Chapter Text
Izuku has always known that changes in his life never bring good things. He hates change; change makes him change, and it's already hard enough to live the way he has to, let alone have to change that already hard lifestyle. Change was always easier when his mom was around, she would talk him through all the ways to deal with it, lay with him in her nest and keep him calm. Now he’s alone, his nest does help his thoughts, but it's never the same, it's changes like these that make him miss her the most.
Packing his clothing and all his things, he tries his best to keep his breathing from going too fast. The next morning, this little hut he calls his home will no longer be his. Not that he ever actually owned it, after his mom died, he was shunned and this was the one place that no one truly bothered him. It wasn’t the best little place, leaking when it rained, or not keeping the cold out, but it's his own little home. He made it his own and the little river lake thing, a little down a beaten trail, made it all worth it.
He always told himself that if he ever found himself lucky enough to have pups of his own or a mate even that he would make sure they understood the beauty of this place. They would learn to swim in this little area of water and appreciate the wildlife that calls this water home. But he wasn’t going to be that lucky.
Three days ago the head alphas of his little village came knocking on his door. It’s never a good sign when they come to see Izuku. Being a male omega, he is considered a curse or nuisance of some sort, while he doesn’t believe it, it has been an ancient myth in the history of his village. Still, these guys are right about one thing, he is a burden. While he can do a lot, there are many things he does wrong.
Which is why when they told him that in 5 days he needs to be prepared because he is getting married and moving. It's odd to him, no one has truly ever been interested in him in the village, so for one to want to marry him, it must be for a reason.
Izuku leaves the makeshift nest he created with little to no supplies to pack for the morning, the idea of sleeping without his nest tonight is just not a good idea. One last good sleep before he’s somewhere he has no comfort is the one thing he can do for himself.
Finishing up his little packing, he grabs a new pair of clothes that aren’t full of holes and his soap that he managed to get, and starts a little trek down to the river. It's a peaceful walk at this time of year, it's not cold but the little wind keeps the heat from being too bad. Winter will be here in a month or two, so he enjoys the warmth as much as he can. As he comes up on the little bank that the river provides, he is once again astonished by its beauty.
The river is soft flowing and creates a little pond that is the clearest water source he has ever seen. The rocks on the side create the best bank for sitting and enjoying the water, he can sit here and just watch the water do what it does.
Stripping himself of the clothing, he grabs his soap and slowly climbs into the water. It's colder during this time of the year so Izuku knows he needs to be quick. Washing his body and his hair as quickly as he can, he pulls himself from the cold water. Not owning a towel, he uses a ratty old blanket he brought, he wipes himself down and begins to get dressed.
Grabbing his old clothes, he starts his walk back while drying his hair. Reaching his little hut, the sun has started going down so Izuku begins his nightly routine. Avoiding brushing his curly hair because that's just a problem of its own, he opts for running his finger through it to get out the knots he can and makes up the rest of his bed.
Laying down, he tries his best not to get his nerves too crazy over tomorrow. As he gets himself comfortable, he makes one wish.
“ All I ask, for once I ask something of you, just make whoever they are at least nice enough to leave me alone if they don’t like it.” Finishing his one wish, he closes his eyes and dreams of what his life may become.

Waking up the next morning was brutal, the reality of his situation hit Izuku when he opened his eyes, to knock on the little hut's door. Slowly he gathered his thoughts and climbed his way out of his bed. Yawning, he made his way towards the door. Opening the door, he begged that it was an alphabet telling him that he was rejected and he could stay in his little home.
“ Let's go, someone will get your nasty shit later!” The first alpha of the three demanded. Izuku stood shocked.
“Wait, I have a few more things to pack, can I just-”
“No Deku, let’s go”
Grabbing Izuku by the front of his shirt, he was dragged from his home with nothing to keep him sane as he was dragged towards the beaten path on the way from the village. Being dragged the entire way there was not what Izuku was hoping for, but it wasn’t the worst they had done.
After reaching the village, Izuku instinctively put his head down, after years of torture from the village, he learned that making eye contact with those out and about was asking for sneers, and bad things to happen. Following the men by looking at their feet, they eventually reached the building where Izuku assumed he would be getting ready for the wedding.
“ Go inside and whoever is in there will deal with you,” one of the alphas shouted as the three of them walked off. Keeping his scent diminished as much as he could, Izuku pushed open the door and made his way into the building.
“ Oh great, Deku is here.” A female omega at the front scowled at Izuku as she put whatever she was grabbing away. Slowly she walked towards him with a look of disgust, Izuku put his head down and chose not to say anything. It always worked out better when he didn’t talk back or apologize, for some reason, they hated when he spoke, even to apologize.
As the girl made her way towards the back, Izuku slowly followed just to make sure that's what he was supposed to do. After passing a few doors, they made it to one in the back of the building, inside there were two betas, as one male and one female holding up what Izuku could only assume was supposed to be some sort of wedding dress.
“ Here’s your bride for the day.” The female omega pushed Izuku into the room harshly as the two betas' faces grew nasty frowns when they realized who they were dressing. Izuku had woken up and knew this day was going to be bad, but it was always hard to face this kind of reaction for simply existing.
“ Oh great, just when I thought today might go well.” The sarcastic tone did nothing to diminish Izuku’s already pounding anxiety.
“ Are you kidding? He is the one that gets to marry Bakugou, which is ridiculous.”
“ Don’t worry, it's not going to last, Bakugou is going to take one look at him and refuse to marry him, there's no doubt that he’ll be back on the market in days, maybe even hours.” The two betas laughed as they spoke of what Izuku had to assume was his soon to be mate. If all that was true, then maybe just maybe he might go back to living his normal life.
After many bad looks and rude comments made about his overly skinny body, Izuku was finally done getting dressed for his wedding. The dress itself wasn’t bad but something Izuku would never pick for himself. It was extremely revealing which only showed off his flaws, his skinny admoden, tiny boobs, and his oddly shaped hips, all the things wrong with him just pointed out he would never be a good mate. His body showed he couldn’t handle a pregnancy. While his hips were wide enough, the rest of him was just unappealing for what alphas looked for in a mate. Body shape mattered, it showed you would bear good pups, and from the way Izuku looked, everyone thought he never would.
While Izuku knew he wasn’t the prettiest, he also knew that the lack of proper nutrition after his mother died definitely didn’t help his cause. As he studied the way he looked, his mind wandered towards what his future mate would be like. The way the betas talked about him made Izuku nervous. It was obvious based on the idea that Izuku would never be good enough for him that he was most likely attractive. But Izuku had never heard nor seen a Bakugou from this village, meaning he was most likely from another. It might be nice to get out of this village for once.
“ Let’s go,” One of the main Alpha leaders of the pack stood at the doo,r motioning for Izuku to follow. So that's what he did.
“ Now listen here you piece of shit, you do not emabrass us, you keep quiet and you give this man pups. He’s not from here so he doesn’t know how disgusting you are but even after warnings he chose you so don’t make him regret it. Now do the one thing you have failed at, try not to be such a Deku.”
As the man spoke, they walked towards the ceremony spot in town where Izuku was eventually pushed towards the bride path as they called it. After standing for a few seconds trying to catch his breath, Izuku heard the tell-tale music that was the bride's cue.
After standing in shock for a second, Izuku’s feet finally moved, his thoughts racing. Today is the day, just try not to embarrass yourself here Izuku, be a good wife and maybe he’ll be nice to you. Ha what a joke, Izuku was screwed.
