Wolf in Sheep's Clothing

Summary:

Reality started kicking in about Nam-gyu’s only viable chance to start his life over having been destroyed by these goddamned cockroaches who voted X.
It’s not like he had actual intentions to change his ways like getting clean or whatever but with 45.6 Billion he could have lived a lush life with luxurious parties, as many drugs as he wanted, when he wanted, probably enough to overdose and die a thousand times, and no one being on his ass about anything.
The mere thought about the chance for a life like this having been taken away from him made him want to punch someone.
For a brief second, the pathetic face of Min-su flashed through his mind.

That fucker in particular had ruined everything by turning against him and Thanos, who were nothing but nice to him by pulling his weight when no one else would have bothered with his sorry existence otherwise. And yet he decided to betray their trust, just so he could get in good graces of that stupid bitch whats-her-face , who had also been dead weight from the start. Nam-gyu swore that if he ever saw any of those two in his life ever again, he’d kill them for sure.

Chapter 1: New Beginnings

Notes:

I was so sad about there being no fics of the two with Min-su as a top, and I had some ideas anyway, so I couldn't help writing this.
A few disclaimers:
-This is set in an AU where the games actually ended before the riots and everything happened
-The fic isn't explicit yet and there's no rape in chapter 1 but there definitely will be in chapter 2.
-Nam-gyu talks about Min-su in a super mean spirited way cause that's just the kinda guy he is, it's not meant to be viewed as character hate
-I tagged it as Thangyu because there are mentions of the two having history, Nam-gyu is EXTREMELY thirsty for Thanos' huge dick and there might be some scenes in future chapters, but the main ship with be with him and Min-su!
-Obvious drug and suicide mentions, probably nothing new or shocking if you like these characters
-Just saying that this MIGHT not be finished, I don't know yet. I have a thousand ideas but only very limited spare time ._. but I'll try to write a lot if enough people like it!
-Other than the obvious ones, this fic contains themes like stalking and is going to contain stuff like humiliation, black mail, mindbreak, forced drugging, explicit violence and psychological abuse so you know how it goes, dont like, dont read

(See the end of the chapter for more notes.)

Chapter Text

After the third game ended and the players had voted to forfeit, the games were officially concluded and Nam-gyu found himself dumped somewhere at the side of a road when he woke up.

His eyelids were heavy, arms tied up behind his back with rope, but he tried his best to keep them open as he slowly woke up. He made an attempt to gather his thoughts while lifting his upper body so he could sit up and look at his surroundings. According to the street signs he was somewhere in Seoul but he couldn't recognize the area. Eh, he was gonna figure out how to get somewhere else eventually, it wasn't like he had to be somewhere anyway.

If there had been someone nearby, he would have tried holding back his loud sigh but there was nobody who could hear it, so he let it out. No one being around was fine with Nam-gyu since he was in a very roughed up shape, abrasions on his body with his clothes slightly torn up and his hands tied. He couldn’t risk someone seeing him like this, he had an appearance to uphold after all…

As if.

Using techniques he had learned from various nightclub activities, he managed to undo the rope around his wrists. The skin where the rope was tied just seconds ago was red and bruised, his arms sore from being held in place for what had probably been a long time.
He got into a comfortable position, propping his hands up behind him and threw his head back to gaze at the grey, cloudy sky, his memories about what had happened coming back to him.

The players had voted 50 to 49 in favor of forfeiting their right to participate in the games and the money they had earned in the three games was split between the remaining players. Nam-gyu could not remember the exact amount but it was a meager sum, not nearly enough to make do for even a year, let alone pay off all his debts.
Reaching into his left pocket, he found a debit card inside that he didn't recognize as his so figured that it probably belonged to a bank account which had been set up for him in order to access the prize money.
He made a mental note to hold on to it and try using it on an ATM as soon as possible but for now, he was still trying to collect his thoughts and get them in order.

He didn't understand why Thanos had to invite more teammates in the first place, especially losers such as them. Hadn't Nam-gyu been enough for him? They would have easily dominated the games and gone home together, though he still wasn't sure if he wouldn't have just killed Thanos instead so that he could have doubled the prize money.
It’s not like the guy really cared that much about him, he didn't even bother to remember his name after all. Still, Nam-gyu had some fun while they were together and the sex was great too. Now all that was left of that fun was an empty feeling in his heart, the credit card (allegedly) belonging to an account with money he was likely gonna blow within a few months and the fading high of the pills he did with Thanos.

“...”

Nam-gyu had figured out why he was so mopey and feeling restless, he was about to sober up!

With the games concluded and Thanos being god-knows-where, he was on his own again and he couldn't stand that feeling more than anything. He would probably be able to track him down somewhere in the city, likely in the club, as soon as he regained his footing, it’s not like Thanos would keep a low profile or anything.
Contemplating whether this urge to look for him was about seeing Thanos again or for the pills, he came to the conclusion that it was most definitely about the pills. After all, the dynamic between the two wouldn’t be the same in the outside world.

Thanos wouldn't have to use Nam-gyu, who was willing and couldn't get pregnant, to relieve his urges and Nam-gyu wouldn't have to play along with Thanos’ mood swings to score drugs from him.
In the outside world, Thanos could just buy condoms to fuck girls every night, without having to worry about needing to pay alimony at some point and Nam-gyu could just go through his contact list of dealers who hadn't blocked him yet to chase his next high.
It just wouldn't be the same and both would probably grow bored of each other within like a week.

Now those pills, however, Nam-gyu would probably never get bored of, it really was some good stuff.
Thanos the idiot may have never divulged to him what kind of pills they were, except repeating that it’s “super crazy shit, man, you can’t handle it yo ” everytime Nam-gyu had tried to ask him, but he was sure he could find something just like it again, he had enough connections.

Nam-gyu shuddered as he felt a light breeze on his naked skin where his clothes were torn. With his high having worn off completely, he had started to feel cold. He decided to get up and look for a way to get to some place he could withdraw the money from.
As he walked, he fumbled for his flip phone inside his other pocket and lucky for him, he found it and it even still had some battery left. Scrolling through the contact list, he stopped on a random name and typed up a text message while walking towards some buildings in the distance, absentmindedly humming some melody that he remembered from somewhere until he realized a few moments later that said melody had been the hook to one of Thanos’ rap tracks. Upon realizing, his mood immediately dropped even more and he stopped.

Maybe he would have some coke tonight, as a treat.

Nam-gyu subconsciously started touching his long, black hair, letting the strands run through his fingers in an attempt to soothe himself.
When he got bored of that, he alternated between taking a drag of his lit cigarette and sipping from a glass of vodka redbull. He wasn’t particularly fond of the drink but figured the sugar in there would help him not to faint since he hadn't really been eating well lately, or rather, he hadn’t been eating at all.
He was restless and stressed, heart beating fast and cold sweat running down his exposed forehead, despite it being a slow day and nothing really going on.
The loud music that was playing inside the bar, some kind of club music, didn’t even reach his brain and only faded into muffled background noise. Something about it felt lonely, even if the room was filled with people.

It's been approximately two months since Nam-gyu had been dumped on the street after participating in not one, but three life-or-death games for money.
Said money had turned out to be ₩356000000 deposited on a bank account he was able to access with the debit card that he found in his pocket. Not as much as the 45.6 billion that were figuratively snatched from him when the other half of the players had voted to end the games prematurely, but still a sum that would normally enable most ordinary people to do a 180 degree turn on their life.

For Nam-gyu it had been more like a 360 degree turn, as he was now pretty much back to where he left off before participating in the games, his debt still racking up with interest increasing every day, without a proper apartment and forced to rent a hotel room in some rundown motel on most nights, awake for multiple days without food, high off his ass for pretty much the entire time and most importantly, no money to his name.

Where had the money gone? Most of it went to his dealers, some of it to the hotel rooms he rented out, some minor spending and gambling here and there, but none of it went to the debt weighing him down.
He had actually been pretty close to killing himself to just get it over with, but had always chickened out at the last moment for some reason or another.
Thus he figured he might as well sit and wait for the inevitable and at least go out with a bit of fun, seeing stars and feeling as if wrapped in cotton, caused by whatever he would have in his system at the time.

However, no matter which substances he combined and how much he had, it just did not happen. He felt stupid anticipating his death like that, after all he had made it a point to not actively do anything and just sit and wait, but as time was going by, his funds dwindled and worst of all, his resistance to the substances increased, taking him forever to get high and even feel any effects.

A vicious cycle.

In his current state of restlessness, none of his previous methods of self-soothing were working anymore, so he did the least soothing thing he could do and checked his wallet while nervously tapping his fingers on the counter and with cold sweat still running down his skin.
After looking around him nervously, he looked inside and found about 680K in cash, the remainder of what was left of his blood money. The separate compartment behind the cash hid a small bag with two pills of ecstasy.
It was all he had left and not nearly enough to get him properly high anymore, but he was hoping it could at least help soothe his anxiety somewhat.

The money he had left was enough for him to buy more but he wouldn’t be able to last long with that, so he had been pretty much microdosing for the past few days, enough to make him not lose his mind but not enough to get high or even just drown out unpleasant thoughts and feelings.

Nam-gyu sighed and put the two pills in his mouth, toying around with them with his pierced tongue before chewing them.
While his mouth was occupied, he took out his phone and checked the time. It was about 5 to midnight, so he knew his first “date” of the evening should be here soon enough.

Before he left for the games, he had quit his job as a promoter at the club in anticipation of returning as a multi-billionaire.
When he tried showing up there again two weeks prior, the position had already been filled by someone else. The salary would have not been enough to fix his problems but the position at the club would at least have given him some potential party favours, which would have been more than enough for him to get by.
But since he was out of luck, he had to look for other options and with “normal” jobs, which mostly had some kind of drug testing policy or were paid even worse than being a promoter, being out of the question, he saw no other way than to sell his body.

The idea came to him when he had been feeling lonely and touch-starved either way, so it was basically like killing two birds with one stone.

To Nam-gyu, it was the easiest job in the world. All he had to do was list his profile on some dodgy website, text with whatever old guy wanted to have him, meet up with him somewhere, have him rent a room and suck his dick for an hour or offer up his ass for an extra charge – easiest ₩300000 ever.
He had no qualms about having other men fuck him for money, some years ago when he was even younger he had already done a few gigs like that here and there and he enjoyed the attention the men gave him. The only thing bothering him was the way he knew exactly how to sell himself, he knew he was pretty, how he had to look at those men to maybe give him a tip. It made him feel like some trashy woman and he hated nothing more than those.
Still, it was a sacrifice he was willing to make, at least for the time being.

As long as he did two or three of those dates a night, he would be able to easily afford his hotel room and any amount of pills, crystals or whatever he wanted, so he didn’t mind.
Whoring himself out to strangers every night in hopes of affording enough drugs to finally overdose wasn’t the most glamorous way to go, but it’s not like he cared anymore.

While he waited for the other guy to arrive, he inadvertently thought about Thanos and what he would be doing right now. Nam-gyu had actually tried to track him down a few times but it seemed like he vanished from the face of the earth, no one at the club he had frequented before had seen him and his online activity had been pretty much zero for a while now.
Nam-gyu wouldn’t be caught dead admitting to himself that actually, he sort of missed that volatile piece of work but there was something that left him yearning regardless.

It was kind of sad to admit, but that time they spent at the games together, the adrenaline from being only a hair’s breadth away from death, the dopamine release when their team won a game, the thrill of following every of Thanos’ footsteps and never knowing what he’d do next, the sex that lasted for hours and often involved Thanos choking him out, the drugs…
It was a feeling that, having experienced it, left him empty inside, now that he knew he could never have anything quite like it ever again.

Speaking of the drugs, he had indeed not found anything on the market like those mystery pills ever since he got out, no matter who he asked or where he looked. That was the main reason he had been trying to get a hold of Thanos to begin with.
Well and if, after getting the intel on who could permanently hook him up with that stuff out of him, Thanos maybe ended up fucking him silly with his large cock, Nam-gyu wouldn’t mind either.

Feeling himself getting flustered by his own imagination, he wanted to check his phone again to pass time when someone lightly tapped his shoulder.
As soon as he turned around, he could not believe his own eyes and didn’t even know how to react, so he just stood there dumbfounded and stared for what felt like a minute.

The guy who tapped his shoulder, presumably the same guy whom he texted with earlier to arrange a paid date that was supposed to end with sex, was none other than the weak, pathetic, pitiful joke of a human being whose betrayal got Nam-gyu into this slump in the first place.

Park Min-su looked back at him and weakly raised his hand as if trying to greet and wave at him but changed his mind mid-motion so he quickly put his hand back down, averting his eyes from Nam-gyu and instead looking at the ground somewhere next to him.

God, how he hated this embarrassing son of a bitch.
He truly made his blood boil.
If there hadn’t been too many witnesses, with them being in the middle of a crowded nightclub, Nam-gyu could have killed him right there and then, with his bare hands.

Meanwhile Min-Su, who was still looking down at the ground and fidgeting with his hands, unaware he had just closely avoided death, looked like he was about to say something.
Nam-gyu could not muster up any more patience for the cockroach in front of him and finally broke the silence.

“Yo, Min-su, long time no see~ What a coincidence meeting you here, you don’t look like a club person to me!”

With a smile that did not reach his eyes, Nam-gyu put an arm around him, mistakenly acting out his carefree, buddy-buddy demeanor he had to maintain with Min-su while Thanos was around so he would not lash out at him for ruining the team spirit or whatever.
When Nam-gyu noticed his slip up he kept his arm around his shoulder but his smile faded completely and he narrowed his eyes, asking “...What did you want from me?”

Min-su was startled by the sudden touch and proximity and Nam-gyu could see him swallowing hard, stumbling over his words even more than he had before.
See, this kind of parade was the only asset Min-su brought to the table. Nam-gyu knew exactly which buttons to push on a person like that to make them do whatever he wanted and it made him feel so powerful.
Therefore, even though he had mused about killing him before, he figured that he could at least have some fun again once in a while, maybe make him trip and fall or something, or just watch and cringe at the level of awkwardness Min-su already brought with him without any external influence.
Maybe it was due to the pills from earlier kicking in and he was just being overly euphoric but the prospect of having fun like this made Nam-gyu kind of excited, perhaps more than he had been in the past weeks.

“W…we texted earlier…”

It was barely audible thanks to the club’s loud music but he finally said something. Unfortunately, it confirmed Nam-gyu’s earlier suspicion that the guy who arranged the sex date with him was indeed this guy. He shuddered internally, still not really believing that the awkward mess in front of him would have been able to text explicit messages with him back and forth. Maybe he had used a chatting tool or something? Hadn’t that nerd been good with computers or whatever? Not that he cared.
Hell, he had asked Nam-gyu for explicit photos too, even willing to pay a few extra bucks for them! Which means, while he himself had not been aware he was talking to someone he knew since they used online aliases, there was no way Min-su hadn’t known it was him, at least not after receiving the photos.
And yet, instead of blocking Nam-gyu and never talking about this to anyone ever again, he had the nerve to actually show up in person. He felt equal amounts of surprise and disgust at this revelation but kept up his act.

“Heh. Didn’t know you had those kinds of hobbies. If you wanted to hit it this badly, you could have just said so while we were still there, you know”, Nam-gyu said while getting close to Min-su’s ear, making sure the other could feel his breath, and jokingly running his index finger along his shoulder in a slow, circling motion.

Min-su was startled again, his complexion changing into a color so red you could see it despite the flashing lights and the room being pretty dark.
When Nam-gyu got the reaction he wanted, his expression went neutral and he shoved a still stunned and visibly sweating Min-su away from him, making him stumble a little.

“...Just kidding.”

This was the way things usually were between them, except Nam-gyu’s fun with bullying had usually always been spoiled by Thanos butting in and going off about the team needing to stick together and Nam-gyu not being in a position to bully Min-su because they were the same age, or something like that.
It had always seemed a little dumb to Nam-gyu, like most things Thanos was spouting. He was taller, smarter and stronger than Min-su, not counting the fact that the other wasn’t even able to hold normal conversations without looking away, so in conclusion, he bested him in every category.
Why give a shit about who was born first?

While Nam-gyu was looking forward to the prospect of finally being able to torment the other on his own terms, Min-su still looked perplexed, visibly contemplating about how he should react to everything that was happening. But he regained his footing quicker than the first time and spoke.

“I wasn’t really trying… anything like that. Sorry if it was creepy for you… I just wanted to talk.”

Well, it sure was creepy, alright. But pretty much everything about this dude’s demeanor was creepy, so it’s not like that was anything new. Talking, though? About what?

Nam-gyu swiftly replied: “Look, Min-su, you’re a great guy ( to bully ) and all and you’re fun to have around ( as a laughingstock ) but I’m pretty sure our arrangement ended together with the game, especially after you backstabbed us? ( you little shit! )”

He had hoped, weak-minded pushover that he was, Min-su would just turn around on the spot and end this awkward situation for good. If his back kept facing him, maybe Nam-gyu could follow him into some dark alleyway, draw his switchblade, and finally do the world and himself a favour by ending what the Squid Games couldn’t finish.
But instead, he calmly kept talking.

“I was worried about Nam-gyu.”

Come again?

He was a little perplexed to hear his own name like that all of a sudden and didn't manage to keep up his normal expression for a second, immediately correcting himself once he noticed.
It had always bothered him when he heard Min-su say his name, the way his voice cracked a little, how he made sure to pronounce every syllable. Meanwhile Thanos hadn't even bothered to remember his name, let alone say it like that. It was maddening.

Additionally, Min-su directly looked at him directly for the first time while saying that, his dark eyes glistening in the light as if he was getting teary-eyed. Nam-gyu did not want to see it! He wished he could just close the blinds and go somewhere else.
But he regained his composure and Min-su probably didn't even notice that he caught him off guard.

“What would you be worried about? As you can see, I’m doing just fine. Don’t be cringe, man.”

What a boldfaced lie, but it’s not like the guy he only spent time with for a few days, who normally didn't even say a single word, had any business poking around in his private life.
Actually, the only reason Nam-gyu had been in this situation in the first place was his fault, so Min-su pretending to care made him even angrier.
Though, of course he would never give him that power over himself.

“You hadn't… really been active on your socials at all, I thought it was strange, so…”

Nam-gyu did not remember ever giving him his contact info before they started texting to arrange the date, so he raised an eyebrow. Indeed he hasn't really been active at all compared to before, mostly because was paranoid about people he was indebted to finding out he had gotten his hands on some money (not that there was anything left of it) and because he had been high most of the time.

Min-su picked up on his suspicion and added, “I… I found your account because you were following Thanos, it’s this one, right?”
He got his phone out of one of his pockets, fidgeting around with it for a second and then extended his arm to show the screen.

That was his account, alright.

Again, Nam-gyu’s actual emotion slipped through for a second. He didn't really know what to say to that. Under normal circumstances he wouldn’t be too surprised that someone who probably has a lot of time on his hands like Min-su, could track him down like this, but some things were off.
First of all, none of the photos on his account even showed his face, just his hands or legs if at all. His name wasn't on there either, not even a hint. Then, he didn't even publicly interact with Thanos.
While they had known each other before, they only ever talked at the club or in private messages. He was also pretty sure that Thanos had never tagged or mentioned him anywhere, and neither did he.
Had Min-su really gone through the hundreds of thousands of accounts following Thanos in hopes of finding Nam-gyu’s?
There’s no way he came across the account by accident, he must have taken days or weeks to comb through everyone, only to find his socials to check on him ?

That was beyond creepy!

Subconsciously taking one step back, Nam-gyu jokingly slow-clapped.

“Eh~ I’ve gotta hand it to you, that’s pretty amazing. ( amazingly creepy! ) You really are an AI, huh? Wow~”

Maybe the sarcasm was starting to show through his voice but he really didn't care, he just wanted to get this over with.

“Again, as you can see, I’m doing great though so you worried for nothing–”

Min-su interjected, “How can you say you're doing great while whoring yourself out to other men for money?”

Well, he got him there.
“When I found that account I was also looking for profiles on other sites and then found the one we were texting over… I couldn't really believe it so I just had to make sure, that’s why I arranged the meeting…”

Min-su looked away, fixing his eyes on the ground. For once, Nam-gyu was actually happy about that because the look of pity he gave him was really getting him on edge.
What’s more humiliating than being pitied by the most pitiful existence in the universe? Therefore, when Min-su turned away, he felt relieved, he would be able to regain the upper hand on the conversation again, as he always did.
Nam-gyu closed the distance between them again, since he knew that move would be safe to shut him up for now, and started patting his back as if he was putting out a fire.

“Min-su, I got it, I got it! You really did just want to fuck me that bad, huh? No need to sugarcoat it, it’s okay! I won’t tell your bitch of a girlfriend that you’re a faggot”, he hummed with a sly grin, knowing that teasing him like this would leave the pathetic wretch stammering and stumbling over his own words.
To Nam-gyu’s surprise, though, Min-su was seemingly unperturbed by his bullying and instead just continued to talk.

“Are you doing this for money? How can you be out of money just two months after we got our prize? It’s that stuff, isn't it? The drugs…—”

Something inside Nam-gyu snapped and he found himself grabbing Min-su by his collar and slamming him into the nearby concrete wall with full force.
When he noticed he was getting heated instead of keeping his cool, his expression softened and he stopped gritting his teeth but still kept Min-su pinned to the wall.
A few people in the crowd noticed the quarrel but were either too drunk or too high to intervene.

How can I be out of money ?! You’ve got the balls to ask that after the little stunt you pulled? After betraying me–betraying us? You’re the reason we only got some pocket change, compared to the prize we could have won! All because you’re a scaredy little bitch!”

“It… it wasn't just me who voted… And shouldn't that money have still been enough to not have to—”

Min-su was interrupted by Namgyu pulling him by the collar and bringing their faces close together, all while glaring down at the now visibly shuddering puddle of a man beneath him.
The sudden whiplash had Min-su squint his eyes in shock. He slowly opened them again, fear written all over his face hidden behind his straight bangs that seemed to have grown longer since the last time they had seen each other.

“Don’t talk like you know me.”

Nam-gyu kept up the stance and his serious expression for a while before scoffing at him, releasing him from his grip and turning around to get ready to leave. Where to, he wasn’t really sure yet. With his date obviously being cancelled and his mood too sour to hit up any other clients, he’d have to try getting a hotel room again and pay for it with the rest of his money. All he knew was that bullying Min-su wasn’t fun when he didn’t react how he wanted him to and on top of that even talked back to him and asked uncomfortable questions.

He really should have killed them during the games, when he still had the chance, Nam-gyu thought to himself.
Well, he could still do it, but it wouldn’t change anything about his predicament and he didn’t feel like getting his hands dirty now.

Instead, he could improve his mood in the only way he knew and forget about the nuisance he had just left behind standing at the bar once and for all. He did the math and estimated he would need about a quarter of the rest of his funds to get some good stuff that would at least last him for the next couple days, or at least for the night because those pills from earlier sure weren’t doing their job!
If he went to that one dealer, maybe he would give him a few extra favors in exchange for a blowjob again.

As Nam-gyu was crunching the numbers in his head, he felt his sleeve being pulled at when he was just about to exit the venue.
He didn’t even need to turn around to know who it was. Yet he still did and glared at Min-Su with a look so cold it felt like the temperature around them dropped by a few degrees.

“What is it?”

What happened next was something he did, in fact, not expect.
The man before him lowered his head and bowed down in a nearly perfect 90 degree angle. Nam-gyu could notice the people around them stare, some of them whispering to each other, and felt his cheeks flush.
He noted not to visit this club again for the following weeks, just to make sure no one of the people witnessing this would recognize him.

With his head still down and facing the ground, Min-su called out to him: “P-Please let me make it up to you!”

Wow, that was definitely the embarrassing and pathetic “man” he got to know during the games, not the guy asking way too many questions and sticking his nose in Nam-gyu’s private affairs!
He couldn’t help but giggle a little at the sight of someone bowing down to him, fully polite speech and that desperate tone in his voice. Nam-gyu could get used to this.

“‘Make it up’? What are you gonna do? You’re gonna give me 45.6 Billion? I mean, I won’t stop you.”

Min-su lifted his head a little to look at him directly with a panicked expression, then looked back on the ground, as if to avoid Nam-gyu’s gaze.

“I… no, I don’t have that much. But you don’t really have a place to stay currently, right…? If you don’t mind, you can live at my place for as long as you need”, Min-Su said and paused for a few seconds before adding, “Ah! Free of charge, of course.”

You gotta be kidding me , Nam-gyu thought as he stood in place, not having an immediate answer to the offer. Or rather, to the request.
He got tired of thinking about where Min-su could have gathered the fact that he was currently homeless from, he had already proven his mega creep status by stalking his social media, Nam-gyu didn’t know if he was ready for another one of these revelations so he left it at that.
The other thing was, as attractive as a free place to stay would be in light of his financial troubles, he couldn’t imagine anything worse than staying at the apartment of one of the people he hated most, except maybe being with a woman.
On top of that, it would mean being indebted to this piece of shit and basically being below him as far as patheticness went, right? There was no way in hell he was gonna do this.

Min-su probably picked up on his hesitation and quickly added, “I-It can be just for tonight as well.”

He was practically begging him to stay at his place now, something was fishy as hell. Was he going to corner Nam-gyu once they arrived in his apartment and kill him to get back for all the bullying? Or was he going to call the police on him and have him arrested for drug possession? Before this night he wouldn’t have thought Min-su capable of either of those, but since he also hadn’t expected him to be a deranged online stalker, anything was possible at this point.

Nam-gyu waved him off while turning in the opposite direction to exit the door. Behind him he could hear a loud sigh.

“This… this is what you’ve been looking for, right?”

There was no way—

When he turned around once more, Min-su was holding up a small, transparent plastic bag filled with colorful pills, red, blue and yellow. Despite MDMA all looking somewhat similar, Nam-gyu would have recognized these anywhere.
Without thinking he reached out for the bag, only for Min-su to react with a momentum he again didn’t expect from him and shielding it with his hand from Nam-gyu’s grasp.

“You little—! Where did you—?!”

For once, Min-su returned to his usual self and looked lost as to what to reply so he didn’t say anything, clumsily stuffing the bag back into his pockets.

Aside from Min-su not looking like the type to be in possession of, try, or even just know about drugs, it was even more bizarre for him to get his hands on these .
Nam-gyu had been looking for those exact ones on and off during the last months and no matter who of his underworld contacts he asked, none of them could help or just gave him stuff that looked similar but didn’t have the same effect.
The probability of the latter being the case here was pretty high, there was probably a 10 to 90 chance.

His reason was practically yelling at him not to do it and just tell Min-su to fuck off but the prospect of getting to experience this specific high again… it was too good to pass up on.
Additionally, there was a chance the person who supplied Min-su with these would be Thanos. Maybe he could ask Min-su where to find him… only to get more pills, of course!
And some dick.

Both would fix him right now.

After bargaining with himself for a few moments, all while Min-su was standing there and waiting for his response, Nam-gyu finally said the line he had probably wanted to hear.

“...Okay, sure, whatever”

Min-su had an unreadable expression on his face. He got his way and yet he made the same stupid face as always. Nam-gyu hated indecisive guys like that the most.
Not saying anything, he just nodded and looked at the door in front of them, as though motioning Nam-gyu to get a move on. Since Nam-gyu didn’t feel like wasting anymore time here, not when he could spend that time being high and feeling awesome, he did just that and they both left the venue with Min-su leading the way to his apartment.
