Date: Monday 14th April 2025 17:00
The 118 were on their final hour of their shift. They were eating dinner, hoping and praying for a Q-Word hour. Eddie found it funny, he always says the word under his breath. He doesn't think much of it. He just likes to entertain them. He doesn't believe in "curses" or stuff like that. He doesn't believe he was "destined" to have Chris, he doesn't think it was "fate" that bought him and Buck together. Why would he believe in stuff like that? Like, come on. It's stupid. But, for the sake of Buck. He'll happily act like he believes in them.
He did again, 5 minutes ago. Whisper the Q-Word under his breath. Except.. Hen heard him. The snitch decided to tell the entire firehouse. Now everyone was complaining because things started to get proper messy. The only one he cares about? Is the one person who is in a sulk on the couch. He refuses to talk to Eddie because he told him how much he hated that word. Eddie thinks it funny, obviously. Why wouldn't he? His boyfriend is having a mini-tantrum because of a word, he should be annoyed but he's not. In fact, he finds it adorable.
They're still bickering when the alarm goes off. Great. Now they're all complaining about Eddie starting this up and how they'll be running around for the rest of the time. No breaks, no nothing. Eddie thinks it's amusing. He watches as Buck slowly makes his way over to the fire engine, his equipment on and his eyes avoiding Eddie's. 'Real Cute Buckley' Eddie thought. He honestly found it funny how he was in a foul mood because of a word.
They get out of the truck 5 minutes later. Captain Nash is giving out orders, somehow a zoo has been set on fire. Pretty weird, but that's what the 118 gets when Edmundo Diaz decides to play around with the Q-Word. They all blame it on him. He can only laugh and do his job. Athena's there, helping people leave the premises, Maddie is the dispatcher telling them the information they need to know. They didn't often get these types of calls, where they all were together. But they all loved it when it did happen. Not for the victims, obviously, but it was nice. The 7 of them (plus other members of the 118), working as a team. They liked it.
Somehow, some animals had escaped so they had to help keep people away from the scene so that zoo keepers could safely put them back. Honestly? People are stupid, a lot of people tried to re-enter like 30 seconds after the fire was cleared but animals were still out. So they had to push them back. It was stupid. Why wasn't any of them using their heads? It's common sense to not go back on site where people are working in an extremely dangerous area. But they ignored them. As they do often did.
It took a total of half an hour to get sorted, the animals were back in their cages and now? They were on their way back to the Firehouse. By the time they got back it was 17:44, 16 minutes left of their shift. They spent that time, cleaning and making the place available for the next shift. Luckily for Eddie, Buck had gotten over the Q-Word fiasco. He was currently rambling on about some goat he saw on Instagram before they left for that call, Eddie found it adorable. He loved how Buck could just talk about anything and everything like it was the most important thing to him. Luckily for the group, Buck was a ray of sunshine so they didn't need worry much when something annoyed him or hurt him because he'd soon enough forget about it. Which they loved.
By the time they finished cleaning, it was 17:57. 3 minutes left of their shift. So they decided to get dressed and go home. In the locker room: Eddie, Buck, Chim, Hen, and Bobby were talking about the call. Talking about how cute the baby elephants were, the tigers, the leopards. Then, Buck suggests something.
"Why don't we go to the zoo tomorrow? We're all free! We can invite Maddie and Athena!" Eddie loved that boy. He didn't listen to a word he said, but he had been in a greater mood this week than he had been in months. And he loved it. So Eddie easily agreed.
"Sure, why not? Could be fun!" He grabbed Buck's ass. Which got him to yelp and smack Eddie's hand away, glaring at him.
"I will if he doesn't act like that." Chim mentions, looking at the two with disgust.
"Me too" Hen looks at Eddie with amusement and disdain.
"I'll ask Athena" Bobby smiles, not bothering to mention the action between the couple. He loves how comfortable they are with them but... sometimes Eddie is a little much with his PDA.
"I'll ask Maddie, I'm sure she's itching to get Jee-Yun out the house for a bit." Chimney adds.
They all glance at Buck, the look of pure excitement is splattered on his face. And it spreads to them all, they all love him. In different ways. Eddie loves him as his boyfriend, Bobby loves him as his son, Chim loves him as his brother, Hen loves him as her best friend. They love him. And would kill for him. Ok, maybe not kill but.. You understand.
Buck and Eddie got into Buck's jeep, Eddie driving because he refused to allow Buck to drive, the gentleman that he is. They're driving back when Buck asks him.
"I know Chris is supposed to be sleeping at his friends house, but, should we ask him if he wants to come with us?" Eddie thinks his love for Buck has amplified.
"Yeah, I'll ask him." He tries to stay composed. But all he wants is to pull the car over and fuck him senseless. But damn, he knows he can't. Oh well, he'll do it when Chris is asleep. Multiple times..
They pull up, both leaving the car. Eddie locks it and follows Buck inside, Carla and Chris are building Legos in the living room.
"We're home!" Eddie yells, fighting an urge to just say goodnight and take Buck to bed.
Before he could do anything, Buck is dragging him into the living room. He watches Buck sit beside Chris and build Legos with him. God, he married a child. But he wouldn't trade him for the world.
"Christopher?" Eddie sits next to him
"Yeah dad?" Chris doesn't look at him, he continues playing with Buck
"So, you know how you're going to your friends house tomorrow?" Eddie begins, he doesn't know how to ask.
"Yeah?" He hands Buck a red lego.
"Would you still like to go? Or would you prefer to come to the zoo with everyone tomorrow?" He finally asks, he doesn't know why he finds it so hard to talk to his own kid.
"Is that 'everyone' as in the 118 or Me, You, Buck and Carla?" Chris asks.
"As in the 118 bud"
"Uhm.. No, can I still go to my friends house?" Eddie sees Buck's mood drop a bit. It's not exactly down much, but it's easy to see it's bummed him out a bit.
"Yeah bud, that's fine" He ruffles Chris' hair, shooting a glance at Buck.
Buck just looks at him before looking away. He won't say until later, and that's fine with him. As long as he talks about it later.
"Time for bed Bud, say goodnight to Carla" Eddie helps him up.
"Night Carla!" Chris hugs her
"Night Chris!" She hugs him back "Have fun at your sleepover!" And she leaves.
Eddie and Chris make their way down the hall to the bathroom. While Buck stays back and cleans up the mess, despite Eddie telling him countless times to leave it, it wasn't his mess to clean up. He hates mess, everything has to be perfect. Eddie says it's OCD but he's undiagnosed. So, until then? He's just a perfectionist.
Minutes later, Eddie walks back into the living room. "He wants to say goodnight to you cariño" He kisses Buck's forehead before walking to their room. Buck makes his way down to Chris' room.
"Night Superman" Buck walks in and ruffles his hair.
"Night Buck" He smiles at Buck and closes his eyes. Buck turns the lights off and makes his way back to his and Eddie's room, turning lights off in the rooms that are on. When he walks in, Eddie's in his sweatpants and on the bed. Shirtless. Fuck, how much Buck loves that sight.
"Hey bebé" Eddie says as Buck changes into his *actual* pajamas. Buck's barely on the bed 5 seconds before Eddie pulls him into his lap.
"What got you down earlier?" Eddie caresses Buck's cheek, the other hand on his waist.
"Huh?" Buck's not sure what's going on.
"When Chris said he'd prefer to go to his friends house instead of come to the zoo"
"Oh. I was hoping I could show him the animals. Yk, do something with him since we've moved in together? I know it's silly but.." Before he can finish, Eddie interrupts him with a kiss.
"It's not silly, mi amor, you wanna spend time with him. That's great, I love how you want to spend time with him. But you've spent time with him before we got together, one on one. With me or Carla. What's so different?" Eddie asks, stroking his scalp. Making sure he's calm.
"We haven't done much together in a while, and like, I don't know.. Now that me and you are together, I was hoping I'd mean more to him..." Eddie feels like slapping him. Does he not know how much he already means to Chris?
"Cariño. Sweetheart. You mean as much to him as I do to him. You always have. Don't doubt that because he wants to be with his friends. Okay?" He kisses Buck's neck.
"Okay.." He hugs Eddie.
Eddie grins against Buck's neck. He bites. Bites and sucks. Allowing him to hear a sweet sound leave Buck's mouth. Pulling away, he sees a dark purple mark on Buck's neck.
"Eddie.. Chris isn't.." He's cut off by another bite.
"You'll just have to be a good boy and stay quiet then, won't you?" Before Buck can respond, his hands are on Buck's pajama bottoms, pulling them off.
That night? Buck slept well. Really well.
Date: Tuesday 15th April 10:32am
Buck woke up with a groan. A small pain in his back. Great. Eddie really went at it last night. He stood up and grabbed a few clothes before looking in the mirror for damage control. What does he find? His hair is dishevelled and deep purple marks littered on his neck. He knows they go down further but he isn't going to look. He knows there'll be way more. Leaving the bedroom, he's met with the smell of burnt toast. That's how he knows Eddie is making breakfast.
"You burnt that" Buck walks in, rubbing his eyes lightly, taking a seat next to Chris.
"Shut it." Eddie says playfully. Smirking to himself at the sight of Buck's neck.
"You two are gross." Chris says, staring at Buck's neck in disgust.
Buck shrinks in on himself in embarrassment. He hides his neck and pretends to not know what Chris is going on about. Eddie in the other hand?
"It's called love Christopher. You'll do it to whoever you get with when you're an adult"
"Gross! No! I'm going to stay single."
"Yeah, sure you will Bud."
"I will!"
And that's the morning, Chris and Eddie playfully arguing. Until Chris' friend Jacob picks him up at 11:15am. Not long after that, the A-Shift group chat goes off.

"So, when are we going to the Zoo?"
Captain Dad 🧑🏻🚒:
"I was thinking around 1pm? -Bobby"
Big Sis 💪🏻:
"Howie and I are meeting up with Buck and Eddie, we're going together."
My Big Buff Guy 💘:
"Yeah, Maddie and Chim are with Buck and I currently."
Chimney 🏠:
"And I am disgusted at the sight of Buck's neck!"
Sargent Mom 👮🏻♀️:
"Why? What's up with Buck's neck?"
Chimney 🏠:
"Basically, to save you all from being scarred. Eddie made sure we knew who Buck belongs to."

"Dramatic much? It's a few hickies. Big deal."
Hen 🐔🐣:
"Gross... Karen and I are dropping Denny and Mara off at their friends house, we'll see you all at 1pm like Bobby said?"
Buck:
"Sounds great!"

"See you all there! -Bobby"

"Bobby, we know it's you sending the message. You don't need to put "-Bobby""

Chimney 🏠:
"Who taught Bobby how to use emoticons?"
Buck:

Hen 🐔🐣:
"Of course you did Buck.."
Buck felt a slap on his head.
"Ow!" He whined. "What was that for Chim?"
"For teaching Bobby how to use emoticons. That's what."
Eddie slapped Chim's head. "Don't hit him."
Maddie followed suit. "You're my husband, but he's my baby brother."
Chimney huffed. "3 against 1? Seriously? C'mon Jee! Back me up"
Jee ran over to Buck instead. Buck lifted her up and put her on his lap.
"Traitor." Chim glared playfully at Jee.
"That's my girl!" Buck pressed a kiss to her head.
"So, Chris didn't want to come?" Maddie asked Eddie, leaving Buck to play with Jee and Chimney to whine.
"Nah, he'd prefer to be at his friends house instead apparently"
"Hm, How'd Buck take it?"
"He felt a bit melancholic. To be dramatic about it. He said he wanted to spend some time with him, you know, since he's technically Chris' step-dad?"
"You reassured him, right?"
"In.. more ways that one."
"Gross. I don't wanna hear about my brother's sex life thanks" Maddie was clearly disgusted.
"Well, if we're gonna get to the zoo, we're gonna need to leave now." Chim said, still in a tiny mood.
"Right. Buck? Cariño?" Eddie called to him. Realising that both he and Jee had disappeared.
"Coming!" Buck came running in, Jee on his shoulders. Laughing.
"Why..?" Maddie questioned.
"I wouldn't question it." Eddie says. "He does this with Chris."
Buck gets Jee of his shoulders and they all leave. All piling into Buck's jeep. Eddie and Buck in the front, the Han family behind them. Once again, Eddie didn't allow Buck to drive. Buck seriously has to ask him why. Those thoughts are pushed away when Eddie pulls off and his hand joins Buck's thigh.
"Really? PDA in an enclosed area? In front of my daughter?" Chim complained. That earned him a glare from Eddie and an elbowing from Maddie.
Buck only laughed. He opened his phone and turned to the groupchat.
Buck:
"On our way!"

"Same here"

"Bobby and I as well."
Chimney 🏠:
"I hate car sharing with Mr and Mr Diaz."
Big Sis 💪🏻:
"You hate it because Eddie placed his hand on Buck's thigh. Which is completely normal"
Chimney 🏠:
"It's still gross!"
Hen 🐔🐣:
"Karen says to leave them alone or you're going 6 feet under."
Sargent Mom 👮🏻♀️:
"You'd better listen Han. The Wilson's aren't people to piss off"

"Why are you all on their side!?"

"Because it annoys you"

Buck:
"He was silenced!"

"Where the hell did you go?"
Buck:
"Eddie wanted my hand. I can't type with just one hand.."

"Seriously? You can't type with just one hand?"
Buck:

"You're like a child in an adults body."
Buck:
"Rude.."
Sargent Mom 👮🏻♀️:
"Bobby and I are here"
Hen 🐔🐣:
"Karen and I see you, we're pulling in right next to you."
Big Sis 💪🏻:
"Buck's phone died. We're here. We'll find and park near you"
"How did his phone die already?" Karen asks, questioning Buck despite the fact that he's not here.
"We'll find out once they get out the car." Athena points out Buck's jeep.
"Eddie really is a gentleman isn't he? Drives Buck around and everything." Hen points out
"They're just in love. The 'honeymoon' phase as Harry calls it" Bobby says.
"No, that lasts for a month or two. Those two are going strong at what? 5 months?" Karen points out.
The Han's alongside Buck and Eddie step out the Jeep. Buck sulking because his phones dead. Eddie holding his hand, grinning to himself. Chimney looks done with the two while Maddie is talking to Jee.
"So, how'd your phone die already?" Hen asks, wanting to know how it died already.
"Don't wanna say.." Buck grumbled and leant into Eddie.
"He was researching monkey types, finding random facts about flowers, what each flower means. The entire trip when he wasn't messaging" Eddie reveals. Buck looks betrayed.
"Rude." Eddie just pressed a kiss to his birthmark.
"Maybe, but it was cute." Eddie squeezes his hand.
Buck huffs and they all start walking. Buck and Eddie in front. The others behind them.
"Jesus Christ Diaz. You really did go at his neck" Hen comments.
"Yup. Got an issue?" Eddie smirks.
"No, just.. Leave the poor boy alone" Hen blinks at him.
"He likes it. Don't you bebé?"
Buck only grumbles.
"He likes it."
The others just ignore them. Done with them.
"So, where to first then?" Hen asks
"Anywhere, start from the left and make our way around?" Athena suggests. They all agree. They buy their tickets and start making their rounds.
Buck robbed Eddie's phone and was taking pictures of everything and everything. Mostly of Eddie looking at animals. He was also spilling random facts about each animal he saw. Literally nothing came out of him unless it was a conversation with Eddie, Bobby or Maddie, or he decided to spill random facts about the animal they were at.
This is what Eddie adored about Buck. His excitement for anything and everything. Nothing could bring him down. And that's how the day went. Well.. For at least an hour. You see, Buck was happy and fine. Until a certain woman came up to him and tapped his back.
He turned around and there she stood.
Taylor Townsend.
The woman who took advantage of Buck while he was in therapy. His rapist. His assaulter.
Buck's mind went blank. He saw her and his mood flipped. He was back there.
"You taste so good.. Fuck, you're so hot."
Her hands ran up and down his body. Grabbing his dick like it was some sort of toy to be used and played with. Using it to her own advantage. He enjoys the feel of her touch. The way her smooth hands are running up and down his body.
He doesn't realise that he's being taken advantage of. He thinks he wants it. But he doesn't, this woman was supposed to stop him from having sex with every living thing. But no. Instead, she's bouncing on him like she's doing no wrong.
He doesn't know how he got into that situation. But he's there now. And he's "enjoying" it. At least, that's what she's telling him. And he believes it. She's his therapist, she wouldn't lie to him. Right?
"Ah.. You're so good Evan!" She's bouncing on him now. He wants this.. right? He thinks he does, she said he does. He believes her. He trusts her. Because that's what you're supposed to do. Trust your therapist.
He feels hands pulling at him, he struggles to get them off. He's crying. He's fighting anyone who touches him. His vision is blurred. Her hands are on his body. He wants them off. Why are her hands still there?
Get them off. He's itching at his skin. He doesn't realise it. But he is. He needs to get her off of him. He's right back there. He wants to go. He wants Eddie, he wants Athena, he wants Maddie. Just anyone who isn't her. He feels new hands on him, they're slow but he doesn't know who's they are. He's scared. He wants her gone. He forces the persons hands off of him. He wants her gone. Gone. Please. He wants her gone. Just get her to go. The person who was touching him speaks.
"Buck, cariño, bebé, it's me amor. It's Eddie. Calm down, she's not touching you bebé. I promise, calm down please." His voice is panicked.
Eddie? Eddie'll protect him. He allows the hands to return, covering her hands. He feels his hands on him, covering where she was "touching" him. Buck is in Eddie's arms, his face buried in Eddie's chest. Eddie is whispering sweet nothings to him. Occasionally saying things like
"She can't touch you here."
"I'm here to protect you cariño"
"You're safe, I promise"
He's greatful, Eddie is with him. He needs him. He needs a shower, scrub her touch off of him. He hates it. Hates that she ruined his life.
Eddie hates that bitch. As soon as she tapped Buck, he stepped in front of him. Yelling at her to go away, calling her everything. Publicly shaming her as a rapist, Buck trembled at that. He didn't want anyone knowing what she did to him. He didn't want to be seen as weak. But it happened. Eddie's shaming? That got people's attention. The group started yelling at her to back away and to stay away among other... Graphic things! While Bobby informed Athena on the situation and how she took advantage of Buck a few years ago. The 118 were surrounding Buck, making sure he was hidden from her. Athena had radioed in. Called some people from the station to make an arrest.
It took a few minutes, but eventually she was arrested. No one allowed her to leave the area. Everyone kept that bitch in an area where she'd have to assault people to leave. Which would only increase her chances of being in prison for a long time.
She was taken away and everyone was questioned. Eddie stayed with Buck and answered the questions for him since he knew most of it. Buck answered the ones Eddie couldn't. The day was ruined because of that bitch. Eddie hated that, one of Buck's favourite place tainted by that bitch. He wanted to kill her. The Zoo was one of few places he knew Buck was relaxed at. He could only hope that today wouldn't affect him.
He was glad Christopher didn't come. He didn't want Chris to see Buck like that. In that state. He saw it once, a minor one, and it scared him. He's just glad their friends knew enough to keep her out of Buck's sight. He'd have to find a way to thank them later.
Eddie could practically see Buck thinking.
"What's up Querida?"
Buck stayed silent.
"Bebé, háblame"
"..Can we go..?" Eddie expected as much. He knew the others were too. That's why they were heading around as fast as possible, due to the one way system.
"We already are cariño.. We're going as fast as we can while also grabbing some pictures so you can look at them later" He keeps a hold of Buck, afraid to let go. He kisses his forehead.
Eventually, they make it out of the Zoo. Maddie takes the Jeep keys, both she and Chim getting into the front while Buck and Eddie took the backseats. Athena and Bobby offered to take Jee, they were all going back to Eddie and Buck's place anyways. They wouldn't let that bitch ruin their day. The ride back was silent. Maddie and Chim having a quiet conversation, with Eddie sharing some airpods with Buck playing Buck's favourite songs. The two had two completely different tastes in music but he knew it'd cheer him up a bit. Buck ended up asleep halfway back, still. Eddie wouldn't change the music. He would use Buck's phone to play the music his app set him.The app Buck had allowed him to listen to anything online that would slow down his mind or anything else. But due Buck's phone being dead, they had to stick to Spotify Premium.
Soon enough, they were back at Eddie and Buck's place. They were all piling out, Eddie had woken him up a few minutes before they arrived. Eddie took Buck to their bathroom.
"Take a shower, mi amor. I know you still..." He doesn't finish, Buck appreciates it.
"I'll grab you a towel and some clothes. Yeah?"
Buck nods.. then speaks up a bit.
"Can... Can you.. uhm.. J-Join..? I-I wanna feel you.. not her.."
Eddie kisses his forehead in response and leaves to grab some clothes for them both. Normally he'd say no because they when they do, they usually spend 3 hours in there together, and because they have guests. But he was more concerned over Buck than anything else. So he complied.
Eddie walked back in with 2 of Eddie's sweatpants, boxers and shirts. He returned to the bathroom and stripped. Joining Buck in the shower. It took all of 3 seconds of him being in the shower for Buck to be crying in his arms again. Whispering apologies for being "damaged goods". That got Eddie pissed. Because he wasn't. He wasn't damaged goods.and the fact that he thought that hurt him. He vowed to kill that bitch for even making Buck think that.
"Listen to be cariño" He lifted Buck's chin to look at him "You're not damaged goods. You never have been." He started
"But-"
"No. No fighting me on this. I love you the way you are bebé. You're not damaged goods. You're perfect the way you are, and always will be." He presses a kiss to his forehead. "Do you want me to scrub you? Or do you wanna do it?"
"You.." Eddie nods and starts scrubbing him clean. He wanted him to feel his hands, not hers. Because Buck belongs to Eddie. He doesn't care what people say. Call him possessive. But Buck is his. No one else's. And nothing anyone says can convince him otherwise.
Minutes later they emerge from the bathroom. Buck clinging to Eddie, they meet up with the rest of them in the kitchen. Maddie (somehow found the stuff. Buck hid it all) made tea for them all, including the two. Usually they'd comment on the clinginess but they didn't. They knew how much Buck needed Eddie currently so no comment was made.
They all say down in the living room, deciding to order Chinese Food (Buck's food choice). They were all finished eating when Buck was asleep on Eddie's lap. Slowly, Eddie stood up and took him to bed. He was pulling away when Buck whimpered and his grip on Eddie's shirt tightened.
"I'll be back in a minute bebé niño, just gotta say goodnight to them all" he whispered in Buck's ear, giving him a kiss on the forehead before going to the group.
"He's out, he's expecting me though so.. Stay or leave, I don't care. If you stay? No stealing. If you leave? Lock up for me. Spare key is under the mat. I'll message you all tomorrow how he is depending on if you're here or not."
The group nod and say their goodnights to Eddie. Athena and Maddie opting to stay the night, everyone else leaving.
Eddie climbs into bed next to Buck, as if he has an "Eddie is in bed" detector, he rolls on top of him. Nuzzling into his neck. Eddie can only smile and wrap his arms around him.
"Night bebé.." He kisses his boy and falls asleep.
The two women? Well, no one needs to know about how they recorded that little bit..
