H: I should have known you’d do this.
D: You’ll really need to be more specific.
H: He didn’t get home until 3am. He starts at the Ministry today, Malfoy. You knew this.
D: Ah
H: Right. So you know who this is now?
D: Unfortunately
H: You just had to keep him at the pub.
D: Goyle is a grown wizard, Granger. I didn’t force him to do anything.
H: Well, I’m sure you didn’t encourage him to be home.
D: Remind me when I became his babysitter? I thought that was your job.
H: You’re such an asshole.
D: Good, then we’re both exactly like we remember each other.
H: What is that supposed to mean?
D: I’m still an asshole and you’re still a nosy little do-gooder who can’t leave well enough alone
H: I don’t even know why he’s still friends with you. Harry and Ron told me to be careful.
D: Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Doesn’t Die can stay out of this.
H: Greg needs friends he can trust, not trust-fun degenerates who can barely manage to get out of bed.
D: Granger, are we done? Unlike you and Goyle, I’m not on the Ministry’s galleon, and I have a happy hour to start.
H: Fine. Yeah. Whatever. I don’t know why I expected anything different.
H: {Photo of a line of bottles on a counter. At least are visible}
H: What the fuck is this?
D: Language, Granger. My goodness.
H: Why am I looking at this on the counter of my flat?
D: It’s my dear friend’s first birthday out of Azkaban. Am I not supposed to be over the top?
H: There must be 40 bottles of alcohol here, Malfoy. Take it back.
D: Nope. Shalln’t.
H: Gods, I hate you. Greg doesn’t need all of this.
D: I beg to differ. I could take it off your hands, but that would require me drinking in your flat. Greg would love to have me there. But you? Hosting a known “degenerate” and wizarding dipsomaniac? What would your precious Minister think?
H: I’m sending it back.
D: Fine. Do whatever you want. I’m just trying to show the wizard a good time.
H: And I don’t?
D: You said it. Not me.
H: Malfoy, Greg is my boyfriend. You are just going to have to get over this.
D: Yeah, probably never going to happen.
H: Don’t even bother coming tomorrow night. If you don’t accept me, well, I guess I always figured there was a chance.
D: Don’t pretend you don’t hate me.
H: I can put it aside for one night.
D: Ugh. You’re literally the worst. I am more stressed out from this conversation than a fucking dementor’s kiss.
H: Stop being so dramatic. I saw your files, Malfoy. I know that never happened.
D: I can imagine this is worse.
H: Are you coming tomorrow or not? However you and I feel about each other, I know Greg would want to see you.
D: Yeah. Sure.
H: Pick up these bottles. Today. Before he gets home.
D: Whatever, Granger.
One hour later
H: Tipsy is really lovely
D: I know
H: I wasn’t aware Malfoy Manor had free elves.
D: Part of my probation, Granger, so don’t go thinking you had anything to do with it.
H: I really can’t with you. Do whatever you need to do to be there for Greg, but do me a favour, and stay away from me tomorrow night.
D: No fucking problem
D: {photo of a couple dancing in a dark room}
D: Look, I wasn’t going to send this, but Goyle seemed happy or whatever..
D: It’s from his party last month
H: Right. Thank you, Malfoy
D: Yeah, well, I also wanted to delete it off my mobile.
D: So that’s done
H: That was actually decent of you. To take it, I mean
D: I can take a bloody photo, Granger
