Chapter Text
Seungmin doesn’t usually drink.
Not because he can’t handle alcohol, but because drinking means letting his guard down. And letting his guard down drunk in this dorm means being a laughing stock for the foreseeable future.
So, no—Seungmin doesn’t usually drink.
But then Hyunjin had dared him.
Jisung had egged them on, laughing between shots.
Jeongin had sighed dramatically and muttered, "Hyung, you know you're gonna regret this."
And Minho—stupidly smug Minho—had sat back with his drink, watching Seungmin with that unreadable, sharp-eyed expression that always made his skin itch.
So, of course, Seungmin drank.
And drank.
And drank.
And now, the world tilts beneath him, and oh, this was a terrible idea.
He stands—or tries to. His legs don’t quite cooperate, and the moment he takes a step, gravity betrays him. He stumbles forward, and before he can catch himself, he crashes directly into Lee Minho’s lap.
A beat of silence.
Then a slow, amused sigh. "Knew you’d fall for me eventually."
The room erupts.
Jisung is wheezing. Hyunjin claps his hands like a delighted seal. Felix, bless his soul, has already pulled out his phone, recording at a slightly tilted angle with the expertise of someone who lives for content like this.
"Shut up," Seungmin mumbles against Minho’s thigh, his face burning.
Minho just relaxes, draping an arm over the back of the couch as if Seungmin collapsing onto him is the most natural thing in the world. His fingers brush lazily through Seungmin’s hair, and it’s so casual, so easy, that Seungmin forgets how to breathe for a second.
He barely processes the way Changbin shakes his head in fond exasperation. "Minho, stop flirting with him."
"Why?" Minho smirks. "He likes it."
Seungmin groans. "I do not."
"I dunno," Jeongin drawls from the other side of the room. "You’re awfully comfortable right now, hyung."
Seungmin forces himself to sit up. It takes way more effort than it should. The warmth in his stomach has spread to his limbs, making everything feel heavy and slow, and he hates it—hates how unguarded he feels, how easy it would be to slip, to say things he shouldn’t.
Chan watches from his spot on the couch, his arms folded, a knowing smile playing on his lips. "Looks like you’re done for the night, pup."
Seungmin glares at him. "I’m not done."
Chan raises an eyebrow. "Oh yeah? Then stand up."
Seungmin tries. He fails.
The laughter gets louder.
Hyunjin is practically on the floor. Jisung is gasping for air. Felix—Felix is zooming in with his camera, catching every second of Seungmin’s downfall.
Seungmin sighs. Dramatically. Loudly. "You two are so unfair."
A pause.
Chan tilts his head. "Who?"
Seungmin exhales sharply, frustration creeping into his voice. "How am I supposed to live like this? With you two being you?"
Minho’s eyes gleam. "And what exactly does that mean?"
Seungmin gestures vaguely between them, arms flailing slightly. "This! You! It’s not fair!"
Hyunjin muffles a squeal. Jisung nudges Felix. "Oh my god, keep recording."
Felix, still holding his phone steady, whispers, "Don’t worry. I am."
Seungmin turns to Minho first, narrowing his eyes, voice slurring slightly. "You should be illegal."
Minho chuckles. "You think I should be arrested? For what crime?"
Seungmin doesn’t hesitate. "For being offensively good-looking."
Silence.
Then pure, unfiltered chaos.
Jisung actually falls backward. Hyunjin is gone, wheezing into the carpet. Changbin throws his head back with a cackle, and Jeongin looks like he’s questioning all of his life choices.
Felix, completely silent, is just vibrating with excitement. The recording does not stop.
Minho, for his part, looks delighted. "Wow," he murmurs. "That might be the best compliment I’ve ever gotten."
But Seungmin isn’t done. He turns to Chan, eyes narrowing.
"And you," he says, jabbing an accusing finger at him.
Chan, perfectly calm, lifts an eyebrow. "Me?"
"Yes, you," Seungmin grumbles. "You’re like… a really warm, responsible teddy bear."
Another pause.
Then absolute mayhem.
Hyunjin shrieks. Jisung chokes. Changbin wipes away a tear. Jeongin actually rolls off the couch.
Felix’s camera is shaking from how hard he’s laughing.
Chan, infuriatingly composed, only tilts his head, smiling. "A teddy bear, huh?"
Seungmin scowls. "A big, soft teddy bear that makes me feel safe and warm and—ugh, stop looking at me like that!"
Minho tilts his head, smirking. "You do realize you’re saying all of this out loud, right?"
Seungmin blinks. His brain stalls.
Then—
Oh.
Oh no.
His stomach drops.
His face burns. "Forget everything I said."
But it’s too late.
Felix snickers. "Oh, puppy," he purrs. "You’re never living this down."
Seungmin whirls around—too fast. His vision blurs, his head spins, and before he can stop it, his body tips forward.
Chan catches him instantly, his hands firm and steady, and for a second—for just a second—Seungmin leans into the warmth.
Minho hums thoughtfully. "Should we put him to bed?"
Chan smiles, brushing a stray strand of hair from Seungmin’s forehead. "Probably."
The last thing Seungmin hears before sleep takes him is Minho’s teasing whisper, soft and fond against his temple:
"Sweet dreams, little puppy."
Seungmin wakes up to hell on earth.
His head is pounding. His mouth feels like sandpaper. His stomach churns, threatening to revolt at the slightest movement.
And worst of all—
Worst of all—
There is a fucking camera in his face.
"Good morning, sweetheart~"
Seungmin groans, deeply, painfully, and smacks the phone out of Felix’s hands. "Get that thing away from me."
Felix, undeterred, picks it right back up, positively beaming. "Oh, puppy, you have no idea how long I’ve been waiting for this moment."
Seungmin slowly forces his swollen eyes open, squinting at the room. The sunlight filtering through the curtains is far too bright, and it only makes his headache worse. He shifts under the blankets, rolling onto his side—
—and freezes.
Because sitting at the foot of the bed, legs crossed, arms folded, and smirking like the devil himself—
Is Lee Minho.
Seungmin stares. Minho stares back.
A long, excruciating silence stretches between them.
Then Minho smiles, all slow and dangerous. "Good morning, puppy."
Seungmin immediately bolts upright—and instantly regrets it.
His head throbs so violently he nearly falls back onto the pillows. His stomach lurches. The world tilts, spins, and Minho—Minho just watches it happen, one eyebrow delicately raised, as if he’s waiting for Seungmin to suffer just a little longer before he speaks.
"Careful," Minho says smoothly. "Wouldn’t want you to throw up all over me. Or… maybe you would? I hear some people get off on that sort of thing."
Seungmin, with the strength of a thousand dying men, glares. "Kill. Yourself."
Minho laughs—not his usual chuckle, but the kind of laugh that means he is having the time of his fucking life.
And then—
"So! Who wants to watch the footage?"
Seungmin jerks toward the sound of Felix’s voice, horrified. "What fucking footage?!"
Felix gleams with villainous intent. "Oh, you know… the footage of you confessing your undying love to Chan and Minho. The footage of you declaring Minho should be illegal for being too hot. The footage of you calling Chan a big, soft teddy bear who makes you feel warm and safe—"
"Stop talking," Seungmin begs.
But Felix is unstoppable. "—the footage of you literally passing out in Chan’s arms like some tragic, love-stricken protagonist."
Seungmin blanches. "Delete it."
"Oh, sweetheart," Felix hums. "Absolutely not."
Seungmin whips around, scanning the room frantically. "Where’s Chan?"
"Taking a shower," Minho drawls, stretching lazily. "But he'll be there to face your confession soon enough, don't worry.”
Seungmin wants to die. "This is it," he whispers to himself. "This is how I go. Death by public humiliation."
Felix snickers. "Oh, but we’re just getting started."
And then—the door opens.
Seungmin prays it’s divine intervention. Maybe an earthquake. Or an asteroid strike. Anything that will erase this moment from existence.
Instead, in walks Changbin and Jeongin.
And the moment they see Seungmin’s miserable state—
They lose their fucking minds.
"Hyung!" Jeongin wheezes, immediately doubling over with laughter. "Oh my god—"
"Do you remember getting wasted and confessing to Minho and Chan?" Changbin cackles, looking way too entertained. "What happened to 'I hate showing emotions'? What happened to 'I don’t need anyone'?!"
Seungmin collapses back onto the pillows. "I hate all of you."
"Aww," Minho coos. "Puppy’s embarrassed."
"Puppy’s about to commit a homicide," Seungmin mutters darkly.
Jeongin, wiping away tears, grins. "Well, don’t kill Felix. We still need him to play the footage at breakfast."
Seungmin shoots up so fast his head screams in protest. "What."
Felix, still recording, smiles. "Oh, puppy. You didn’t think I was gonna keep this goldmine to myself, did you?"
Seungmin seethes. "You wouldn’t dare."
Felix’s smile widens. "Wouldn’t I?"
A dangerous silence.
Then—Seungmin lunges.
Felix shrieks. "OH FUCK—"
And suddenly, the room erupts into chaos. Felix flees, Seungmin chases, Jeongin cackles, Minho watches with smug amusement, and Changbin—Changbin just leans against the doorway, watching the scene unfold like he’s witnessing the greatest entertainment of his life.
And then, because this day wasn’t already bad enough—
Hyunjin and Han Jisung walk in.
And immediately—
"OH MY GOD, HE LOOKS LIKE A DROWNED RAT." Hyunjin howls with laughter, pointing directly at Seungmin.
"Seungminnie~," Jisung sing-songs, grinning ear to ear. "How are you feeling this morning? You look great."
"I am going to kill all of you," Seungmin hisses.
Hyunjin, still laughing, flops onto the bed next to him, dramatically cradling his face. "Oh, you poor, poor thing. Did someone drink too much and get all emotional last night?"
"I will rip your soul out of your body," Seungmin deadpans.
"Felix," Jisung says, turning to their ever-faithful videographer, "how long is the footage?"
Felix beams. "Long enough to ruin Seungmin’s entire life."
"Fantastic," Hyunjin grins. "You know what this means, right?"
Jisung smirks. "Movie night."
Seungmin screams.
And just when he thinks it can’t get worse—
The bathroom door swings open.
Chan steps out, towel-drying his hair, looking far too amused as he surveys the scene—Seungmin, disheveled and furious, Hyunjin literally rolling on the bed laughing, Jisung smirking, Felix recording, Changbin and Jeongin on the floor wheezing, and Minho looking like a proud instigator.
Chan sighs, looks directly at Seungmin, and says the worst possible thing.
"So. Should I start calling myself Teddy from now on?"
Seungmin screams into a pillow and swears vengeance.
But first– he needs painkillers.
And a new identity.
Maybe even a new planet.
Seungmin is seriously considering running away.
The only problem is that his legs are still wobbly from the aftermath of his hangover, and Minho is blocking the door, looking far too smug for his own good.
"You’re not escaping," Minho drawls, arms crossed. "We need to talk."
Seungmin glares at him. "No, we don’t."
Chan sighs, sitting on the edge of the bed. "Seungmin—"
"I was drunk," Seungmin interrupts quickly. "Nothing I said counts."
Minho raises an eyebrow. "Oh? So I’m not illegally hot?"
Seungmin’s face bursts into flames.
Felix, still lurking in the corner, hums. "If I recall correctly, you said Minho-hyung was ‘so fucking attractive it should be a crime.’"
Seungmin whirls on him. "Get out."
Felix grins. "I could… but where’s the fun in that?"
Minho chuckles, but when he turns back to Seungmin, his smirk softens. "Seriously, puppy. You can’t take it back just because you’re embarrassed."
Seungmin grits his teeth, fists clenched in his lap. "Why not?"
Chan leans forward, resting his forearms on his knees. "Because it wasn’t just you."
Seungmin stills.
Minho shrugs. "Yeah. Hate to break it to you, puppy, but you’re not the only one with a pathetic crush."
Seungmin’s head snaps up. "What?"
Chan exhales slowly, like he’s been holding something in for a long time. "We’ve both liked you for a while, Seungmin. We just didn’t know if you—" He gestures vaguely. "—felt the same. And then last night happened."
Minho tilts his head. "And now we do know."
Seungmin’s heart is hammering. He doesn’t know what to do with his hands. He doesn’t know what to do with himself. His brain is still catching up. "You—" He swallows. "Both of you—"
Chan nods.
Minho nods.
Seungmin feels like screaming. "And you’re just telling me this now?!"
Minho blinks. "I mean, yeah? When were we supposed to tell you? Between your ‘I hate everything’ speeches?"
Felix snorts from the corner. "He’s got a point."
Seungmin groans, pressing his face into his hands.
Chan laughs, reaching out to gently pull his hands away. His touch is warm, steady, grounding. "Seungmin. We’re not expecting an answer right now. We just… wanted you to know."
Minho hums. "Yeah. We’re not going anywhere, puppy."
Seungmin stares at them—at Minho, who is pretending to be casual but has an almost imperceptible softness in his eyes, and at Chan, whose expression is open and patient, like he’s ready to wait forever if he has to.
He doesn’t deserve this.
But he wants it anyway.
"...You guys are so fucking annoying," Seungmin mutters.
Minho grins. "That’s not a no."
Seungmin glares at him. "Shut up."
Chan just smiles. "Take your time, Seungmin. We’ll be here when you’re ready."
Seungmin exhales shakily. His heart still feels like it’s trying to escape his chest, but when he looks at them—really looks at them—he thinks that maybe, just maybe, this could be something good.
Felix suddenly claps his hands
together. "Wow, what a touching moment!"
Seungmin whips around. "Why are you still here?!"
Felix beams. "I love love."
Seungmin lunges.
Felix yelps and bolts.
Chan and Minho laugh as Seungmin chases Felix down the hall, and even as chaos erupts once more, there’s something light, something warm, settling in his chest.
Maybe this isn’t so bad after all.
