."
Valex holds out a hand to pet the black ball of wet fur, only to hiss in slight pain when said ball of fire scratches his palm. Valex bit his lip, looking at the faint scar. "..little shit..-"
Crowe looks over Valex's now turned back, concerned for the man. "Are you alright? Let me take a look." Crowe offers gently, careful. Crowe's eyes dropped slightly at the scar. "This should be fine, make sure to get a vaccine, after all, we never know where this cat may have been."
Valex opens his drenched bag, pulling out a bandage he received from the nurse's office earlier that day (for completely normal reasons, totally). Valex places the band aid on his palm, careful.

The rain stopped after a while, earning a sigh from Valex. Today has been tiring; meeting Crowe's friends, meeting Sol, embarrassing himself and Sol (which he was sure Sol would most likely kill him hours before) by sitting on his lap, actually befriending Sol, meeting Hyugo, getting drenched in the rain, and getting scratched by a stray cat.
Crowe smiles, "I'll take my leave now, get home safely, alright Valex?" "I'll try," Valex replies quietly.
Valex stood up, waving goodbye before walking to his usual home back home. It was dark out now, and he swore someone was following him. Valex looked over his shoulder throughout the walk, becoming paranoid.
He slightly quickened his pace, slipping slightly at the puddle he failed to notice existed in his path. He groaned, wiping the water off his ass. His eyes closed at the bright light of a car that approaches him, the driver's window opening. "Need a ride?," the man asked genuinely.
'Felix Astraios,' Valex recalls, before speaking calmly. "Thank you, but I'll pass." He hears a disappointed whine in the back seat, coming from a girl. "You're so boring, Val!" Nyx whines, puffing her cheeks. "Squirrel," Valex spat out, earning an exaggerated gasp from Nyx. Felix simply chuckled, before unlocking the door.
"Get in, you buffoon. Felix's driving ya home, just tell him your address." Nyx spoke persuasively. 'It does sound better than walking,' Valex weighed the pros and cons in his head, before letting out an exhausted sigh, opening the back seat door and going inside.
